They offer a huge variety of class types, styles and skill levels to meet the needs of all families when the time is right. But we wanted it to be a positive experience first and foremost. This is exactly what Mrs. Hillary White and her lovely dance teachers exemplify.We have been so impressed with Hillary and have been so thrilled to have her as a dance teacher 2+ years in a row for our little one. It has been the best foundation we could ask for. I feel she teaches more than just dance; she teaches important skills like confidence, respect, care, routine, friendship, hard work and of course beautiful technique, strength, and dance skill. I don’t know how she manages to teach, direct and own the studio (plus many other hats she wears well!) but she does it with tremendous professionalism, organization, creative skill, talent and best of all, she provides a personal touch and a big genuine smile to each family at her studio.You can really feel the family owned and run environment here but also backed with decades of experience in the industry. We started with Mommy and Me class at age 2 and continued with PreDance for 3 yr and 4 yr old age for our child. We just completed our first successful recital tonight and it was so fun, entertaining, heartwarming, well organized … just a real honor and pleasure to be part of. They have thought of everything and delivered a fabulous experience for dancers and their families.We LOVE Nan’s and Hillary!! Thank you for an amazing experience!

Colleen McKeon: We absolutely LOVE Nan’s school of dance! We started mid year in 2020 and we’re welcomed with open arms. Miss Hilary and all the other dance instructors are professional, personable, fantastic teachers and make dance FUN for their classes. Margot Tenenbaum: If you’re looking for mediocre dance lessons in a run down building then this is the place for you!! Want to relax while your child runs around aimlessly for an hour? Forget it, you will be segregated and forced to sit outside if you don’t wear a mask. We dropped out of this school after about a month. Not impressed.

Amy Vancura: My daughter has danced at Nan's School of Dance since she was 4 years old, she is now 12. We love everything about Nan's! The teachers are amazing...not only are they all talented dancers but they all love teaching dance. Ms. Hillary puts together the best recitals. She is extremely organized and prepares the students so well to perform. My daughter has grown so much as a dancer during her years at Nan's. I can't recommend Ms. Hillary and her team enough!!!

H Davidson: My two girls have danced with this studio since my oldest was 4 years old and my youngest was turning 3. They are now 11 and turning 9. The both absolutely loves the classes offered and the teachers. The studio isn’t very “stuffy” if you know what I mean. Everyone is relaxed and just wants their kids to enjoy themselves. My oldest made the inaugural Company team last year and it made her year! The company classes are so well run. They won 1st place in their very first competition. My youngest is happy to be a recreational dancer and is ecstatic to be in the Acro Dance class this coming season. We’ll dance here until the girls no longer dance (most likely when they move away for college).

Michelle Mellow: Antes de Covid, les habría dado una revisión de 4 estrellas. Durante COVID, mi calificación es de una estrella, así que promedié esto. La calificación de 4 estrellas es porque mi hija siempre ha sido muy feliz bailando aquí y sería cinco estrellas pero no ha habido un nivel de instrucción adecuado para un bailarín más serio, más allá de la recreación semanal. La calificación de una estrella durante COVID se debe a algunas cosas. Primero, tienen una política de uso de máscaras pero realmente no la hacen cumplir (afirman que están siguiendo el mandato del estado). En múltiples ocasiones he visto a bailarines entrar al edificio sin máscaras (mayores de 5 años, seguro). Se toman la temperatura, pero no hacen cumplir la política de mascarillas si no la usan. Además, si te inscribiste en una clase de 30 minutos, tendrás suerte si tu bailarín recibe entre 15 y 20 minutos de instrucción real. Desafortunadamente, no han amortiguado el tiempo para entrar o salir con las nuevas precauciones de COVID. Durante varias semanas seguidas, la clase anterior a la nuestra tuvo un estudiante sin un padre esperando para recogerlo a la hora de la salida. Esto significaba que la maestra de mi hija comería 5 minutos de su clase de 30 minutos esperando afuera con el estudiante. Las clases también terminan unos 5 minutos antes. No me importa un poco de gracia con COVID, pero hay demasiados problemas en este momento. Otra preocupación durante COVID (no es culpa de Nan) es que hay una escuela de teatro unas puertas más abajo. El estacionamiento está súper ocupado al igual que la acera fuera del estudio. Sospecho que la escuela de teatro tiene muchos más estudiantes en sus clases de los que se permiten para una reunión en el interior en este momento y el distanciamiento social es realmente difícil si está recogiendo o dejando cuando la escuela de teatro está haciendo lo mismo.La peor parte, si da aviso de no regresar, incluso durante COVID todavía están cobrando una multa de matrícula de un mes. Si se espera que proporcione gracia para cosas como clases que comienzan tarde y terminan temprano, deben extender algo de gracia y no cobrar una penalización por cancelación si se da aviso.
