tim zou: Uno de los mejores colegios comunitarios, los maestros y el personal son increíbles. ILC es muy útil, pero tienes que trabajar más duro para obtener algunos de los materiales más avanzados. Alyssa Keister: Wake Tech ha sido una maravillosa experiencia universitaria. Buttercups: You remember when the pandemic started, and everyone had to start learning how to use computers? Now imagine, a bunch of teachers, creating online courses from scratch with no help. ITS A DISASTER. Its like NO ONE set a criteria for how the classes should follow a general structure, so that students aren't spending the first 2 weeks of every new class trying to figure out what is what. Its like no one showed them, "this is the gold standard"... this is what a well put together black board class looks like. The online courses are archaic. (Dr. Frear, I complained about some things and I am sorry. After seeing what else is our there( summer 2022), HOLY MOLY. Your blackboard set up is the least confusing and was by far, the best thing I have seen yet)Instructors use blackboard, not as a classroom but as a file folder system. Instead of using the platform, they made it so that every thing is word documents and or files you have to download when they could have just simply used the actual platform. I should only be downloading PowerPoint slides, worksheets, homework, etc. Not opening a document to read something you could have made a video and "instructed" us or copy and pasted to the platform.Does anyone know the definition of a syllabus there? It should be all encompassing. I shouldn't have to read 5 documents to figure out how I will be graded, what I will be graded on, the rules, the expectations, which books I need to buy. If the department has a syllabus, I'm pretty sure you are supposed to take that document and incorporate it into your own, at the very least create an addendum/appendix.My Grades should clearly have due dates, weighted totals, and all of the grade-able items at the start of the class. There should be no, imagining what my grade is at any given moment.

Henry Royster: Traveled a hour and half arrived at my class a hour early just to find out that they canceled without notification. So disappointing but I lived.
Andrika Crawley: They have multiple bus stops with no signs of where to go for which one. Missed plenty of buses waiting at the wrong stop. I don’t think signs are that expensive.
Cassandra Ramos: This joke of an institution has been absolutely nothing but headaches from the very beginning of enrolling to trying to get my records to transfer. Extremely rude staff including professors. No one working within the Wake Tech community is genuine or sincere. I was hospitalized with Covid-19 & 3/4 of my professors would not let me make up work missed during hospitalization. Every time I call to speak to a specific Person or department, they sound extremely annoyed they had to answer the phone— I’ve even been hung up on mi sentence. It’s almost as if they make your time here so miserable that you will just drop mid semester so they can keep your money and then scam the next naive student who is looking to further there education. Now that I am trying to transfer there is an entire new set of problems. I want to pay from Wake Tech and NEVER look back.Buyer beware- they make it seem like such a good place to earn an associates degree, certificate etc but once you’re in.. it’s not that easy.
Steven Murphy: Bookstore and library hours aren’t good for people who work a daytime job. You pay tuition for the ability to pay for an online course and receive little to no instruction. This campus seems to have spent the pandemic building round-a-bouts all over the parking lots.

Makayla Cruz: This is a really amazing school with great staff! Mr. Weaver (assistant principal) is amazing and would do anything for his students. He really goes above and beyond! I don't know why he isn't principle yet!!!! He should be! I graduated in 2020 and all of my teachers throughout those 4 years were great and did their best to create a fun learning environment. And this is not coming from a straight A student. When I have kids, they are coming to this high school. You can't get better teachers or staff members at any other school.
Malachi Maxey: Vernon Malone is a great opportunity for any high schooler who is serious about going to college, Vernon allows you to get your associates degree in high school and 60 credits. This was definitely the right choice for my education.

Zack Kadera: This school is absolutely fabulous.I've gone here for 3 years.The students are the nicest teenagers I've ever met.After going to EGMMS, I went here in full defense mode expecting to be bullied every day like I used to be, but instead I met legitimately nice people who act like professional human beings. (not that there weren't people at EGMMS that were nice, but they had a lot of bad people, and EVERYONE I've met at VMCCA has been a nice and friendly person.) The teachers are of a high quality, Their Project Based Learning is very beneficial to the learning process and is preferable to the usual method. This place is CLEAN AS HECK. It's strange to see a school that is so clean. I have seen 0 roaches, and at EGMMS I saw a live roach eating a dead roach and thought "Just another Wednesday morning, as usual.", so my standards for hygiene are fairly low. The college courses are of a high quality. I've been on honor roll for the entirety of my time here, and I've even reached A-honor roll for the first time while I was here, so this school definitely helps students improve. Overall, this school gets an 11/10 from me, if you even think about sending your kids somewhere else, just know that you are missing out on one of the few great public high schools in the country.PS: The hallways are SO quiet. There isn't a SINGLE student screaming.I can't say the same for my middle school. MsWildman98: My child has been going to this school for two years now. He struggled in regular high school despite how intelligent he is. He has grown tremendously here. This is the most supportive school I have dealt with as a parent. I hope my younger child has a chance to go here when the time comes. I wanted to give special kudos for keeping the school running despite not being in the building after a hurricane and still having record honor roll recipients despite being spread over the county.

Maya Shmueli: Claire assisted me today at this ulta location and although she humbly claimed to “just be doing her job” she went above and beyond any treatment I’ve ever received at an ulta. It felt like I was being helped by a friend, while maintaining professionalism. She was warm, kind and I felt like she genuinely cared about my well being and me as a person. She provided one of the greatest customer service experiences I’ve had a retail store. I believe she should be recognized for this and hope she receives the credit she should be due for going above and beyond for a customer.
Til G: Went to this location today to purchase nail polish. Was told by the sales associate that I had to give her a phone number in order to make a purchase. I kept questioning her then she said if I purchased anything without putting a phone number on file I couldn’t return it. I said even with a printed receipt? She confirmed. I called Ulta Corporate and they confirmed you can make purchases without a rewards a rewards account, you don’t need to provide a number and you can make a return (with a receipt). Having a number makes it easier because they can look it up image you lose it, but it’s not required. He even said on their website you can make purchases as a guest without signing up for their rewards program. Additionally the corporate representative shared they’ve gotten many complaints about this practice with associates trying to force customers to create accounts to make a purchase.Update: Was able to make a successful purchase at a different Ulta. Read the back of the receipt for the return policy!
Dylon 23: Went in about 45 minutes before closing. Was never greeted (which is fine it doesn't need to be a classy experience). When I made my selection and took it to the cashier I said hello because she wasn't facing me and then was told very emotionless "I'll be right there". I told them I'm not giving my phone number but they kept persisting. I did give my first name though. When asked for my last name I told her politely no and was informed "Well that's how things work here". I feel bad your employees are forced to badger people for their personal information. I put my items back on the shelf and will be gladly taking my money elsewhere.

Kel C: The salon and brow bar have great people working! A large store that is open and spacious! Clean lines and so many things to see.The Ulta app has some issues, so if you make an appointment make sure you get a text within a minute verifying your appointment.
Joy King: The staff at the hair salon is wonderful especially Terrie who has been doing my hair for sometime. Terrie is an amazing hairstylist and I recommend her to anybody.

Leah Urdzik: Store doesn’t have much going for it. Not a great selection. Most employees aren’t that bad but the managers are super rude. Just go to a different Ulta.

She escorted me to the areas and searched for the best product imaginable. During our conversation, she chatted with me about my individual beauty needs. Dreisa’s excellent salesmanship and patience with her clients will definitely bring me and my friends again!

Kandace Rice: Así que esta suele ser mi tienda Ulta, que frecuento desde que me mudé a Raleigh. Es muy conveniente para mí y para mi salón, que está literalmente a 5 minutos. Sin embargo, después de esta noche, conduciré por la ciudad para llegar a un Ulta. Fui a este lugar literalmente hace unos 10 minutos e hice una devolución de algunos productos para las cejas que terminé sin importarme demasiado después de probarlos. La joven que profesaba mi regreso me preguntó amablemente si usaba alguno de los productos y en su mayoría fue sí, excepto una de las pomadas para cejas. No hubo más problemas con la devolución. Se procesó con normalidad. Luego le pregunté sobre una marca específica de productos para las cejas y ella me acompañó al área. Mientras estaba de compras y en realidad recogí un puñado de productos para las cejas de esa marca, escuché a la misma mujer decir en voz alta "Le pregunté claramente si usó esto" a sus compañeros de trabajo y debieron notar que todavía estaba en la tienda antes de Cristo, luego bajaron la voz diciéndole lo que debería haber hecho, es demasiado tarde, pero supongamos que se ha usado, bla, bla. He trabajado en el comercio minorista muchos años antes y una cosa que nunca me importó demasiado como empleado o empleador es hacer comentarios absurdos en voz alta sobre los clientes, especialmente cuando todavía están en la tienda. Al instante me molesté y podría haber dicho algo, ¡pero simplemente devolví mis artículos y me fui a otro Ulta! Es literalmente el crecimiento en mí lo que me enorgullece.

Kimberly Wagner: I graduated from the Animation and Game Design degree in 2016. Do not attend this school. They like to use buzzwords like "pipeline" and "industry standard tools" but none of that was actually taught here.My first interview after college I lost to the person in Professional Services that was supposed to be helping me get hired. They NEVER contacted me after graduation to ask how I was doing, where I was interviewing, help me land interviews--all things promised to me and my parents when I applied and attended.I spent nearly three years, took numerous unpaid opportunities, and spent hundreds of dollars on online courses in order to bridge the gigantic gap between my education and actual industry standard. They can claim it is up to the student to reach that level, but no ACTUAL good college has their students graduate with work ten years behind the industry standard.We were not taught real pipelines, version control, industry standard software like ZBrush and Substance. There was no guidance on salary expectations, what to do AFTER your interview (following up, asking for feedback, etc), and I was blindsided when I was asked to do my first art test--words I had never even heard before.I would not and will not ever recommend this scam of a school to anyone. Look up lists of Animation and Game Dev schools, and this college will not be on any of them.

Jacobe King: I'm a film major and so far so good. I have learned so much and I've only been here for a little more than a month. Great staff, and ample opportunity to get hands on experience. Also great collaborating with other art departments on our projects. I only wish I could've been involved with setting the schedules for my classes. Maybe we'll do it together next semester.

Living Arts College provides great opportunity for anyone who is willing and ready to achieve their working goals whether it is employees or students!
