Sameer Khan: Apologies in advance for the length of this review but I wouldn't be doing Terrance and A Driven U justice if I did not fully share my experiences:TL;DR - Facility - 5/5, Professionalism 5/5, Cost 5/5, customized meal plans 5/5, customized workouts 5/5, Results 5/5.I hired Terrance for 10 weeks, 3 times a week to help me get into better shape for my upcoming wedding. It was the best decision I could make.Initial meeting: Terrance invited me over to his gym; the facility was extremely clean and well put together; we talked towards my goals, my workout limitations; my current diet and we took my Body fat %, BMI, weight and full body measurements. The initial meeting was amazing; Terrance is extremely approachable, was able to address all my questions and concerns, walked through the high level plan for the next ten weeks and level set my expectations of what could be achieved if I was willing to work hard.Diet: Terrance provided me with a meal plan every week, what to cook, what to eat, when to eat, how much water to drink, my caloric intake, what were good foods and what were bad foods and how to eat healthy, not diet. It was a game changer. I eat out a lot for work but he was able to help me look at menus for the restaurants I was going to and suggest what I should get to ensure I stay on the right path. He was able to provide me with balance between eating my veggies, proteins but also occasionally having a steak dinner and some ice cream. He also held me accountable; after meal prep sometimes he'd ask for me to show him a picture of what I cooked; this helped me ALOT - I knew if I failed I wouldn't just be letting myself down but I'd be letting him down - he becomes vested in his clients development.Workouts: The workouts were HARD. Terrance will push you out of your comfort zone and motivate you to achieve new goals. If you're coming to A Driven U's gym know that you are coming to work; you will have some instances where you will feel like you can't do it; but he will be right there motivating you and helping you finish off your sets. He did not let me quit on myself. He is extremely well informed with his workout regime; He taught me the benefits of not being the guy who can lift the heaviest weights; lower weights with higher reps helped me generate a leaner, stronger body. One thing of note; in my ten weeks with Terrance; no day was the same; he was able to keep it exciting, fun and creative.Overall: The quality of my time with Terrance is something that I will never forget; so much so that even after my wedding I kept seeing Terrance. The results: I was down over 10 pounds, my fat % had decreased significantly meaning that I had put on a lot more muscle. My wedding was amazing, my confidence was through the roof and I felt stronger.Thanks Terrance! I couldn't have gotten this far without you - If you are in the Raleigh area I highly recommend Terrance as your personal trainer AND nutritionist; its rare you find a personal trainer that will also help you as your nutritionist - he's the complete package and an investment with him is an investment in yourself.

Kathy Forrest: I've been working out at Personally Fit for several years now. I have had such great results! In an hour we go through cardio, strength training, and stretching. I've lost weight, gained friends, and enjoyed myself to boot. I've seen other health-related benefits in terms of stress relief and even strengthening of my bones. The Personally Fit trainers meet everyone where they are, compensating for injuries, weaker joints, and other issues their clients may have and help us reach our personal goals with encouragement, humor, and a warm, personal approach to EVERYONE! It's a great place to work out and I highly recommend Personally Fit.UPDATE: I wrote the above review 8 years ago and I wanted to let everyone know I am STILL at Personally Fit for all of the same reasons. The trainers continue to be warm, personable, and knowledgeable in the areas of health and fitness. We still have a good time, in an encouraging and inviting atmospher. The coaches are constantly learning themselves, which helps everyone who enters the gym, that is certainly one of the advantages at Personally Fit. I still highly recommend!

Alex Etkin: Chris is a phenomenal trainer. From day one, he listened to what I wanted to accomplish, added some additional goals, and helped me achieve them. I stand today, 3 months since the beginning of training with Chris, a 21 year old who lost 25 lbs, bench pressed 245 lbs, squatted 445 lbs, and deadlifted 365 lbs in a one hour timeframe. Truly thankful for all that he has done to help me get into shape :)

Abigail Burns: I've been consistently training at Capital Strength & Conditioning with Eli Hines for about 2.5 months now and can say without doubt it is one of the best decisions I've made for myself and my health in a long time. I'm an active person and have wanted to try personal training for years, but always talked myself out of it. I am so glad I took the leap of faith to try it! The staff at Capital Strength & Conditioning are incredibly welcoming and informative and the facility is well equipped, clean, and easily accessible.Eli has done an amazing job meeting me where I am at strength wise, listening to my goals and priorities for training, and building a tailored workout plan to help me meet my goals. He is incredibly knowledgeable, answers my plethora of questions every session, and best of all makes our workout sessions fun. Joshua Huang: Great gym with a lot of space and wide array of different equipment. All the trainers are friendly and very knowledgeable. Currently, I workout with Emerson, he does a really good job of balancing challenging with achievable while keeping safety in mind.
David Williams: This is a terrific gym run by a great team! If you’re looking for training sessions, check out Emerson, he’s really amazing.
Sam Pressman: Cooper Howe and all the coaches at Capital Strength are exceptional. I've worked with Cooper for over a year and a half now and I can't believe the physical (and mental) gains I've received. I look forward to going to the gym now! Cooper is great at creating engaging workouts, explaining exactly what muscles are being worked, and checking in on progress outside of the gym. He's quick on his feet when it comes to altering workouts due to injury or fatigue.Capital Strength recently expanded their location. The facility is clean and everyone there is extremely friendly. They have every piece of equipment you could ever need. I would recommend it to anyone looking to grow - muscle, endurance, AND confidence.

CSC is the best. The facility is neat, clean and organized. All the equipment is well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. (I’m on a first name basis with many of the staff.)The CSC business model is focused on the client. I’m working with Cooper Howe, my personal trainer & strength coach. In our first conversation, we discussed my goals and aspirations. Cooper created a personal plan including workouts, goals for nutrition and sleep, and workouts to do on my own to augment the work we do together in the gym. The plan is paying off – I’m eating better, sleeping better, and feeling fitter.CSC is simply the best fitness, exercise, and weightlifting experience you can possibly imagine.

Ben. It's definitely a love-hate relationship with the guy. He knows his Fitness stuff. Everytime I have a fitness question, he's got an answer. Always has something to say. Okay, "Mr. I-went-to-college-for-exercise-science-and-I-have-a-degree" 🙄. But really though, hes super knowledgeable. I never had a trainer before that actually cared or will add in new exercises to ensure I'm working the muscle groups I'm supposed to be working.Now, let's move on to the gym itself. It can appear intimidating at first glance. Giant, complicated-looking machines at every which way you look. Machines that make me, a small 5'3" lady, look even more demure. But the people and atmosphere are all vibrant and infectious. The people there who are also on their Fitness journey are all diverse.I was never scared of feeling like I didn't belong here (but when I'm mid-set of a really grueling deadlift, I literally want to be anywhere but here ). But then again, strangers quickly become gym buddies as you share in the struggle and the laughter. I've made some of the funniest memories here, and trust me, when you're doubled over with laughter mid-plank, it somehow makes the whole experience more bearable.To sum it up, Ben and the gym are a winning combination of fitness, laughter, and camaraderie. They've turned my journey to a healthier lifestyle into a joyous adventure, complete with hilarious anecdotes and memories. So, if you're tired of the same old boring workouts and want to spice up your exercise routine with a dose of humor, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this trainer and gym a try. Who said getting fit couldn't be a laughing matter?Warning: Side effects may include uncontrollable smiles, frequent outbreaks of laughter-induced abs, and an addiction to gym camaraderie. They work with you to build customized plans based on your specific goals, body type, life-style. They’re respectful and patient, they push you when they need to, take a step back and show genuine care for your imitations. Their willingness to communicate is outstanding. While the entire staff is great. The trainers I have personally worked with the most are Peter, Rielle and Eli.Eli Hines is an absolute rockstar. He’s not just your fitness trainer, he’s a mentor. he doesn’t just help you get physical fit, he guides you towards better mental practices, lifestyle, diet etc. if you’re ready to turn your life around, he’ll make sure to get you real results.
Vaishnavi Shanmugam: We have been training at Capital for the past 8 months now and it has been one of our best experiences! The coaches are super friendly and they take our objectives seriously! We love training with our coach Carey ❤️ She has helped us tremendously in bringing up our fitness levels and building strength. She also quickly jumps in to take care of any mobility issues we encounter and also make modifications to the workout to be more aligned to individual needs. She is very well prepared for all the sessions and takes good care of us. She is an absolute JOY to work with such that we do not mind traveling extra miles to get to our sessions every week.
