Tanisha Corey: At first things were going good. There were 3 guys, I had 5 pieces of furniture and washer and dryer. Took them 4 hours and cost me about $600 (felt like this could have been done quicker) especially because I felt like the 3rd guy went missing for a while (I think he walked to the store or something) but anyways I still paid cause I had to get this stuff done. I still had a lot of boxes to move, Dwayne tells me to call him directly and he could give me a discount to get the rest of my stuff moved. We scheduled for Sunday 10/30/22 at 10am. I went and rented a Uhaul and picked it up at 9am so I was ready to go. So time went by and they were late so I call him.. he says "oh I couldn't find your number (mind you we talked the day before around noon) we are finishing up a job and will be there by 12pm. So things happen so I was ok. 1pm rolls around and they still were not here so I called and he ignored the call and sent it to voicemail. I called 2 more times and he did the same thing and never showed up. So there I was stuck with a Uhaul truck and no movers. Very unprofessional way to handle business.

KENA ANJEL: If I could give this company a negative star I would. I normally don’t leave reviews but this moving experience was a nightmare. There were three men sent to move me from a 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT to a house that was 10 minutes down the street. The movers took 7 hours to complete the move!!! They also broke my bed, my kids dresser and my tv stand. Once the job was horribly completed they quoted me $1100+. After several negotiation attempts we agreed to $760. The dispatcher agreed the job should not have taken that long and the workers were lazy. Later this company used my credit card on file and stole $400+. I called to dispute and the owner says there was never an agreement. Stealing from a customer when you have provided poor quality service is sickening. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!!!

Christina Faison: The moving team was great! Our stuff was moved from the first floor to the third floor with no damages. The guys were friendly and professional.We would definitely use their service again if we move. 10/10!

Jessica Richmond: I took the day off to meet these guys and they called to tell me they'd be late, okay understandable. Then they called to tell me they wouldn't be coming that day at all, they'd have to come in the morning because their truck broke down, okay these things happen. They show up in the morning with too small of a truck and leave my storage unit half full and ask "is this good?", no this is not good. Then they scratched up our couch. And we're rude about it saying "there's no evidence we did that," okay sure we're not forensic experts but the cuts in the leather weren't there before and now they are. Never an apology or offer for a discount. I'm only thankful they were able to do the move on short notice... which I guess now know why they were available.

I don't do ratings/surveys for companies, but this one.... WOW. My moving time was booked between 2-4PM on 9/26/21. Crew is supposed to call before arrival. At 4:43 PM, I received call saying crew was running behind from their morning job and I'd receive a call when they were otw. At 7:59 PM, I reached out to see what time to expect them in the morning, as no one had reached out or showed up. I was told between 9-11 AM. At 12:10 PM on 9/27, I reached out again because they still hadn't showed up. I was told that my paperwork was filed incorrectly, I should have been prioritized, but wasn't. I asked if I could be put in today's 2-4 slot. He said he'd call me back. Received call from someone else who said sorry we can't help you today. You should see if you can find another moving company since it needs to be done today. Sorry, we can't send a crew out to you today. I've been in the hospital, and we've had some scheduling issues since I've been out. We could do it tomorrow.... NOPE they already dropped the ball twice, they don't get a 3rd chance to screw me over. Will never recommend them to anyone.

JB Henderson: Horrible experience. We scheduled a moving appt with DC Movers for a Saturday at 9am and they didn’t arrive until 5:30pm… Once they arrived, the movers- Fred & DJ were excellent and very careful with our furniture. We tipped the movers appropriately but tried to negotiate a discount with the moving company since they were 8.5 hours late… Long story short, they only offered us a 10% discount and charged our credit card without permission (we tried to pay in cash to avoid the 3% fee). Also, during the negotiation talks on Monday afternoon, Jessica at the main office accused us of “yelling at her” and “acting a fool” and then hung up on us. Incredibly, horrendous customer service. DO NOT recommend using this company.

Takira Jones: Amazing job and great company. Charles and Quran helped us move out of our 3-bed apartment (1500 sq ft) on the 3rd floor. We were so stressed about this move because we weren’t sure all of our things were going to fit in our storage unit but they made it work! They are excellent, professional, friendly, and handled our items with great care. Also, they are super strong. We had some heavy pieces that we thought would require 2 people to lift. They were able to take care of those pieces individually and we were so shocked. So great to work with them. They were quick and efficient. Highly recommend this company and those two movers.

The Driver was very polite ,But they need to Train the employee Movers how to be more Professional no matter who their Customers are and always carry tools in the truck since they may have to disconnect hoses for washer machines. The Quoted price was not the same price that was given for the Economy Rate after the move was finished. Plus they did not reassemble the beds. Plus no one wore a mask. I'm not impressed.

deshaun sellers: My move was on Wednesday May 26th. I gave them two stars because they took me a week before my move, because another moving company could not make my scheduled time. I was a little disappointed with the service afterwards and the damage of my furniture during my move. The actual movers were very kind and courteous. They were very apologetic for all the damage. What really disappointed me is the fact that I made the move as easy as possible by having everything packed and broken down. Unlike most companies none of my furniture was wrapped.I was assured by the movers that the owner, DC, would "take care" of the damage. They even took pictures and sent them to him the day of the move and assured me that DC would contact me. I called the following Tuesday to check on why I hadn't received a call or email. The woman who picked up the phone was very kind and assured me that DC would be getting in contact with me with the necessary paperwork to file a claim. After another two phone calls, with messages left with the assistant, and still no return call or email about damage I have just said forget it. It's obvious he's fine now that I've already paid so why would he care?I just wonder how things would've went had I decided not to pay him. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have liked that one bit. I included some pictures of a few of the damaged items. I couldn't get to other ones to take pics because my furniture is in storage. May Alexander: Do not use this company. Zero stars should be an option.The movers were 5 hours late with a truck to small, so it required 2 trips. They called 20 minutes into the arrival window stating that they would be about 2-3 hours late. I had to call them after 3 hours and was told they would get back with me. I didn't get a call for another 2 plus hours. When they finally arrived the movers were tired from a previous move and my move took 7 hours. The movers were ill prepared and seemed shocked that they were moving a 3 bedroom apartment with exercise equipment, there were not informed that the new residence had 2 sets of stairs. They left things at my previous residence that are very difficult to move in a hatchback. One of the movers became disoriented/inebriated during the first unload and was actually trying to take things out of the new residence. My partner had to assist with unloading the truck both times, not just put this here or there, but carrying boxes and furniture to where it belonged. The movers couldn't figure basic things out and did not want to move certain things saying that it wasn't possible. This was ridiculous because all of the items came into my old residence in the same state they were leaving. They were so tired that the basic process of turning a chair on it's side to get it through a doorway escaped them.Immediately after they left I emailed the company and told them not to charge my card and call me first thing the next business day. I didn't get a call until almost noon and they had already charged my card. When I shared the above information and felt that a large part of the issue was with management and not the actual movers I was asked what I thought I should pay for the service. I suggested 50% since they provided about half of the service I was contracted for. When I was emailed back (not called) they gave a 15% discount and when I asked how they thought they did an 85% job on the contract services I just got a 'were sorry you weren't satisfied'. Susy huffman: This was our third move with DC Movers. It has gone well each time. This time it was a move for my parents in Raleigh. They previously moved us from Greensboro to Charlotte and a local move in Greensboro. We have used them and referred them so many times we a practically on a first name bases. My mom found the man who did the estimate warm and friendly and was very happy with our recommendation. Hopefully we are done with the relocation thing for a while but when we have need again we will use DC Movers. Thanks!

Can’t wait to use this company again !!We just had College Hunks come to our house again, and to be succinct, they were amazing. Hauled away a ping pong table and other large items (and smaller) and were extremely professional. Tyrese and Roy could not have been any better. Roy broke down the cost while all 3 of us walked and looked at all the items. Once they began, it took all of maybe 20 minutes and it occupied a solid portion of their large truck. Price was completely fair, yet competitive with other places we looked at. It was $350+ at every place we priced and it came to exactly that amount. Once again…can’t wait to use them in the future!

Sherry Hamilton: We had 2 homes, a garage and 2 storage units moved the end of January. I have left numerous voicemails, called and transferred to employee after employee with no resolution. We are missing valuable boxes and items from this move and furniture that was damaged. One of the homes we had loaded up was a rental unit and the front porch metal railing was pulled back from the home that the landlord would like payment for when the team was brining furniture out of the front door. We were not told that the trucks would not be unloaded the day of the move. One of the trucks ended up in the ditch of our driveway. Instead of having the other truck go ahead and unload at the new home they said they had to wait together and the trucks would have to go the next day which left us without a bed to sleep in for the night. We were told the trucks would be brought to their facility for safe keeping overnight. After last attempt today I was told that I needed to file a claim. After 5 months and this just came about? Why did it take me calling again today and explaining I would not be making another call to the company the next call would be my lawyer for someone to tell me I need to file a claim? Wrong on so many levels.

Amanda Watson: We just used Miracle Movers for a long distance move from North Carolina to Missouri. I had price compared between several companies, and ultimately chose Miracle Movers because of their customer service and how kind they were when I asked a million questions. We had Cory and another gentleman, originally from New York, unfortunately I didn’t get his name, as our crew. The 2 of them showed up on time, had us loaded in under a couple hours, and were great with all our stuff. Cory asked when we’d like our belongings, and I was in shock that they were willing to drive through the night to have our stuff to us ASAP. They arrived to our new place on time, a day after leaving NC, and had us unloaded in under 2 hours again. They were awesome guys, gentle with our belongings, and I couldn’t recommend them more. Moving is stressful, but I can say Miracle Movers made the process as stress free as possible!
