G A: Went here for my bachelorette party during Trolli Pub crawl tour which stopped near here. The driver encouraged us to patronize The Anchor Bar.We went in with about 4 people to get a quick shot. It was a busy weekend in town but the bar was not “slammed” at 2:30 PM in a Saturday. He didn’t serve us for fifteen minutes. We waited. And waited. After ten, we were finally at least acknowledged when he told us he would help up shortly.He was purely rude and did NOT want to serve us. We all just could not figure out why? Were we profiled? We were a mixed group though. Maybe it is more of a sit down place? But, none the less the message was loud and clear that he was hoping we would wait till we left from frustration.When the shot came he even ignored me when I asked what type of tequila it was? Then tried to say “oh you’re talking to me?” There was no other bartender working. I dunno-I will let the trolli tour know not to suggest this place to it’s clients 😳 two stars cause the shots were fat

The staff (Lydia, hopefully the spelling is not to bad) was very helpful and answered all of my questions and taught me a lot about mezcal and tequila! I had the Agua Santa which was amazing, not to spicy but a pleasant heat to it. I also had Siempre and La venenosa raicilla which was a unique and exciting experience, ecpeically La venenosa raicilla, probably the best spirit I've had so far. I would recommend this place to everyone that are interested in good drinks and good times!

Kyle Fetaline: Great vibe on the rooftop bar and was mostly shaded at dinner time. Flies were expected, but the ant army was unwelcome. One of the servers clearly put their thumb in the coleslaw, leaving a smudge trail on the plate. Our waitress disappeared after confirming food was delivered, never to be seen again.Drinks were good and menu prices were quite reasonable. Everyone enjoyed their food. Despite the flaws, I’ll give it another try someday.

I agree with another post saying slaw was meh, but I'll still order again. Hubby enjoyed the bangers (sausages) abd said the mashed potatoes were really good. Also came with delicious onion rings that I ate! Dipping trio appy was yum too!We dined on a Friday around 6pm before the rush. Perfect time for great service!

Rachel Nosacka: Service was really really lacking. There only 10-15 guests total while we were there yet our server rarely came by. We ordered a second round of drinks that never came and watched the bar tenders on their phone or just standing- clearly the server hadn't passed along our drink orders. When we tried to flag her down to our table for the ticket she ignored us. When we finally went to the bar to pay for our 1 round of drinks she stood with her back to us talking to the bartender ignoring us while the 2nd bartender was on her phone ignoring us. mind you this is a very small room. You have to work to not notice what's going on around you. Then she finally gave us the ticket with 2 round of drinks on it. When we said that we never got our second round she tried to argue with us. The atmosphere was great and music was good. The drinks we got were very tasty. We we're planning to bring our friends but changed our minds. Do not want to deal with this kind of service again for the price.

Lindsay Harris: We had the pleasure of visiting The Green Light while in town for a special occasion. It did not disappoint! It had a very cool vibe beginning with the bookcase entrance followed by the cool, speakeasy setting once inside. The cocktails are fabulous and the bartender and manager (Justin and Reid) were very helpful with recommendations as well as exceptional hospitality. We definitely recommend visiting if you get the chance as we will if we are back in town!
Colleen B: Forever my go-to place for: taking out of town guests, date night, low key girls night, after dinner night cap, pre-dinner cocktail, or just a quiet respite right after your work day. I recommend coming during the week and early as it can get quite busy, crowded and loud. Very small space, tucked behind a bookcase, the cocktail list is always giving major craft vibes and nearly all of them can be adjusted based on preferences. Often, the bartender will give fantastic recommendations based on your preferences and desires. Speaking of staff, that's really my main reason for knocking off a star. The staff is either really great and or not. It feels like when I go, even when they're not busy, I either get a bartender that is engaging or ambivalent and bored.

Oscar Nemeth: A fantastic little bar adjacent to the Morgan St. food hall, Aunty Betty's has a great selection of different cocktails, a very knowledgeable and friendly bartender who is great at making custom one-off cocktails, and really high quality liquors, liqueurs, vermouths, etc. to make anything you could imagine.Stopping by in the middle of the day is always great since it's usually not terribly busy. In the summer when you need to cool off it's great - the bartender is a huge hydrohomie and his cocktails are always cool and refreshing.The prices seem high until you realize just how expensive some of the bottles used in the drinks are, the creative process behind the drinks, the skill in mixing, and the fact that you're in a popular part of Raleigh.
Casey Mozingo: Stumbled across this bar in Morgan Street Food Hall. The art drew me in and the drinks kept me there. Love the menu, especially all of the options that leave the decision in the hands of the bartender. How fun!
dan smith: This was my first time here and it was early for cocktails but the atmosphere was great. The small bar was mostly filled with folks (bartenders?) talking shop with the bartender who was obviously well respected by the folks at the bar. Gin and tonic and bartender’s choice dirty martini were both lovely. Several local bartenders have recommended Aunty Betty’s for craft cocktails and I was definitely not disappointed and will comeback soon.
