Angie Carden: I booked an appt for 3:45 for my border collie to get groomed and the tech called and asked if I could move up my appt so he could have time to dry. I was in Atlantic Beach at the time so I had to leave extra early to accommodate this. Once I got to the store she looked him over from head to toe and found a mat behind his ear and said she could not bathe him per petco policy because of his mat. This made no sense to me whatsoever. Isnt that what groomers do? They take out the mats and bathe him. Such a waste of time. It seemed to me that she just didn't want to do her job.

A real mess to clean, but more importantly, my dog is now SICK! I go to return them today. All the supervisor could say is she so surprised I’m returning them. She never had anyone return them before. That I’m the first person to do so. Yeah! They made my dog SICK!!! Wow. How out of touch can a pet store’s supervisor be? Absolutely no concern. Then she doesn’t even give me a proper refund. Again. Wow. No I’m sorry. Nothing.

Wolf: Entire store reeked like urine. Cashier stated that plastic bags cost 10 cents each. Several shelves had anti theft glass coverings as well. Avoid this place and go to petsmart instead.

My dog always comes out upset and spends the day laying in his crate because he’s so shaken. I took my dog to Audrey’s BarkYard after and they did so amazing. He came out SO happy and you could tell he was treated so much better.

And when I got to checkout the girl behind the register obviously hated her job, she was so rude for no reason. I work in customer service I get that sometimes you’re just over it but this was ridiculous. She rolled her eyes at me multiple times and wouldn’t keep her eyes out of her phone, said everything with an attitude. Even tho it’s out of my way I’ll be going to the Durham location I’ve never had issues like this anywhere else.

The third party company was as helpful as they could have been by helping us to obtain any order information relevant to the purchase they had on file, which included an order number.The weekend manager would not honor the information provided. He stated that the third party should provide an in store purchase receipt, however, also said that he needed the actual card the purchase was made with, while also saying this wouldn’t be our credit card but the card the shopper used during the time of purchase. How does he expect this to be possible?Needles to say, I’ve made hundreds of purchases with this third party shopping company and this is the only experience that ended like this! It was easy to tell that the manager would have rather not we exist than to be helpful to us!
