Jill Clarkson: This is an excellent staff. The only issue I have is that when I attempted to refill my cat’s flea, tick and heart worm medication they informed me that they require a health exam to refill the medication. My cat is 5 years old and in good health. When I questioned their requirement I was told that they needed a client/patient relationship (which we have because we received her 3 year vaccinations at their facility), I informed them that we did and then they said it was illegal which at that point they just seemed to come up with an excuse as to why they could not sell it. I understand they are there to make money, but requiring a health exam for flea, tick and heart worm prevention seems excessive.

The entire staff is amazing, caring, thoughtful, compassionate, and above all, professional people who love pets! They make you feel welcome the moment you step through the door and they treat your furbabies like they are their own. Dr. Miller is truly one of a kind and I’m so glad she joined the RCAH team. She is incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent, never rushes, and communicates everything clearly and with ease. And she makes it a priority to keep your pet as stress-free as possible throughout the appointment. I am so happy with the level of care this team provides and want to thank you all for taking great care of my girls!

Every single team member showed me and Jojo amazing kindness and provided the highest level of care - I knew they always had her best interest at heart.And if you need a place for your pet to stay while you travel, their boarding team is phenomenal - I would not have trusted anyone else to care for my senior cat as well as they did.Yesterday, I had to say goodbye to my sweet girl after 17 years. The RCAH team displayed unparalleled compassion and kindness through this difficult decision. They brought us into their comfort room, talked about next steps, and gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye. It was all so very peaceful.I cannot thank the RCAH team enough for their kindness, knowledge, and support over the last eight years. Zach Morrison: Wouldn't recommend this place. I had to pay 54$ dollar fee to just set up appointment for my cat. We wanted them to give him a shot and they couldn't even do that. All what they did is do blood work. So I had to pay 200$ and they never even gave him his shot. They even said they couldn't cut his nails cause our cat wouldn't let them. Lol. I've definitely been to better vets than this.

Only thing I have issue with is the prices went up since the last vaccination round, so it went outside the cap of our pet insurance. But with inflation, I get it. It didn’t go out a crazy amount, but the vaccines went up, exam went up, etc. BUT. Still worth it.

Grace Pittman: My dog Josie has gone to RCAH since she was a puppy for both boarding/daycare when necessary and vet care! I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff. They treat Josie like their own, and that is evidenced by how much she loves to visit! They also treated me with such compassion several years ago when my former dog unexpectedly passed- I had our first appointment booked but hadn’t made it in yet when it happened. The staff was incredibly kind to me and even sent a card even though we had yet to spend a dollar with them. Josie and I will be lifelong clients from that alone!
Sabrina Diaz: I absolutely love this place. These people genuinely care for you and your animals. When I had my pet chicken’s they were there and provided the best care possible. They consoled me when I had to put my chicken Elly to sleep after she was attacked, they helped save my chicken Amy,helped our cat Bugsy and will now help with my new adoption Mila. When Elly passed I was an absolute reck and felt like they were the only ones with compassion when she passed. I even received a card from the staff after her passing. It was the absolute sweetest thing ever! I have heard so many horror stories from other places & I will not trust anyone else with my pet other than this location. PLEASE bring your baby here. This is the SAFEST place you can possibly bring them.

Requested estimates were provided immediately. Also no guilt trips or pressure for additional services that are not in my budget currently. I feel they are reasonably priced as well. A very good experience.
Rachel Bond: We had our first visit with Raleigh Community Animal Hospital Friday and had a great experience. Landon became best buds with our long haired chihuahua Buffy and made her feel so safe and comfortable. She has always been a nervous girl but Landon made her feel right at home. Dr. Simon was very thorough and kind, even though Buffy didn't quite warm up to him. Overall we had an excellent experience and look forward to bringing Buffy and our cats to this vet in the future.
Jo Herzfeld: The staff there were very friendly and all cared for my fur baby like it was one of their own ~ I was very impressed with everyone there ~ this was my first time going there with a severely injured dog ~ it was well worth the drive there ~ will be using them as a vet with all of my fur babies ~ can't say enough about this place ~ would highly recommend them to everyone I know and talk to ~ they even followed up several week's after to check on my dog. Very Very impressed with this Animal Hospital. Thank You for taking such good care of my dog!!!!!!!
Crystal Tate: The staff and vets are wonderful. They take great care of my very old Black Lab. They are also compassionate and caring. When I thought that my dog had some serious issues and broke down crying, the MD gave me a hug and reassured me that my goodest boy would be okay. I appreciated that. Lastly, it's the most affordable animal hospital/ boarding facility that I've found in Raleigh.

Rod Rodriguez: Estaba tan decepcionado. Llevé a mi Schnauzer Miniatura de 8 semanas a su primera visita a Bowman. Un pequeño cachorro de 4 libras. Mientras el veterinario hacía el chequeo, le dieron de comer una lata COMPLETA de comida húmeda. Sabía que su estómago de cachorro era demasiado pequeño para todo eso, pero confié en el veterinario. Cristina Graziose: It’s hard having a dog who hates the vet - but the wonderful staff at Bowman Animal hospital makes our dog (almost) enjoy it! The entire clinic is clean and every person who works there is friendly and accommodating to any special needs your dog may have. They offer the option for pre-medicating your dogs to help with anxiety as well! Dr Crossno spent a full hour with my dog on the first visit - and she so patient in earning her trust and performing her yearly exam. We went back for more vaccinations this week and our dog did exceptionally well thanks to the amazing staff - and the pork rinds and peanut butter helped too! Every other vet we’ve been to has made us feel like a burden because of our dogs fear, just trying to get the appointment over quickly and not being thorough because of her reactivity - that is NOT the case here!
Martha Weaver: Bowman Animal Hospital is absolutely wonderful! My pets are transferring here from another local vet. I am so happy to be at this practice, Dr. White and the vet techs were incredibly patient with Cinnamon the “spicy” cat, they did whatever it took to complete a thorough exam. The front desk staff are knowledgeable, welcoming, and very patient. The positive reviews are accurate, we are so glad to be at Bowman!

My little Layla is always happy to see everyone there when she arrives. A good sign because animals know best!

J P: This clinic has been nothing but great since we switched from Hidden Valley a couple years ago. They were very helpful dealing with the last years of life with our elderly cat, and when it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge, in a hurricane, the compassion and care from Dr. Peace and the staff was amazing. Our younger cat, who has severe anxiety on vet trips, recently got a UTI. Dr. Peace was so gentle with her and it was one of the easiest visits we’ve had with her yet. He even showed concern about our grieving process since our old man’s passing and gave us some new food to try out to help with the younger cats weight control. So far, it’s been a success! We definitely recommend CRAH for great care, cost and compassion for your pets!
Heather McManus: I had a great experience at CRAH. I was really apprehensive about what the price would be for all of the things our Lola would need. They told me the prices up front and we worked through what I was comfortable with for that visit. Dr. Jimenez took so much time with us and was very patient to explain everything to me. I felt very good about the care Lola received once we left and it didn't break the bank either. We haven't had the best experiences with veterinarians in the past and we are new patients for life!

Aditya Trivedi: he wouldn’t have made it another day.Boulevard charged us $600, basically did nothing and had we not gotten our dog to another hospital he would’ve died. Boulevard also delayed treatment because they don’t have electronic records to transfer to the emergency vet. They only keep paper records. Samantha Ligouri: My dog was a patient here under Dr. Silva’s care for nearly 6 years. Dr. Silva is fantastic. Once the pandemic happened they stopped allowing pet owners into the clinic with their pets. Two years into the pandemic, and they still were not allowing owners into their pets appointments.Recently my dog ran out of medication and she was three days past due for her annual physical. Obviously, we shouldn’t have missed our dogs annual physical, but life happens and things get missed. Regardless, our dog can’t miss doses of the particular medication she’s on, so we asked to schedule the next available appointment. The next available time was the following week which would’ve resulted in our dog missing doses. So, we asked if the vet would do a one time refill. The vet tech (Jordan) was passive aggressive and condescending to deal with, but she did claim she spoke with the vet and that the vet refused to offer a week long refill. After questioning Jordan about which vet refused to do this (since this did NOT sound like Dr. Silva), we learned it was an entirely new vet named Dr. Washington!They NEVER told us that Lilly’s primary vet left OR that she had seen someone else the last time she was there. If this hadn’t happened, we would’ve never known because two years into the pandemic and they still weren’t allowing owners inside. Last time I checked, vets are healthcare workers too and since their patients can’t talk, the presence of their owners should be essential and necessary. I’m sure not having owners inside in the beginning of the pandemic was a matter of safety, but two years later it’s apparent that it’s now a matter of convenience. I’m not sure how this was even allowed for so long. What a joke.There’s a lot to be said for continuity of care. We will be changing vets ASAP.

Paula Cohen: Debe haber sido una intervención divina cuando encontré al Dr. Goetz en BC-AH. Estaba usando un veterinario en Raleigh pero no estaba muy satisfecho. Estaba buscando un veterinario que tuviera mucho conocimiento pero que también se preocupara realmente por el resultado de mis 3 gatos. Después de mucha investigación y de leer cientos de reseñas, fui a ver al Dr. Goetz. El Dr. Goetz siempre está investigando, cada vez que tomo uno de mis gatos, aprendo cómo cuidarlos mejor. Una de mis gatas requiere mucho tratamiento médico, enfermedad renal, diabetes y presión arterial alta, tiene 16 años. Sé que está en los mejores cuidados. La Dra. Goetz sabe qué hacer, es una veterinaria increíble; no solo eso, tiene un excelente trato al lado de la cama y su personal es atento y comprensivo.

marcelle costa: My 91 year old mother had to bring her 20 year old cat in to be euthanized today. The cat bit my mom before taking her to the vet, as she was in pain and didnt want to be touched. Dr. Goetz immediately called animal Control and animal control Insisted on taking the cat, stating they would have to cut the cats head off to check for rabies. So, my mom cant take the entire cat home to bury it. This was a domestic kitty who never went outside. There was no reasoning with Dr. GOETZ. My mother left the clinic completely traumatized and in tears. I am so disappointed in the way this was handled. My own kitty will be finding a new vet going forward.

Jennifer Warren: We took our 4 month old golden doodle in for his puppy visit last week. All staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Dr Goetz was prompt in regards to our appointment time and she gave tons of wonderful breed specific information for our puppy. Vet nurse, Hunter, was very knowledgeable and patient (with us and puppy☺️). He provided us with a comprehensive notebook full of helpful puppy information to keep us organized. Highly recommend!
Donna Falsetta: Do not bring your pet to this place! I brought my cat in on a emergency visit for hypoglycemia and I was not invited into the exam room. They knew that my pet was no longer in any danger and yet did unnecessary tests; I was given a very expensive bill on those tests that I did not ask nor agree to. Beware of the pet insurance; read the fine print. It will be useless if your pet has a preexisting diagnosis. They will bleed every penny from you!

They treated our cat like royalty, making sure that he didn’t experience too much stress which could cause a blockage. Emily Lundberg: This little boy gave us quite a scare at bedtime this weekend. After the regular ER vet we see told us it was a 4-6 hour wait and that no one would come out to help with lifesaving measures if he took a turn for the worse, we called Oakheart not knowing what to expect.From the initial phone call I was immediately put more at ease. While there was a 3-4 hour wait expected we were assured someone could come help if he was critical. We have found our puppy people. The staff was so kind and helpful. Everyone was genuinely concerned for our baby and were all so accommodating from the start to finish. Dr. Blackburn and the team on 7/10 - you have impressed us so much we'll be back for sure for regular visits and hopefully no more emergency ones!Hammy is feeling much better now after a few days of being babied and getting A LOT of rest.

Ink Knight: I took in my rabbit as an emergency, they told me she would be perfectly fine and that she simply had an upset stomach. They told me there was no need to test her for anything and gave me meds she didnt need. I took her to a REAL vet the next day and she was euthanized the same day due to irreparable damage from liver failure. If these vets had done their job there would have been time to save her.Kind faces and good people, but do not trust them with the lives of those you love.

Our dog swallowed an entire pork rib bone that was accidentally dropped and I was really concerned it could splinter. Everyone was so kind and friendly and you were able to remove the rib bone without surgery! I would definitely be back if needed (but I hope we won't have to!).

Aditya Trivedi: Horrible job. My dog had a bladder stone. Boulevard said they pushed the stone and then released my dog. Later that night he started crying louder than he ever has in his life. We readmitted him at another vet where they were able to take better care and told us if we hadn’t done surgery (at the new hospital) he wouldn’t have made it another day.Boulevard charged us $600, basically did nothing and had we not gotten our dog to another hospital he would’ve died. Boulevard also delayed treatment because they don’t have electronic records to transfer to the emergency vet. They only keep paper records. So my dog had to stay at the new hospital for 3 nights while we waited for boulevard to give us paper records.
G B: Great quality care for Lulu our cat. At closing Thursday evening, I was picking up LuLu from being spayed and the customer before me came running back in with a limp puppy he just had in for a check up. Seems the pooch ate some of the gentleman’s medicine in the car and needed his stomach pumped. As soon as he handed the puppy over, the staff went right to work getting him treated without hesitation!

James Bledsoe: Run away from this vet. We stopped taking our cat & dog here after the vet did not notify us that they would give our dog shots we didn't ask for while at daycare. We were not notified until pickup from daycare that our dog had been given shots.We frequently asked for nail trimmings and they were not done. Communication with the office was a pain as they could not keep track of records or requests. We had a strict vaccine protocol from the breeder and we informed the vet of this and they insisted that we disobey the contract and use their vaccine recommendations. We consistently said no and the vet still gave injections without our consent.
