Trek Bicycle Cary: what do users think?
Tim Poe: Great experience purchasing our new bikes. Very customer friendly and helpful. Not to mention great bikes!
E Sugarman: My experience with this shop have been mostly positive, and I am especially happy with my Fuel EX 8- it is an amazing mountain bike.Unfortunately the best mechanic (IMO) there left (who also happen to be the store manager), and I've had issues with the other mechanics in the past. I'm getting ready to buy another high-end bike but am now looking at other Trek shops because of the previous dissatisfaction with their mechanics, but still may buy it there if things change.
Chris Ford: I had a great experience and learned a good amount about the bike when picking up. Everyone was really friendly.
Susan Marshall: Everyone at the store has been willing to work with us through purchasing several bikes. When we bring them in for minor issues those are dealt with very quickly.
Tyler Zak: Brought my bike in with a popped innertube and damaged rim. They got to work on it immediately, walking me through the process and explaining things about my E-bike I didn't know. Not only did they fix my rim and replace my innertube, but noticed the gearing was off and rubber strip rim tape was missing as well. They're super passionate about what they do and it shows. Their pricing blew me away as well! I couldn't believe the level of service I received with such reasonable pricing. They've got a customer for life.
Carl Ferland: Lea was great, help me pick the right bike for me
MJ Worldwide: Lively bike shop with great service. I was gifted a bike and brought it here for service. They did a diagnostic assessment and let me know my cost up front. I learned that gears are personal preference. Overall great experience. I highly recommend!
Tom Clancy: Very fast and professional service
Randy O'Neal: Friendly, attentive service
Robert Foley: Worth the trip from Fayetteville to get my bike from this shop. The staff knew their stuff and were fun to be around. Clean shop as well and loads of items to choose from.Appreciate the help!Cheers,Rob
D Levine: Great guidance, trusted brand.
Gray Smithdeal: See my public posting on Google reviews.
Darrell Trump: Great selection of bikes and a staff that is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and riders themselves.
Leslie Russ: Great bikes with quality parts and top notch customer service. Courtney at the Cary store went above and beyond when we recently traded in my teen son’s Verve 2 for a new Checkpoint. He had outgrown the Verve 2 and was starting to get into gravel and Courtney not only spent time to understand his needs and recommend the right bike for him but also followed up with an email listing local gravel riding groups and races so he can meet up with others to do what he loves!! She was awesome to work with!
Ieshia Baskett: They got a customer for the time I'm going to thrive in Cary. Until my journey takes me to other lands.
Mark Lerch: I had an issue with a derailleur cable replacement. Riley was very informed and so helpful with the repair. I realize that like many I am more likely to only give a review when I am not pleased with an experience. This is not one of those times. If you have a problem, Riley will do his best to help solve it, I believe.
Holly Sullenger: Trek bicycle is truly customer oriented. Their products are top-shelf, and their staff members are knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to purchase bikes and bike gear, and to learn how to be a smart cyclist!
Robert Caputo: Had my old trek restored by Anthony came out like a new bike rides just as good when I first road it in college trek Cary my local bike shop
Mark Carter: This is the second E-bike I have purchased at this store in the last 2 years and could not be happier with the bike and the service at this store. Jamie did a great job directing us to the bike that was a perfect fit for what we wanted and needed.
Susanna Edwards: Steve and Jamie have been so helpful the two times I’ve come. When I said I was getting a bell for my girlfriend Steve told me about the Pride Ride in June and invited us to join :). Steve helped me understand the helmets and Jamie helped my girlfriend understand the bikes. They were both incredibly patient and helpful, and put my safety and requests above sales. This will be my bike shop for as long as I live in the Triangle!
Carmen Navarro: The best experience ever.

Tapped Out Cycles: what do users think?
A Google User: Over priced and doesn't work on older bikes
Leon Erikson: I was glad to find someone local willing to look at the high idle problem with my Triumph Thunderbird Storm. Jeb fixed it and it's been idling nice and low since. Highly recommended for motorcycle service.Service:Engine repair
Chris Melochick: Hands down the best motorcycle shop in the area. Unbeatable prices and honest service.
Sarah Kincaid: My favorite new place!
Amelia: So professional and wonderful bike selections!
Corey Cradle: Danielle and the crew are the best. Although I've ridden a regular bike since I was four or so, I don't know a lot about serious maintenance (especially on an eBike). Service is great and they are so patient with my silly questions. I couldn't recommend more. Thanks guys!
Paula Bushey: Helpful. Knowledgeable. Great service.
Esther Lumsdon: They are great! They worked on my ELF bicycle and let it stay in the shop overnight. That's a discontinued e-bike that is a rather large trike. Diagnosed the problem with my front disc brakes, and discovered a problem to fix with rear disc brake.
Alexander Oliver: Jeb has worked on my motorcycle multiple times. Always does great work and is a personable guy. Great shop, friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend this shop for your bike needs.
desi oye: Very good service. Knowledgeable staff.
Connor Nesbitt: Top notch motorcycle work. Jeb is very professional and knowledgeable. Customer service is always a 10/10. This is one of the few independent motorcycle shops in the area and it does not disappoint. Been having all my bike work done here for the past 9 years.
Johnny James: Love the new shop. Best mechanics and prices in NC. Jeb is going appointment only now and I'll still be coming here for the best service around.
Remey Martian: The staff is very helpful and knowable and friendly would recommend
Erick Molina: Great place
Fabian Pizzo: Service:Electrical repairPositive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Value
Bryan Henney: Friendly, knowledgeable staff, cool retail space, and quality products at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend them, even if you're just stopping by for a cup of coffee.
Erick Haro: I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to coffee cause my wife makes the best coffee ever. But I came here to check them out and it was really good. Their mocha was amazing.. and I also saw the prices for some of their gear and it's really not bad I'll definitely recommend this place for coffee and motorcycle services 👌
ME H: Super good coffee and super cool shop!!!
andrew harms: Great facility and service. I will be bringing my motorcycle back here for any future needs.
Rob Prewitt: Great place to have your bike serviced. They even have an espresso bar if you just want to drop in for a coffee.
Rick Wilson: Great service at a great price. Friendly staff. I would not take my bike anywhere else .

All Star Bike Shop: what do users think?
Eggs Darts: Went in with a very specific parts request and they got me all squared away quickly and were real nice. Definitely appreciate the great service!
Tammy Cook: Very helpful and nice personnel
22booya: Friendly knowledge people, learn a few tips, excellent service.
Jonathan Lee: Caleb and the crew at this All Star is awesome. They handled my warranty with Specialized and fixed a few things that they found out of the norm. It rides like new. It’s amazing! I couldn’t be happier. Thanks Caleb!
Allison: I see that reviews are mixed here but personally we had a great experience - we needed a brake repair and the guys were friendly and turned the bike around super fast.
Clay Parker: I went in for a repair, the staff was very friendly and instead of trying to just charge me bc they could, they honored repairs as my bike was still within the 1 year warranty which i didn't know about. Chris also came outside to look at my wobbly bike rack. Great customer service.
Gina Vitale Gomperts: Amazing customer service; quick turn around time for repairs. From the moment you walk in the door you can tell a difference from other bike shops around.
Francisco D: They are really helpful
Ramon Levine: Bought my bicycle there. Excellent sales and service.
Jean Fitzpatrick: Stopped in to All Star Bike Shop the other day as I was heading out of Raleigh to travel to Florida with my bike on my car rack. The bike didn't seem secure and I wondered if I had put it on correctly. One of the young men took the time to come out to the parking lot and re-positioned and re-secured my bike for me and wouldn't take any $$ from me. VERY kind and VERY appreciated! True customer service! If I lived in Raleigh THIS would be the shop I would go to! Thank you!
Braulio Garcia: Two stars because it’s a bike shop and i like all LBS. If not it would get 1 for making me wear a mask. I’ll take my money elsewhere.
Gerald Roderick: Great service! 100% going back next week! My new favorite bike shop!
Martin Brossman: Great service. As you can imagine overwhelmed with business so if you need your bike repair you get on a waiting list right now and they contact you when to bring you then. They went over very clearly what it would take to repair my old bike and then I decided to get a new one. I gave them the price range but I was looking for and they set me up with the best bike I’ve ever owned my life. Update: Went back to get a rear rack and love it as well.
Diane Honkanen: These guys are awesome. Everyone super friendly and knowledgeable..if you need a bike please go there to purchase one.
Chris Maher: super friendly and eager to help
Josh Boyer: Could not align a disc brake. Mechanic at All Star fixed it in 2 minutes and gave me helpful tips. Cost to me: a request for repeat business. Will do.
L J: Owner has poor customer service. Not fair on prices or service with bicycles. They refused to service my Ibis Road bicycle because I wasn’t a local customer, on top of that I was planning a big ride through NC.You’re better off going to Dick’s Sporting Goods, their techs will gladly tune your bike without excuses.
John Lilley: I went in with a flat needing a tube and the staff showed me how to change it all myself, gave me a bunch of pointers, and charged me the minimum amount ALL while the shop was busy and they were attending to other customers. Great stuff. Best shop experience
Matt Friedrick: Great work, great guys, great overall experience. I dropped by to ask about having my son's brake line fixed. Even though it was obvious they had a number of other things going on they were able to get to it very promptly and at a price that I think honored their expertise and effort but was also very fair for me. At the end, they eyed the overall job and noticed something unrelated to the project I had asked them to work on, but that needed to be fixed for my son to be safe. They pointed it out, grabbed a few tools and went to work on it. I left feeling like my son will be much safer on his bike. On top of all of this, they were just really good guys and I enjoyed hearing more about their shop's history.
Marty: Great customer service! I will get all my bike needs from this location
Virgil Etabag: Awesome shop. I went there to buy some 30mm crank axle spacers, but One of the staff just give me some spare from the repair shop. Coz i have saved some bucks, i bought some other item instead...

REI Bike Shop: what do users think?
AdventureAttorney: We needed a bike tire fixed, and though it took time because the anniversary sale was busy, it was only $7 for a new tube and tape to fix the tire! Great deal!!!! And we gotta do some anniversary shopping on top of it all!
Gabriel Margraf: Good products and services, although very expensive.
Natalie Espino: Danny was super nice and helpful and looked at my bike that I’m going to use for college. He did a thorough check and I didn’t have to pay anything but he filled my tires and said everything’s good to go. He also gave me helpful advice about the gears and filling the tires.
David Ress: My rear hub went into free spin mode in the middle of a ride. I thought I might have to replace the whole wheel or otherwise have an expensive hub replacement procedure, but I took it up there to REI and am so glad I did. Jim was working and stopped what he was doing to immediately help me. He pulled the cassette off and said "I think we can service this". Within minutes he had freed a stuck tooth from the freehub, slapped it back together and everything worked. When I asked what I owed he said nothing. I practically begged him to let me pay because he had just saved me a lot of money and a lot of frustration if I had gone somewhere else. Way to go Jim and way to go REI.
I Rauf: Awesome customer service.
Xiaoqi Tang: I’m so glad I choose here for my bike. People here are super nice and helpful.
David Crouse: EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE in the bike shop! As a walk in on a busy Fri afternoon they removed and installed a new rear tire on our 1982 road bike paying attention to detail and doing the job in a timely and professional manner for a more than reasonable price!
Jerry Viviano: On a Saturday evening when every other bike shop was closed, I found REI open. I called them to see if they would have the obscure parts I would need to rebuild the front axle on my bike. I spoke to their bike technician, Joe. He said to come on down with the original parts and he would see if he could match them closely enough. I did, and he did find parts close enough to use on the job. These were cones and bearing balls of a particular diameter. He spent probably 20 minutes of his time finding just the right parts for me. And the total charge was only $7. I was quite pleased with the personalized service I was offered, the time he spent on my situation, and the very low price. Also, Joe was very pleasant to speak with.

Bicycle Chain - Cary/Apex: what do users think?
Bob Stafford: Steve was a wealth of knowledge as well as personable!!
Brian Leone: We've come here several times over the years, to buy my son a bike, my wife, and today one for me. These guys are pros and clearly have a love for the sport. They took so much time and attention today and each time I've been in to make sure that we get exactly what we want.I can't recommend this location enough!
Shannon Bolin: Can not say enough about how amazing Andrea was! I called her with a bike trailer issue and she was extremely helpful and had my bike fixed in 10 minutes. Will be using and recommending them in the future!
James Polka: Steve and the team was fantastic. Thanks again.
Anar Gurbanov: Instead of changing brake pads they suggest to me to change entire break system for $375
Christopher Scott: AMAZING SERVICE! They know bikes!!! I trust them with every bike we own!
Darrell Breeden: Found an EBike we wanted, tested it and purchased it. When putting it on the rack to leave, we noticed a huge chunk of paint was chipped off the rear below the seat. I went in to ask about it and apparently they knew it was there because the Specialized dealer had brought it up. So they knew about it, but didn't bother mentioning it and were happy to let me pay full price for the bike. They offered me some credit, and covered it with some lacquer but the unease is still there. I'd be careful. Felt like a used car tactic after leaving
Christina Meckstroth: My go-to and my favorite bike shop! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They remember me each time I go in and have always completed my bike repairs efficiently and appropriately. They don’t try to up-sell me or try to sell me things I don’t need. 10/10, definitely recommend
Jake Gibson: Condescending, rude, unhelpful. These are the only words that come to mind when thinking of the Bicycle Chain.I've had 3 experiences here, and they are all terrible. I charted the first one up to a "fluke" incident, but it is evident after my last two that I am wrong.I called asking about a chain and got short, unfriendly responses. I reluctantly ordered the chain as this is a convenient location for me. I ordered in the morning (11am), and had a family member pick it up for me around 17:00 (5PM). They didn't have the order ready somehow, and didn't even know I had ordered. What's the point of ordering online if it's faster for me to get it myself?I then called the next day asking about service. I only wanted to get the chain put on, no adjustments, no tune-ups, nothing else. Looking at Youtube, putting on a new chain is a quick & easy process. I would have done it myself but I do not have the tools required to do so. I called and asked if I could get my bike back the same day. I stated I would drop it off when they opened, and it wouldn't matter if I picked it up right before they closed. I just wanted to know a time-frame for the bike. The answer I was met with was "I don't know." What a helpful answer! It seemed like they would rather not install the chain I just bought from them, and instead work on tune-ups as that reels in more money. The final experience I had was when I went looking for a helmet. The guy helping me had the personality of a saltine. He showed no emotion, didn't help, and answered every question with a one-word response. They made me feel like an idiot for not being a bicycling helmet expert. My final point is their prices. I am a huge fan of supporting local business over large chains. Having a great local shop is awesome, but their prices are a big rip-off. $140 for a tune-up? Holy shoot. For that price I can buy all of the tools and a stand myself. My family members have had similar experiences over the years. I will not bring my business here, and will recommend people NOT to go here.Save your time and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.
jason whitehurst: Very helpful and patient with sizing a bike for my son. This was the 4th bike we've bought from them and will be where we go to get the next!
PJ Enter-: Solid shop with friendly folks who do good work. It's the best option for cyclists in Holly Springs and Apex as this shop comes through on their promises.
danielle barry-gass: Went in to purchase a bike for my son. He had already picked it out online, so I pretty much knew what I was looking for going in. Happy they had the bike and it was ready to go. Service was ok but not anything special- a lot of one word answers to questions and no pleasantness. I didn't really feel very welcome or that my business appreciated.
Sushant Patil: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Christopher Svec: I bought 2 new bikes and a trunk rack here. Mike and Jonah were very helpful. The bikes were setup well when we picked them up, and Jonah was happy to make a few adjustments to tweak one bike a bit as well. He also helped me figure out how to use the trunk rack.I will happily go back for any other bike needs.
Allen Scott: Needed same day repair, brought it over here, Steve got me in and out at a VERY REASONABLE Price. Will return!
Michele Harris: What a Great Place. Fast, Friendly Service and Reasonably Priced. Rare in this Fast Paced World.
David Ingham: I went here several years ago to look for a bike for my wife's birthday and I was ignored. Not because they were busy - just ignored. I left and bought a bike elsewhere. At the time I wrote this off to a fluke bad experience and did not review. Now, I visited again looking to buy a bike for myself. Once again ignored. They even helped other people that came in after us and never even came to help us out despite saying they would. I don't know what it could be, but somehow they decided we did not deserve any attention. So, we spent our money elsewhere. Never will I visit them again.
Andrew Jabbour: I walked into this place last week hoping to buy 2 beach cruisers for myself and my fiancee. They asked me to wear a mask which I don't carry around since Apex doesn't have a mask mandate, as well as most other places in the state, so I kindly told them I didn't have one and left. They just lost another $1K - $1.5K sale due to this outdated rule that hasn't been required in Apex for a while. Pretty sure this is the only private business in the county requiring this and losing thousands of dollars in the process.
Chris Mayes: They had the bike I wanted, I went in for a short test spin, and came out 20-30 minutes later with my newest bike. It gravels well!! Thanks.
Greg D: I used to buy bikes, parts and service here. Now they have a mask wearing mandate. I’m buying bike gear elsewhere.
Nemura: I just walked in into the store to make a $800 bike for me and $300 bike for my son ++ accessories. The store was empty and only one attendance by himself weaning a mask. He asked me to were the mask and I asked him if he is willing to lost $1500 in business for the mask. The quoted the DCD guidelines like a robot. If the masks are the answers why the states and cities with the highest have the highest cases? In conclusion: I drove 30 min to buy two bikes and I have this medical expert telling to wear mask and quoting DCD to me without knowing I'm a phycian and the masks are unless. I came from a social country not to be treated like that. This is The United States of America not Cuba, I will take my business elsewhere.

Bicycle Chain - Raleigh: what do users think?
David Peveto: Very professional and courteous establishment. Clean and well stocked bike shop. Got me in and out quick. Would highly recommend them
gary tardiff: I didn't have much confidence in sales person , I left and went to different place and the sales was knowledgeable and knew that he didn't have the right bike then I remembered that the bicycle chain had that size bike but the salesperson at the bicycle chain didn't suggest trying a different size, went back got the bike it was $50 more than at the otherplace and on top of that they charged me a $50 fee saying it was delivery when it was on their floor to me it sounds like more like a scam so the price was $127 after the retail price of the bike with hidden a fee I was really upset because I felt like I was being scammed
Alex Mercer: I purchased a gravel bike. When I walked in I had no idea what I truly needed but just wanted something I could ride on trails and also on the roads and mostly, greenways. I found the perfect bike! The team there didn’t hesitate to help me find the right bike in the right price range and teach me some techniques and safety information that was super valuable being new-ish to the area. Mostly though, new to biking. HERE I COME RALEIGH GREENWAYS!
Bobby Blackwolf: Very knowledge staff, help me get just what I was looking for at a great price!
Lisa Neal: We bought my nephew a new bike yesterday. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and put my nephew into a bike that fit him perfectly. He loves the bike and is looking forward to riding it back and forth to school and with his friends. So glad we went to them. It was so worth it to get him into just what he needed. The Bicycle Chain is definitely the way to go if you are looking for a new bicycle.
Jessica Cook: Incredible staff - Paul (mechanic) very knowledgeable and was able to help me pick out and install tires (on the spot!). He removed the toe cages on my pedals free of charge.Chase was so patient helping me pick out gear. He spent so much time talking with me and explained how to easily change a tube, then walked me out and lifted my bike into my car.No pressure to buy and I felt very comfortable despite not having much cycling experience.
Steve DePasquale: Stopped in today after mtb ride to check out the shop. I was in the market for a new helmet, glasses, and bike rack. Nothing sparked my interest. I asked the front desk how much are tune ups as it has been a while, he said a basic is $30, full is $120, and pro is $250. He said I could bring in my bike and they will give it a look and see what it needs. Nice guy in the back looked at my bike, tighten my handle bars, checked my shifter and derailers, and took it for a test ride. He said my “your bike is fine.” Ahh yeah I know. I pointed out (he did not notice) that my dropper post doesn’t fully come up on its own. They removed the seat and said “we don’t know how to fix it, but we can fix if you leave it here.” Hmmmm I’m pretty handy and can turn a wrench. “I’m sorry, I’ll take care of that myself.” I was charged $30 plus tax. Not sure exactly what I paid for. Note to self, only bring your bike into a bike shop when there is actually something wrong.
David Tuchler: We are not actually a direct customer but do wheelchair repairs as part of our mobility business. As wheelchair wheels are very much like bicycle wheels, we turn to Bicycle Chain for repairs that we just don't have expertise in. Our customers are in need of quick repairs since they rely on their wheelchairs. The folks at Bicycle Chain have been terrific in helping us fix wheelchair wheels and get our customers rolling again - - always quickly and at a good value.
Rachel: EDIT - scroll down through the reviews. My experience is one of multiple of this issue happening. This is a pattern that they have yet to fix over multiple years. Protect your time and money and go elsewhere. If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my mountain bike in for a routine tune-up and chain replacement. I had been riding out in western Carolina two days prior and it was working. When dropping the bike off, they tried to upsell me before I could finish explaining all maintenance needed. When I picked up the bike two days later after being charged $199, I found they didn’t even tighten the handle bar grip. I then took the bike out to ride in Crabtree and a quarter of a mile in, the chain dropped twice and skipped gears numerous times. Upon closer inspection, the chain was replaced but was not fitted to the bike. The bike is not in shape to ride. I then called to ask for a refund. They replied that I could bring the bike back in and they could look at it. However, between being constantly upsold during the drop-off/pickup process and their apparent lack of basic bike maintenance, I did not feel comfortable with that. There was no option for even a partial refund despite my bike being in worse shape than I left it. I cannot recommend this bike shop to anyone. They are out to make a quick buck and do not care about bikes or customers.
Matthew Reese: I really enjoyed my experience here. I got the bike of my dreams, some sweet gear and very good service to boot. They extended a sale for me beyond its end date to help me save some serious cash! I do not know if that is standard procedure so don't get your hopes up people HOWEVER I thought they were fantastic and I most certainly will return!
Terrence Ishmeal: Horrible customer service and elitist attitude from employees. No one was courteous or even spoke to my wife and I when we walked in. One rep came over after the fact while the others looked on as if we didn’t belong. Guess we didn’t have the “look” of their regular customer base. I wouldn’t spend a dime there and don’t recommend this place. Look elsewhere in the Triangle for bike needs and a good customer service experience.
Nate: All I can say is I’m extremely satisfied with their service. Knowledgeable, friendly, and inviting. Went out of their way to help me out. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to find their new bike!
Stephen Williams: I went to this bike store without any knowledge of clipless pedals or the shoes to a company them. Employees: Will and Chase guided me to make a solid purchase. Chase even installed my clipless pedals for me free of charge. And somehow managed to sneak in a discount. If you have any questions, need any repairs, or anything whatsoever regarding your bike. I can't recommend this shop enough.
Bryan B: The bearded guy behind the register was a total creep. I don’t know if he was stoned or on the spectrum. Either way the whole situation was awkward. I came in to buy one item and look around. He did help me find the item I was looking for right away, but I still wanted to look around the store some more before I checked out. I guess my wish to wander around the local bike shop was offensive to him. When I finally went to checkout, he sat down in front of the register and stared into space with his hand above the keyboard, typing nothing. Not think anything of it, I waited. Then after more than a couple minutes of this I asked if he was okay. I got nothing, he just sat there with his hands above the keyboard in an awkward daze, not acknowledging my presence. The whole situation was bizarre, so I walked out without buying anything.
Matt Gregory: Great bike shop. Great guys work here. Got lucky and caught the sale but these guys know bikes and are not there to pressure you into spending more than you want to. Great experience.
Rafael Vazquez: Worst experience, they cannot care less about their customers. I bought my mountain bike there and it failed on the first ride because of poor assembly. When I returned to the store they refuse to make a full inspection of the bicycle just reviewing the torque of the nut that came loose riding the bike.If you look for a place that care about their customers and care about the quality of the products they sell, I would recommend to go somewhere else.
Ashleigh: Pretty good experience as a newbie. They adjusted my seat and other things to ensure it was the right fit. Nothing over the top, but typical.
Will Mosier-Peterson: I had an issue after a long ride while in Raleigh on a trip and it was recommended by a fellow rider that I see if they could help. They were backed up but knowing that I was only in town for the week they got me in, replaced my chain, adjusted my brakes, and got me back on the road ready for my next ride.
Dave G: Service
Rafael Brandão: I've bought an expensive specialized bike online and it was delivered to bicycle chain. First time I needed service they basically said they couldn't help me at all before even checking what the problem was. If you are planning to use service post purchase, I recommend looking somewhere else.
Dean Peters: I needed a new bike chain for an 11 speed mountain bike with an SRAM / Shimano drivetrain, and they had it in stock. Moreover, the staff was very friendly and helping me find what I needed very quickly.

Oak City Cycling: what do users think?
Jacopo Montobbio: Probably the best shop in the triangle. Went in for service on 2 bikes, from out of town, and they fixed both bikes in less than 2 hours. They have great inventory and the staff is crazy friendly and professional. Good stuff and good vibes in there! Cheers OCC
Barry Wood: Found a great bike at a great price!
Kevin Webb: Super helpful and well stocked, I feel so lucky to have them as my neighborhood bike shop!
Antonio Febres: Chris was extremely helpful. Great service experience
Albert Kugel: Love this place. I don’t even live in Raleigh but always take my bike here. Very trustworthy and they have the best selection of bikes, bags, and parts. They also have beer on tap! I only wish they were able to be open in the mornings and on Sundays. Hard to get there with their current operating hours.
Hailey C.: If you’re a new to town cyclist, you need to come here. The staff members are so friendly and knowledgeable. I have always been happy with the service for my bike - the team is fast and thorough! The shop hosts fun group rides for different speeds/vibes, and I always feel comfortable with the group. The team will be happy to share information about good routes in the area or talk about your needs for your bike.
Jackie A: Fast and friendly service! Convenient location helps, too. Tim is awesome!
Ramon Levine: We went on a group ride from the shop. They have different activities that are held from there. If you're into cycling it definitely is a place worth checking out.
Nathan Mlot: I've had some awful experiences at a number of bike shops in the area due to snobby snooty bike people who think they are better than you just because they know more about bikes and ride more than you. This is NOT the case at Oak City Cycling though! The employees are all well informed and obviously passionate about cycling, but they are kind and patient no matter the kind of question. They obviously understand what customer service is all about, and even though everyone has bad days, I've never caught them on one of theirs! This is always my first stop if I'm going to shop locally. I appreciate their commitment to the community and the events they put on. They are full of knowledge about bikes and the best spots in the area, so be sure to pick their brain if they aren't busy. Thank you for not being snobby snooty bike people!
Matthew Smith: Probably the best bike shop in this plane of existence. Service is excellent and priced far below expectations. Good selection of gear and bikes, but mainly, these are people who just want you to ride bikes. They don't care if you want to ride occasionally on a weekend around your neighborhood or start training for the Tour de France, they just want to help you enjoy riding. What more can you ask for? Need a quick adjustment and don't have a tool for it? Drop in...they'll let you borrow a stand and a tool and fix it up and be on your way. Need bigger service but can't afford to give the bike up for more than a day because it's your daily commuter? No problem: they'll work with you and make sure you get what you need when and how you need it. This is the only place I go anymore, and I can't believe I wasted two years dealing with other shops before trying Oak City.
Carm Mc (Cam): So, I signed up for a basic Maintenance class with John and Eamon. Let me just say they are my new bike buddies. Super knowledgeable and friendly. They did a great job of teaching us to take care of our chains and how to fix a flat. Super patient with me as I struggled to get my wheel back on and found a problem with my brake that was causing the problem. Quick to help me fix and also noticed my seat needed to be adjusted. They Rock. Oh, did I mention the class was free? Did I mention they were really patient? They let us ask as many questions as we needed.
Antonio Super: Great place for repairs. Friendly service, Went in with a flat, fixed on the spot and out in minutes.
Josip Vukina: Awesome local bike shop. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend
jason jones: I absolutely love itWarranty repair scheduled
Robin Mehera: Oak city cycling is a nice bike shop on person street. They have all types of bike parts and accessories. They also offer some free bike maintenance classes which is awesome. They had some beer on tap which is a cool touch for a bike shop.If you need bike parts or repair work done, go here.
Ryan Short: Great shop. Helpful people. Good stock.
Mark Vincent: Awesome spot for your cycling needs; they have a great selection bikes, clothing parts and accessories plus an incredible team to help guide you to the process. Straight forward pricing on labor and parts, with a stress free quote with quick turnaround. Give them a shout or stop by.
Eric Terlizzi: I had the best experience this week at OCC! I just needed a front derailleur adjustment and thought I'd put them on my route on my way home (via bike). A very nice gentleman named Aimen (sp?) came out from behind the counter and said he could give it a quick look. After about 5 min, he had that thing dialed!! It has never shifted better up front. I enjoyed a cold ginger ale and then I was on my way. I couldn't be happier and I will most definitely be back, especially since I can incorporate it into my ride home! Nice work, OCC!
Yama Ahmadi: Not consistent, denied service and didn’t want to fix a bike
Frank Snyder: The best shop in and out of Raleigh. Whether your interest is road, gravel, Greenway or MTB, these guys have you covered. Smooth and efficient and always willing to give advice on the simple and the complete solutions. Great shop run by great people!
Christopher Ryan: I needed a new driver installed in my mtb wheel that required a special tool. The shop did not have the tool on hand, but they ordered it just for my job. They really seem concerned about helping out their customers and providing great service. Bonus points for super friendly staff and great prices. If you need a DT Swiss "ratchet upgrade" installed, Oak City has you covered.

All-Star Bike Shops: what do users think?
Ben Keller: Jakub and Patrick were fantastic to work with while converting my MTB wheels to a tubeless setup. I very much appreciated the great communication and recommendations. Quick turnaround time too. They definitely earned a long term customer.
Jack Cottrill: Best bike shop in town. Got my bike in working order and helped me out with my son’s bike as well.
isaac miller: Aways cool, always willing to help. I'll be back
gary tardiff: Mike was awesome! Didn't have the bike on the floor but he did some research and got me a bike that was actually cheaper than the one he showed me which was the same model went out of his way to accommodate me , he was very knowledgeable . Ask for Mike Don't know his last name though
Brandon Drolet: Great experience, good deals, friendly staff, Connie helped me in finding a great bike for a great price.
Kirsten Wyatt McCann: I recently visited to pick up my husband’s bike after he had some work done on it. I picked it up because I was close by for a dentist appt but didn’t have my bike rack. The staff member who helped me was very friendly and offered to help get the bike into my car. He took off the front wheel and seat and gently fit it into my Camry. All of the staff members were very friendly, each greeting me when walking by. The new location is also very nice. It was a really great experience.
Pepe Rencurrell: This is where I bought my Sun Atlas Cargo Tricycle. They bend backwards to help their customers. They have a huge inventory of good quality bikes and accessories. Shop here, you will not regret it!!!
Chaney Rose: I wish I could give a better review to support a local shop, but have only had unhelpful experiences… Every time I call I am given information, then show up to the shop and am given the opposite/conflicting information. Felt like the staff assumed I knew nothing because I am a woman. Truly confusing & frustrating.
J Lawrence: Unhelpful, unfriendly, and not particularly business savvy. They seemed incredulous that I would ask about a tune up and informed me that none are available for an indefinite period of time. Perhaps it would be prudent to hire another staff member or charge a higher price for expedited service. I would have gladly considered that option. Pretty basic ideas.
Timothy McKenna: Mike, Brian, and Andrea are fantastic!
David Weiss: Decent shop, but pricey, not proactively helpful. Had to fix several (fairly basic- an axle) things myself that they claimed they couldn’t solve.
Ben Mayes: Get your store hours straight
Joshua Mcdowell: Staff is rude, condescending, and elitist. This place was great once upon a time, will spend my money elsewhere.
Tacey Hesmer: They know their stuff. Convenient locally. Outrageously expensive.
Theo H.: Even though I didnt end up using this shop for a repair they still filled my tire up and didnt charge me for it so they deserve an A+ in my book.
Andrew Jeffries: Dumb mgmt - they don’t have service staff on Sunday. Website doesn’t say that. Wasted my time driving here.
Terry Mark: Needed the back tire changed out and they were on top of it immediately. Only waited 20 minutes and very reasonable price. They also fixed the seat that had worked itself into a strange position. Thank you very much. We will come back again.
Courtney Fleming: Staff is unbelievably rude!
Michael Allen: Management has been sold out to big conglomerate, so anywhere is better than this place. Unhelpful!!
Nicholas Polinak: They act like they do not want your business here... go elsewhere.
James Prudhomme: The staff was rude.
