Oliver's Shoe Repair: what do users think?
Ruthann Gray: Twice now I’ve taken items and both times they said they couldn’t do these simple repairs. What do they do?! Waste of time. Will never go again.
ROB B: First time trying them out on a heel I had fixed they did a pretty good job and not to expensive either
Melissa Acevedo: Quick and efficient service.
Glenn Tyra: Just the nicest people. The cobbler is knowledgeable and presented my wife with options on the repair.
Catie: Refused to even help me, waste of time
S E: The shoe owner is great at repairing shoes! Definitely recommend him!
P Taylor (Pat): Couldn't repair my Cole Hans, but good service nonetheless.
Eric: I’ve had new soles put on here, and some other repair work done. Each time they’ve charged a fair price, done great work, and given an honest evaluation of all repair options.
Pooja Makam: Literally the sweetest owner ever! Brought in my Frye boots because the heel pad had come off during my lunch break. He asked me if I had ten minutes and within THREE minutes he fixed it and even put reinforcing nails in my other shoe to prevent that one from having issues in the future too! Best shoe repair in town and highly recommend!! Glad I came in today!
Sharon Lee: I took my sandals in to get additional holes on straps. When I got home one of the holes was not large enough to accept the closer. When I returned to have the hole made larger the woman got very angry and started counting the holes and said each sandal had the same amount. I said I know, but the hole needs to be larger. She started yelling at me and I just stood there. When she quit I told her again and she finally understood. She still was not happy and made the hole larger. I grabbed the sandal and said thank you and left. As I was leaving she said I don’t speak good English. She was very angry and I was just glad to get out of there. And the hole is crooked! Bad service all the way around.
luis Villar: A TOTAL WASTE OF ANYONE’s TIME TO COME TO THIS STORE. This place has declined since I came to them for work two years ago. The woman behind the counter is NOT TALENTED and NOT AMENABLE TO ANYTHING a CUSTOMER WANTS.And won’t even sell me the actual materials as I figured I could fix the shoe problem myself. This was my second time to visit this store. With two different shoe issues. This place needs to just close down. Not good for the community and the folks who need work done on their footwear. There are other more reputable and more talented set of cobblers in the area where one can get things done. Lesson learned.
Michael Hayes: Good work, good people, good prices.
Rebecca Buckwald: The owner was wonderful and did a fantastic job with giving life back to my favorite very run down boots! She went out of her way to accommodate my “rush” request with a smile. .
Daniel Lee: Nice people and good work
Brian Mountain: Took a Name brand purse to have it cleaned. It was very small item. They charged $16 and it looked better before.
Virginia Leavister: Not only did I leave a pair of shoes there for 1 week to be repaired I had to prepay and then upon picking them up I realized he had painted the wooden heel totally black without my consent. He also used the wrong glue; therefore, after 1 day of my husband walking in them they fell apart. Then to make this whole situation even worse I went back with my husband's messed up shoes and he wanted to try and super glue it and keep my money. I told him noway he was touching my shoes again and then he proceeded to argue and curse at me for 30 straight minutes refusing to give my money back and then tried to pull the pieces back off the shoes as he kept repeating those are my supplies. He also told me to sho away like I was a fly! I paid $55 and this is what I got????? Stay far away if you know what is good for you. To add to my last post not only did we have the above issues he also took it upon himself to color the heel of the shoe which the color came off on my husband's light colored dress pants.

Quail Corner Shoe Repair Shop: what do users think?
Malana Reeves: I have used this store before for luggage repair and they did an acceptable job. I tried again to get some wheels replaced and they were unable to do this. Seems odd that they list themselves as a luggage repair shop but can't replace wheels 🤔
Jae Kim: Experts on the detail and fast
Cynthia Richwine: I dropped off my daughter's Uggs that had some water discoloration and they said YES they could fix them they made me prepayWhen I came to pick the shoes up the shoes were the same and it's a little bit worse they did not want to give me back my money but they told me to never come back to their store very rude unprofessional misleading a customer if you can't fix something you simply say I can't fix or I might not be able to fix you don't have a customer prepay And then offer me $5 No I got back my $20 I will not go back there no more I've learned more I think the company is misleading and false advertising MAYBE THEY SHOULD RETIRE....
annie cooper: professional and friendly staffExcellent work
Dan Dye: I needed half soles and new heels on my favorite Lucchese boots and had them done here. The people were nice & friendly & I was pleased with the job that they did. The boots look perfect!
Sonja Hodgson: I came to them with a handbag with a broken strap. They repaired it well and had it ready in one week. I am happy with the service I received.
George Mathis: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessHad a hole added to an otherwise nice belt. It was punched too fast and without measuring and that nice belt is essentially ruined. I do not recommend.
Nora Fina: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI've been their regular customers for years now. They always know immediately what needs to be fixed on my shoes and purses. The end results are professionally done. Just a heads up, they accept payments in advance (both cash and credit cards).
Betsy Carroll: As a conveniently located family-owned and operated business, I chose Quail Corner Shoe Repair to have my leather Frye shoes polished. However, when I arrived to pick up my pre-paid shoes, I was disappointed to see the white rubber sides of the sole around the bottom of the shoe had been stained with polish. When I questioned the owners they denied the obvious. I left disgusted because they did not take responsibility for their poor workmanship.I do not recommend this business because they are dishonest and lack credibility.
Charles Galloway: Nice place to get your shoes repaired are a hole punched in your leather belt
Sergio Vargas: Buen lugar
J. Scott Lane: I've taken my Allen Edmonds shoes to them for a decade, and they have extended the life of them several times over. Always polite and knowledgeable, they never try to up-sell any service.
Karen Trax: Very disappointed. I took in a pair of neutral colored shoes to have the soles replaced; they had a crack across the bottom. Otherwise they were in excellent condition. They require full payment upon drop off. When I returned to pick them up 2 weeks later as requested, I was informed they only had black soles and not a similar color of the original . A quick phone call to let me know, would have saved me a trip. Against my better judgement, I decided to go ahead with it.I was told to come back in another 1.5 weeks. The shoes were far more scuffed than before. In addition, the glue used to adhere the sole was not a smooth seam. In some places it overflowed onto the fabric or bubbled. I assume it was not properly clamped or excess glue was not wiped away. They look horrible, much worse than when I dropped them off. I did complain, however, the language barrier is problematic. He simply said there was damage and walked away. Therefore , my recommendation would be if you need shoes repaired, choose a different establishment .
T M: They do great work and brought my leather loafers back to life. I thought I had totaled my shoes after catching one of the tips on the pavement but they were able to make it look like nothing ever happened. Yes they do make you pay up front, but they will warn you about what they can’t repair. The nice lady at the front explicitly told me that they wouldn’t be able to remove the water stains and I appreciated the honesty. Worth giving them try.10/10
Annette Glass: They do awesome work. Everything I asked them to do, they did it excellent.
Jeshurun Bellissimo: To get a good deal you just need to haggle with them a little, I got two pair of shoes fixed for less than what they wanted to charge me at another shoe repair place to fix one pair and was very happy with the work that was done.
Heather Wendeln: They are unpleasant to deal with, very rude and condescending.
Waynette Kimball: Absolutely worse experience. I do not like paying for these services ahead of time because I like to see the work and results before I pay. They told me well, no! I was just thinking ok, you would rather me take my business to someone else than to know that I am willing to pay as long as its after seeing my shoes fixed. To be sure they would get paid because they wont give them to me until I pay. And keep in mind, they had let me do it that way before even when they said they wouldn't. Welp, on to a business that really wants to satisfy its customers.
Theresa White: charged me $15.00 just to shorten the strap on my purse. I checked around and this was twice what other shops charge!
Bennett Barry: They don't speak the best english, but the price was fair and they did an excellent job on some dress shoes I brought them. The shoes are much better now than when I bought them! I will definitely be taking more shoes there.

Humming Shoe & Watch Services: what do users think?
Kenya Stephens: I took in a luggage to have an internal tear mended. I showed the gentleman the issue and asked if it could be fixed to which he stated yes. Upon my return, a week later, I checked the issue to see if it had been fixed and the tear had simple been glued together and their was still a hole in the luggage to which he simple took the luggage back and did a pitiful 2 sec sewing that didn't look that good. A two year old could have done a better job. It was a waste of time and money and I will NEVER use this service again.
Ley Reeke: Very professional, friendly, and reliable. Highly recommend them for watch repair!
Shannon: Had 2 watches with dead batteries. The owner changed them both in 5 minutes for a good price. Great service.
Dave Thompson: This shop does everything! Repairs watches, zips, handbags, suitcases etc etc
Jessi Van: Young has fixed many things for my family over the years. Very skilled and inexpensive! We will keep coming back!
Kat Weaver: Had a pair of dress boots rehealed and polished. I needed them done in 24 hours and the owner happily obliged. The boots look brand new now!! The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend their service!!
Ryan: Hopefully his shoe repairs are better than his watch cleaning.
Jeff Thomas: Prompt and efficient service at a great price
Peter Rivera: Closed for long weekend. Reopening July 7, 2022.
Vivian DeMarco: Wonderful service and work
Alric James Jr Jr: Cobbler was able to provide me some great advice in regards to shoe stretching.
Mark Nelson: Positive:ValueMy mom needed a new battery for her watch, so we gave Humming a try. Couldn't be happier, her battery was replaced on the spot for the low price of just $11. Got exactly what we needed, no delay at all, and for less than we expected to pay. Good deal!
Edward Pack: I take my Allen Edmonds here for heel pad replacements and one for repairing a nasty scratch that needed dying. He did such an artful job on all my repairs. The heel pads were all replaced, ground to match the heel blocks and buffed to match perfectly. The scratch repair displayed his mastery of the craft. One cannot even see the scratch because his dye matched so very precisely. He is an excellent cobbler! I highly recommend!
Donna: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThis is the greatest little secret ! Excellent watch, shoe and all kinds of leather goods repair. I’ve taken all numerous items to Mr Humming and never been disappointed!
Angela Cummings: Critical:ResponsivenessDrove all the way over to drop off a pair of boots to have repaired only to be greeted with a sign on the door that they were closed today despite it being regular business hours. Wanted to try someone new but guess I’ll have to go to someone else.
Stephanie Caccamo: I have used the shoe repair service and they did excellent work. The owner also got a watch that I inherited from my grandmother working again. He showed me that it's the kind of watch that has to be wound daily (doesn't have a battery). He showed me how to wind it and now it works perfectly (and he didn't even charge me despite my insistence). Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Millicent Stevens: Great quality workmanship. Fair prices
Jeane Gross: I have used the shoe repair service several times. The owner does really good work! Very pleased to recommend!
Brandan Wilson: Great experience. Very kind and helpful! Fixed my leather jacket with some stitching in a matter of minutes. Polished my boots and helped me find cleaner for my rattlesnake skin boots. Thank you my friend!!
J.O.: Their hours of operation need to be updated. Arrived at 5:20pm and they were closed. Other reviews also mention inconsistencies in their hours.
Latifa Ali: I have a thing about services being provided with out prices posted. I was on my way out of town and needed a quick repair. He used a screw to fix my shoe in less than 10 min and charged me $15. I was expecting to pay $7 at the most but again no price posted.

Ashton Shoe Repair: what do users think?
Jared: Went here to get one pair of work boots resoled and the other replace the heals. Now I able to get many more miles out of my boots for half the price to replace them! Staff is always nice, friendly and knowledgeable.
London Simone: Without a doubt, Ashton Shoe Repair is the most exceptional shop for shoe repair that I've visited. The staff is friendly and possesses remarkable customer service skills. Although I have never received a shoe repair service, my mother has always preferred this shop for her shoe repairs. I had the pleasure of meeting the shoe repairer and his family today, and they were all incredibly pleasant. Therefore, I highly recommend Ashton Shoe Repair to everyone because you won't be let down.
Robert Horton: Excellent service and quality of work. Now my 21 yr old wants to take his sneakers there for freshening.
Dainty Chick: Pleasantly surprised...nice gentleman was able to repair my shoe taps same day. Great job!
Cynthia Thompson: Great service; and the quality of work was wonderful.
Kim Harris: I forgot my shoes and had an early morning flight. I was able to reach the owners after hours they were a tremendous help and did an amazing job repairing my shoes!!! Thank you so much.
Edgardo Artavia: Excelente atención, super recomendado
Beverly S. Dixon: They did an excellent job of cutting down the heels of my shoes, and they provided wonderful customer service! They actually called me to let me know there was a delay in getting my shoes ready, and they are always so friendly!
Wayne Bostick: The owner is friendly and knowledgeable about shoe repair.
Lila Rieber: Never got back to me after I filled out the online form requesting a repair
Jonathan Castillo: El lugar es Exelente
FLL: Ashton Shoe Repair (George) is a master craftsman. He brought a pair of 2012 grey Jordan's back to life after sitting in the closet and staining for years. If you're in need of shoe repair go to Ashton's.
Shelley-Ann C.: I always have a good experience at this shop. The shoemaker are also pleasant.
Patrick Ross: Great work, honest staff, nice people and fair prices. This is a truly great store.
Karina: Nice Guy n good work👌🏼😉
Victoria Kelly-Garcia: I will be a repeat customer after my first visit! My favorite hiking shoes were discontinued and the tread was wearing thin. George replaced the tread and I couldn't be happier. Great work and great customer service.
Hannah Reed: George did a great job and is super nice! And has good prices! I brought in Marc Fisher espadrille wedges and the straps broke on both of them because they’re just a little tight.. I guess the shoe makers thought everyone has skinny feet.. at first George seemed stumped and thought it would be a shoe he couldn’t fix but then he figured it out and fixed it!! He explained it well and wanted to make sure I was happy. I’ll definitely return!
Devin Payton: They do an a awesome job George takes his time and is super personable. I cannot recommend them enough prices are super fair too. So far he has saved the stitching on my Rick Owens Drk shadows which I ripped and repainted the back of one of my Jordan one shadows. The shadows are a hard color to match with fading and he matched the paint like factory! Super impressed. I won’t go anywhere else the guy knows footwear.
Bear Plowman: Three years ago the service was great, on time, and above and beyond. This time not so much. Dropped my boots off for two weeks for heel repair and rip repair. On arrival, they were not finished. Had to wait for the work to be done same day like another reviewer mentioned. And then I had to request the finish work to be done. Ain’t my first rodeo but I wasn’t gonna argue with the man behind the counter. I’ve had several boots done at different places and cannot recommend Ashton Shoe Repair for western boot repair.
Tamara Williams: Repaired my heel same day! Great service!
todd thorp: I got a couple of older shoes polished and they looked like new when I picked them up. Very satisfied.

John Williams: Very, very good service. Friendly and professional.
Nicole M. de Martinez: I brought in a dress to be shortened and the seamstress showed me that flow of the dress really looked best at the length it was. Shortening it would have changed the personality of the dress entirely. I truly appreciated her expert eye and the willingness to lose a bit of money to ensure I didn’t destroy an expensive dress.
Veronica De La Rosa - Clark: Best cleaners, shoe care, and tailoring in the area. You can absolutely trust them with your wardrobe. They custom fit clothes to perfection.

I brought the suit in a week before the photo shoot and picked it up the day before the shoot. However, the suit is damaged due to their Negligence. The owners to this establishment to whom I trust would do the right thing were not willing to help me resolve the issue. So now I will need to compensate my clients for their inconvenience. I have been a customer with this cleaners for years. I am just appalled how they handled the situation at hand. I was calm and polite the whole time. I am very disappointed how it turn out. I will no longer do any business with them and I will not recommend anyone to them.
Art: I needed a pair of shoes repaired. Sign says they offer this service. Asked the gentleman if the shoes I brought were worth repairing. Hakky Tailor & Shoe Repair: what do users think?
Kristi Goddard: This was my first time ever using this company to repair my shoes and so far, I am thoroughly impressed! They came highly recommended by a friend. Considering the fact that I have lived in my area for 23 plus years now, it was shocking to find out from the gentleman in the store that they have been there for 22! Needless to say they have staying power and are obviously doing something right! I look forward to the results of my shoes as my friend always Raves about the wonderful work they do! At first it sounded as though they will be expensive, but in the end the price was very fair and competitive! I think I'm getting a really good deal considering the work I'm having done! Two pairs of Italian leather made boots with heels repaired on both! $35 doesn't seem too bad to me!FYI: I did have a pair of cowboy boots that I wanted to have repaired, but to have the souls completely redone on those would have cost me $55 per shoe which was actually more than I paid for the pair of boots! Needless to say, I think I just need to break down and buy a new pair of cowbody boots!🤭 Oh yeH, you do pay up front, so be prepared for that!
Taylor Shropshire: Hakky Shoe repair was very friendly and good at communicating via text to keep me updated on the repair of my shoes.
Cherlki Kim: Great work repairingone for my wife´s heel and one for my dressshoe sole and heels are perfect. price is also good enought thank you
Tim Riordan: Old guy was pretty good. New young guy is not. Paid $90 upfront for new half soles and heals on mens dress shoes. When I picked them up they had glue all over them and one sole was half an inch wider than the other. He did scrap the excess glue off but could not change the uneven soles. I had to throw my shoes away. They looked awful with one wider than the other.
Al Holt: Good and quick work that is reasonably priced
Curly Amazon: This was my first and last time taking shoes here for repair. Very poor workmanship and terrible customer service. I brought in a pair of pumps to have the taps on the heels replaced. Really, only one tap needed replacing, but the repairman said that if he replaced one he had to replace the other. I also asked him to dye the tips of the shoes because the color had worn off. He said that would cost an extra $5 because he would have to blend the dye in with the upper part of the shoes -- I had no problem with that. However, I did find it odd that he would not shine the back of the shoes without charging an additional $5. It's been my experience at other shoe repair places that shining the shoes is part of the repair service. When I returned to pick up the shoes a few days later, I examined them carefully. The dye job was fine, but I noticed the taps he replaced were not completely flush with the bottoms of the heels. You could see large gaps between the taps and the heels. When I asked the repairman about this, he said he could not push the taps all the way in because the bottoms of the heels were slightly worn down. While it's true that the bottoms of the heels are slightly worn, I have taken those same heels to other shoe repair places to have the taps replaced, and they had no problem pushing the taps all the way in without leaving gaps. Moreover, when I brought the shoes in to Hakky for repair, there were no gaps between the taps and the heels. The Hakky repairman insisted he couldn't do it. Due to an obvious language barrier, he started to draw useless pictures in an attempt to show me why he couldn't replace the taps properly. Then he showed me other customers' shoes he repaired for comparison - the problem is that one of the pairs of heels he showed me had damage to the bottom of the heel that was worse than mine, and he was able to replace the taps on the heels without leaving gaps. When I pointed that out to him, he became defensive and denied that there was any difference between the work he did on the other pair of heels compared to mine. I told him the shoddy work on my shoes was not standard practice as other shoe repair places have had no problem replacing the taps on the same heels he claimed to be so problematic. He told me I should have taken my shoes elsewhere and then he said it was my fault for not telling him about the heels. I told him that I wasn't aware of a problem with the heels that was worth bringing to his attention since others in his same industry have repaired those shoes without issue. Moreover, I reminded him that he fully examined the heels when I brought them in for repair, and if he noticed a problem that would prevent him from fixing the shoes properly, it was his responsibility to notify me. He continued to say it was my fault. He was also talking loudly and talking over me. I was completely appalled by his childish behavior, and it confirms why this place has so many negative reviews. Because I was required to pay for the repair at the time I dropped off the shoes (another huge red flag), I had no choice but to take the shoes and leave. I will never take another pair of shoes here for repair, and I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Samantha A.: Great work repairing a bleach stain on my husband's leather shoes!
dave renn: I brought in a baseball cap that the dog got hold of and needed it for a game that was in less than 2 hours... It was a simple repair and they had it expertly done while I waited. Great customer service for me.
Silvia Q: I brought a very expensive pair of boots to be replaced the heels. They did an amazing job. Now, i have a brand new boots. Very affordable and outstanding customer service.
Denita W: Great service. Nice staff!
Arrvid Carlson: Full service cobbler, also tailoring and key copies but only used the cobbler service. Restored a shoe for my wife and daughter and both were dancing afterwards. Expect several days for turnaround.
Christian Jones: Ok. Wasn't able to fix my shoes, but was honest that he couldn't do it.
Amy Stevens: Been going to them for years they do great work
Jess Rosko: Took leather boots in to get cleaned. He charged me upfront and only cleaned the outside. Bottom and inside went untouched. Make sure you specify if that’s what you want.
Dwaine Tillery: Great work......I had an idea and he made it into reality!
Laura Patterson: I went to Hakky's with a complicated case since Hakky's is a shoe repair and tailor. I brought a handmade, custom backpack made of certified Harris Tweed with leather straps to Hakky's. The straps needed to be removed and reattached in a different position to be worn comfortably. Hakky's staff did an incredible job! I can barely tell where they had to disassemble and reassemble the bag. My expectations are far exceeded! I will now be a repeat customer. Highly recommended!
Derrick Smith: Got my shoes "streched" supposed to be half a size bigger. Got my shoes back and they are the exact same! Charged me for nothing
Karen Barlow: The service is great here. They explain what needs to be done to your shoes. They tell you the price up front. The work is done on time and with exceptional workmanship. Have had them repair a purse and a backpack too.
Meredith Gummerson: I have taken in everything from pants to be hemmed to an expensive designer coat and dress to have the sides brought in, swimsuits that basically had to be reconfigured, and tops and dresses that needed padding to be put into them. Every single time, they have done a fabulous job and my pieces have been ready on time. Would certainly recommend and will continue to be a loyal customer here!
Catherine: Didn't fix. When pointed out, refused to admit. Awful customer service.
Cassidy Gerald: Quick quality service, sweet people!
