The only one of its kind in Wake County, our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides expert treatment for life-threatening childhood diseases, respiratory and heart problems, injuries and critical illnesses.

Our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides the highest level of care available to premature and critically ill infants.

We provide routine well care, sick visits, and follow up for chronic conditions. We are committed to delivering excellent and equitable care for all children in our region regardless of ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic background, or ability to pay. We welcome all children, including those who have complex medical needs, and would love to have your family join us. Continuity clinic offers a unique educational model for resident physicians to see patients independently in a supportive environment under the guidance of a pediatric attending preceptor. Residents are responsible for all aspects of patient care which fosters independent learning and teaches resident physicians the importance of taking ownership of acute care and well-child care of their patients, while having the support and guidance of a faculty preceptor. This environment fosters independent learning while creating unique educational opportunities with each patient encounter that resident physicians discuss with their faculty preceptor. This precepting model allows for ongoing resident growth and independence in pediatric primary care over the course of their three years of residency while allowing for unique in the moment education on all facets of pediatric primary care.
