Vernita Davis: Terrible experience with a stylist Latisha. I paid a lot of money to come up with a hairdo for my photo shoot. She did it the first two times perfect.The day of the of the photo shoot she could not do the exact same style with the extensions because her nails was too long. She still pressured me to get the same style without the extensions for the same price but that style didnt last a hour. This store and manger Joni have terrible customer service. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON BECAUSE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF WITH A SMILE.

Paula Bogar Sylvestre: I booked a time slot to gloss my hair in the Cary store at Crossroads Plaza. I arrived 10 minutes before and I checked in. My appointment was at 3PM. 3h12 PM the hair stylist came to me and said she had a problem. She was late with another customer and she didn’t know what to do.She could not commit to a time and would like to reschedule. I will travel next weekend and need to have this done. Also, my husband is taking care of my daughter and I can’t comeback during the week. On top of that, is a beautiful sunny day and I am wasting my time here. Now is 3h41 and I am still waiting. Probably the work will not be good as they need to close the store soon. Why to schedule someone close to the other customer?If you don’t want to be angry and irritated DONT COME here.This never happened to me in my whole life.First time here and I regret it.

Crystal Williams: I would not recommend getting a silk press here EVER! Bc your hair will be DAMAGED. This is the first and last time I will go to ULTA hair salon. The only reason I went bc of hearing good things. I went here on February 17th for a silk press and a trim (split ends). To keep my style, I wrapped my hair every night and oiled my scalp. (I DID NOT USE ANY ADDITIONAL HEAT AFTER LEAVING THE SALON). This past week, I shampooed and deep-conditioned my hair. A lot of my hair did not revert back to its natural state. Being an African American when my hair is straight and gets wet it will go back to a kinky-coily afro. (This was not the case) I reached out to Ulta yesterday to let the manager know and along with the stylist my hair is damaged. The stylist told the manager that my hair would revert back. (Manager was not familiar with my textured hair) Bc the stylist was with a client, the manager asked for my name and phone number for a follow-up call. (They did not call me back). At this point, I don't care if they call me or not. All they are going to say is it will revert back and maybe my hair texture shouldn't be straightened BS. I had my hair straightened 2 years ago and had no damage at all! My hair has been fried and it also has a burnt smell to it. I will have to start my natural hair journey all over again. As women, we should be able to go to a salon and not fear that our hair will be damaged in the process.
amy slike: So I took my teen in 3/28/23 to the Cary crossroads location to purchase some Elf items and let me just say the three star review was due to being treated less than a human. I was NEVER not once asked did we need help finding what we were looking for even though there were SEVERAL clerks just standing or walking around seeming to find “things” to make them to busy too help it was rather disheartening that I guess we didn’t appear to be of an ultra status. If I could give star review for an individual that obviously saw I needed help I would most definitely give 10 stars to Alexis she assisted my teen in locating what we walked the store 15 mins looking for. I will definitely only be shopping if I see Alexis working as she went above and beyond and the manager Allison VERY unfriendly
Jill Philpott: My 6 year old daughter and I went for formal updos for a wedding. I had Samar and my daughter had Ginger. Both stylists were amazing. The hair styles were beautiful and lasted all night. Would highly recommend either of them! Thanks so much for great hairdos. They were incredible!
Melanie Walker: Visited the Ulta Salon and had my haircut by Stephanie. It was my first time at this location, but certainly won’t be my last. Not only did she make me feel comfortable throughout the whole process, she did an excellent job and was a delight! If you are debating on getting your hair done here I highly recommend booking with Stephanie.

In the 30 minutes my mother and I were in the store, there were maybe 5 total words spoken to us. There were a lot of empty spots on shelves, plenty of employees just standing in groups having a chat. When we tried asking for help, which we shouldn't have had to as we clearly couldn't find what we were looking for but of course no one could be bothered to help, We had to walk clear across the entire store to one of the chatty groups that were too busy to notice that we and others were in need of basic assistance. Then the "salesperson" that offered to help just stood there until we left her presence. She casually finished what she had to say to the other "salespeople" and then proceeded to look at us and say, "Now, what did you want?" When we told her what we wanted, she proceeded to give us a product we didn't ask for. I pointed to the spot she got the product from and said, " I want the one next to it. Not the E.D.P. I want the E.D.T. (cologne)" She insisted that she was giving me the right one, which I could easily see that it wasn't correct due to the size difference; also have had an issue with this same salesperson insisting that she's given me the right product only to get home and find out it is not. After she spent some time looking in the back she came out to tell us they don't have it but I can get it online. If that's the attitude you want to have about it, then I can get all of this online. Nevertheless, standing at the checkout and the line moved, which was not obvious to us as we were browsing, a customer tells us that we're next in line. I look up to see a good 10 feet of free space between us and the cashier. She never said a word to us. No "I can take whose next in line" or "Sir? I can help you over here." Just blank face staring at us. She never offered for mom to use her points until my mom asked about it, which then we had to cancel the transaction and start over. Attitude added to that as well. Everything said to us in the store, which wasn't much, was said with a bitter tone. Everyone in there seemed like they had better things to do anywhere else. Didn't enjoy hearing young ladies talk down to my mom like that either. Just wanted to let you all know. Hope things work out for ya.

George Howard: I was given cheaper clippers at 2058 kildarefarm road Cary nc.I was charged more money for the clippers I wanted. .i was given cheaper clippers.I went in the next day to exchange clippers just to have an older employee with white hair call me a lier and tell me I did not purchase the clippers.....I had a reciet. The staff is unprofessional uneducated with no customer service skills. I had to raise my voice getting my blood pressure really high. FIRE HER!

As it’s happened numerous times before. I am done and will report to headquarters as I have done in the past . Woman sat on her cell, personal call, and told me to wait when I asked for assistance. And she proceeded to chat away. I left and will never go back.
Falan E: 7:45 pm June 17, 2022. I came in here for a last-minute leave-in conditioner. I will have to say this was a bad choice on my part.I was the only customer in the store. This gave the employee enough time to acknowledge me.I don't know if this was Black-on-Black Racism or what. I walked in almost every aisle. Seen by the customer service person. Seen on more than one occasion looking for products. Not once was there a greeting or an offer for assistance.As soon as someone else (non-black) entered the door acknowledgment was given. This is the sad reality of my experience here.I walked out empty-handed. I refuse to spend my money at establishments that can't even be courteous and acknowledge customers who would like to spend money.

Danielle P: Came to this Sally’s to grab a few products. I noticed when I first came in an employee was assisting another customer, I knew what I needed to purchase but could have used a little help picking out which brands and whatnot. The employee mentioned proceeded to walk by us multiple times and not ask if we needed any help, it felt more or less like we were being followed around the store. When I approached the register to buy the products I picked out, I greeted this employee and asked how her day was, she was older white woman with blondish hair, she responded with “phone number?”. I immediately could tell she was somewhat hostile. I then figured it’s best if I remain quiet and purchase my items quickly, as we did not feel welcome or helped at all. I wanted to purchase a bag for my products but she didn’t even offer, simply handed me my receipt without another word. Given she had no problem helping and holding conversation with another customer, it only leads me to believe she had some kind of issue with me and my boyfriend (who is african american.) I hate to say it or assume, but it genuinely felt racially motivated. I typically come to this location and have always had good experiences, it’s even close to my home. At this point i’d rather drive the extra distance than come to this store. I do not recommend.

Kimberly Theora: I'm giving 2 stars instead of one because I have previously had good experiences at this store. They have a decent selection of products. Unfortunately, my recent experience has soured my perception. I arrived at 7:27pm to grab a quick product on my way home from work. Before arriving I double checked the close time. Upon arriving I discovered the door was locked. I checked the sign on the door and it still listed 8pm. The employee inside made eye contact with me and then proceeded to ignore me entirely as she continued packing up her stuff and then headed to the back. I double checked for any signs about changes in close times, perhaps due to COVID but foubd nothing. I went back to my car to search for another location that may have the product I was looking for. Shortly afterwards, two employees exited the store and quickly entered their cars and left. I was extremely disappointed, not in the fact the store was closed early, but more in the complete lack of courtesy from the employee. She refused to even look at me again or offer a quick explanation for the early close, which I think is very rude considering there is no sign posted anywhere. Regardless, I will do my best to avoid this location in future.
Sarah Hemingsworth: Dear Supervisor /CorporateI came in a couple of nights ago to look at some nail polishes and there was a very nice young lady named Kelsey I believe who was helping me and had asked another employee of yours near the registers a question. I was taken aback by how the employee near the register spoke to her. She was very rude and seemed to speak as if she enjoyed disrespecting her. I felt so bad for her when she came back to check on me I told her how sorry I was she had to work with someone so rude and what she said next broke my heart she told me it’s ok it’s my job as she had a tear rolling down her face. I am not sure if that was the manager or another employee but I am saddened for all of your employees to have to work with such a rude person and maybe more training is needed but you have one very sour apple and I hope it doesn’t poison the rest.
