Holy wow… I tried a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and on a whim, I grabbed a raspberry bar even though I’m usually more a straight-chocolate fan… these are some of the *genuinely* best pastries I’ve had in a while. Most places are pretty tasty and even more visually appealing… but this place is DELICIOUS. Straight. Up. Uniquely. Divine. I’m from out of town, but I *will* be bookmarking these guys for future orders… you will not regret stopping here.

Mrs. Combs: Sugar Buzz in Cary, NC, NEVER disappoints. Their, Lemon Bar, is a delightful delicacy to be tried! There is a delicate crunch as you sink your teeth into the powdered sugar topped bar, just before your tongue captures its lemony sweetness.The, Coffee Cake, is a palatable treat! It is a soft, sweet, crunchy treat. I enjoy it without coffee, but I can imagine that coffee would take it to another level. ☺️The, Strawberry-Strawberry Cupcake, enveloped a pleasant surprise of strawberry jam or compote. It was so good! The customer service invites me to fill the largest box of goodies I can carry out of the door every time I visit the area. I love Sugar Buzz!

Patricia Dos Santos _ Staff - CarpenterES: I ordered my son's birthday cake here. I was very descriptive and showed pictures of the baseball themed diamond cake we wanted. When I arrived on Saturday, it was NOTHING like the pictures I sent them. It was such a disappointment. There were no details on the cake, it was a plain white cake with some green piping to make grass. I had asked for logos of baseball teams on the cake and there was just nothing. For $80 it was a complete rip off! I could've gotten a nicer cake at Publix with more detail for half the price. Won’t ever buy from this bakery again!!

In a world of hoping a bakery has gluten free options that go beyond Chocolate Torte this place delivers! I have a sweet tooth and celiac. gluten free bakeries are few and far between. the other day I bought a chocolate chip cookie and some coffee cake, and they were both absolutely delicious. much better consistency than the gluten free baked goods im used to. The first time I ever went, I got some chocolate cake. it was incredibly moist. I’m waiting for the day that I go in and they have some again

Victoria Martinez: My wife ordered a cake from here a month ago for my birthday on the 10th for this month. When we cut into the cake it was a unpleasant bite. We ordered a red velvet cake ( my favorite) and the bite itself was awful... you could taste the excess amount of flour in the cake, the cake had a grittiness to it which made it even more off-putting and the cream cheese icing was almost sour. I understand that red velvet is basically a chocolate cake, but the inside didn't even look like that bright red of a red velvet. The inside of this cake looked so dry and didn't even resemble a red velvet cake, this was a real disappointment because this bakery had great reviews but the cake was a major let down... especially since it's something I've been looking forward to for months and the cost itself was just a waste of money and a real big let down.
Robert Eyerly: Love this local bakery! At this point I’m a regular customer for their gluten free goodies. The chocolate chip cookies are the best, and gluten free but doesn’t taste like it. The eclair is really good too. So is the carrot cake, and the brownies. Just get one of everything!
Madison Lunger: Amazing bakery! The lady who worked the counter was patient and polite with us since it was our first time in there. We tried the brownie, a oatmeal cranberry cookie and the white chocolate raspberry bar. Everything was so good- cant wait to visit again :)

I left a message because they are already closed but please if you got the same do not eat it before cutting it open. They are closed mondays but we left a message and hopefully will hear back.

Each time I have been there they have had a wide variety of gluten-free goodies, such as scones, bars, apple almond cake, cheesecake, eclairs, lemon bars, pound cake and even hot pockets. The owner is really sweet as are the other workers.

C Hall: Decent cupcakes. The parking lot is a tiny bit challenging because it's tiny and on a busy road.
James Young: I ordered a custom cake and some of their classic assortment cupcakes for a birthday, and they did a great job. Everything looked and tasted delicious, with the cake baked just right and the frosting & decorations placed with great care and precision. I would gladly order from them again, and just might have to stop in now and again to try some more of their flavors. You know, just to get additional data points.Edit: We came back again this year for cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. Still great cupcakes!
Santhosh Prabu Venkataramana: The girl at the front desk is not welcoming, been there 2 times in past 1 week and had an unpleasant experiences. She will wait for you to say what you want to buy and you have to tell her exactly what you want by looking at the displays, you don’t have right to point at your fingers and say what you want, you should know all the types of cup cakes they sell there before hand and tell her the name of the ones which you want. Please train people on the basic etiquette on talking to customers before putting them at front desks. We don’t come there to get cup cakes for free , we are paying for it and we deserve a little customer service at the least. I am not going to this place anymore.

Shortly after eating 1 cupcake, I became very ill, and it lasted for the rest of the evening. Don't know why this happened. So, sorry to say, I probably won't be going back there. Diana Chen: Just wanted to thank the folks who saved my son’s 1st birthday party this morning under no obligation to do so at all. I made an online order thinking I could pick it up in downtown Raleigh and when I realized my mistake and called, not only did they answer before business hours, they went over and above to help me make it work. Not saying they should have to do this always, just that it says a lot about them as a business and individuals. AND the cupcakes were delicious! My 4 year old nephew tried a variety and each one was declared “the best cupcake EVER!” triple chocolate was my personal fave. Amber Williams: The cupcakes are very good. I’m essentially a huge fan of the red velvet and carrot. I really wish they had a better location though, or a wrap around exit. It is a very busy road and is difficult to get to the shop...and sometimes extremely dangerous and difficult to leave. I would go more if the location was not so difficult to get to!

Whoever the Owner or manager was, he truly needed to go home and start over for the day. I seen to women in front of me, serve theirselves some complimentary donut bites and when I came in behind them to getmine, my self like i had seen them do. He tells me, I think I need to be serving you this and literally snatches the tongs from me and covers up his snacks and turns his back to me and I literally just bought 4 items from them.. Snacks good, service sucks

In honor of Black History Month, I have made it my duty to support and promote black owned businesses across the triangle.I decided on the Oreo cupcake, triple chocolate, red velvet and lemon cheesecake pound cake. They were out of red velvet today. Everything was packaged neatly. I will say that they should improve on their branding. The packaging could use a facelift to make it eye catching and modern. It's 2023. My favorite item was the lemon cheesecake mini pound cake. So rich, moist and delicious. The icing was decadent. The Triple Chocolate Kupcake was excellent. Perfectly iced and the most moist chocolate cake. Perfection. Each cupcake came in an appropriate container to keep the Kupcakes neat. I appreciated this for gifting. I would definitely return again to support the business and try new menu items. They have a small location in the Morgan St Food Hall as well to cut down on the gas to Morrisville.

Lori Davis: I have only bought cupcakes twice but so yummy. My most recent visit I mentioned they were for the next day and I was told I didn’t have to refrigerate. Very moist and delicious. But I bought myself 2 :) (and 2 for my son) so I did put the next one in the fridge because I like cold baked goods. The best cold cupcake I have ever had. Also, I think it’s a good valve compared to what others charge for cupcakes. I will be back.

This place never disappoints. The staff is very laid-back personable and actually eat the stuff they sell so they can give you Recommendations unlike other places.I came in a while back and I really wanted a lemon cheesecake poundcake. The lady at the front had no problem hopping into the back whipping up some of that delicious topping and slapping it right on my poundcake it totally made my day.Please stop by or you will not be disappointed

Dustin “CrapbagMcgee” Martin: Best cheesecake around. Worth every penny.
Dave C: Our first time there to try the cheesecake. The one person there was less than enthusiastic, with no customer service skills. Asked for recommendations, and he said the plain was most popular and noted the top shelf was also popular. We got the peanut butter cup, and it was just so so. IF we return, it would be to try the plain, but I doubt we'll return.
Rachael Healy: Good cheesecakes. Great variety. Friendly staff! Definitely worth it to pick up your own cheesecake instead of using the delivery services. My family and I purchased a few flavors to try: almond joy, death by chocolate, pb cup, white chocolate raspberry, and tiramisu along with a lemon bar and PB bar. My favorite was the almond joy. This is the second time I’ve had the death by chocolate and both times the flourless torte part of it tastes like PB and it’s probably because it’s next to the PB cup in the showcase. I do wish the crusts weren’t as crumbly on them, they often fell apart not making it on the fork with the rest of the cheesecake. Definitely a great spot to get some cheesecake!

Vogue Elder: I was visiting from out of town, and always try to check out local fare. I’m glad I tried this place out. They had a nice amount of options by the slice, especially considering that I went a few minutes before closing. I ended up getting slices of the caramel macchiato and the death by chocolate cheesecakes. They were both rich and delicious. The caramel was good, but I didn’t get a lot of coffee flavor. The chocolate was really rich, and it took 3 days to eat the whole slice, but I’m not complaining. It was definitely good. I recommend this place, and will stop by again if I’m in the area.
