zozo H: Cute, clean store with friendly staff and a variety of desserts to choose from. We settled on a carrot cake and variety cupcakes. The carrot cake was one of the best I’ve tried in North Carolina so far. It had a cream cheese frosting, but wasn’t overpowering. The cake was perfectly spiced and had carrot shavings in it. The cupcakes were delicious as well. I would highly recommend this bakery.
Mara Price: Our experience with this bakery was wonderful! I wanted a heart-shaped cake with a simple, custom design for my wedding shower. It was less than a month away, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a cake in time. But this bakery really came through. We got chocolate cake with strawberry mousse and it was DELICIOUS. And the design, pastel orange with darker orange piping and hearts and our names in a beautiful script, was perfect. It was my dream cake, and everyone loved it! The customer service was also top notch. I will definitely be ordering from Blue Moon again.
CM WH: This is my go-to bakery! Every cake I’ve ordered from this bakery turns out beautiful and delicious! The staff is friendly and efficient and the prices for specialty cakes are reasonable! I’ve appreciated how I can call and order a cake just a few days before an event without a problem. I no longer live in Cary, but farther away and still will drive to OIABM for a celebration cake because I trust the quality of their products.

Shannon Whitehead: Once In A Blue Moon did an excellent job with our wedding cake! They were so nice and accommodating throughout the entire process, from vision to execution to delivery at our wedding venue. We showed them photos of what we were thinking and they pulled it off wonderfully. I wish I still had the original inspiration photo we showed. You can't see it in the photos but there's a lovely gold stripe on the side of our cake, too. We would definitely recommend their wedding cake services and truly can't thank them enough!

Emily Pounds: My husband and I recently got married in February 2021, and had the absolute pleasure of working with Joan from The Crepe Cakerie for our wedding baking needs! When we originally consulted with Joan (who was so incredibly flexible during the pandemic), we knew we wanted something different from the classic wedding cake. She walked us through her process of how she makes and thoughtfully curates the design of her crepe cakes for each wedding, and we instantly fell in love with her style! She arranged several seasonal flavors for us to try at a (COVID-friendly) outdoor tasting, and we opted on a two-tier crepe cake with lavender lemon filling in one layer, and raspberry filling in the second. Her crepe cakes are so light and delicate and the fillings are SO FRESH (she even incorporates herbal and floral elements from her garden)! We also ordered individually wrapped dessert minis for our guests to enjoy that included salted caramel pecan brownies, lemon bars, and her unbeatable English toffee! We were so impressed the day of the wedding with our gorgeous dessert table that Joan beautifully arranged, and our guests raved about how delicious all of the treats were. We were so thrilled with our unique wedding cake, and would recommend Joan’s artistry to any bride and groom to be!

Jeffrey Kramer: Joan, the Crepe Queen, presents creative, well thought out, useful cooking classes that have been so much fun to attend. All are engaging and participatory. My wife and I enjoy them together, trying to work as a team and stay out of each other's way as we are learning by doing, making savory crepes for supper, or a rich vegetable tian, or a number of other exciting dishes and desserts. They have all been well worth our time. I highly recommend these classes to anyone who enjoys cooking and eating classic dishes with an exert cook's wonderful tips and techniques, or new and interesting dishes that all seem to be healthful and delicious. Most of those in attendance are like us, eating what they cook in the class, then providing feedback. No surprise, the feedback is very positive. We are very happy to be a part of this Zoom class experience and intend to continue to learn from Joan and. her guests and fellow class attendees.

And let me tell you about the chocolate chip cookies. They are huge, perfectly salted, with mass amounts of chocolate. To call it a chocolate “chip” cookie seems like an understatement. Seriously, one of the best cookies I’ve ever had. SO happy mom and I came across this gem, can’t wait to go back!

I had no idea it was at this lady home until I arrived but I still decided to go with her because she was so nice, and her house didn’t smell bad and the cake samples I tired was pretty good. The reason for my review rating is because I trusted her word that my cake would look exactly like the photo of the cake I wanted. Also, the cake color was supposed to be ivory, and it looked yellow!!!Lastly, the cake itself was very hard to cut into, and the way the cake was made, made it hard to serve, catering had to remove the cake back into the kitchen Because the cake was going to fall apart. Husband and I were Very disappointed. The photo below is what I asked for and how the actually cake came out, notice the cake is not ivory, it is yellow and it looks very cheap!! I’m still upset because no one got to eat my cake from it being so frozen when she delivered my cake.

Rebekah Hunter: Intentionally stopped by the booth at an event downtown today because I wanted to check this bakery out. I never made it to actually sample any goods because the man at the booth was one of the most rude humans I have ever met. All I did was ask what made a German bakery unique and you would have thought I spit in his face. I even tried to smooth it over and say, “ how interesting” to his initial rude response which only led to a decline in the conversion. Needless to say, I won’t make the effort to visit again.

Holy wow… I tried a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and on a whim, I grabbed a raspberry bar even though I’m usually more a straight-chocolate fan… these are some of the *genuinely* best pastries I’ve had in a while. Most places are pretty tasty and even more visually appealing… but this place is DELICIOUS. Straight. Up. Uniquely. Divine. I’m from out of town, but I *will* be bookmarking these guys for future orders… you will not regret stopping here.

Mrs. Combs: Sugar Buzz in Cary, NC, NEVER disappoints. Their, Lemon Bar, is a delightful delicacy to be tried! There is a delicate crunch as you sink your teeth into the powdered sugar topped bar, just before your tongue captures its lemony sweetness.The, Coffee Cake, is a palatable treat! It is a soft, sweet, crunchy treat. I enjoy it without coffee, but I can imagine that coffee would take it to another level. ☺️The, Strawberry-Strawberry Cupcake, enveloped a pleasant surprise of strawberry jam or compote. It was so good! The customer service invites me to fill the largest box of goodies I can carry out of the door every time I visit the area. I love Sugar Buzz!

Patricia Dos Santos _ Staff - CarpenterES: I ordered my son's birthday cake here. I was very descriptive and showed pictures of the baseball themed diamond cake we wanted. When I arrived on Saturday, it was NOTHING like the pictures I sent them. It was such a disappointment. There were no details on the cake, it was a plain white cake with some green piping to make grass. I had asked for logos of baseball teams on the cake and there was just nothing. For $80 it was a complete rip off! I could've gotten a nicer cake at Publix with more detail for half the price. Won’t ever buy from this bakery again!!

In a world of hoping a bakery has gluten free options that go beyond Chocolate Torte this place delivers! I have even begun using this bakery to fill orders for when I need a sweet treat to take to business meetings. Do yourself a favor and stop by for some flavor!

I have a sweet tooth and celiac. gluten free bakeries are few and far between. the other day I bought a chocolate chip cookie and some coffee cake, and they were both absolutely delicious. much better consistency than the gluten free baked goods im used to. The first time I ever went, I got some chocolate cake. it was incredibly moist. I’m waiting for the day that I go in and they have some again

Victoria Martinez: My wife ordered a cake from here a month ago for my birthday on the 10th for this month. When we cut into the cake it was a unpleasant bite. We ordered a red velvet cake ( my favorite) and the bite itself was awful... you could taste the excess amount of flour in the cake, the cake had a grittiness to it which made it even more off-putting and the cream cheese icing was almost sour. I understand that red velvet is basically a chocolate cake, but the inside didn't even look like that bright red of a red velvet. The inside of this cake looked so dry and didn't even resemble a red velvet cake, this was a real disappointment because this bakery had great reviews but the cake was a major let down... especially since it's something I've been looking forward to for months and the cost itself was just a waste of money and a real big let down.
Robert Eyerly: Love this local bakery! At this point I’m a regular customer for their gluten free goodies. The chocolate chip cookies are the best, and gluten free but doesn’t taste like it. The eclair is really good too. So is the carrot cake, and the brownies. Just get one of everything!
Madison Lunger: Amazing bakery! The lady who worked the counter was patient and polite with us since it was our first time in there. We tried the brownie, a oatmeal cranberry cookie and the white chocolate raspberry bar. Everything was so good- cant wait to visit again :)

I have reccomend this place and I am so disappointed we will be returning it tomorrow attached are the photos. The mini cupcakes were also off. I left a message because they are already closed but please if you got the same do not eat it before cutting it open. They are closed mondays but we left a message and hopefully will hear back.

Caitlin Williams: I love that the bakery has Gluten-free options, and that their options are more than just cupcakes. Each time I have been there they have had a wide variety of gluten-free goodies, such as scones, bars, apple almond cake, cheesecake, eclairs, lemon bars, pound cake and even hot pockets. The owner is really sweet as are the other workers.
