Veterinary Emergency Care: what do users think?
Allie Gartland-Gray: Great experience so far! Looking forward to continued progress for my dog post knee surgery. The doctor and techs provided thorough explanations of exercises and goals.
Chrissy Saunders: Kind staff that kept us informed during our dogs stay. Our dog Louie was in the best hands no doubt for his end of life care. ❤️
Emory Roberts: Very quick and efficient service - was there when we needed them most while every other vet was closed!
Vernon U: Everyone was compassionate and offered excellence advice on Pete's condition. VERY Professional staff. provided compassionate advice and showed empathy for Pete and myself. I appreciate everything you did for us.
Robin RPM: Cannot say enough good things about this vet hospital. We have had several pet emergencies over the years and have always found them to be knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and courteous, providing exactly what was needed to deal with the injury (or in two cases reaction to a vaccine and the other to a preventative flea med). We have seen two terrible traumas come in while waiting and these were rushed to the back ahead of us. Thankful that they know how to triage when needed.I am so thankful for these veterinarians, their staff, and the quality of care we have received at very reasonable prices. If they ever open up a routine care clinic we are there.
Liz Marks: The team got Ziggy in quickly to assess what was going on and make a recommendation for his care. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Katherine Bailey: Our pup Brownie had an emergency illness which ended up being terminal. The staff was beyond helpful, comforting, and communicative during Brownie's stay at the hospital. They provided immense education, options, and long term outlook information. I could not have asked for better. I know they did all they could to keep our girl comfortable and loved during her last days. ❤️
Ciara Newth: Staff was very polite and very helpful! So grateful for their services.
Nathan Barkus: Ask them how long the wait is. I called a little before 9pm, explained our pets’ symptoms. They said yes bring her in, how soon can you be here? I said 30 mins, they said call when you get here and we will get you checked in. Absolutely implied immediate service and they were expecting us at a specific time.We rolled up at 9:30, at which point they told us they had a 6 hour wait. Since we had brought kids, we couldn’t stay and had to figure out a different plan. Two stars for kindness and compassion, the person on site was helpful and transparent. But given we were trying to find emergency care and they effectively wasted our time, not a good experience.
Cara Giannetto: I brought my 4 month old GSD puppy in for the first time this morning in a panic (new dog mom anxiety haha) and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. Everyone was so nice, friendly, and communicated honestly with me about wait times. They were thorough with the exam, put my mind at ease, and I felt the prices were reasonable. When you need an emergency vet, this is where you want to go!
lenny bucce: ‼️‼️‼️‼️ PSA ‼️‼️‼️‼️ CROOKSAbsolutely awful...who goes to an emergency EMERGENCY FOR a 2day wait THEY steal you're money before they even take a look at your dog, they guarantee it back if you decide to leave. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! They're all about money SAVE YOUR ANIMAL & GO ELSEWHERE!!!!NOTHING IS CONCERNING TO THEM , THEY WILL TURN YOU AWAY NO HESITATIONRUN FAR FROM HERE
Louise Bell: I was pleased to be able to get in with them after other emergency vets in the area had upwards of 4-6 hour wait times. Staff was friendly, competent, and compassionate. I feel confident in the quality of care that my dog received!
lisa dooley: From the initial phone call to the in-office visit the team was efficient, kind, and successful in providing relief to our pup who had swallowed a stuffed toy in whole! We appreciate the quick resolution and fair fees.
Victoria Watson: The team got us in fast and was transparent about the care Leo needed. Leo loved meeting everyone and I can now rest assured that he got the best care. The timeliness and friendliness made for a great experience during a stressful time.
Heather Lugo Holl: We called another emergency vet that did not have availability, but they recommended we call Veterinary Emergency Care as they were also close to us. Our kitty was able to be brought back right away to make sure he wasn't blocked, which was a big relief. We did have to wait a bit for him to be examined once it was determined he was not in critical shape, but we were kept informed about delays due to other emergencies coming in. The prices for all procedures/labs were stated up front so we could decide what was best for our situation. The price was much lower than I expected for an emergency visit! I'm thankful that everything worked out.
Lucas Wells: Everyone at the Veterinary Emergency Care was so compassionate and amazing, I appreciate the help and thoughtfulness along the difficult journey of having my dog, Donut, pass on. The care was the best I've had and everyone was wonderful. Every doctor and technician met us where we were, usually sitting on the floor to be comfortable. Thank you so much for your time and ability to help us through such a difficult time and make it dignified and graceful. The frequency and honesty of the follow ups. It was wonderful to know what was going on even if it was challenging.
Angel Myers: I could not be happier with the care and compassion of the staff. They were sweet and caring with Vito. Dr. Yunker took her time and explained every result and option throughly. The vet tech were amazing ! Genuinely Caring
Rachel D: My dog had been acting strange all day and then at night had blood in her waste, so I called this vet and they told me they could get her in pretty much as soon as I could get there. I get there, and the front desk staff are kind, helped me get her out of the car cause she's a big girl and get check-in started right away. When they took my dog back, they told me that x-rays might be necessary but they'd let me know, and I said okay. Then they didn't do any x-rays, said she was just dehydrated and they don't know why she had bloody waste, send her home with some subcutaneous fluids and a probiotic. I assumed that meant that the issue was not concerning, and that she would quickly recover. I'm not a vet so I trusted them.We followed up with our regular vet the next day, and they were extremely concerned, but could not get her in, and were very confused why the emergency vet didn't do x-rays. They didn't ask me if I wanted them. Turns out the notes they sent to our regular vet stated that they only intended to do x-rays if she got worse and had to come back. So around $450 later and my dog still has bloody waste, still sick and we don't even know why.It really feels like they just wanted to take my money and didn't really care about what happened to my dog. I get that she's an elderly animal and they have issues all the time, but she is a member of my family and I don't appreciate them waiting for an issue to get worse before they act on trying to diagnose it. I will not be returning.
Naomi Hammeke: All staff members were polite and eager to help my husband and me with Dash. Dr. Yunker zeroed in on the issue within minutes of seeing Dash. She explained our options and she then proceeded with caring for Dash. Our experience was great! Dr. Yunker provided me with all documentation I needed to file a claim with my pet insurance. We will definitely return when we need an emergency vet.
Aashish “Aashishkebab” Bharadwaj: Top notch care. I couldn't possibly have asked for better care of my sick cat. Prices were all up front, and not overly expensive. All staff were very friendly and kept me up to date as the process went on.
Jennifer Bale-O'Connell: Very thorough examination and good explanations of the findings. Treatment plan was clearly explained. Respected the dog's space and feelings. Everything in writing for me to refer back to. Excellent experience overall.

BluePearl Pet Hospital: what do users think?
Lauren Elizabeth: I just want to give a HUGE thank you to BluePearl’s staff for being so kind and comforting during my family’s visit. Today, we had to make a difficult decision and euthanize our guinea pig. Although they are not an exotic animal clinic, they went above and beyond with the way they handled everything. They did a great job tending to our needs. My family wants to especially thank Maddie for being so kind and answering all our question patiently and sticking by our side throughout our loss. She is going to be an absolutely amazing veterinarian. Thank you BluePearl for being so compassionate and warm during this difficult part of life. 100/10 would recommend. Affordable and top notch care.
Stacey Pack: Obviously I've had a very sick dog of late as this is the 3rd ER Hosp. We've been to got her. Regardless I can say they each keep building on one another as far as having Regardless I would want to care for my pup. Again I was explain all the test and given options. Stayed in a wonder suite closeby who accommodated very well. Ultimately, we ended up leaving with a finely detailed 3 page treatment plan. And all records and copies being sent to my wonderful regular Vet at home. The people were kind, by the 3nd day the knew my dogs name and even worked with her tendency to be fearful. Even solved a long term trip car sickness problem for her! Schew! Since we were 3 hours away. I would recommend them to anyone willing to be patient and pull out the cash. But it was no doubt, money well spent. I thank them daily.
David Edwards: I was very pleased with the professionalism, excellent care and communication. Highly Recommend.
Mary Dugan: Simply blown away by the compassion, care and thoroughness of the visit. We feel so much more comfortable with our dog's issues now. Every step of the way was kind, sincere and professional!
han: I don't typically post reviews but I figured people should know their pets are in great hands here :) This morning I found my pup in really bad shape; my normal vet was too busy so I brought her here. I was so scared and anxious for her, but immediately upon bringing her in she was taken into triage by some really kind nurses, it was so relieving to know that she was immediately being taken care of instead of having to have her wait in a lobby for hours before being seen. The lobby was warm, relaxing, and clean. I was told there would be a 3 hour wait, but the doctor came out to see me quite promptly within less than an hour. The doctor, Dr. Wimbish, was very informative and helpful and told me everything about their current diagnostic process - what she thought was going on and what tests she was going to run and why. It was clear to me that she really has a passion for her profession and a love for animals. Even though she was very busy and had many patients to see, she still took the time to be very compassionate and informative, she even gave me some helpful information about my dog breed's dietary needs that will keep my pup healthy and happy. All of the nurses were really sweet and kind, and even though they were all very busy, they kept me updated about my dog and commented on how sweet she is :) They even drew a little heart on my dog's medicine bag which made me smile even after the stressful morning! All in all, BluePearl Cary's services were prompt, helpful, and compassionate, and its staff did a great job! I went in so stressed out and anxious and left very relieved and happy. My dog is already back to her normal silly self. Thanks to all the staff and the hard work they were doing!!
CarlyAnn Underwood: Terrific emergency vet and took great care of us at 3 AM when our pup came down with tremors and mold toxicity
Mindi Pleasant: I had to take one of my cats here in the middle of the night for a urinary block a few days ago and he had to stay about 36 hours. The doctor explained everything to me very well and was extremely compassionate and diligent. The staff kept me well informed of everything as it was happening the whole time he was there. I can not express how grateful I am to them for their compassion and saving baby. He is doing great now.
Kenneth Boda: Taken advantage of and overcharged. We brought our cat in for a urinary issue that was very serious. I didn't feel like I was being properly informed about the actions that they were taking nor given the full range of possible options. Compared to some similar experiences at other vets - I felt like we were charged at least double for the what was done from the standard rates. Those things that were done, we wouldn't have chosen to do if we were properly informed.I felt taken advantage of during a very emotional situation.
Kelly White: Very competent and compassionate care providers! I especially love the vet techs.
Mel & Sherry May: Our dog Piper has cancer so we were referred to Blue Pearl by our vet. The staff couldn’t be any nicer. Even through a terrible diagnosis for Piper they gave us lots of options with no pressure at all. They were so compassionate & caring.
Ann Swenson: Took Quincey in on a Sat. Morning. Once we got there about 7 other pet owners came in. Pets were triaged by a nurse and we did wait awhile since we weren’t as emergent as some. Dr assessed pet and then he was admitted overnight for X-rays and fluids. We were grateful and picked Quincey up on Sunday am. He is on the mend, back to his old tricks! Thanks to all the staff
Annette Belanger: Receptionist was very insensitive and rude. Probably not a good a to have someone with this personality as first contact in an emergency situation.UPDATE: Our little Evve was very sick and I kept telling the receptionist, tech and doctor that this was an emergency situation (they wouldn't listen) as she couldn't breathe and lethargic. We were told to go home and order an air filter. Well, she was dying and she died the next day. These people do not care about your pet. Now I'm being harassed to leave a positive review to pull them out of their downward spiral of reviews. If you have to harass people in order to leave a positive review, there is something wrong.
Tania Thompson: They are very friendly and very efficient! I love how they are with the pets and with the people!
Ellen Vogel: They took great care of my cat, Cadi. It is difficult making choices for pets since they can't tell you how they feel or what they want. Her doctors in both oncology and emergency have been great about explaining my options and allowing me to decide what I feel is best for me and my girl. She also had surgery with one of their boarded surgeons which gave us additional years together.
Megan M: Our almost 14 year old lab was in distress yesterday (our vet was closed) and we knew it was time to say goodbye. We made an appointment to come in right away. Every single staff member we met with was kind and compassionate during one of the worst moments I’ve ever had to live through. Saying goodbye to our sweet girl was so hard, but how everything was handled at Blue Pearl was comforting. Thank you for helping her transition over the rainbow bridge…
Silvia Sanchez: I went today freaking out because my 12lb dog ate about 40 calming treats and he had crazy vomiting and diarrhea, the vets and nurses were soooo lovely, understanding and explained everything very careful to me, he is my support pet so I had extreme anxiety and when one of the nurses saw me she brought me my pet back so we both could calm down, which I appreciated so much. The only reason why I’m giving them 4 stars is because their terrible customer service in front desk. There was literally ONE lady that was nice (copper hair) and welcoming, the only one that knowledges you when you enter. There was one of them that was eating a slice of bread while taking my payment and it was so uncomfortable, unprofessional and weird. My baby’s vet’s name was Sarah if I’m not wrong and she was amazing3It’s an emergency hospital so they get a lot of pets, meaning wait time is very long but worth it.
Lee Bailey: I just want to thank everyone here for being so friendly and compassionate. My family and I had to part ways with our fur baby today, after calling several places blue pearl was one of very few that was able to preform the services we needed on short notice. The staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make a difficult process easier.
Mac Makel: This place is an absolute nightmare! If I could do a negative review I would. It doesn't even deserve a 1. This place is a disgrace. I have so many issues it would blow your mind. To start our dog had surgery and had to get his leg removed with hopes that it would take care of the cancer. We were told no promises but recommended he would be better off for a long future. The problems started as soon as we went to pick up our dog after surgery.1. Never explained discharge paperwork after an amputation2. Discovered a heart murmur in our dog and never disclosed this till we read the post op paperwork for ourselves *(medical malpractice)*3. Gave us the bill/invoice of almost double our agreed upon estimate for surgery. Then tried to explain extra charges and kept giving us different bills (5 different invoices) if not more...4. Had a biopsy done and were told that they couldn't read it and give us a correct diagnosis. Just that it's cancer.5. Never sent any pre op information to our primary care vet.6 Never had any useful over the phone. Just were told that we're sorry for any inconvenience. (Doctor Wells was helpful to explain the heart murmur and didn't have any problems with him)7. Were told countless lies and never called back with a set time/appointment.8. After dealing with all this they then sent another invoice 5 months later for a different amount.I told them I would never set foot or recommend anyone bring their animal there. BLUE PEARL IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A HOSPITAL! Please do not bring your animal there.Oh ps. My dog didn't make is past 6 months after the surgery, the cancer came back and completely took over. I know there's no promises when it comes to surgery but after taking to our primary vet we were told that the cancer was very severe and he didn't have the best outcome, hindsight being 20/20. I beg you not to go to Blue Pearl.
Amit Patel: Appreciate everything they've been doing for our little one, Rose. They were attentive and kept us in the loop regarding her liver issues. We still haven't figured out the solution yet, but thanks to them we are moving in the right direction. Our primary vet recommended them and we are glad they did. Thank you for your help once again.
Sarah M: We were so impressed with the level of care our kitten got at Blue Pearl Cary. Our 8-month-old kitten Oswald had to be hospitalized here for 3 days for severe anemia and was eventually diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. He needed multiple blood transfusions, a bone marrow biopsy, x-rays, an ultrasound, and countless other tests during his stay to determine the cause of his anemia. It was a really scary experience because we had no idea that he was so sick when we brought him in. Despite the hospital being so busy, we never felt rushed or disregarded. Our questions were all answered thoroughly and patiently, the vets were extremely knowledgeable, and we felt that all the staff really cared about his wellbeing. They were honest and realistic about the costs and what long-term care might look like depending on his diagnosis. They always got our permission before doing any tests or procedures. My favorite part about our experience with Blue Pearl was the consistent communication. We knew to expect an update text every morning around 8 or 9 about how Oswald did overnight and how the doctors were planning to proceed that day. The doctors would call later to explain test results and what they meant and answered all our questions. We were able to go back and see Oswald the first night he was there and several nurses assured us they would be there with him all night. It was so comforting to know he was in such good hands. The facility was also really nice and clean. It was expensive, of course, but we knew that it would be with the multi-day hospitalization and all the procedures and tests. We never felt blindsided by huge costs tacked on because the projected costs were made super clear to us on the first night. And again, they always got our permission before doing what the vet recommended, so we felt like we could make informed decisions about what was necessary for his care and what we should spend the money on. It was totally worth it to save our little guy. They also accept CareCredit payment plans and have a military discount. We highly, highly recommend Blue Pearl for your pet because we were honestly blown away by this place. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Oswald!
Savannah Dennis: They are really truly my hero’s! They worked with me with a payment plan when they usually don’t do that. Miss Cary is one of the veterinarians there, she was so sweet and helpful. They need 5 stars and superhero capes. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE. ❤️❤️🧡🧡💜💙 🖤🐾🐾

Maynard Animal Hospital- Cary: what do users think?
Laura Tully: This place is predatory. We called them to make an appointment - our dog clearly had a bad UTI. My elderly mother in law took him in and they did a urinalysis AND blood work even though that is more than is necessary for a diagnosis. Then they charged us $110 for PENICILLIN. I am really upset by our experience here. They did more than they need to to make money and took an advantage of an older woman. Disgusting.
Jason Stair: Took great care of a pair of sick rescue kittens. Gave us a great price.
Jessica Clark: I take all 3 of my animals here, and have been a client for almost two years. The clinic staff are always polite, timely, and communicative if they are behind on schedule (rare but has happened once). The clinic is relatively quiet and very well maintained. As the owner of an anxious dog, the staff are always receptive to my dog's needs and have made vet visits much easier for both my dog and me. The vets and techs are consistently personable, knowledgeable, and I've always felt heard by the vets rather than ignored (which I've felt in other practices). As a practice, they're open about striving to ensure that their costs are as economical as possible without sacrificing quality of care. Their staff have a focus on teaching aspiring veterinary professionals which leads me even more to support their work as they support the future of the field.I honestly cannot recommend this practice and their staff enough. This is the best vet hospital I've taken my pets to since becoming a pet owner.
Jacqueline Wilson-Merrill: Very kind and compassionate staff.
Yvette Williams: After speaking with another vet who told me they usually keep cats 2 or more days for the same issue, I am pretty sure they let me take my cat home too soon.
Brynn Lemmon: They were able to work my dog in very quickly and provided excellent care with not a long wait time. Dr. Shahady was kind, thorough, and patient. Decently priced as well. Very impressed and will be using again!
Yolanda Perez: Great service but expensive
Ridesh Sharma: Very professional and courteous staff.
Tracey Sharlow: Top notch care!!
Rachel Kerr: Great first time visit at Maynard Animal Hospital! All the staff and the Veterinarian we saw on the afternoon of 1/16 were great!! Did not feel pressure to buy things we didn’t want or need, which I appreciate because I’ve been to other vets where they are all about money👎 Will definitely be back in the future for our puppy’s (Annie) future visits :)
Carmen Bondy: Very happy with my visit to this vet. They were able to see my dog very quickly and the staff were all very friendly! I will be making them my regular vet from now on.
Benjamin Wilder: Helped us late in the afternoon after my pug ate a bottle cap! Vet here was extremely nice, and very professional.
Andie: Wonderful! Came during height of Covid and they were the only vet office that allowed us to come inside the building. All other offices were “drop off” only, with no insight on how long they’d be. This office saw us quickly, was very thorough and thoughtful and took excellent care of my baby. Highly recommend!
Ashley Laviner: Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! They walked me through everything I questioned!
Megan Pace: Scheduled a dental cleaning for my dog, arrived on time at 8am. No one showed up to open the clinic. Called three times and no answer! Very unprofessional.
Madison Bartholomew: This vet is awful! We have had two negative experiences with them. First, my husband took our dog and for his annual vaccines and blood test. We had an appointment but he was made to wait 3 hours, even though the vet was not busy. The big thing that really turned us off was an issue with our cat. He had been peeing outside of his litter box and crying consistently for 2 weeks. I took him into the vet and Dr. Kakarla said that he had crystals in his urine. He prescribed a bunch of unnecessary tests, combined with medicine and a bag of food that all cost me $1,000. I took home the bag of food and some medication for my cat, only for his condition to worsen. He was having constant vomiting and diarrhea and was refusing to eat and bathe a week later. I called the vet to ask for the results of the urine culture they'd ordered (they had not called me back when the results came in) and they told me that even though his urine culture was negative for bacteria, the medicine was most likely making him sick and I needed to stop. I spent $1,000 there for them to make my cat worse and give him medicine that was completely unnecessary. They are just out to get your money and will give your animal minimal care. Do yourself and your animal a favor and avoid this practice!
Fred J DiMaria: Everyone at Maynard Animal Hospital are the most amazing , caring , compassionate people doing what they love to do ! There are some many people I would love to thank for their service !They know who they are Kudos to all of them !
Rich Kauffman: Very friendly, compassionate staff. Our dog appeared to be in distress and we were very concerned so we called an after hours animal hospital close to us. We had to leave a message so we called Maynard Animal Hospital and not only did they answer our call, they told us to bring her in right away. We only had to wait a little while to be seen and they did a through exam to make sure everything was ok. We definitely recommend them for emergency service.
Bunniii Power: The staff is really friendly. They don't try to guilt you into buying things or push expensive foods on you.
Taylor Deal: Maynard Animal Hospital will tell you “no news is good news” regarding your pets test results then let the bad results sit there for a week with no attempts to call you or return your calls asking for an update. After the first time this happened, we had to explicitly tell them we wanted test results (although sharing results from tests you pay for should be the standard) and they failed to share the bad results a second time. You’ll have to pry for information from the vets and techs on how to treat and care for your sick animal and leave confused and helpless, having to Google information that the staff should’ve told you. They’ll incorrectly mark in your pet’s chart that an office visit occurred and treatment was given to rid themselves of the responsibility of actually scheduling and treating your pet. I had 3 techs and one vet tell me that my dog received treatment when she did not. Techs, vets, and front office staff obviously do not communicate and their goal is to cross your name off their to-do list by ignoring concerns and lying to your face. Save your time and money and find a vet who cares!Edit: their reply states I never called back, and that they “would never claim treatment is done when it’s not done” but they retracted these statements when I called, saying they can see that I did in fact call back and that their staff did incorrectly mark that a visit occurred. Nice try for lying in your response back - and it’s not the intestinal parasites that were the problem, it was the staff and vets.

Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice: what do users think?
Ashlie West: My 7-month old puppy was having trouble eating and we thought it was a blockage. But they were able to determine it wasn’t her GI system and was actually her heart. They kept her alive and got her into NC State’s Vet Hospital for more intensive care. If they hadn’t caught her shortness of breath, she wouldn’t have survived the night. Everyone was so kind and kept me updated frequently. They took excellent care of my sweet girl and were so supportive to me.
Nataliy Corbin: Came in with cat fever and sick at 8 pm and waited 3 hours before the doctor seeing her. Even after $900 and labs , the doctor still didn't know what is wrong with my baby. Just to walk in to the hospital , at the door , you are notified of $250 fees for just being seen. Blood pressure checking $60!In addition, they told me to sit and wait in the lobby while my cat was taken away for hours to the back of the hospital until the doctor will see her. So, I am sitting and waiting in the lobby than I see other pets owners are coming out of back rooms, so I asked why am I the only one sitting here, I have the right to be with my kitty while awaiting to see the doctor. Only after my demand, they let me in one of the exam rooms with my baby . We saw the doctor 3 hours later. So , from 8 pm, we have left the hospital around 1 am.No one has called us the next day to check how my pet is doing and that's fine, I have made an apt with her regular vet to follow up on her apt.Not impressed, long wait, pushed me aside for hours, after paying almost one thousand dollars for this visit, we still don't know why she was sick. Please do yourself a favor and make an apt with your regular vet, unless your pet is near to.death, I would not go there.. thank you !
Brandon Drums: I have a 12 year old 85 lb pointer mix that had BOTH knees reconstructed here 10 and 11 years ago, respectfully. He's still alive and quite mobile!!! This procedure is a miracle and worth the expense. Here's a pic from just last year at nearly 12 years old after hiking up to the highest point in Grayson Highlands State Park in VA. No small feat for any dog of his age, much less a large dog with two artificial knees. The knees are better than what he was born with. What a great life he's enjoyed.
Jason Stamps: They did everything they could to help my dog. She had to be put down. They did it with care and compassion.
Shane Armstrong: Always feel comforted to know there’s such an excellent emergency veterinary service near me. I’ve always had kind compassionate care here. The prices aren’t as bad as they could be, but keep in mind this is emergency treatment, it’s going to be more expensive.
Kate Howard: Nice place with nice staff
Jose Amundarain: We had to let our poor Mojo go. The staff helped us through the painful process as best they could. 😞
B ao: Couldn't be happier with Quartet. 10 years ago, Dr. Keller played a big role in saving my dog Luna’s life after an accident that required emergency surgery and a weekend stay. 10 years later, Dr. Keller helped me navigate a difficult decision re: surgery of a questionable mass. He explained everything about Luna's condition and my options so well. At her age and the location of the tumor, there was a lot to consider. We definitely made the right decision not to have surgery.Luna lived a happy and healthy 14 years. Thank you, Dr. Keller.
Bielka01: A nice emergency clinic, unfortunately very expensive as well, but the service received is top quality
Eric H: What a great place. Can't recommend this place enough should you need it
Jeanette Lee: They were very nice and considerate when we took our beloved Smokey up there on 7-4-22 to have him cremated. They had been our vet for months
Ana Tapioca: Incredible customer service and professional expertise.
Shawnee Seese: The medical professionals and staff are incredibly skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable. I couldn't imagine my dog having surgery anywhere else. Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Keller, is truly top notch! They all are angels.
Benito: I am glad we trusted Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice (which resides in Quartet Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital) with our cat.The employees answered all of our questions and left us with no doubts. They performed surgery on my cat's leg and he has since made a full recovery. You cannot even tell which leg he broke now.The cost was a few thousand dollars, and they offer payment plans. In my opinion, it's not about if you can afford the cost out of pocket, but if you can make it work for you and your family. The only confusing part was that surgery and emergency care have different phone numbers as they are separate businesses and I kept calling the wrong one.
Andrew Hayes: The surgeon we spoke with was friendly and helpful as he fully explained the situation to us. The staff is great. We did have one issue where our first appointment was scheduled and we were called asking if our appointment could be changed to a later time. We agreed and so our appointment was moved. We thought the technician had said one time, but they had said another time, and no written confirmation of the update was ever sent to us. When we didn't show up at the time they had switched it to, they didn't even call us to see if we were on our way or if we needed to reschedule. So we showed up at the later time we thought our appointment was, only to find we had missed it. They really need to send a confirmation text or email for moved appointments like they do for initial appointments.Update: Post surgery our dog is doing great and the follow up from the surgeon has been absolutely wonderful. Aside from our initial scheduling issues- we had an incredibly positive experience with Quartet and would recommend them to anyone in the triangle who needs surgery for one of their pets.
Ana Pet: This review is not meant to reflect my opinion in the quality of service. But is directly related to the new changes on parking policy for clients coming from the Surgery side, which has no diversity in management, so is probably a little short sighted. There is only one tree that provides shade in the entire front parking lot (a tiny one by the mailbox). So sometimes, when I bring my dogs for physical theraphy I park by the garbage containers, which have a couple of shady spots, so I don’t have to leave my car running, which is not sustainable. Also, I just learned clients are not allowed to park in the back, which generally have quite a few spots. But also it does not provides any shade. In the last few months I have seen these cars parked in the street, which I guess must be ok (I posted a picture because I don’t think they should be parking on the white strips), but I didn’t understand why, since there is always plenty of parking spots in this asphalted parking lot. So my suggestion to increase client comfort while we wait for our pets to do their PT, is to plant more grown trees. Also, maybe next time you have to resurface the asphalt think about being more sustainable and replacing the hot, heat emitting asphalt with permeable pavers with grass, and again, plant more trees in between spots. So it s a pleasant experience to wait out outside. I do recommend the rehabilitation side this practice. Also the emergency side once helped me with one of my pups when he had a intestinal blockage. Albeit, very expensive.
Suzanne Heffelfinger: They were great!
Dan O'Brien: Had to rush our dog in with a stomach blockage, required surgery...Dr and techs were great and Maggie is on the mend.
Katrina Andrews: Big thanks to these lovely folks when we brought them a stray cat who was hit by a car at 11PM on a Friday night. While he was already in mediocre condition from living on the streets, they got him stabilized and patched up with the same degree of care one would expect for a beloved pet. "Bonkers" is well on the road to recovery and taking the first steps into his cushy house cat life.
Anita Ollie: Sadie had to have knee replacement surgery a year ago, which has done really well. Dr Clark was a very compassionate and wonderful surgeon. He has moved on and now Sadie is having difficulty with her other leg. The staff are a wonderful group of caring people and understand how much our little four-legged friends mean to us.
Andrew Guenther: 1. covid government control sucks 2. staff is as awesome working with pets and owners.

Walnut Street Animal Hospital: what do users think?
Karla Ramos: My pet and I required an emergency visit and the staff took us in right away. The doctor and his vet assistant were very thorough in explaining what situation we were in. Everybody treated my girl with respect and were very sweet to her. I left with the confidence of knowing how to help my baby girl and what steps we should take next based on her diagnosis. I will definitely recommend this vet clinic if you consider your pet a family member and want the best service/treatment for your pets.
Elizabeth Lawhon: Dr. Skiff and Sohaila were great with my cat! Always have a good experience at Walnut Street Animal Hospital.

Allure Nails: Got my dog Zero in and out for his shots!!! Thank you Dr. Matrai and Sohailla

Abby went above and beyond and stayed by his side until all of our family could be there to say goodbye. The best experience we could have expected at such a heart breaking time. Thank you.

Brittani Carlington: Had an amazing visit with Dr. Marlon & Denise. Dr Marlon was incredibly patient with all of my questions, super thorough and knowledgeable! I will absolutely be back for my cats to see him! Please don’t leave!I love this practice because they’re super accommodating with scheduling & rescheduling and have different care plans available! -Brittani Carlington
Spencer B: Dr Shaff and the vet tech Sohaila are fantastic. Both knowledgeable, professional and caring. Our dog is our family and it's so nice to have her treated lovingly by such talented people.
Beth Diaz: The staff was very welcoming and warming,, I felt reassured that they are going to take care of my baby. The technician that was in the room with us in the beginning, Victoria, was extremely knowledgeable and confident, but made myself and my fur baby feel like we were in good hands. This is the first visit that I’ve had here with Charlie. He had to be sedated so they could get x-rays, and he was Carried back to the room so very gently, which included a nice, soft blanket. I will be coming back here, so far so wonderful.
Courtney Vanwhervin: Kimmie was super sweet and knowledgeable. Dr. Marlon was kind & explained everything that I needed to know about my puppies allergies. Thank you so much!
LocalGuide Vet: I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Marlon Sequeira for years. I see he has permanently shut down his hospital, but now that I know he is working at Walnut Street in Cary, my 3 fur babies will definitely be following. I have heard great things about Walnut Street and now that Dr. Marlon is practicing there...I do believe this hospital will become even better. Good luck to you all. I will call to book my fur babies very soon! -- Matthew H.
Bobby Gentile: Called last minute for an appointment and they fit me in asap, the tech Kay was super helpful and was understanding with all of my questions, she took the time to explain all of the medications. Would come back here with my dog Sadie again!
Tracy Campbell: First time visiting, my husband and I spoke with a young lady named Maliah. She was very understanding of our concerns. Thank you!
Goldknight29: Took my pup here and the care was amazing, would be back again. My tech Kay was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. Would recommend her to anyone who has questions about their pet!
Deborah Pattison: Great team and wonderful care - Kay was awesome!
Katt Absinthe: Denise is so gentle and caring with my pets! Seeing the way the Doctors and technicians take such great care of my pets is heartwarming
Christine Macomber: Dr. K and Sohaila were so kind with our dogs and very patient! We loved how they were very thorough and respectful. We highly recommend them!
Ryan Taylor: Thank you to Dr. K, Josie, and Maliah for outstanding service!
Sharod Blackwell: I went in the other day for a routine check up and the tech helping with the appointment, Kiara was very kind to my dog. Towards the ending my pup didn’t even want to leave, just stay and keep getting treats! Love the new additions to the staff here!

Care First Animal Hospital at Tryon: what do users think?
Toni Jones: The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient! My pup enjoyed his visit at Tryon location!
Laura Alviz Palacio: After calling and visiting many vets in the Triangle, the staff at Care First Tryon made a difference. I was trying to get an International Travel Certificate for my cats and they were the only ones that knew exactly what to do. Ros treated me and my cats with profesionalism and warmth and kept me updated all the time. A big big THANK YOU!
Brigitte Specht: The experience from the first call was excellent. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, caring and informative through the entire process of our dogs spay. The prices were reasonable.
Maryam Mohamed: I don’t even know where to begin here. The staff members at Care First are truly one of a kind, top-tier, high class, veterinary providers. Each member of their staff is so knowledgeable, but above all, COMPASSIONATE. We recently had to put down my 2mo. old kitten due to lily poisoning, and it was the most traumatizing thing I think my family has ever experienced. We got a card in the mail from Care First a week later, expressing condolences with several doctors messages on the card. I can’t even begin to express how much that meant to me and my family when we are already struggling psychologically from the devastating loss. It’s small things like these that really take this animal hospital to the next level. I’ve also had to pleasure of speaking to Debbie Gordon, one of the hospital founders, and I can’t even verbalize how much of a lovely, empathetic, sincere woman she is. This is a family business that truly serves from the heart and is worth every single penny. If you are looking for animal practitioners who are going to treat your animals like one their own, then look no further than Care First Animal Hospital.
McKenna Ronan: Great level of care and transparency
mike chandler: Earlier today I posted a comment. Since then has been rectified. I am pleased for the quick response and mutual respect shown. I am very happy with the results.
Helen Kimble: Always a positive experience with staff - both kind and knowledgeable!
Michael G: I highly recommend this vet. I was a long time customer of one closer to my house, but I was no longer satisfied with the care my animals were receiving. I switched to this vet and it is like night and day. The service is extremely professional and customer focused. My dog has been on prescription food for years, but because he is skittish, neither I nor the techs at my previous vet were able to get a urine sample for YEARS. This place has a scoop on an extension rod and was able to obtain a sample on the FIRST try!! On a follow up visit, my dog was more difficult so they kept him for a few hours until they were able to get a sample, then called me to pock him up. Sure beats getting sent home with a plastic tray and a “good luck”.After both visits I received a detailed follow up about his bloodwork. I feel so much better about taking my pets here even though it is about 3 times further to drive compared to my previous vet. They’ve already earned me as a dedicated customer.
Monica: Clearly they are animal lovers here. Very sympathetic to my situation with my senior beagle..
Lois Nixon: Service is always prompt and professional. Staff actually cares about each patient!
T Holder: This is not a 24 hour l or veterinary clinic that has a vet in the office at all times. In fact, at 3:03 PM on a Sunday it being a 24 hour facility they have no vet in the clinic and I’m not understanding how a veterinary service can operate 24 hours without a vet. How is this a 24 hour veterinary clinic with no vet on site on the weekend? This place should be removed from google when asking for clinics when one is seeking services around normal business hours.
Bryan Hicks: Friendly and Professional, that is what I can say about Care First!! This place has always treated Codie and my family with nothing but great care, respect and knowledge of what is going on. Very thankful for good people!
Vashti B: Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, vet assistant was really thorough and caring of my pup, and the vet was so non-judgmental, informative and communicative during and after our visit!
Jakub Chaba: The experience I had at Care First Animal Hospital was amazing.Everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. I had absolutely trust in the staff that they were going to take care of my dog. I am particularly impressed with the level of communication that I have experienced with the staff in checking that my dog is doing well after her procedure.Every member of staff asked me if I had any additional questions and made sure I had those questions answered.I’m incredibly happy to have found such an excellent veterinary office for my dog.
Tommi Powell: I've always had pleasant experiences here. (I've been coming to this location since it was Wellington.) We love Dr. P, and I don't know that I could ever fully express my gratitude and appreciation for how Dr. P and all the staff helped me help Cool J cross the bridge when it was time. And they somehow manage to wrangle my wild child coonhound and drama queen pitty mix. They're just good "doggie" folks - and I mean that in the best way possible.
J Thompson: Although my dog is normally a patient at CareFirst Glenwood, she needed an immediate procedure and I was referred to CareFirst Cary (Tryon). Dr. Craven at CareFirst Cary performed the procedure. Dr. Craven was wonderful – she not only successfully performed the procedure, but also spent the time to answer my questions and demonstrated genuine caring for my baby. The team at the front desk was also very helpful and thorough when reviewing her discharge instructions. Thank you CareFirst Cary!
Brenda “Jennie” L: Amazing experience. Brought my furbabies Zeke and Elliot to them to get neutered. They were absolutely amazing. All of them were sooooo nice and caring. Such a great team. Very caring. And the Dr came out to talk with us. Such a great bedside manner. Highly recommend this group. Thank you again
Ashlyn Young: We went to Care First for our dogs spay surgery. She’s a 1 year old, 65lb golden retriever. I was nervous leading up to the surgery, but Care First staff was extremely communicative, kind and took wonderful care of our pup. They even checked in the day after to make sure she was recovering well at home. We would highly recommend!
jfs_concepts: This is the best vet we have ever been to, hands down. They LOVE our dogs and always look out for them however they can - especially our boy Panda (in the pic below) who exists to live life dangerously, apparently! 🤣Also, now that they have a new groomer there (who is awesome by the way!), they can handle everything for our babies - vet services, boarding, daycare, grooming, dental, the works!Miska & Panda love y'all! Keep up the great work! :)
Katie Lee: I cannot say enough good things about Care First on Tryon. Dr Peterson and Dr Craven are who I see primarily for my two cats but everyone I’ve ever encountered there is amazing. They are so quick to get back with any questions either through phone email or text, they always follow up anytime either of my boys are seen, and I can almost always get them same week appointments if not next day. They’re very thorough and answer any questions and give plenty of options. Love love love love.
Abdel Mohamed: The doctors here are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming and they provide excellent veterinarian care. At the same time, it’s clear that their bottom line is their revenue and profit, as their prices can be significantly higher than other Vets. Additionally, they seem to push heavily for surgeries that are not immediately or entirely necessary, likely because that’s their biggest profit center.

Gentle Care Animal Hospital - at Ten Ten Rd.: what do users think?
Frank Damato: From check in to check out the best care around
Rob Clive: My cat had a wound, took him in. The staff and Dr took great care of my guy. I recommend them
Dan Lendl: Great care but expensive
Donise Benton: Gentle Care Animal Hospital at Ten-Ten certainly know how to make my baby look like a princess. look at her beautiful cut!
Kalyn Johnson: Had to take my cat here on a whim during an emergency when his normal vet was booked up. This place was seriously amazing. Everyone was so friendly and they continued texting me throughout the following day to make sure he was better. Also very reasonably priced compared to other vets in the area. He will definitely be a returning patient, but hopefully just for future checkups :)
Kat Hobson: The staff and Dr.'s are very helpful. We have been taking our cats there for over 3 years now. Would highly recommend them.
Shane Armstrong: Went here to have my senior dog evaluated for an emergency surgery. Unfortunately, I had to ultimately make a much more difficult decision. They were very patient and kind and allowed me to usher my Riley girl into the next world with lots of love. It was one of the worst days I’ve ever had, but they did their best to help me through it.
William Parrish: Fast and easy appointment. Friendly staff
Christina Thomas: Absolutely amazing. I called the other day to schedule an appointment for all three of my babies two dogs and cat. Someone had told me they were doing free microchipping through the month of October. I called to schedule an appointment and then called back a few minutes later, it gets worse. I then called on the day of because my sweet cat knew something was up and was not about it. Christina, the wonderful lady I spoke with on the phone was beyond understanding through out it all. Reassured me that it happens with other kitties and it was not a problem to bring in my two pups instead. I get there and am greeted in such a friendly atmosphere every other employee that I encountered (I suck with names and don't think I got all the names anyhow) were above and beyond amazing as well. I am taken aback by the awesome Halloween decorations (love all things spooky ^-^ ), along with the cleanliness and how organized it was. You can tell right away that these wonderful people really do care about not only your babies but you and your satisfaction as well. Now being I came for the free microchipping I did not pay anything this visit so I can not say anything about price ranges. Honestly though, if you have it to spare (from what I read some, say they're expensive) I truly believe that it would be well worth the price for the care provided to not only your pet but you as well. I thank all the employees that I encountered for making it a wonderful experience for my babies and myself.
Hartaj Singh: We have had dogs for many years. And have had the pleasure of utilizing many fine doggy care facilities in the Raleigh/Cary area. GCAH is among the finest. Easy to get toCaring staff. The physician(s) on site guided our family through a doggy cancer diagnosis, care and passing. Done with the finest care, empathy and patience. We love you GCHA! ✌🏽💗🙏🏽
Kim Gossick: Very disappointed in the grooming situation here. I was bringing my mother's dog to be groomed because she's elderly. I got there at 9:30 which was 30 minutes after my arrival time and they told me that they couldn't take me that I could schedule it for another day at 9:00 a.m. I don't understand how you have a full day of grooming and you can't accept one dog.
J Jackson: Dr. Davis and her assistants were awesome. Unlike some veterinary practices I’ve frequented, I felt like I was an integral part of the treatment plan. No pressure and great explanations.
Dan Whaite: Came here to have them look at a skin lesion on my dog, was charged $260+ for a test and treatment that didn't work. It got worse. When I came back in, I fully expected to pay for some new treatment, but they insisted on charging me for another consult (and another test that they never confirmed that I wanted), for $180+. I expect any service provider to be up front with a price, confirm that you want it, and then be reasonable if what they do doesn't work. Dr. Davis just couldn't grasp my point of view that I shouldn't continually be charged for consults when their treatments don't work. Trying somewhere else next time.
Brenda Long (Brenda): Kayla is very good with Winnie. She trims her close when I ask. Very kind & accommodating!
Carol Johnston: Goat knows!
Mark Whiteman: Exceptional care provided by the Dr. Sablotny and the overall staff. My recent visit with my cat was probably the most comprehensive one I have experienced at any facility in a long time. Very thorough, not rushed, with thoughtful and detailed recommendations and responses to my questions. She even called me after hours on a Friday to go over the bloodwork results, to ensure I didn't spend the weekend wondering about the outcome. Very professional and thoughtful.
Maddis: Overpriced, and staff (other than the vet) gaslights you if you don't accept every upcharge on their long list of conveniently 'new' vaccines, floats and macguffins that have zero chance of adding any value (just look online at several reputable reviews of these pocket padders for the owners. Corporate run and there to poach. Not the way to compete with other vets being honest and not looking to inject as many non necessary nonsense into your beloved friend. Take heed, challenge and don't think you have to pay $400+ dollars just for a check up.
Carol Davidson: The vets and supporting staff are so compassionate and caring. I highly recommend this animal hospital.
Terry Baudoin: Great Team
Julia Tennant: Our dog, Boudin, had a series of seizures starting at 6:30am and my husband and I started driving to the nearest emergency vet since none of the vets near us were open yet. Along the way, I looked up vets that were closer than the emergency vet and also open. I called Gentle Care and they said to come right in. The tech met us in the parking lot and took our dog right in. I went into the exam room and the tech started asking me questions and I just started to cry. She came over and hugged me and then we got the paperwork done. Another tech came in and reassured my husband and I that our dog was stable and then asked some more questions and went over pricing/treatment. After awhile, the vet came in and talked with us. She spent a lot of time finding out our dogs background and just speaking with us. We did not feel rushed and felt like the vet and techs all cared about our dog and us, as we were pretty emotional. Even the receptionist gave me a hug on the way out! Gentle Care sent me several texts/pictures throughout the day so we could see how Boudin was doing. The vet called later on and went over some test results etc. and they also called the next day to update us about some more test results etc. and to let us know they were going to refer our dog for an ultrasound based on the tests. My husband and I were both very, very happy with the care our dog received and the care we received too... :) Everyone was compassionate, caring and seemed to understand how worried we were about our dog and went out of their way to make us feel better. Great care isn't cheap (but I don't think Gentle Care is anymore than what most vets charge and I will gladly pay for what is needed to make sure my dog is ok), and they were very up front about treatment, costs and any possible treatments if needed. Our bill actually ended up being less than originally quoted. If you are looking for excellent vet care for your animal along with an excellent team of professional, caring and communicative staff who go out of their way, I highly recommend going to Gentle Care! My husband and I are so grateful for all you have done for us and Boudin.
Brian Crandell: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessThe staff here have been extremely helpful keeping my cat's asthma prescription going, despite us moving out-of-state and no longer being able to visit them.
