Karla Ramos: My pet and I required an emergency visit and the staff took us in right away. The doctor and his vet assistant were very thorough in explaining what situation we were in. Everybody treated my girl with respect and were very sweet to her. I left with the confidence of knowing how to help my baby girl and what steps we should take next based on her diagnosis. I will definitely recommend this vet clinic if you consider your pet a family member and want the best service/treatment for your pets.

The technician that was in the room with us in the beginning, Victoria, was extremely knowledgeable and confident, but made myself and my fur baby feel like we were in good hands. This is the first visit that I’ve had here with Charlie. He had to be sedated so they could get x-rays, and he was Carried back to the room so very gently, which included a nice, soft blanket. I will be coming back here, so far so wonderful.

Laura Tully: This place is predatory. We called them to make an appointment - our dog clearly had a bad UTI. My elderly mother in law took him in and they did a urinalysis AND blood work even though that is more than is necessary for a diagnosis. Then they charged us $110 for PENICILLIN. I am really upset by our experience here. They did more than they need to to make money and took an advantage of an older woman. Disgusting.

Jessica Clark: I take all 3 of my animals here, and have been a client for almost two years. The clinic staff are always polite, timely, and communicative if they are behind on schedule (rare but has happened once). The clinic is relatively quiet and very well maintained. As the owner of an anxious dog, the staff are always receptive to my dog's needs and have made vet visits much easier for both my dog and me. The vets and techs are consistently personable, knowledgeable, and I've always felt heard by the vets rather than ignored (which I've felt in other practices). As a practice, they're open about striving to ensure that their costs are as economical as possible without sacrificing quality of care. Their staff have a focus on teaching aspiring veterinary professionals which leads me even more to support their work as they support the future of the field.I honestly cannot recommend this practice and their staff enough. This is the best vet hospital I've taken my pets to since becoming a pet owner.

Madison Bartholomew: This vet is awful! We have had two negative experiences with them. First, my husband took our dog and for his annual vaccines and blood test. We had an appointment but he was made to wait 3 hours, even though the vet was not busy. The big thing that really turned us off was an issue with our cat. He had been peeing outside of his litter box and crying consistently for 2 weeks. I took him into the vet and Dr. Kakarla said that he had crystals in his urine. He prescribed a bunch of unnecessary tests, combined with medicine and a bag of food that all cost me $1,000. I took home the bag of food and some medication for my cat, only for his condition to worsen. He was having constant vomiting and diarrhea and was refusing to eat and bathe a week later. I called the vet to ask for the results of the urine culture they'd ordered (they had not called me back when the results came in) and they told me that even though his urine culture was negative for bacteria, the medicine was most likely making him sick and I needed to stop. I spent $1,000 there for them to make my cat worse and give him medicine that was completely unnecessary. They are just out to get your money and will give your animal minimal care. Do yourself and your animal a favor and avoid this practice!

Rich Kauffman: Very friendly, compassionate staff. Our dog appeared to be in distress and we were very concerned so we called an after hours animal hospital close to us. We had to leave a message so we called Maynard Animal Hospital and not only did they answer our call, they told us to bring her in right away. We only had to wait a little while to be seen and they did a through exam to make sure everything was ok. We definitely recommend them for emergency service.
Bunniii Power: The staff is really friendly. They don't try to guilt you into buying things or push expensive foods on you.
Taylor Deal: Maynard Animal Hospital will tell you “no news is good news” regarding your pets test results then let the bad results sit there for a week with no attempts to call you or return your calls asking for an update. After the first time this happened, we had to explicitly tell them we wanted test results (although sharing results from tests you pay for should be the standard) and they failed to share the bad results a second time. You’ll have to pry for information from the vets and techs on how to treat and care for your sick animal and leave confused and helpless, having to Google information that the staff should’ve told you. They’ll incorrectly mark in your pet’s chart that an office visit occurred and treatment was given to rid themselves of the responsibility of actually scheduling and treating your pet. I had 3 techs and one vet tell me that my dog received treatment when she did not. Techs, vets, and front office staff obviously do not communicate and their goal is to cross your name off their to-do list by ignoring concerns and lying to your face. Save your time and money and find a vet who cares!Edit: their reply states I never called back, and that they “would never claim treatment is done when it’s not done” but they retracted these statements when I called, saying they can see that I did in fact call back and that their staff did incorrectly mark that a visit occurred. Nice try for lying in your response back - and it’s not the intestinal parasites that were the problem, it was the staff and vets.

Rhiannon T.: Yesterday was our first time to visit Mayfair and we brought our new kitten in for a meet & greet, so she could be acclimated to vet visits and meet Dr. Bailey! The front desk staff, vet tech, and Dr. Bailey were all amazing in greeting us and Elune, as well as making it as "pawsitive" experience as possible! The exam room we used even had a window facing a bird bath, which our cat enjoyed exploring!Dr. Bailey treated our older kitties a few years ago and does an wonderful job. He truly cares for his clients and we are so thrilled to see him at Mayfair!
Caitlin Graham: Our dogs, Abby & Zoe, have been very well taken care of at Mayfair for the last 12 years! Dr Bristol was our vet from the beginning and was always an excellent provider and so caring while our older dog has gone through many health scares. Now that she has retired, we decided to see Dr Bailey who was so wonderful, along with his vet tech. They were both very gentle, friendly, and thorough with Abby. Also, shout out to Monica who is always lovely at the front desk :-)

John Shanahan: We've taken our dog here for years but now the past few visits have left such a bad impression on me I'm finding a new vet.Almost no time is spent with your pet to understand the issue, its just a quick glace and some prescription. Surgery is suggested as a first line option for even minor things. The cost is ridiculous compared to other vets in the area, we only came back here because they had his history on file but that's not enough to keep us coming back now. They won't send our prescriptions to our pharmacy.
James Womble: Dr Rusniak and staff are caring and very professional. They discuss test and treatment options as cost can sometimes play a role in how much to do for a pet. Their office seems like a place where they know your pet , not a big corporate Banfield type place. We are now on our second golden retriever with them and appreciate all they do.
Toni Jabson: First time meeting Dr. Foster as covid prevented me going in with my dog and only brought him in for annuals and vaccines. This time he was having some issues She was very thorough and explained all that we need to do. The rest of the staff is always kind and professional.

We have been going to Dr. Bristol now for twelve years and appreciate all of her knowledge and guidance. Zoe is a healthy senior cat.

S. Adams: I live in Raleigh but Mayfair was recommended to me by two people, when my Persian developed an acute case of Flea Allergy Dermatitis and my current vet was not solving the problem. I've been extremely pleased with the vets and staff since 1981, and wouldn't consider anyone else. The care and compassion is unmatched, as I have said "Goodbye" to several pets over the years. When a difficult decision must be made I often ask, "What would you do if it were your pet?" I want the best care possible for my companions and I get it from Mayfair. Any medical practice can experience emergencies which push back appointments upon occasion, so I've learned to bring reading material. I prefer quality over speed, if that is the choice, in all areas of my life. I love you, Mayfair.

Pepe Rencurrell: Not too friendly. I called and spoke to a receptionist about the grooming salon in the building and she wasn't helpful at all. She took my name down and told me she was going to relay the message to the groomer to call me back, and never heard from them again. She sounded like I was bothering her. Not too nice!!
Mike Kaiser: They are prompt, very friendly to the animals and their customers. They take time to explain things and answer all your questions.
jian hu: When you order medicine online not from this hospital, they will not reply to them. So that you have to go there again to pick up a hardcopy of the prescription and then mail to the seller. It's very inconvenient. I would not go there at the first place if I know this.

sweet bee: We absolutely love this vet. They were very knowledgeable, affordable, super gentle and friendly with our dog, and really had a way of putting us and our dog at ease. I asked them if they would be able to explain possible costs of a procedure our dog may need in the future and they went ahead and sent a detailed cost estimate to my email, and at no point did they attempt to sell anything to us or surprise us with random charges. Our old vet always tried to sell us stuff and we’d always leave with a massive bill. I drove about an hour to animal kingdom because from the reviews they seemed like a better option and I was so right. We will definitely be returning. Worth the hour drive for sure.
Renegade RC: I'm a "Bun dad". I have a Netherland Dwarf rabbit that is like a child to me.Finding a veterinarian that will take care of him AND also one that I can actually trust has been incredibly hard.Animal Kingdom helped me nurse my little guy to health when he battled E. Cuniculi.I am certain that had I not chosen to take him to this animal hospital, he wouldn't have survived.Feel safe in utilizing this amazing facility and all of the staff. I believe you'd be hard pressed to find a better veterinarian in the area.Take it from Gizmo...They are awesome!

Galactal General: Amazing! I was scrambling to find a vet that sees gerbils and not only did this vet see gerbils but they had probably the best pricing I've seen in a long time. I came in for my youngest cat's pre-neuter check-up.I recently moved back to the Triangle after a few years on the rural coast, where vet care was super affordable and the vet I saw was thorough, although lacked a little "tableside" manner (we all know there are some MD's that just can't stand when their patient knows more than they do!)I'm very involved in all my pets' health and have done hours of research when they've had issues before. I don't try to pretend I'm a vet, but it's nice when the veterinarian is patient and appreciates your input as the animal's caregiver. This is definitely what I experienced here!Doc was calm, knowledgeable, listened, took her time and did great with my little scaredy boy. Techs were upbeat, helpful and timely. Even our experience with the clinic kitty was just delightful! Prices are very reasonable ($170 for a neuter instead of $500 at other clinics just across town!).Animal Kingdom is absolutely my new vet clinic for all my babies!

Doneva Garcia: My dog has been a patient there since we moved here in early 2021. I had really good experiences at first, but this year has been really disappointing. My dog has severe anxiety and has to be sedated for any level of grooming. I cannot clean her face or paws without her snapping at or biting me. So I have been taking her here for grooming. This year every time I have tried to get an appointment, it's two months out! I just called today, and there's no appointment till September. I've had it. I don't know if this is an area-wide issue. I did try to call other vets earlier this year when I couldn't get in at Animal Kingdom. But apparently, there is a big demand for groomers who will do grooming while pet is sedated. Well, I'm going to try because this is part of having a good, reliable vet.
K: Our cat needed surgery and before coming here, we went to our local vet and they quoted us an insane bill so we sought after a second opinion and came here. They didn’t have all the unnecessary fees of the original vet and we were given a reasonable quote. Staff was very kind and answered our numerous calls about instructions, food, medicine, etc. Our kitty is back to normal and seems happier than ever :) Thank you so much!
A Pal: We've been using Animal Kingdom since 2018. Even after moving out of Cary, we still drive from Raleigh because they are so good with our dogs and we don't trust just anyone with them. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, truly grateful for the care they've given our pets.
M.T. Scott: Unreliable and unprofessional. This is an office that appears to have taken on much more than it can deliver. Two times I have had an appointment for grooming that did not go off as planned because the one groomer they have was out sick. This 2nd cancellation was incredibly disruptive and disappointing. I had the appointment for months, could not get an appointment elsewhere on short notice, and it has screwed up our plans for a trip. The office person responded by stating how busy they are, they are only "1" person, the groomer has covid (last time it was something else), and similar statements. This is unprofessional. Bottom line: If you cannot reliably perform services you advertise as offering, then stop taking appointments for them. If you can only hire 1 groomer, then stop the service altogether as you know continuing to offer this service will ultimately harm customers when the one person gets sick, as has now happened both times in our case. There is a reason that many (if not most) vets don't offer grooming, maybe you should consider following their business model and offer only those services that you can consistently deliver on. Extremely disappointed.

Jacinta Bratcher: I brought my pitbull there for an extreme ear infection/throwing up and diarrhea for the first time since my vet at Northwoods Vet Hospital in Cary wasn't able to get me in on an emergency visit. They were awesome to the point that I've switched vets now. They also do pet grooming their as well. I made an appointment for that service for both of my dogs next week!
