BB: I have lived in south Korea for over 30 years and have eaten many different types of chicken. This is the worst chicken I've ever had. The lack of sauce on chicken and strong chicken smell, and the sauce only tastes like pepper and curry. I doubt if this is really Korean style chicken. $14 for 8 pieces is by no means a small amount.

NK: Every time I have ordered fried chicken from here, it has been fine. It’s crispy and the supreme sauce is good.It’s consistent and I like how it stays crispy for a while. She also poke holes in the container so it doesn’t get soggy.

They are ranked No. 1 for a reason. After 1 bite I through Soo Carolina Chicken in the trash. I wouldn't let my dog eat it! They place sauce on it for a reason. To hide the fact that it's terrible and bland! That's not Korean chicken. Just Koreans cooking it!

Kira A: This is the worst Korean Fried Chicken I ever had in my life! Soo Cafe's quality has really fallen since they moved in to H-mart. Too bad all the non-Koreans (AND native Koreans) are getting tricked to buy these, and thinking it's the same thing as the actual KFC back in Korea. Third time ordering with over-fried/burnt meat. The fried skin tastes like crunching on burnt chewy cardboard and little to no meat is too chewy being overcooked. It's sad one has to comment even on the sauce, but it's way too runny, losing flavor in the actual meat. This is nothing like the authentic KFC, not even close. Save your stomach and money. Coming from a Korean.

I’m not a huge fan of fried chicken but I’ve been craving Soo’s Carolina Chicken about everyday this week after trying it. I highly recommend the Soopreme sauce options and I found the spice levels to be absolutely perfect where it’s just the right amount of spice (enjoyable) but not painfully so for the sake of it. Expect about a 10-15 minute wait time.

I do wish I had gotten it in combination with the spicy sauce, because the soga isn’t super spicy, but it was still really good.It did take us a bit to find since we’re not local, it’s inside the H mart.

Every time we find ourselves out East, we made sure to stop in and get our fill. Well, now we have a branch right here on the West side and I am thrilled. I got the grilled chicken salad and got him the chicken nugget meal. The fry oil was very old, they only give one sauce and it seems to have shrunk in size, the lemonade cup was 90% ice, they forgot the honey mustard for our salad, and the kid at the register was on his phone, zoned out, when I went inside to get a replacement.All in all it feels like they are cutting as many corners as they possibly can. Stretching oil further than it should go, skimping on quantity, and hiring as cheaply as they can. Definitely not what I would call quality.

I Love Jellyfish: I have been to KFC multiple times but this location has been outstanding. When I and my family first stepped into the building the workers all gave us a warm welcome and quickly showed us around and started us with all the popular and delicious starters. We had the creamy mashes potatoes and the fresh veggies. When I took my first spoonful of the mashed potatoes i felt a creamy and heavenly sensation. I felt like I was floating on the clouds because of how nice and smooth the texture was. The veggies were nice and crispy and fresh; we had carrots and brussel sprouts and I couldn't even tell if the veggies were from a corner shop or a farm because they tasted so fresh. Next, we had the chicken drumsticks we ordered a pretty hefty amount of chicken considering we had a party of 12 that day. (I recommend making a reservation about a day in advance just to make sure that the dining room is not packed.) The chicken was nice and hot, steamy and crunchy. All the flavors just bursted into my mouth and all the savory juices rushed down my throat. I had about 4 pieces of chicken before gulping down an apple juice. To finish this magical and enchanted experience we finished with a nice and perfectly chocolatey brownie.

Shane Armstrong: Just plain nasty. I rarely go here because I’ve had really rude interactions with the manager here in the past as have many people I’ve spoken to. I’ve even seen her tell an upset customer to leave who wasn’t even being irate. It’s been a while and I thought maybe she’s gone so it was worth trying again. Boy was I wrong. I didn’t see that manager this time, so I don’t know if she’s still there, but the food was really nasty. My wife got the correct order, but her food was stale and chewy. We primarily went because I wanted to try the new Mac and cheese bowl. Instead I received a mash potato bowl, which I didn’t know until we got home. I tried to eat it anyway, but it was completely gross. The chicken pieces were so old and chewy that I couldn’t eat them. The mash potato and corn mixture tasted like a cross between chemicals and spoiled corn. I’m still wondering if I’m going to get food poisoning before the night is over. I definitely will not return here. If I do get another craving for a KFC dish, I’ll make the drive to Apex to the one near Beaver Creek. It’s nothing stellar, but for KFC, it’s decent and the food is much fresher. Hard pass on the Harrison Ave location. Go next door to Zaxby’s instead.
