Drew Hardin: Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful and compassionate staff at Wake Funeral & Cremation Services. This was a very difficult time for my family with the loss of our father but Brad, Caitlyn and the entire Team were accommodating and supportive through the entire process. The gentleman that arrived at our home to transport my father were prompt and professional. The communication was exceptional and Caitlyn accommodated our requests to divide my father’s ashes for his children and grandchildren. We did the memorial service at their beautiful mausoleum which was organized and managed perfectly by Brad. Our experience was exceptional and I highly recommend partnering with Wake Funeral & Cremation Services.
Helen Yuen: Our family was so lucky to work with Sarah Bammel as our funeral director. She's everything you'd want in one. She was professional, caring, and knowledgeable at a very sensitive time. She also went the extra mile, giving me updates after business hours and on the weekends on the progress of our arrangements. She worked tirelessly in the background to make sure everything was lovely for my sister's Celebration of Life. You'll feel taken care of, too. A shout out also to Caitlin, who was also professional and delivered on our requests. Finally, the services we used were reasonably priced. A big thank you!

Kia: I had a project for a supply chain management class at my university to study and map the entire process of a loved one passing away. I called and explained the situation to one of the managers and he was nice enough to schedule a phone interview with me the very next day. Brad spoke with me for over an hour and 15 minutes explaining and answering all of my questions regarding the entire process of death and cremation in north carolina and gave me 4 full double spaced pages of notes to work with for completing my project. From everything he told me this company seems extremely genuine and honest while having some of the best prices in the area due to the various ways they have been able to cut out overhead that the other guys haven't achieved. C.E. Willie Funeral & Cremation Services: what do users think?
Lisa Roberson: Great Business.
midoriya master: Bounces checks to contractors and will not respond to correct any issues. Makes me question how he handles services
Clapping Hands Farm: CE Willie helped me transport my fathers body to UNC for body donation. It was a very very good experience. First of all, when you call, you end up talking to CE Willie himself. It is truly a family owned business. And although he has a team working with him, he chooses to be present for all aspects of serving his customers.. He is a retired school principal and explains things in a warm, down to earth, easy to understand manner. He is respectful and kind and seems to be in it to serve. To be honest some of my conversations with other funeral services in the area felt like they were not giving me all the information I needed to make good decisions and it felt like they were doing it mostly for the money and trying to make as much money as possible. My experience was that CE Willie was fair, compassionate, and ethical in the way he runs his business.

Brown-Wynne Funeral Home: what do users think?
Mike Streicker: Very caring and thorough.
Basketball Jones: Brown-Wynne and their parent company, Dignity Memorial seems to think it's a great idea to send marketing texts to your cell phone without your approval. Once you call and voice your complaints, they'll apologize and promise that it won't happen again. Then a month later, you'll receive more marketing junk texts from them, begging for reviews... all without your approval and with a failed promise that it will never happen again. How disgusting it truly is to market goods and services, and solicit reviews to people who just lost a loved one and ALREADY paid for a service! My family has been using Brown-Wynne funeral homes since the 90s. Tens of thousands of dollars has been spent using their services with several family members' funerals over the years. Their marketing department's decision to spam it's "valued" customers has caused us to look elsewhere for all future mortuary/funeral needs.
Tammy Russ: The staff at Brown Wynne were very responsive and were able to help us get my husband’s service arranged quickly. The only reason I didn’t rate them 5 stars is because the creation of the obituary for their site was not easy to use. It is a difficult time to get through and they were very helpful and kind to our family. I would highly recommend them.
Kumari Verghese: From the first call and all the way through the service and beyond ,Brown Wynn of Cary stuck with our family. Kind, compassionate and caring every step of the process. They provided efficient and prompt and responsible and respectful service during the most painful of our family’s time- saving goodbye to our beloved husband/ father/ grandfather/sibling and friend..Our grateful hearts thank Brown Wynn and especially Mr. Eric Lemon for your outstanding, compassionate services. From the family of :-( Late) Mr. Chacko P Verghese
Sarah Bush: Our family has appreciated the kind support and efficient service from Brown-Wynne Funeral during the loss of both of our parents. They helped make our transition as smooth as possible. We highly recommend their services! .
Rebecca Balderas: They were professional and so kind as I planned my father’s funeral after his sudden passing. They responded quickly to my many emails and were very helpful.
Jennifer Stephenson Williams: Brown-Wynne took care of my father in 2001 and helped provide a lovely service. We returned in 2022 when my mother died at home. They were quick to respond, and they again exceeded our expectations. This long-time Cary business is a valuable part of our community.
Charlie Buckner: Ridiculously expensive!
Arlene Lang: Brown-Wynn’s Funeral Home managed the funeral and all the details beautifully. I want to thank you for helping us during this most painful time.
James Wetterau: Their counselor Amy Branch was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping with my plans.
Elaine Rose: Brown-Wynne was helpful, comforting, and professional from the moment they took my loved one into their care until they returned their remains. We are the 3rd generation to use their services. They are that good.
Amelia Abrams: Very Knowledgeable and did not rush for decisions on pre planning contract. walked me through every step of contract.
Dan Carro: On-time appointment.Good explanation of all the services.
Clifton Rhodes: The staff member we met with was very personable, knowledgeable, and explained everything in detail. Together we were able to make the right choices for our pre-arrangements. It was a very pleasant experience!
Rochelle Havert: I was overwhelmed by details after my husband’s death when I called Dignity Memorial. Eric Lemons, the manager, called me back immediately, helped me manage the newspaper notices, and even set up a web page for a more in-depth obituary, announcements and remembrances. His explanations were clear, his information was comprehensive, his discussion of costs was transparent, but more importantly, I felt entirely comfortable leaving things in his hands. Compassionate, supportive and excellent are the best words to describe my experience.
Karen Boat: Highly professional, courteous and most importantly, extremely compassionate staff. Highly recommend this company.
John Landsiedel: Eric & staff were professional, attentive & very considerate during a difficult time for my family.
Panowork.com魔鬼哥哥: Brown-Wynne Funeral Home did an amazing job for my father that passed away. They were so pleasant to work with, always responded and they are truly great people.
Ellen Waff: The staff were very supportive and warm. All arrangements were completed by telephone and email, so no visit to their facility or face-to-face meeting was required in this time of COVID. The ashes and legal papers were delivered to my home by another empathetic staff person. Our experience could not have been better, frankly. We are grateful.
Donald McSwain: While it is never a situation that you would look forward to needing funeral services, the staff made the planning as painless as possible. They were very helpful and accommodating and from start to finish it was a smooth process. They were compassionate and supportive and made each step manageable.
Sandy Smith: The staff at Brown Wynn in Cary surpassed all expectations possible. They were very professional but so compassionate at the same time. They were extremely professional from the time my Aunt's body was removed my the home until her burial. The Reverend Sansbury was excellent. The family was very pleased all around. Thank you for taking such excellent care on my dear Aunt.

Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home and Cremation Service: what do users think?
Tegan George: Words cannot express how grateful we are to Andy. We lost our dad suddenly and were at a total loss about what to do. Andy’s calm and compassionate nature was a godsend during this overwhelming time. He helped us with all the arrangements and decisions and truly went above and beyond in every way. The grounds where the funeral home is located are serene and peaceful. As someone else said, if we could give a million stars, we would. Thank you so much to Andy and the team, truly a blessing to those grieving.
Andrew McCusker: We recently lost our mother and it was very important that we honored her with services that reflected how amazing she was. Andy and his team at Clancy Strickland Wheeler helped us make that happen. From the moment of her passing, Andy was there to guide us through all of the steps involved in this otherwise very overwhelming process. He and his team were kind, attentive, and professional. Andy was always very responsive via phone/email; he provided invaluable advice and recommendations; and he coordinated with the relevant vendors and church to ensure all of the services were conducted in a manner that was timely, organized, and aligned with our wishes. The Funeral Home, where we held the visitation, is a beautiful building, with a layout that feels clean and open and is tastefully arranged and decorated. Andy and his team helped us to present a gorgeous slideshow and fill the space with many pictures and flowers. We couldn't have asked for a better space in which to honor our mother. The next day, Andy and his team transported all of the relevant items to the church for the service -- which they were instrumental in coordinating -- and afterward, to the space where we held the reception. Following the services, Andy followed-up with us to facilitate the remaining tasks we had to complete.Overall, I highly recommend Clancy Strickland Wheeler without reservation. There is not a negative thing I could say about the services they provided. They were exceptional. We feel very lucky that we were able to work with them; I can't imagine how difficult this process would have been otherwise.
Gerrod Speer: With the passing of my father recently I was left with all of the decisions, paperwork and legwork for his funeral services. We happen to live very close to this funeral home so we checked the reviews and made the decision to go with Clancy Strickland and Wheeler.Hands down, best decision we could have made. Andy Wheeler and his staff not only showed extreme compassion and patience, but they were very knowledgeable about the process and took so much off of my plate, at a very difficult time.My father is a Vietnam Vet with the U.S. Marines and Andy handled all of the processes for proper burial in a National Cemetery, including a Veterans ceremony.Death is a hard time for everyone involved but having people like Andy and his staff to walk you through it is priceless. They actually made a funeral experience a very positive and encouraging time for our family. We are so very grateful to the staff at Clancy Strickland and Wheeler and would recommend Andy and his staff to anyone going through this hard time!Andy…our family deeply thanks you all for your time, care, attention to detail and friendship.
Robyn Keys: It was with great luck that settled on CSW Funeral Home for our family's loss. Andy, and his whole staff, were an absolute blessing. They were honest and compassionate, flexible and very reasonably priced. They went above and beyond for my family and we are eternally grateful. I want to say thank you to Andy again, especially, as he was so personable and truly invaluable during this process.
Kathy Rose: A place of compassion and integrity. Andy and the entire staff go above and beyond to make each step of the planning process go smoothly. Every question was answered promptly. I would absolutley recommend this funeral home.
David Wheeler: Andy is of no relation to me but he becomes a family member of each client with his character, compassion and integrity displayed while working with families at such a difficult time. My mother in law passed in NC and we were in Florida unable to leave for several days but Andy took care of everything with just a phone call and a few emails. Every step of the process they far exceeded our expectations. Once we were in NC, Andy made himself available whenever we needed. My wife had to meet with him without me one time, and like a true gentleman, he walked her to the car. We've dealt with several other funeral homes in the area over the years, but none compare to CSW.
m cristinziano: Andy and Laurie at Clancy Strickland Wheeler Funeral Home were so helpful and compassionate during this difficult time of losing my mother in law. They showed such patience and genuine caring as they walked us through every step of planning. We will truly always be grateful for their help and we definitely recommend them.
Jennifer Grosick: I wish I had a million stars because Andy and Laurie would get every single one of them. My neice and her husband suddenly lost their 7 month old baby girl Madalynn. Andy's compassion and guidance were such a blessing. For 2 young adults not knowing much about this part of life he answered every question, accommodated every request and delivered every last detail. I am truly and eternally grateful to Andy and Laurie not only for the what they did but more importantly WHO they are.
Chuck Grosick: They did a wonderful job for my great grandaughter's funeral. Their service was better than first class
catherine clifton: Andy Wheeler was Amazing! The whole team was! We just buried my Mom and I can't say enough about the care we received at CSW!! Warm, friendly, compassionate, caring, informative, reasonable prices, all around great people! Thank you CSW for a lovely place and easy transition for my Mom.
Hope Keith: Andy, Laurie and their staff were so compassionate and thoughtful during the loss of my sweet husband Jimmy. They went above and beyond expectations, helping me get through this sorrowful time.
Scott Moore: We were beyond happy with the service, compassion, and care that Andy and his team provided following my mother's death. I can't possibly list all the great things that they did to remove the stress and challenges that can go along with a funeral service. Andy went out of his way to make sure that had everything that we needed. The attention to detail and consistency with everything was just tremendous. Andy and his team were very familiar with our personal religious requirements/accommodations and made sure that we were always comfortable with everything before any action was taken. And to top it all off, they had the best prices in town. I completely, totally, and emphatically recommend Clancy Strickland and Wheeler to help you during your funeral planning so that you can focus on family.
Amanda Ruiz: Andy provided exceptional service, compassion, and professionalism during the funeral planning process for my Grandmother last month. He made every aspect of this procress as stress free as it could have possibly been. I told him what I wanted, and he made every bit of it happen, and within our budget. I've dealth with another well known funeral home in the Wake Forest area, and was not nearly as at ease, as I was with Clancy Strickland Wheeler. Thank You for making such an emotional time in my life, a lot less hectic.~ Amanda Upchurch
Linda Banks: Andy Wheeler handled the arrangements for my family after my mother's passing. We really appreciated Andy's compassion and professionalism. He truly went above and beyond in taking care of all the details. The services provided were top notch, and as an added bonus, much more affordable than the other funeral homes in the area.Additionally, the location (the old Crenshaw Hall Plantation) is lovely and very peaceful. The spacious grounds are a wonderful place for quiet reflection. We highly recommend Clancy, Strickland and Wheeler to anyone looking for funeral services and arrangements in the Wake Forest area.
Karen Gilbert: We were very happy with Andy Wheeler's assistance and guidance following our husband's/father's death. Andy helped us not only with cremation arrangements but also with other items such as notifying the VA, SSA, and the funeral service at St. Catherine's. We highly recommend CSW for their caring and personal approach. The family of Robert (Bob) Keller
Alice Pahl: Andy and his wife Laurie Wheeler made our whole experience comfortable and did everything to help us with decisions and making them come true. They were with us the whole step of the way!I buried my Dad some years ago through another place and did not have any of these experiences. They made our experience a wonderful and loving day!
Sherri Dunn: Outstanding! Andy, his wife and team were wonderful during such an overwhelming time for us. They were very helpful in all aspects of preparation through burial of my mom. The minute we walked in we loved the environment of the historical plantation house and knew it was the perfect choice for our moms service. Andy was more than accommodating to our hectic schedule and went out of his way to be helpful and conscientous. This being the second funeral I have had to plan, this one went so much smoother and easier than the first thanks to Andy. At a very difficult time in my life, this was a beautiful setting for my mom's final farewell. Thank you to Andy and all that helped to create a wonderful funeral.

They were very flexible with respect to the timing of the services given our time frame. City of Oaks Funeral Home & Cremations: what do users think?
Rico Beasley - Mungin: I’ve been by City of Oaks a few times. Each time I’ve gotten to speak with Mr. Edward directly and he (and his staff) have been nothing but warm, encouraging, and inspiring. He is one of the reasons I kept going to obtain my funeral director’s license. Thank you!
Sarah Holland: Jessica was warm and supportive for our family as we lost our sweet grandmother and mother. City of Oaks is a professional, positive atmosphere and we are grateful they made the celebration of her life a TRUE celebration.
Sharon Skrinjaric: My son unexpectedly passed away and we got a referral for City of Oaks from a friend of my son’s partner. Jessica was so nice, compassionate, and helpful during this trying time. Hopefully you won’t need them but if you do I highly recommend them.
Kelly Smith: A good choice for your loved ones. Despite the sadness of losing someone you love, City of Oaks made it much easier than expected. When our mother died unexpectedly we called City of Oaks. They were professional and timely. When our father was placed in hospice care we contacted City of Oaks in advance. They assured us they would be there and our father's body was taken from the nursing home in less than an hour. The drive was at least 45 minutes. The process of cremation went smoothly both times. After the death of my second parent, I regretted not keeping some ashes for myself in a small container. I called City of Oaks and Jessica instructed me to bring the box containing my mother and they would remove a small amount of ashes as they prepared the ashes from my father's death. The entire process took no more than 10 minutes. I asked her if that was a strange request. She assured me that there were no strange requests from their perspective. A year later I needed a copy of the receipt for estate planning. One call and Jessica sent it over immediately. I give them 5 plus stars. I could not have asked for a better experience. They are true professionals!
Amber: I used City of Oaks when I unexpectedly lost my dad by recommendation from my Pastor. As his next of kin, it was one of the first times I said the that he had died out loud so it was very difficult, but I can't imaging having a kinder, more professional person on the other end of the phone ready to guide me. I will never forget that. They were compassionate, respectful, and reasonably priced. I had no idea what I was doing, but they were easy to work with - everything I needed was taken care of and it was a smooth process. The recommendation to this place was a blessing for me and I hope this will help pay that forward.
C Bailes: Death is hard....and sometimes you just aren't ready..i know because i wasn't.City of oaks was there to help guide..not push..me when i was totally lost. I am eternally grateful for the patient, kind and caring lady that helped me through it all. She heard me, even through my silence. She answered all my questions even when i asked the same ones again. Some places seem to care more about your wallet than your heart or loved one. Not here, they protected my wallet AND reassured me they cared about not only me, but my loved one too. I highly highly recommend this place.
Michelle Heape: Really unhappy with the customer service from the flower department.I placed an order and got a confirmation email at 9:15am this morning for a same day delivery. Then I get a call at 1:06pm saying that my payment didn’t go through. I told them my card info again, didn’t go through. Tried 3 different bank accounts and nothing. Called my banks to see what was going on. Nothing was wrong with any of my bank accounts. The banks didn’t even see any declined transactions. Obviously it is City of Oaks outdated system. The issue, however, was the woman’s attitude (the second person I spoke to) and the fact that she rudely told me that he flowers were not going to be delivered today anymore even if we got the payment issue resolved because the “drivers already left”…. I ordered flowers at 9am then didn’t get a call from them until after 1pm. Super unreliable and rude. I would stay away from ordering flowers from here. You would think they would be nicer to their customers, especially those going through the loss of a loved one. And even more so when the problem was their system and not the customer’s. She didn’t even apologize.I hate to leave a bad review but I would hate for someone else to go through this too.
Randy Brody: Very peaceful and respectful employees. Amazing on every level. Including during pandemic problems with distancing. Best I've ever seen and experienced.
Marina Karmanova: Thank you for the service you provided for my father's funeral. Since the very first call to the funeral home the staff made us feel like my father was "The ONLY" client there not "ONE OF THEM". The staff was very attentive and compassionate. They never tried to sell us any extra bells and whistles and they were very respectful to our requests and wishes. Special "THANK YOU" to Chris, who made this experience as smooth as possible from the time we met him on the first day. Chris was very polite and listened to every single detail and request that we wanted to include into my father's service: he did his best remembering all of the details of how we would like him to be dressed and even little ritual that we wanted to be done at the cemetery at the time of burial! MOREOVER he fulfilled ALL OF THEM!I really enjoyed and appreciate the fact that Chris let us have our space during the entire experience, but yet he was always there in case we needed him!!!! Thank you Chris and entire City of Oaks staff.
Sandra Perkinson: Kind, caring, and professional. They took care of everything!
Rebecca McCabe: I highly recommend City of Oaks Cremation and cannot say enough great things about them. My mother passed away on Christmas Day. I called, Somer promptly answered and patiently gave me easy to follow next steps. Customer service was outstanding because in the background I could hear kids opening presents and she clearly forwarded the phone to take calls. She followed up with me later that day as if it was a regular workday - but made me feel like this was her biggest priority. Also, they worked with me on a few delays that had arisen and were very accommodating.
Shannon Bowers: Beyond awesome to my mom. Because of Covid there are a lot of restrictions. They said, "The night she passes call us." So we did. EVERYTHING we needed to know was online. The staff was wonderful. Sooner was compassionate and professional. Would highly recommend
Erika Emm: I lost my mother to breast cancer last month. My mom chose City of Oaks when she transitioned to home hospice. When my mother passed, Kelly walked me through the entire process (even working on a Saturday). I was treated with dignity and respect throughout. I highly recommend City of Oaks.
Deb Czerwiec: This is the ONLY funeral home and crematory that I recommend for folks in the greater Raleigh area. The facility, the staff, the attitude, the availability of staff fluent in other languages...I could go on and on. Absolute best prices in our entire area and very transparent about costs and choices.
Robert Way: My mother passed away unexpectedly in April with no end of life plans in place. I was then put in a place of what to do, where to do it and how. I reached out to City of Oaks and they walked me through every step. I felt a calm of relief as I now had people to help me with this step. Everything was completed by phone and computer due to COVID-19. I was impressed with the compassion shown by staff that made them feel more like family and not a business.
Susan Arnold: We did not have a formal service due to Covid (I'm shocked by the people giving bad reviews over something City of Oaks can't control). I was very pleased with the reasonable, upfront cost, the coordination of pick up from hospice and the communication about all details.Somer was very friendly and professional. She was easy to deal with and answered all my questions. Everything went smoothly.
jah Ram: Poor service and gave our family different prices
Sharon Swoboda: All I can say is I guess you get what you pay for. What a cheap outfit. In a time of sorrow for me they only added on more.
Lisa Covell: We picked up my father in laws remains today, my mother in law was to upset to do it so i went. Got home and they had him in the wrong urn... called them, they came and swapped out his ashes. How horrible. Then we realized his wedding ring and bracelet where not returned. Called them.. they completely denied them being on body even though hospice verified they where on him. I guess the driver Harey got a nice gold perk. So sad and unbelievable.
Timothy Motes: They canceled our service as people were arriving. They never conveyed any limitations as to the number of people who could attend. Now they're changing their site and blocking the negative reviews they deserve! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!
Marie Jenkins: They just don't care
