Basketball Jones: Brown-Wynne and their parent company, Dignity Memorial seems to think it's a great idea to send marketing texts to your cell phone without your approval. Once you call and voice your complaints, they'll apologize and promise that it won't happen again. Then a month later, you'll receive more marketing junk texts from them, begging for reviews... all without your approval and with a failed promise that it will never happen again. How disgusting it truly is to market goods and services, and solicit reviews to people who just lost a loved one and ALREADY paid for a service!My family has been using Brown-Wynne funeral homes since the 90s. Tens of thousands of dollars has been spent using their services with several family members' funerals over the years. Their marketing department's decision to spam it's "valued" customers has caused us to look elsewhere for all future mortuary/funeral needs.
Tammy Russ: The staff at Brown Wynne were very responsive and were able to help us get my husband’s service arranged quickly. The only reason I didn’t rate them 5 stars is because the creation of the obituary for their site was not easy to use. It is a difficult time to get through and they were very helpful and kind to our family. I would highly recommend them.

His explanations were clear, his information was comprehensive, his discussion of costs was transparent, but more importantly, I felt entirely comfortable leaving things in his hands. Compassionate, supportive and excellent are the best words to describe my experience.

I called and explained the situation to one of the managers and he was nice enough to schedule a phone interview with me the very next day. Brad spoke with me for over an hour and 15 minutes explaining and answering all of my questions regarding the entire process of death and cremation in north carolina and gave me 4 full double spaced pages of notes to work with for completing my project.From everything he told me this company seems extremely genuine and honest while having some of the best prices in the area due to the various ways they have been able to cut out overhead that the other guys haven't achieved. He asked for nothing in return and except that I get back with him about the grade I receive for my project. Highly recommend Wake Funeral and Cremation Services!!!
Cheryl Medford: My mom passed away recently. It was a very difficult time. The people at Wake Funeral and Cremation Services treated all of us like family. Everyone was kind, considerate, warm and caring. Phone calls and text messages were returned quickly, and we had a lot of them. They paid close attention to detail even when we couldn't. They helped us plan a wonder service for my mom and made recommendations that allowed us to have a beautiful service while staying within our budget. The cemetery was also very pretty and in a beautiful location. I honestly can't thank them enough.

Clapping Hands Farm: CE Willie helped me transport my fathers body to UNC for body donation. It was a very very good experience. First of all, when you call, you end up talking to CE Willie himself. It is truly a family owned business. And although he has a team working with him, he chooses to be present for all aspects of serving his customers.. He is a retired school principal and explains things in a warm, down to earth, easy to understand manner. He is respectful and kind and seems to be in it to serve.To be honest some of my conversations with other funeral services in the area felt like they were not giving me all the information I needed to make good decisions and it felt like they were doing it mostly for the money and trying to make as much money as possible.My experience was that CE Willie was fair, compassionate, and ethical in the way he runs his business.

Pricing was reasonable and we were given discounts based on services that were typically part of the package but not used such as transportation of my mom since that was handled by the tissue donation services we used. Given the difficult time we were going through the thoughtful and respectful process we had with the Apex Funeral Home was much appreciated.

EverUpward: They are very unprofessional and once they get your money you don't matter took them weeks to creamat my mother then they sent her to us in a Mary Kay box and didn't send us a death certificate so we live out of town and major inconvenience I can't settle my mother's affairs without it.
