Sunrise of Cary: what do users think?
Ruth Salvesen: After the tour at the Sunrise of Cary, my husband who will be staying there sometimes in the near future, came back home so uplift. He had a great time, got to enjoy talking with a gentleman his age that the director hooked him up with. The facility is particularly more beautiful than other Sunrises, clean, people and residents, were lively, happy. I think with Diane, the director of sales, experience, she made our tour the most welcome and the friendliest person! We love to be back there as the time comes.
Stacey Dietrich: Had a very unpleasant experience with Sunrise of Cary. Moved our 77 year old mother who has dementia into their memory care facility. Mom had a very difficult time transitioning and declined rapidly. She lost 60 pounds in 4 months; was agitated and aggressive. The staff and administration never had a solution to help her other than to pay for one on one caregivers. We moved our mother to a new facility that is loving, caring, and willing to put the extra effort in to help all the residents. Mom has gained weight, hasn’t had one episode of aggression, and ia very involved with activities, and has been discharged from hospice care.
Heather Thole: I have worked at Sunrise of Cary for over 3 years and it has been one of my favorite buildings to work at (physical therapy through Legacy). It is a very welcoming, homey, and a work-family environment. I have really enjoyed the residents and facility staff here (in addition to my Legacy team). No building is perfect, but I highly recommend this facility.
Leland Decker: This place is dangerous for your loved one!! DO NOT MOVE ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS PLACE!! Prior to his passing we moved my 89 year old father, who was suffering from a stroke as well as Alzheimer’s to this location. The staff here do not watch the residents. My father was able to get out of the building not only once but twice!!! Their “fix” to their lack of ability was to have sitters sit with him to help keep an eye out for him at a rate of $25 per hour in addition to the over $10k per month for him to reside there. Aren’t you in the business to care for the elderly?? Isn’t your memory care unit supposed to create a SECURE and safe space for the residents???? THIS PLACE SHOULD CLOSE THEIR DOORS!! THEY ARE UNABLE TO CARE FOR THEIR RESIDENTS AND CHARGE AN EXORBITANT AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR WHICH THEY DELIVER NO SECURITY!!!I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY!!
Tricia Garrett: Mom often comments on Sunrise of Cary's beautiful, homelike atmosphere and how they're feeding her too well. She can choose some alone time or to participate in fun social or exercise activities. By supporting her with a gentle routine, the skilled memory care staff have made a huge difference in her ability to retain as much independence as possible.
Beatrix Park: Very rude customer service. whoever answered the phone needs to get retrained. hung up abruptly on me & was rushing to get off the phone
JENNIFER BARATTA: What a wonderful and homelike facility. The staff there genuinely love their job and it shows. They were wonderful with my mom, I cannot thank them enough.
Emilie S: I have complete peace of mind knowing my Father receives excellent care and attention on a daily basis. He frequently remarks at how happy he is with the food. I join him for meals from time to time and can verify the food is well prepared and pleasingly presented.
Sheri Norman: My dad is so loved by his family. He has impacted so many in his 88 years. Parkinson's and dementia have brought the need for around the clock care. He spent 5 months with a skilled nursing facility that could not keep up with his care or safety. We found Brighton Gardens of St Charles, IL and from the very first conversation we knew this was the place! Compassion, care, investment not only in my dad but his family. Peace of mind, compassion, care, and dignity. He deserves this and we are so grateful for the people and care. The memory care wing is so bright and spacious, clean and looks like someone's home rather than a long-term care facility. Dad was met with "Welcome Home" when he arrived and this was just what we all needed. Thank you Brighton Gardens of St Charles for everything! Angelica, Kelly and everyone, you have been an answer to prayer. God bless all of you!
Shauna Newby: Poorly organized & very unprofessional staff , ed and bosses ! If you are looking for a place that is going too hire you for a couple days then fire you over nothing here is the place to be ! Bosses will leave you on read and won’t respond to messages & Residents have complained about food and they aren’t changing to much .
Kaitlan Williams: Unorganized & poor interviewing skills
Ant Oj (Ton): If you're looking for loved ones to be abused. This is the place!
Kim Major: I’m very disappointed with the turn over. My mother has been here for years and Serenity was amazing. She really cared and loved mom and Jennifer the ED fired her! This place is going to continue to go down. The food is horrible management never wants to help Serenity was the only person that would help out and was informative. It’s very sad how they treat their team members. You will be missed Serenity you were amazing! Your a wonderful nurse Sunrise did not deserve you.
Heather Clausen: After hiring me as a full time RN (and I specified a 40 hour work week) I was told that management "made a boo-boo" and that I would have to cut my hours. As I am supporting my family I refused to do that. They gave me no training and then proceeded to write me up for anything they could think of. They have no policies and procedures to follow and lack any organization whatsoever. They made sure it was stressful and unpleasant for me so I told them I was looking (being nice and not just quitting). For that I got a phone call the next morning for the ED and the RCD told me I was fired and that I had to be escorted into the building. I just found out that they blocked my unemployment. I had a great relationship with the residents and the other staff members. I deeply regret giving Sunrise Cary one minute of my time; they don't deserve it. Virtually everyone there was unhappy and planning to quit.
graham swift: Found them helpful and caring
Kimberly Nesbitt: If you are looking for a Community for a loved one that gives you peace of mind that there will be quality care and compassion when you can't be there then I definitely recommend Sunrise of Cary! The entire staff is efficient in listening to feedback and helping to implement changes that need to be made or help resolve any concerns. We have been very pleased!
Kat T: Friendly staff, beautiful facility.
Janet Lively: Pleasant

Chatham Commons: what do users think?
Sonya Jones: I worked for this place for not that long. I didn’t like it while I was working there. I resigned shortly after a week or three days. If I could give them no stars I would. To me it does some like an assistant living facility. It some like a nursing home.
Tester Man: The motto for this place should be "not my job". A doctor's order was ordered to get a cane for my mother. For weeks, this went unfilled, as the claim from Chatham Commons was: "We faxed the order over 3 times, but the company that fills the order claims to not have received it". I called the company MYSELF and they claimed to never have had items like canes for purchase in the first place... OK, canes are cheap, so I bought one myself. Then, at a later time, I took half of my mother's clothes down to the laundry room to be cleaned since none of the staff could bother to do it, only to have them go missing. I asked staff on several occasions about the missing clothes - no one knew anything. The staff assured me the administrator would be notified. When I spoke to her, she claimed to be 100% ignorant of the situation. I had to conduct a room to room search for my mother's clothes, only to come up empty. No one lifted a finger to help me at all. I can only conclude that the staff decided they had enough of my demented mother's bad behavior and to get back at her, threw them out. I have no proof of this, but based on how I was treated by many of the staff, this is not an unreasonable conclusion. I will say, though -- one or two members of the staff were great, personable, and were helpful, but 90% of the staff and the administration are completely incompetent and uninterested in helping my mother out at all. This is the worst facility I have ever seen. DO NOT put your loved ones in here.
Chanda Stewart: I have never been more disappointed with the unprofessionalism I've received from this facility. The initial walk through went fine. When it was time for my mother to have an in-home assessment there was no call or no show. No one had the common curtesy to call me to reschedule. Thank God I learned early on how this facility operates.
Olga Santo Tomás Monroe: I have a good friend who is living in this facility and we are very thankful for the peaceful life that this environment provides. The staff is friendly, loving and attentive. My friend says that the food is great and the activities are mediocre. The staff follows procedure very carefully and watches over the residents with dedication.

HeartFields at Cary: what do users think?
Gail Marold: While we did not ultimately choose Heartfields for my parents, my experience with McKay Valanejad in Sales at Heartfields was excellent. She carefully listened to my concerns and gave me advice that turned out to be a literal life-saver for my mother!!
Karen Boat: My parents moved into HeartFields at Cary January 1, 2021 after residing in the mountains of North Carolina for nearly 25 years. Dad was in poor health when they moved in and my mother had her own separate medical issues. I had a very short time line within which to find an assisted living facility that I felt comfortable moving my parents into in the midst of a pandemic. Thank God for McKay! She spent more than 2 hours on the phone with me during our first conversation answering the multitude of questions I had and answering every one of them leaving me feeling very comfortable even without being able to visit the facility. A few days later she took me on a virtual tour of not only the unit my parents would occupy but the rest of the facility. It was not a hard decision to make at this point. So many other facilities wanted to separate my parents into two different sections given their health concerns and Heartfields was one of two that would keep them together. Once again, I would like to reiterate how short of a time line I had and McKay was on the phone numerous times every single day getting the information she needed from the Rehab facility my father was at in the mountains so that we could move my parents in at the same time. She is nothing short of a miracle worker. She literally moved mountains. Once they were moved in, unfortunately - due to dad's poor medical state - he spent more time at the hospital than at Heartfields. The staff could not have been more helpful and responsive. Then I met China - words can not describe how amazing this woman is. She runs an extremely tight ship and holds everyone accountable in every aspect. She went out of her way many times during issues with my dad to make him comfortable and happy. There are so many others that did the same, to name a few - Freida, Brittany, Nicole, Curtis and so many others. Unfortunately dad lost the battle and his passing was handled with so much grace and dignity at Heartfields. My father was a very personable and charming person and I have never seen so many people so visibly so broken up by his passing. Heartfields residents truly become family. Moving forward we were very worried that shortly after moving in and after loosing my father, my mother would have to move to a different section of Heartfields. Thank the Dear Lord for China, McKay and Jennifer, my mother was able to stay in the same unit she and my dad occupied and is still there to this date. I could not ask for better care for my ailing parent. I can not say enough wonderful things about Heartfields. It is extremely well staffed. They are incredibly compassionate and professional. If there were more facilities like Heartfields maybe so many would not be reluctant to Assisted Living. No intentions of ever moving my mother. Love Heartfields at Cary!
Terry McNutt: Heartfields at Cary Assisted Living is an amazing, clean, and comfortable home for senior living. The staff, from admin to nursing care, go above and beyond for the seniors. My mother recently moved in under difficult circumstances, and she has been treated with tender care and empathy. China, the director of resident care, is compassionate and understanding to her needs. Heartfields at Cary Assisted Living is a clean, attractive, peaceful environment, that is easy to navigate for elderly people. It feels like a family, and the staff are always friendly and supportive - they clearly love what they do and I feel my mom is getting the best possible care! Thank you all for being so wonderful and welcoming her with open arms!
Jason Bevins: Wonderful Community and Staff. Executive Director,Jennifer and Sales Director, McKay do a great job. You can tell that they care about their community and their residents.
Ellen Mundt: I placed my mother in Heartfields several months ago and I am totally satisfied with the care she is receiving. Everyone is caring and compassionate. The staff shows that they are very concerned about her well being. The first time I went to visit I found her in an exercise class, something before now she would never even be in the room for. The activities director is wonderful, always engaging the residents. They even do manicures every Monday. I was told I could meet the group at any outing saving me from having to provide transportation for her to enjoy things outside the facility. I have attended a luau and Halloween party and can't wait for the holiday party. I really appreciate the staff's effort to be sure the family is involved in all aspects of the resident's life. I would and have recommended this facility to others.
Anne: My grandmother lived in the Memory Care unit (referred to as "BTR") at Heartfields of Cary. While she was living in the BTR, we had concerns about the amount of stimulating activities available for the memory care residents. In my experiences visiting my grandmother, I did not see any activities taking place in the BTR. This was one of the reasons that we decided to move my grandmother to a new facility. However, on my exit meeting with the Heartfields Director, she seemed to take our concerns to heart and promised change. She reassured me that she would personally ensure that residents do receive the promised activities in the future. While we did feel the amount of activities were lacking, we were pleased with the physical care provided to my grandmother by the care staff. The majority of the staff were caring and loving towards my grandmother, and a few of them have even made plans to visit my grandmother at her next assisted living facility. I would just suggest that you ask and check to ensure your loved one is participating in regular stimulating activities while living in the memory care unit.
sharon l: If you are looking for a place for your loved one, no need to look any further than Heartfields of Cary. It lives up to its 5 star reputation in every way. Moving my mother from Florida to NC was not an easy task and Heartfield staff, particularly Sarah Tirey, was very supportive and helpful. This was not just a "sales tactic" - my mother has now been there for several months and I continue to get the warm and caring support from Sarah and everyone else who works there. I could not ask for a more attentive staff for my mother - they offer her constant hugs and affection and figure out ways to keep her happy. I also like that they pay attention to detail - she is always well groomed with coordinating clothes. I'm very happy with my choice of facility and the fact that I'm willing to drive 35-40 minutes each way to visit her almost daily is testament to that.
linda clark: Heartfields has become a second home not only for my mom, but for me too. The staff is so caring and compassionate. Communication on all levels is excellent; if a request is made, I can rest assured it will be handled.
Randy Gibbs: My mother moved in here and so far it’s great. Despite a glitch on move in day, management stepped in and made it right. I left feeling like she was in good, caring hands.
Susan Mccreary: My dad has been at Heartfields Cary over one year. I feel he is in a safe and caring environment. One of the most noticeable assets is the consistent cleanliness of the building. It is comforting to know my dad is well taken care of.
Molly Picha: September 29, 2013Our family would like to thank the entire Heartfields staff for the compassionate care they extended to my mother, who passed away September, 2013. She was a resident of the memory care unit but had originally been a resident of the larger facility..The kindness and support of all the staff was superior. My entire family was treated with encouragement and warmth during my mother’s final days. Everyone was extremely understanding and patient with our questions and concerns. The medical technicians explained in detail what medications my mother was taking and the purpose they served. Actually the medical technician was the woman who called us to let me know that my husband and I should come. We live in Colorado so she wanted to allow us the time to travel. The staff had contacted Hospice to assist us in making some difficult decisions. The medical staff at Heartfields worked with Hospice to coordinate the medicines so that our mother was not in any discomfort. The cleanliness of the residents’ rooms and personal care was always very high. My husband and I commented on several occasions that my mother was constantly well cared for and her room was always clean. The staff took great care in grooming and dressing her. My mother always had her hair cut and combed and her hands and face clean. She was treated with tenderness and patience. We had seen on countless visits that the interactions between the staff and residents were always positive. Both of us were constantly in awe of the kindness and compassion the staff showed to all of them.It is a difficult and emotional decision to seek help in caring for one’s aging parents. Heartfields makes the transition much easier. Each resident is treated with respect and dignity. Up until the very last moment my mother was lovingly cared for; one staff member stayed past her scheduled shift to be with us. We were touched beyond words with her decision.Every option of my mother’s care was discussed with my family. We were totally involved in her final days. We were treated with privacy and compassion. We all felt that the staff made our final time with my mother positive and more meaningful. It is not an easy role to play and we were not sure what to expect. I know that the entire staff made us very comfortable and helped us make heartfelt but difficult choices regarding my mother’s care.We are very grateful to everyone at Heartfields. Thank you. Words cannot express how we feel about Heartfields. I felt that I must try. My husband is quite sincere in stating that we hope we experience such tenderness when we reach 89. We know now what to look for in a residential facility.Again thank you all for making this sad experience a positive and compassionate one as well. We all agree that the staff truly made a huge difference in my mother’s final years. That knowledge helped all of us through this difficult time.

Brookdale Cary: what do users think?
Madison Gunther: Not great place if your looking for an employer that is understanding when it comes to emergencies, don’t forget about the mold they have in many rooms on the ceiling but they insist it’s dirt , and the employees leave the residents unattended while they are eating which is a choking hazard as well as they allow residents to eat others food , meals are never served on time usually residents sit there and wait for an hour to hour and a half many of the girls that work they will swear at the residents they talk about the residents behind there backs it all around not a great facility I’ve definitely worked in much better places don’t let them sweat talk you looks can be deceiving this place is horrible and HR lady is a joke they should be shut down
Corrie Kennedy: Moved my mom out due to poor care. Staff changed on a monthly basis. She had severe bruising and a hematoma on both arms from a staff member. Gained 70 lbs from carbs and now suffers from back pain and high cholesterol. Personal items went missing. Poor communication from management. False advertising.
Constance Smith: The facility is beautiful to look at. The night staff is horribly LOUD.. I don't know how residents can rest with the loud talking and multiple conversations at night. I'm here for 12 hours it's hell.. You can hear the laughing and complaining of overworked staff members complaining about their daily tasks. Very unprofessional. This is a quality control issue among other things..
Heather Metour: Ray Stancil, Nigeria, Tammy, EVERYONE at Brookdale made my mom's entrance lovingly welcome! There are four beautiful courtyards and the interior is set up like an old Town.We LOVE it!
Erica Davis: Their nurses and nursing aides are rude and they do not provide the proper care and a lot of agency’s are in and out so they don’t never know anything about your love one. I will not recommend find somewhere else for your love one.
Bob Misenheimer: My sister ,Marcia, was recently placed at Brookdale in Cary. Since I live in Fort Lauderdale I had to go by other people’s recommendations. When I arrived this week I was overwhelmed at the attention and care she was receiving. I felt so relieved that all her needs were being met and she was so content. A special shout out to Lizzie,Keoachia and Nigeria for the outstanding job they are doing not only for my sister but the other residents. Her husband Bob and I are so grateful for your kindness.Sharon Scales
Rasheeda Etheredge: Nice facility. It is clean and well maintained. The staff members are kind and caring. They work hard and treat the residents with kindness and respect. I would definitely recommend.
Anita Mason: My mom has been at Brookdale Cary for over a year now. She receives excellent care and attention. Mom loves to garden in the beautiful patio area and enjoys the fitness and cooking classes. Brookdale brings in outside entertainment, such as piano and guitar players, which mom really loves. Mom is always trying to tell me how good the food is at Brookdale. The staff and caregivers are so kind and compassionate. Ray, Tammy, and several others always go above and beyond. It is an understatement to say it's difficult to watch someone you love go through the horrible disease of dementia. I am so grateful to have the wonderful people employed at Brookdale to help mom get the most out of this stage of her life with dignity. They have become like family to her and me.
Jeanne Russell: Brookdale Cary does a good job selling you on their facility but they are NOT good at actually providing the services they sell. I would NOT recommend it for any Alzheimer’s or dementia resident.
Maureen Reardon: Staff stretched thin, poor management from both nursing and admin. Better for those in the early stages of dementia, but not for those who are more advanced in disease or have mobility issues.

Spring Arbor of Cary: what do users think?
Dr. Laurie Buob, MS, DC, FASA: It is not the best or the worst place. But found out they sold me on their activity program which was not provided. My mom loved The Glade at Glenaire and I had hoped SA would provide customer service. But SA did not. My mom got worse and worse. They are understaffed and some staff were more concerned about texting etc vs spending time with the clients. I found a home where there is only 6 people and 2 staff. I moved her out. I had asked for community fee back because they sold me a bag of goods they could not provide. If I knew this I would have never put her there. Such a racquet!
Carol Fritz: Short staffed in memory care :~(((.That really is a crime to have so many residents with dementia that need care and not have enough help. The health care attendants that are there are wonderful and do their best, but they are overworked and cannot take care of all their patients.
Beth Adams: I have had the pleasure of working with the awesome team at Spring Arbor of Cary for the past 8 months. How wonderful it is to find like minded individuals whose number one goal is to provide excellent care and service to their residents. Ashley Garner & I collaborate regularly to be sure both our clients at A Better Solution and her residents are receiving the perfect level of care & support. We've had home care clients of ours who eventually need more care and Ashley and Spring Arbor of Cary are always at the very top of my list for people & senior living communities they should visit and experience. Special thanks to Jennifer Earp, Shirley Mcneil, & Lisa Lynch for being Rock Star leaders when it comes to setting the bar high for care & service at Spring Arbor of Cary. I highly recommend this community for you & your loved ones.
Patty Reichmeider: Our loved one has been here for just a short time but our experience here was very positive. The staff has been very kind, supportive, and available. They have unending patience with the residents. Our loved one was a very picky eater at home but has eaten things here that she hasn't eaten in a decade! She has enjoyed the food, company, activities and staff. Thank you, Spring Arbor!
Sarah Frankland: We moved my neighbor into Spring Arbor after having a terrible fall, a month at the hospital, and 3 weeks of rehab. They have been beyond helpful for her and for us with all the logistics. John goes above and beyond to help us with things that we need for her. He has been absolutely amazing! The staff is all so friendly and helpful. They really take the time to get to know and interact with all of the residents. Our neighbor has been especially happy with the physical therapists here. They encourage her and make her feel good about her progress. Thanks to them she is able to walk almost without a walker. This place has been amazing for her! It is a bit expensive, but the cheapest that we were able to find in Cary.
Jeanette Cooper: Spring Arbor of Cary is a very caring Assisted Living community. The Staff and workers go out of their way to make the residents feel at home.
Sheila Littlefield: The staff have gone above and beyond expectations during this recent pandemic. The planning and work of everyone has kept the cases of Covid 19 to a minimum and there has not been spread among residents. Although there has been restrictions in visitation and outside trips, this has kept the residents safe. They have instituted a program of vaccination that is systematic and will insure that all staff and residents have received the vaccine.I know of other facilities that provide memory care and none of them have the weekly activities, ongoing care, and personalized services that Spring Arbor provides.
Kerry Hughes: We had to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives placing my father into a memory Care unit. Ultimately, it was the right decision for the place he was at with Alzheimer's. Spring Arbor assured us they were equipped to handle any situation. Please note, you really only speak with sales folks that have nothing to do with direct care. Spring arbor looks lovely and when we moved my father in, it had a wonderful director that was hands on and helped bridge gaps. Debbie Hart took over last June and it has been a nightmare since. Her direct quote "although spring arbor looks asthetically pleasing, we are not equipped to deal with many of our residents therapeutic needs of those individuals" it is so difficult to make this sort of decision for your loved one and I hope this review helps. Too often you don't truly know what the facility has to offer before you are moved in. Pay attention to the smells and how the residents look and are taken care of. Especially the male patients. Visit throughout the day. All the activities they list- I rarely ever saw any of those occuring. It is dark and quiet. Staff often sitting in chairs on their phones. My father hadn't been shaved in months after having care plan meeting after care plan meeting. And he is very functional and independentLook at the food as well and accomodations of all the residents. We just moved my father out of state to a facility I am so thrilled.with. We really didn't know how bad this situation was until we moved.him out. I hope this helps at least one other family. Best of luck on this hard endeveor. There is good care. Keep looking.
Alison Eyth: It's a beautiful building. My mother-in-law is very happy there. They take good care of the residents.

Waltonwood Cary Parkway: what do users think?
Amy Buchan _ Staff - Substitute: The staff at Waltonwood has provided top notch care for my mom since she moved into Memory Care in August 2022. They consistently communicate with the families of residents to keep us updated on the day to day happenings & events on site. The caregivers show kindness & patience with residents as they attend to each individual’s specific needs. The various activities, programs, & outings offered to residents are engaging and fun! In addition, the staff members take time to get to know the residents’ family members and genuinely strive to support us as we navigate a “new normal” for our loved ones.
Ashleigh Wood: I have worked at Waltonwood for about 6 months. It has been a wonderful place to work with wonderful staff and residents. I enjoy being able to provide engagement and activities for our residents! :)
Dee D: Waltonwood Cary Parkway is a beautiful community filled with lots of love and laughter. As an employee of 11 years I would say Signh is a great company to work for!
Tina Forsythe: I watched Waltonwood Cary start from the ground up and 13+ years later I can honestly say I can not picture myself working anywhere else. The residents/family have become my family. I love all of them with all my heart. I am looking forward to seeing what great things 2023 will bring for them and the associates of Waltonwood.
R. Renswop: My mother was kicked out of this facility with NO NOTICE, this was a blatant violation of the contract. I would not recommend this place to anyone ! Its a little late for me to discuss what happened. I stand by what I said, its FACT !
Kaitlyn Duffy: I’ve worked at Waltonwood for the past 2 years. It’s been a wonderful experience learning and growing with the waltonwood family. I absolutely love planning programs for our amazing residents. Waltonwood does a great job at taking care of their residents. I’m very grateful and proud to be apart of such a great team
Peggy Boothe: I have worked at Waltonwood Cary Parkway for 9 years. Prior to moving to North Carolina I was in Mortgage Department with a Bank in Jacksonville, Florida. After being a vet assistant, I was looking for a place to call Home and I found Cary. I came for an interview at WW and fell in love. Everyone was so nice, residents, other staff and the managers. Over the past 9 years I have gained a whole new family. Come to Waltonwood and you will not be disappointed.
Mark Curran: My father was a resident at Waltonwood Cary Parkway for just over a year. I always found the staff and residents to be open, friendly and helpful when needed. I would recommend Waltonwood to anyone who is looking for a high quality senior living facility for themselves or a loved one.
Donna Walmsley: I have mixed feelings about WW. There are a few caregivers and med techs that are wonderful. The food on the AL side is hit or miss. Undercooked meat and vegetables and they don't pay attention to what is checked on the menus. My mom is diabetic but would received a sandwich on bread and french fries (carbs and carbs).Recently, we moved my mother out on 11/25 and 11/26 but left things to be picked up on 11/28. On 11/28 we returned to the apartment to find it unlocked. Upon entering we noticed things were missing: kitchen side table, cooler, television, rollator, wrapping paper, step stool, kitchen trash can, laundry basket and clothes had been taken out of the laundry basket and throw on top of a box of plants and the shredding machine had been kicked over and shredded papers were all over the floorWe reported all of this to one of the managers who was sitting at the front desk. She said she'd let the other manager know and they would pull the cameras. A third manager and maintenance supervisor met us in the hallway and when we went back in the apartment all of the items had been returned. Maintenance said there had been a misunderstanding between a caregiver and a housekeeper. The caregiver used her key and let herself and the housekeeper in the apartment. The caregiver took it upon her authority to say that everything left in there was trash and she could take what she wanted. I let them know that THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! The apartment belonged to and was paid for by my parents until November 30. No one should have been in there for any reason. There was no one in there that needed to be cared for and a caregiver should not have been allowed to let herself in.This is a case of trespassing and stealing/looting/thievery. We have considering filing charges with the police. This should never have happened. My mother was grieving the loss of her husband, planning a funeral, moving to a new location and now having to deal with the thought of being robbed.Though we are thankful everything was returned (that we know of), we hope that the appropriate action has been taken to make sure this caregiver is aware of her wrongdoing and has been reprimanded/put on leave/or best, fired. I hope this is not a pattern and that this hasn't happened to other residents when they leave.
rachel duffy: Waltonwood is a top notch community. It was very clean and well taken cared for. I had a fantastic experience when visiting!
Danielle Laurent: Waltonwood is an excellent senior living community. I have worked for the Legacy within the Waltonwood Cary Parkway community for 3 and a half years. Waltonwood always puts the residents first, has excellent activities and food and welcomes everyone with open arms. The staff is always helpful and wants the best for the residents. I would highly recommend to anyone in the Triangle area looking to move a loved one here!
Billy Duffy: Waltonwood does a fantastic job with their community. The food menu offer a great variety and the residents really love the action stations.
Brandon Trimyer: My wife and I are the owners of the local Duck Donuts locations, with our very first in Cary. In the first couple years of our journey in Cary, we connected with Waltonwood and are honored and proud to say we have had a long standing partnership with these great folks. We have been delivering weekly donuts to the Waltonwood residents for more than a few years now and truly appreciate their partnership and support of our small business. We know what a great reputation Waltonwood has as a high quality assisted living facility and wish them continued success.
Dakota Olive: Waltonwood has been a great place to work at, ever since i started in 2021 I have received nothing but great training, experience, and relationships with co-workers and residents. I would recommend Waltonwood to anyone seeking a great career or a place for their loved ones to stay at. :)
Kathy Gregg: I visited my grandfather at this facility and it was amazing. The staff was great and seemed to genuinely care about the residents. I couldn't ask for a better alternate family for him than the staff here. It was a beautiful setting and all of the residents seemed very happy.
Jeff Meyer: I stopped by to see the community late in the afternoon one day. A lady named Tina gave me a tour and I was impressed with her professionalism and the community. I will definitely consider the community for the future.
Christine Conway-Balder: I worked as a receptionist at Waltonwood Cary Parkway for a little over 2 years. I loved working there. The residents and staff are great to work with! I enjoyed the events staff planned for the residents. The managers also do a lot to appreciate their staff (especially the BOM). If I ever move back to NC I would love to work at Waltonwood again!
Kayla Conway: I volunteered for Waltonwood for 3 years. The staff and residents treated me like family. I would still be there now but I moved out of state when I got out of school.
Chris Buchanan: I'm a past employee and want to share how wonderful the staff is. They care about each resident like family. The company is family owned and great to work with.
kim maples: Great environment with lovely people and activities.

Lea Bussmann: Very at home 🏡 feeling. Very friendly staff with 3 meals a day downstairs in a very nice room. They also have some very nice amenities there as well.
Quill Wellington: The area is nice, and includes a lot of amenities, but be prepared to bring your own wifi with you, as they do not support public wifi over the entire building. The cell phone towers are acting a bit shaky currently, so also be prepared to lose phone coverage. The self-playing piano is nice though. There is also a billiards table on the second floor.

JOY EVANS: My mother has lived at Stoneridge for over a year, a month from its initial opening in July, 2016. The directors and staff are exceptionally dedicated to every aspect of the experience. Easily, I would give them a a five star rating. The building is new and lovely. It is bright, has wide hallways, and all hallways are decorated with lovely paintings. They serve 3 meals a day. I would give the quality of the meals between 3 to 4 stars. On some days, it would rate 5 stars. There is no swimming pool. However, the activities director is very good at offering a wide variety of activities, exercise experiences, day outings, and movies. Living arrangements are varied. My mother has grown to love the directors, staff, and residents.
Hunter Reese: Grandma is very happy with her decision to stay at Stone Ridge - and I've never had a bad visit there with her!
Jonathan Almblad: My parents moved in here and I spent the week at Christmas visiting and felt like I was on a cruise ship! Super staff wonderful facilities and great food!
Juanita Caroway: Building is beautiful but management is not nice unless they are getting what they one out of you
