New Horizons Raleigh: what do users think?
siyeducation: Very good experience from start to finish. The help I received was Excellent regarding how to register for a class, how to create an account and connect, how to launch the course & the lab. The screenshots and instructions were very helpful. Top it all off, the instructor was excellent and handled a wide range of expertise, and also delivered the content very well. The just in time training for me was very valuable and I will be using the tool right away, and the features that I did not know will improve my productivity and effectiveness in my work and team. Thank you.

I also sincerely appreciated the swift assistance from Erin K. to Brandy T. helping me to get where I needed to be for the start of class. The Instructor, Emil R. was excellent, very thorough and had the patience of Job dealing with a packed class and reoccurring technical issues. Wake Tech Community College - Computer Education: what do users think?
MichiApel: BRC. The beginners riding class gets you through the (dmv) motorcycle skill test. Just awesome!
Brian Willis: The college needs to focus on infrastructure and communication between internal departments. As well as focus more on the student body. I had a horrible experience with the registrar and financial aid.

MyComputerCareer: what do users think?
Eric Bourne: Terrible experiences. No relevant jobs in Tri-state area. Sold me a dream I couldn't afford.
Oliver Gant: Cold calling recruiters to submit inexperienced students for high-paying IT jobs. You need a better strategy
The Jones Library: pricey but get not much..I do not recommend.
Marianne Santangelo: A positive supportive place!!
Frankiny: I am glad I didn’t sign for this. I recommended a friend who finished the class 3 months ago, and MyCC is unable to find him an internship, Recently they find him an IT job at Lowe’s and he left his previous job , and at his big surprise the contract for that job just end (1 month contract).Unbelievable.MyCC claims they will get you a job once you finish the class. If you want to start a career in IT better not go to this
Jeff Morrison: Good, kind staff. Cool opportunity offered to train for an IT career.
Matthew Felton: *This is for the online learning experienceI've attended this school for 2 years now (I've been attending this long due to using my GI bill). To start off, the lessons feel too fast. They cram years of knowledge into a few months. I felt like I would like this because I'm a quick learner, and I love Information Technology, but the teaching methods they use and their attitudes toward their students are inexcusable (very rude). I could post the tuition right now, and show you it's incredibly overpriced. An example would be that all students pay $700 for a laptop to use for school (included in their tuition). I was pretty excited to see what kind of computer they send. I figured they bought a good PC in bulk and got it for cheaper, but I was wrong. They sent the lowest spec Lenova Thinkpad e585 (Ryzen 3 2200u edition) you could get (worth about $300 retail when it was out 4 years ago, and is now discontinued). I tried to speak to them about all of my issues (including the overpriced laptop), but they must have the same laptop as I do because it takes days to get an email back from them. I gave 2 stars because it's not all bad. If you teach yourself and do your school work, than they pay for 2 attempts (sometimes 3) to get your certifications. If I were you, though, I'd buy the Mike Meyers CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ books and watch his lessons on Udemy. He'll teach you everything you need to know, and about $25,000 cheaper too. Teach yourself, get yourself a laptop worth your money, and earn your certifications. Don't waste your money going here.
The Art of Being Female: The program they offer is above board, every tool one needs to succeed is built into the program. Above and beyond any I have seen and I have worked with hundreds of schools across the country. If you use the tools offered to you in this program you will succeed in tech, one of the only secure industries left post covid!
Rylie Harris: Don't waste your time and money.
Rob Lee: As a student MyCC gave me the tools and confidence to reach my career goals. I was even given the opportunity to teach as an Instructor Mentor for over a year. That gave me an additional set of skills and now I have discovered my new passion in IT Training. The staff and instructors are amazing. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and invaluable connections. Keep changing lives!
Derek Baker: I had my last class in December 2020. I got my first real IT job as a help desk tech and had that for 3 months before I got a call for a job opportunity as a Lab Engineer at Cisco. Best job I have ever had and it is thanks to the MyCC career services department. Do not get me wrong it was not easy by any means. You will not be able to just show up for class and do your homework and expect to get all the certifications. You will have to study in addition every day and focus on the materials you don’t understand (on top of class, homework, a job and a newborn baby I managed to study an average of 3 hours a day). The teachers will tell you “you get out what you put in” and that is absolutely true. Don’t go into this halfway. You will have to commit to it fully but the benefits for me so far after a year of graduation are a better life for me and my family. Don’t listen to the bad reviews (at first I was concerned that I had made a big mistake because these reviews psyched me out) but don’t think it will be easy. Thank you MyCC.
Josh Mattingly: Absolutely wonderful experience thus far. From getting aid and grants to deciding which courses to take. To the classroom and faculty. 100% better than I ever would've guessed and I'm so very glad I took the plunge. I am now only months away from obtaining my degree in cyber security and getting a huge promotion at my company. Highly recommended to anyone pursuing a career in IT. P.S. Mike, Alec and Erin are the best!
Bradley Stevenson: What can I say except the instructor lives in his moms basement and seems to think lecturing people about being motivated is going to work. This is especially frustrating when you learn they don't allow you to work at your won pace and can only complete assignments and course material during course hours. Waste of time and money as they spend more time lecturing about having motivation and getting the material done that doing any actual instructing/teaching.Death by Power point seems to be the teaching model and it is not effective!!!!
Chris Hauser: Its a little challenging at first, but once you get over the initial reaction of...oh my god, there is so much information my brain is gonna explode, things start to settle in and you begin to understand everything because of the way the program is set up. Lots of repetition! Its the quickest way to go from your past career into another one for IT!
Big Foot: Critical:CommunicationI have heard there ad a million times. And yet I never have been compelled to call in. I find it very annoying that they infiltrate the air ways and interrupt my listening pleaser
Thomas Kwong: Before enrolling at MyCC i was lost. I did not know what to do. I was desperate on trying to find a way out of a dead end job. After enrolling I was afraid. Afraid that I was being mislead. 2 months later, I not only pass my first course, but also got my 1st cert. In terms of communication they are good. They do really look out for you if you are willing to ask for help. They actually contact you. Something that the old college I went to didn't do and ghost me until things were too late. In terms of the work, you HAVE to put in the work and be patient. This course in terms of getting the certs are NOT easy.
Jeremiah Negron: Positive:Professionalism
Riley Ann: Love the instructors, love the support, but the course load is too much too fast unless you already have a background in IT. I have 6 hours worth of homework videos to watch and take notes on tonight. I can't imagine doing these courses while also working a full time job.
Tu22: Is this College accredited as an undergraduate academic institution to receive a degree? My husband was looking into this school almost 3yrs ago. Thank GOD he did not enroll!! He went to an individual in the church who taught him what he needed to know for IT Business Analysis in less than 2 months with just $1000 and has been working as an IT BA/Project Manager ever since. Most of the reviews for this school are great reviews, HOWEVER they will charge people almost $24K to get in and take these IT courses for a few months, suggest you to take all these unnecessary 10 IT certifications that YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE. I currently work in Cyber and I took just 2 Training Courses/Certs, paid less than $2500, made several payment installments and arrangements to the individual (Professor/Mentor), received 1 on 1 Mentoring, Resume Writing & Review, Salary Negotiations, provided students with Interview Questions & Answers to all students, Small Group Size, IT lab simulation, Mock Interviews, possible practice exam questions, advice on TRANSFERABLE SOFT SKILLS & LEVERAGING YOUR RESUME to a new profession; and I was offered a six figure hourly rate job before 8 weeks WITHOUT a certification exam. The GOAL is to get into the Computer Software/ Tech Industry and GET your company/organization to PAY for future certifications via their training reimbursement programs. With Transferable Soft Skills & Leveraging acquired skills during your IT training and mentoring; you DO NOT need to start in Entry Level IT. I am still connected to the instructor as she is a college professor and still offers mentorships to all students and even 1 on 1 and contact via WhatsApp or Telegram. It is best to just get 1 or 2 cert to get your foot in FIRST, rather than accruing Student Loans and getting into DEBT in this pandemic economy when you can most definitely get educational assistance via your job and/pay out of pocket. Most companies only require 1 certifications 2 at most. Some jobs don’t even require a certification. So why go to a MyComputerCollege just to gather numerous certifications like a 🏅 medallion when you won’t need all but just 1 for the tech job? I have seen people who passed a cyber certifications and STILL cannot find jobs. Multiple certifications DOES NOT guarantee you a job.
John Mates Jr: Back in March 2020 I quit my job to start school at MyCC. And in April 2020, I began my journey to successfully obtain my Certs in the IT field and begin my career. I graduated in November 2020 with a 98.4 GPA and I attribute it to the mentors and instructors that the school has. Of course it took a lot of work and effort on MY part but with the help of these mentors and instructors I was able to successfully obtain many of my certifications and continue to do so on my own today. The school is highly recommended for those that want to get into the IT field.
David Wieland: I have been a student since Aug 24,2021 and I have enjoyed my time so far. I really enjoy the Flex room after class, cause 8 can interact with other mentors and instructors like Gerard, Ash, Mike and the students. They help out with just about anything from the class, to personal as well as the actual IT field. I can't say enough about the help and interaction I get from these people. Thank you so much.

Covey Computer Service and Repair: what do users think?
iyad muhsen: This is the best computer service I ever had .He tells you what the problem is and the solution to the problem without going around in circles. If you need something done to the computer he will suggest it, and he goes beyond ,like the computer is his own ,Plus he is fair when it comes to the cost.
Will Graham: Quick, extremely helpful, very smart at diagnosing issues
Janelle Roberts: Nick Covey is a wonderful computer repair expert. He not only does a fantastic job getting your computer functioning optimally he is a pleasure to work with and very professional. I recommend him whole heartedly.
Jeffrey Gerdes: Very helpful and honest computer repair company. Nick knows his computers and has gone above and beyond helping with my small business IT and computer repair services.
Peter Gaucher: Nick knows his stuff! Had a great dialog with him about my PC issues which was very helpful. He was very responsive and personable. I'd highly recommend him as your first call for objective cross brand technical support and advice.
ben adam: Covey was super-helpful on the phone and suggested a simple solution to my Lenovo notebook wifi problems. He did it as a complementary, courtesy advice - very professional.
Dennis Busfield: Very helpful with whatever questions you may have, really recommend.
Matthew: Great service called on a Saturday evening looking for an M.2 screw provided me a bag of screws with quick prompt service he is extremely kind and knowledgeable 10/10 would call again.
Samuel Barker: Super helpful over the phone! Potentially saved me a bunch of money.
Matt Schembari: Very helpful! I'm in tech myself and normally handle my own repairs, but this time I had something beyond me -- a broken screen on my Microsoft Surface laptop.I called, and he walked me through several different options available to me and did an excellent job of explaining them clearly and the pros and cons. Ultimately he recommended I take Microsoft's replacement offer, which meant he didn't get my business on this issue... but he sure will next time!
Tamara Brooks: Just in case you're curious…Don't be skeptical of Covey's consistent 5-star rating. He's THAT good! ;0)Issue: After spending too much time troubleshooting and seeking support from local SMEs and repair shops, Covey was my last call. Surprised that he answered the phone and patiently listened to my pleas for help,Advice: Nick offered great advice, set my expectations + (most importantly) created space in his busy day to address my issue (failed charging port).Solution: He advised me to save the money I would pay him to repair the port, backup the data to an external hard drive, + invest in a quality new machine. Not the solution I was expecting; however, it was the best one considering the laptop's age (7 years old).Nuisance: To our dismay, I had more data than I realized. The commitment took longer than planned. I had overdue homework to grade. And… Nick pressed on.Delivery: He patiently worked through my issues for about three days straight (committed to getting me off of his to-do list) to deliver my data on an excellent external hard drive, a cleaned laptop (I could donate or keep it for a paperweight), + a TON of advice (actually fricking great advice!).Take Away: Nick + his passion for the craft, + his professionalism deserves all five stars. Please don’t trust me; read more of his reviews and make your own decision.Mr. Covey, you are a true gem. Thank you. Appreciate your passion for your work + proper English. ;0)
neal gettinger: I had my partner in from overseas and her computer completely crashed. Nick helped troubleshoot our problem. I highly recommend him for anything you need to fix on a computer. Thanks Nick!
Rajat: The guy was very helpful in listening to my requirements and provide his expert insight , saved me few hundred bucks with his recommendations.
david dropkin: Mr. Covey was extremely helpful in resolving my gmail problem. He took the time to explain to me the necessary steps to resolve my issue (and it worked).
Tom Green: I've been having issues with my laptop keyboard. First the "x" key stopped working. I can work around that. But in the last week, the "r" key started having issues. I use that key a LOT more! Called Nick to see what he might be able to do. He confirmed what another friend had said - this would be a VERY costly repair due to the construction of the laptop, and he suggested I purchase a USB keyboard replacement. Nick was upfront with me and his advice was something that would save me hundreds of dollars, even though it wouldn't produce any profit for him. That's a classy guy. Thanks Nick!
Nelson Ransone: Great advice over the phone with assistance on an older laptop (whether to really have it fixed or not). Also advised on whether to buy refurbished computers (no) and what type of new computers are best. Thanks!
Mike Maragni: Contacted Nick with an issue I was having with my fairly new Dell laptop. He gave me some helpful information about the problem I was facing and I was then able to get it working again. Definitely recommend contacting Nick if you have any computer issues you need help with!
Sawyer: So so so nice and helpful. Could have told me just to get my computer fixed and taken my money but instead talked me through what the repair would entail and encouraged me to get another laptop for the time being because the repair would have cost a lot and would have taken a long time. Was still willing to do the repair job if I wanted it, but didn't pressure me or try to talk me into doing something that would cost a ton. I will for sure be calling back if something else breaks.
Top Edge Tinting: Wow! I couldn't be more impressed with how generous Nick was with his time. He helped me diagnose my network issue over the phone. He suggested a viable solution that ultimately fixed all of my network problems. I highly recommend Covey Computer.
Junkyard Joe: I didn't make an appointment because my computer's issues are more trouble to repair than they're worth, instead he gave me advice on how i could cheap and easily fix the issue with a new keyboard, didn't make any money from it but he was very helpful. Least I can do is say that he cares about helping people with computers and is good at it. Modern computers are built to fail.
Phillip Leonard: Very professional and very helpful. Didn’t try to sell me or force anything. Just provided sound advice and instruction. Helped me get my laptop back running correctly. Highly recommend.

Wake Technical Community College - Scott Northern Wake Campus: what do users think?
Steven Mbale: Amazing staff they have at the school, took time to locate my class 😅 but I would recommend anyone that trying find something to study to better their future to go to this school✌️
Samantha Lunsford: Clean and organized
Thomas Moss: First year at Wake Tech was great! Professors cared about students' wellbeing, and they had a full staff and had everything open to students. Covid hit in 2020 and the school dropped in quality instantly. While some of it is out of the control of staff and administrators. You can tell the attitude of professors changed and students' wellbeing was being left behind for a political agenda and ways to get the school money. Wake tech is now place of toxicity and not a place of learning. I went from a straight A school year to failing and being told there was no hope for me at the school. Corruption now lays in the core structure of Wake Tech.
Eileen Ramos: Helpful and courteous
Nathan Mincey: Wife works here
Katie Arteta: The Financial aid office is a pain to work with. I have been in contact with them numerous times via telephone and in-person. Every time I have been met with an extremely rude attitude. They have no helpful information to give nor do they even attempt to try.
Rose Hughes: My first week here and everything has been great!
Nick Morgan: I'm a graduate of Wake Tech I have now 5 certificates and now working on two associate degrees in Business Administration I have 4 classes left Wake Tech has been great to me so far I'm proud to be a Wake Tech Eagle The school is good so far if they don't treat me good this will change right now so far so good.
Terry Lynch: Great event for incoming students.
cortez norman: Great place helpful, staff, advisors and professors are easy to work with and understanding... so far so good also veteran services are extremely helpful and prompt with getting things taken care of..
Diana Lendian: Good easy to get to
Olugbenga Akinlade: Excellent school experience and learning 👌
Todd Gurley: Great college. Always have great counseling for students
Edwin Fernandez: Como latino puedo decir que esta institucion es la verdadera representacion de Estados Unidos. Atencion, cortecia y ayuda sin distincion de estatus o nacionalidad.Orgulloso de estudiar aquí!!!
Brooke Gupton: WATCH OUT! Wake Tech will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat. They make promises that they DON’T keep or even follow through with. There are a lot of people in the first year automotive program that are getting thrown under the bus because they were the “guinea pigs” of this new program. Wake Tech is not giving them any opportunities that the group behind them is getting, no tuition has been paid for (which was promised in the signing ceremony), their classes have become pointless, etc. How are these students getting any of the equal opportunities the others are? Why do these first year students have to suffer because they were the “guinea pigs”? How are these students supposed to feel prepared for their ASE certification tests and be qualified compared to their competitors coming behind them? Exactly. All talk.
Jesse Jones: Nice place to study, Lovely staffs.
Alec Henderson: These buildings look bleak and ugly but wooooah is it clean in here
Luis Reyes: So far so good , loving wake tech. Teachers are so friendly and really want their students to succeed. Definitely a smart move to choose wake tech for college
Bri Lynn: Thank you, Wake Tech, for such an enriching couple of years! Very supportive! I am so proud of what I accomplished!
Kristin coxe: Worst school I ever attended. The professor don’t really care about you they are just university rejects so they hate their life. The campus is a joke with the people they let come on campus grounds and protest thing that minors should not see and there a minor that attend here for extra activities! Skip this school and if you need a community college go to Vance-Granville, honestly any other community college is better this joke of a school.
