However I can see how it could be difficult at times. Park on the gravel road over the bridge.Restrooms: Yes. Multiple units.Dog-friendliness: Dog on a leash. Practice leave no trace.
Chanchal: Great trail around the lake Crabtree. Beautiful and scenic views of the lake. From this point one can access lake view trail around lake Crabtree. If you choose to take a walk from the right side of this point the trail is unpaved and leads to sailing pier of lake Crabtree county park, during my hike I saw plenty of bikers on this trail, greenery all along. If you go left side of this trail, there is paved trail which goes towards Crabtree Creek Bridge. There are benches to relax and chill. Liked hiking and running on paved and unpaved trail. Well maintained.Restrooms: Restrooms are at the trailhead. Clean and well maintained.
Kevin Kitts: A gem in the Triangle. I never knew how much I appreciated Umstead park until I started gravel riding with friends here. Beautiful setting, great facilities - pure unadulterated fun. Proof that green space is worth protecting.Recommended activities Walking, Hiking, Running, Biking, Dog Walking, Birdwatching …More

Dwayne: Oh what a sunny and breezy day from plane spotting to cyclist talking and walkers walking pets and all, real therapy. The trail although under detour for sewage/water pipe installation was this well maintained and accessible. Never a disappointment and everyone played nice!
Yujin Lee: The view is fantastic, except there is a sewer pipe going through half way along the trail, and it smells, especially during the warm season. And the narrow bridge only allows one car to pass by.
Gavin Carter: Cool place. I fish here often. Definitely don’t eat the fish. This place needs a gate at the other end of the parking lot so you don’t have to walk all the way around.
P Sh: Restrooms: Clean and enough for everyone.Dog-friendliness: Plenty of room for visitors with pets.Water stations on the side of the trail,so humans and pets could rehydrate.
ItsPrettyBlack Yoga: Nice trail and beautiful sunsets to catch over the water. Glad I stumbled upon this place. Popular after work trail, gets busy around 4:30/5p
Michael Dwomoh: One of the best trail heads in our beautiful County. You have the option of heading for the hills by way of Umstead Park or staying on flat ground and hitting the trails. Access is easy from the I40 and there are bathrooms too.
Michael Johnson: A great place to walk, run, and bike... Or just sit and watch the planes take off over the lake.

Speight Branch Greenway: what do users think?
Janet Pwu: Always a great trail to walk around with a friend! Nice trails in Carey!
Thomas Valerio: I mean it's a green way. Very clean area, with some amazing views of the lake and great for a sunset stroll with the dogs!
Wallace E. Unger: Best little greenway in Cary!
Sam Fantaye: A nice greenway featuring a multi-use paved trail for walking, jogging, biking, and especially for walking your furry friends. The sunset beautiful from here. 🌇 🐕 🚴
Cap Cap: Beautiful place for a bike ride!
Nick Graham: A half mile paved trail starting at Cary Parkway that goes for half a mile before going under Tryon road to lead up to a beautiful reservoir. The trail then does a loop around the lake. The trail might be a little too short for a bike ride but is perfect for a good walk. There is a wooden bridge on the far side of the lake that is very nice to look down on the lake and river. Overall a wonderful place to relax and enjoy!
christian ortiz: Been running this greenway for 2 years its dope son. But too many dogs and not enough cleaning up after them. Watch out for doodee.
Daniel Honrine: Good wide path with decent tree cover that wraps around a small body of water. There is some accessible parking at the Lodge at Parkstone. Also there is scattered benches along the path.
Marsha Adkins: Lovely Greenway section. There is a lake/pond/body of water there with with beavers and Great Blue Herons. Pretty& quiet, but passed plenty of folks dog walking, jogging. There is a walkway under Tryon Rd as well.
Marissa Hertzfeld: I love this greenway! I walk it every morning with my dog. She has plenty to look at and sniff, and I have a clear path to walk. It’s a win win! There are many animals to spot, I’ve even seen otters. Overall, it’s a nice walk. There is a busy road nearby, but the walk winds in and out of trees and around the lake so it’s still beautiful.
Charles Lai: Greenway are flat for most people to walking or running.
MrP (Novatone): Very nice path that you can take to walk around the lake. It's just short of a mile and doesn't have tremendous traffic considering how nice the views and path is. I'd recommend to any locals and really anyone who wants a great biking path jogging path, or anyone who wants to go for a great walk.
Dave Jacobs: A nice walk, pretty views. I would suggest the addition of blue, emergency locations such as you find on college campuses.
Biff Steel: Great place to stretch your legs & take a walk or ride the bike.
michael xu: Nice paved trails
T.J. Rausch: Truly one of my favorite places to walk.
Nancy Wilder: Nice. Generally not crowded, but enough friendly people and dogs to not feel like you are alone.
Eliazar Barrios: Me encanto
Andrew: Very lovely and peaceful trail to walk on. The bridge can get slippery on rainy days just to let you know. But other than that it is very beautiful place to walk at.
Crystal Micallef: Very clean, peaceful trail. My dogs love going here for a walk. On the plus side, it connects to a shopping center with a couple of restaurants that have outside seating and dog friendly.
Forrest Stroud: Scenic greenway trail around a pretty pond. The loop is a little short for biking but it's great for walking. There are a few Adirondack chairs on the West side of the pond that you can sit in and enjoy some peace and quiet (when it's not mosquito season, that is).
