Brian Taber: Decent Lowes. Staff is always more helpful than Home Depot

Zane B: Worst experience with Lowes in Cary NC especially with Isaiah.I had a digital receipt from Garner Lowes. I tried to return cable and breaker to Lowes in Cary NC .But customer service couldn’t locate the order, So I was taking things back. Once I try to leave a store lowes representative named Isaiah wouldn’t let me go out of store. I told him that I have receipt online and it was return stuff. He wouldn’t take my word and treated me like I’m thief and acted to detain me. To prove my innocence he made me walk with him back to customer service. CS was helpful by disproving Isaiah suspicion of me stealing stuff. Then I asked his name and then immediately he tried to act smart with me by explaining his point instead of apologizing me of his actions. I immediately said ‘no’ and he replied with mean tone ‘have a good day sir’ at my back. Overall worst experience with Isaiah with handling the situation. Customer service tried to help me but Isaiah needs some training on how to deal with customer rather than acting smart with words and stopping them up front with a stance of snatching a bag if I try to leave. This is another review about mistreatment with another customer. Hopefully corporate catches this wrongdoing with his lowes customers.

Greg Totherow: This is basically my local Lowe's Home Improvement. Their garden section is always stocked with seasonal plants snd flowers. They have order ahaed and pickup in the store or curbside pickup that usually works pretty well. As far as Lowe's goes, this is probably the best one in this area.

Gabe Filomena: I went in for hardware. as usual, I spend 30 minutes looking to not find anything so I go and ask someone for help, and they said "I'll have someone meet you in hardware". no one did so I found Brian in the paint section. asked him if he'd be willing to help and he was.as we were walking over to hardware, I explained what I was looking for (10/32 3" long flat head bolt and nylon nuts). we struggled to find what I was looking for. throughout our search, he held a personal conversation to better understand what I needed. he ended up finding something similar that would work absolutely fine and I went on my way.overall, he seemed happy to help. he understood that hardware is a pain to look through, he asked what I was making and found a solution I wouldn't have thought of.I rarely see this kind of service anymore, anywhere. I feel people are working for money rather than doing what they want to do. Lowe's might not be Brian's dream job, but he made my experience as a customer more than satisfactory, because he acted like a person first, before an employee. I legitimately felt like I asked a friend to find something. he didn't go out of his way or nothing, but you can tell when someone does their job well, and he did spectacularly

Price increased by 50% from the first estimate to the final. What's the point of the first estimate?Had my deposit for 5+wks. I used to like Lowes. And refunding the money will take 3-10 business days! What? Pretty sure they dinged my account day 1.

Daniel Marcus: Whatever you do, DO NOT order appliances from Lowe's.The delivery company usually doesn't call either to confirm the day before or to give a delivery window, calling is a joke; "longer than normal wait times" is the norm, usually over an hour. They broke two dryers in a row by carrying them in incorrectly, until they ran out of replacements and told me I'd have to wait "about a month" for new ones to come in. They also didn't hook up the water line for steam for the dryer even though I specifically asked them before they left if they had (they said yes they had).
David Hutson: They freely admit their inventory information is always wrong and can't be trusted. They've said this for many years and still haven't fixed it. I've been mischarged. I've been flatly lied to. Get contradictory information from different employees. The "mylowes" tracking doesn't register half my purchases. They have missed delivery appointments by 12 hours with no updates and 2+ hour waits to talk to someone on the phone or chat

Sandra Finnegan: I come to this Lowe's all the time and normally used to find people who actually helpful. Slowly it seems that the associates care less and less about helping customers. Today we were here for over an hour waiting in the lumbar department. The item we need required one of the lifts to get and we were told by the associate that he had two things to do and then would get our item down. We were waiting in the area with no problem for about 45 minutes and then stepped into another aisle for 2 minutes while they were still on the previous item to look at something and then came back and both associates that were there were gone. We went to the register and someone was paged and waited 10 more minutes and no one showed up. We literally wasted over an hour after being told that we would be helped and then the associates were gone. Most likely on a break but this kind of management and customer service is ridiculous and disappointing.

Xinran Li: The only contractor with Home Depot is ARS for installing new HVAC unit in Raleigh area. However, they provide really poor job.ARS installed a brand new HVAC unit at end of March. It has been repairing for at least 7 times wasted days of our time. As now, June 5, my air conditioner is still waiting for parts. The cover/hood left wide open. The manager Brandon promised us they will replace the cover and install the missing parts. But they never do. Brandon also ignores our call and messages. Till, it has been 6 weeks since we talk to the manager Brandon. Nothing has been done.Besides, the technician damaged the coil fins while they were "repairing" the brand new unit they just installed, and they are not promising to repair it.In the contract, they promised to refund and remove the unit within one year if we are not satisfied with their product and service. When I request refund, they just sent a technician, talk to you and promising to repair, which is something they never does.I heard ARS is a good company for plumbing. However, for HVAC installation and repair, they are not professional based on what they did, such as misconnecting wires during installation which damages the outside unit, failed to repair, ignoring costumers and not being responsible, not following the contract.

An unrelated employee came down the hardware aisle from plumbing but was moving at about 1/2 mph and not helpful. I needed a shorter threaded rod than I had found there . After 5 more minutes of him meandering the aisle , he told me the longer version they sold (already in my hand) couldn’t be cut there. I was super surprised in the lack of intent to help or ability to resolve the issue. Instead he tried to sell me a hacksaw to make one cut. Super disappointed….

M JH: July 3, 2023: Great experience. I purchased a fire pit on-line to be picked up at the store. A couple of hours later I arrived at the store only to find that my order had not made it to the store. Not sure if it was a corporate issue or operator (my) error. Regardless, we agreed that I could purchase it while in the store and take it with me. The store assembled the (mobile) fire pit in no time. The store agreed to cancel my on-line order once received from corporate. They set me up for a good July 4th. My hat is off to the team!
Debbie Henry: Great hardware store... They made a new key for my mailbox...the original key was inserted into their computer...the computer program identifies which key blank will work. The duplicated key works like an original key.Great selection of products for house and yard and priced reasonably

After talking to my boyfriend, another ace costumer, about this he informed me that he has also overheard this manager talking very disrespectfully to employees. I won’t get into details here, but I will not shop here anymore as I can not support a store who treats their employees so horribly.

To more than one customer based on the end of the conversation we heard as we got in line. Took window screens in for repair including reattaching the clips. The guy taking the order cut my husband off more than once. All he was interested in was name and phone number not what we wanted done. It was the abruptness of the comments. I have no issue that they don't make screens and that they don't reattach the clips but good grief be polite when conveying that. And if you don't reattach clips don't accept them from us to just lose them so that we have to buy new ones. Shame on us for opting to have the work done. Should have left and taken our business elsewhere. 2 stars only because the repairs that were done was decent work. The lady running the check out was super nice. Store clean and well stocked. Just don't get help from the back of store crew.

It has just about everything you need and because it's not a Lowe's or home Depot they'll help you with what you need pretty quickly. Unfortunately some of the staff seems new and service can be a little bit slow. Especially at the front counter But they're organization and friendliness will when you over for sure.

Most of the time I'm in and out in under 5 minutes.

Larry Davis: I took a screen there to be fixed and waited two weeks.I called to check on it and I admit there was one young lady that was very helpful, her name was Katheryn. After the two weeks I called and told them I was just going to come and pick it up and take it somewhere else. Katheryn was very apologetic, but there was another young lady there that treated me really nasty and made me feel hurt. I recently lost my only son and this experience certainly didn't help 💔me. I sorry if I did anything wrong!

Brad Bazemore: They markup traeger products. I went to buy a Traeger shelf for my grill. Traeger a site said it was 60$, they were selling it at 77$. I asked if they would match prices such as Traeger’s. They told me no and that Traeger set the price. That is not true. I asked Traeger and they told me the price on their site is the retail price others were to match. I will not be going here again for anything.

I got to the store 5 minutes before closing time (my apologies). They helped me with smiling face and warm conversation right up to the point of checkout 😃 Charles was a heaven sent because I had no clue what I was doing. He politely answered every one of my questions. They need to all be given a bonus, raise, and a promotion 🙌🏽 👏🏽. Herman Tant: Store was nice neat and clean, the item I was looking for it was in stock. Checkout line did get pretty long however two additional employees jumped in to help. How I felt like I was done wrong by Harold, see as I was the last person in line. Once it was my turn, He made me go to another line that was longer ilo of just checking me out with my one item. While I was in the second long line. I watched Harold messing around doing nothing.
Travis Horton: Cheap Chinese tools. Cheap customer service. Lunch time, busy time. A dozen people in line to checkout with the one open register. Supervisor comes up, opens a new register to check out someone and tells another customer to get back in the long line. A supervisor? Save your time and gas and mail order if you want savings and selection. I left my arm full of potential purchases on a nearby counter and left. Great customer service is the only metric to use in today's homogenous commerce and economy.

Karol Zielinski: I had today very pleasant experience at Lowe's Apex location. Johnelle, the Front End Supervisor, was helping me in finding particular weather strip for my front door.I was offered assistance before even having the chance to ask for it. Johnelle demonstrated very positive attitude and nice demeanor. She was very competent and immediately understood what I am looking for. She spend extra time to check on hand inventory, as well as physically checked warehouse inventory. Johnelle disserves closer evaluation by the Lowe's Management.

C C: I was at returns waiting, three attendants chatting; finally they gave me a store credit. I walked in to buy what I needed and when coming back to use the store credit, the rep at the self pay section didn’t give us a coin so we used our car key. The number for the store credit was illegible so we went to customer service and even though the card was just issued, we were told they could only track the card during business hours. My husband was upset and said why Lowes makes everything too complicated and I heard the person said, you can go to another store. I suggested to simply discount the money from my purchase as I had my receipt. Finally they could do that, our time worth much more, for sure we’ll follow their advice and go to Home Depot.

Not only that, but their customer service is outstanding. They are always willing to answer my questions and give me tips on how to care for my plants properly. Richard Grablin: Big box hardware store, service folks are helpful, usually has the items I need and prices can be decent if you can catch a sale. Parking lot is usually very busy and crowded in normal operating hours, be prepared to park a ways out and it can be hairy safely navigating around because people can be dumb drivers...sometimes me too if I'm honest.

The seeds are also from a local seed company! Bonus: I learned a lot about gardening practices for each variety. This is now my go-to place to buy vegetable seeds.

ron barbee: Here in the Triangle, where very few things have remained the same as they were when I was a kid 70+ years ago, 125 year old Carpenter Farm Supply is an exception. Dale Carpenter, the fourth generation of the Carpenter family to own and operate the store, along with his son Dale Jr, run the store in much the same way as it was run in the 1940s when I went there with my granddad to buy farm supplies from Dale’s granddad. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and if they don’t have what you need they can usually tell you where to find it.And even if you don’t really need anything, just going in there is an experience, like going back in time to pre-RTP.
Angela Hunt: Friendly staff. Made my keys quickly and, as I would later discover, quite accurately, even though it was a copy of a copy.
Ken Simons: Interesting store and nice folks. Not sure what I was expecting but the time spent musing over the blends of basic hardware and vintage was memorable. Stop in, say hello, buy some this or that, spend a little money and remember this experience the next time you find yourself in Walmart self check hell.
