Westlake Ace Hardware: what do users think?
M JH: July 3, 2023: Great experience. I purchased a fire pit on-line to be picked up at the store. A couple of hours later I arrived at the store only to find that my order had not made it to the store. Not sure if it was a corporate issue or operator (my) error. Regardless, we agreed that I could purchase it while in the store and take it with me. The store assembled the (mobile) fire pit in no time. The store agreed to cancel my on-line order once received from corporate. They set me up for a good July 4th. My hat is off to the team!
Debbie Henry: Great hardware store... They made a new key for my mailbox...the original key was inserted into their computer...the computer program identifies which key blank will work. The duplicated key works like an original key.Great selection of products for house and yard and priced reasonably
Sue B.: Friendly and helpful!!
Dick Capp: Young employee helped me select correct size nuts, bolts and washers for complex home repair job.Impressive. He could tell I was unsure which combination to select from large selection. Great attitude and very knowledgeable!
Rico Brame: Whoever Joey is he needs to be fired he is very rude and sarcastic I will be going elsewhere !!!!!
Gregory Marvin: One of the best stocked hardware stores in Raleigh.
Ala H: Usually a good experience at this store, today I happened to ask someone for help that turned out to be the store manager. The guys was exceptionally dry, most of my sentences went unanswered or addressed. He barely spoke to me, not sure why, I just walked in I was extra polite. From a store manager I expected exceptional customer service, but this guy made no attempts to be a normal level of friendly.
Keith Bowen: Great people and selections.
Jeanne Bugay: It is mixed ...depends on the person helping you.
Chip Haver: Can usually find what you need in a pinch. Was convenient to one of my job locations
Travis Horton: Ace is the place. Best traditional hardware store in the area.
Jillian Bridges: I’ve been to this store a few times and have had great experiences, but I was in the store on Thursday and overheard a man who I believe is the manager talking to another employee is an appalling way. After talking to my boyfriend, another ace costumer, about this he informed me that he has also overheard this manager talking very disrespectfully to employees. I won’t get into details here, but I will not shop here anymore as I can not support a store who treats their employees so horribly.
Joey Harward: Always helpful and has a better selection than larger chains
Chip Freund: Friendly staff and nothing beats a local hardware store when you need something to finish a project.
A Google User: Nice place bit very expensive when comparing the same products found in bigger box home care stores like Home Depot. Example, Rainbird sprinkler heads are $10 to $11 at Lowes & Home Depot but $18 at Ace.
Tony Withers: Great resource. Excellent inventory!Hope all will support our local neighborhood store!!
Justin Wahrenburg: Old school friendly place!!! the hurricane, knocked out their power and I really needed some items to make some repairs around the house. They walk each individual customer around with a flashlight and got you taken care of with five star service. These are the type places I remember when I was a kid shopping with my dad.!
Mark Johnson: A great neighborhood hardware store.
stephen gaertner: This is a nice small home improvement store. It is close by neighborhoods in Cary & Apex NC....
James Myers: I needed a string trimmer and a few other yard tools for my daughter. They were open Sunday, and a gentleman set me up with an awesome Stihl trimmer. Knowledgeable staff! They beat the big box joints for service every time!
Donald L: The guys at this store were so incredibly helpful in solving a repair dilemma that I had. I got such great advice and was directed to the right things that I needed. Fantastic service. And great group of people working there. Wish I could give 10 stars!!!

Lowe's Home Improvement: what do users think?
Daniel Marcus: Whatever you do, DO NOT order appliances from Lowe's.The delivery company usually doesn't call either to confirm the day before or to give a delivery window, calling is a joke; "longer than normal wait times" is the norm, usually over an hour. They broke two dryers in a row by carrying them in incorrectly, until they ran out of replacements and told me I'd have to wait "about a month" for new ones to come in. They also didn't hook up the water line for steam for the dryer even though I specifically asked them before they left if they had (they said yes they had).
David Hutson: They freely admit their inventory information is always wrong and can't be trusted. They've said this for many years and still haven't fixed it. I've been mischarged. I've been flatly lied to. Get contradictory information from different employees. The "mylowes" tracking doesn't register half my purchases. They have missed delivery appointments by 12 hours with no updates and 2+ hour waits to talk to someone on the phone or chat
Rachel Kelsh: Had an issue and the assistant manager Courtney could not have been any more helpful. She was very professional, courteous and a pleasure to interact with.
Rebecca O'Sullivan: It's a good Lowe's.
Diana Smith: I absolutely love their garden center .I buy a lot of plants from all Lowes locations.
Sandra Finnegan: I come to this Lowe's all the time and normally used to find people who actually helpful. Slowly it seems that the associates care less and less about helping customers. Today we were here for over an hour waiting in the lumbar department. The item we need required one of the lifts to get and we were told by the associate that he had two things to do and then would get our item down. We were waiting in the area with no problem for about 45 minutes and then stepped into another aisle for 2 minutes while they were still on the previous item to look at something and then came back and both associates that were there were gone. We went to the register and someone was paged and waited 10 more minutes and no one showed up. We literally wasted over an hour after being told that we would be helped and then the associates were gone. Most likely on a break but this kind of management and customer service is ridiculous and disappointing.
Tracie Robinson: Good place for any of your home improvement needs
Norm Kelly: Close to home. Always have what I'm after. Very helpful staff.
Holly Sullenger: My go-to place for home and yard projects.
Allison Gibbs: The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a large variety of plants, and the store is always clean and organized.
Sam Sigarto: Good store, nice staff.
Russell Villard: Very friendly man searched the store for wall plaster for me. Wish I got his name. People are friendly and helpful. Lots of smiles.
Walter Prince: The employees are always willing to help. Class act here
Nicole Smalls: There are many options.
Alex Grossman: Staff is usually friendly and knowledgeable. Store is usually well stocked. I do wish they sent out fliers in the mail, that would be helpful for knowing about sales especially when you don't have cable tv. Overall through the store is nice and clean and your standard home improvement store.
Nikronomikon: Отлично
Syed Yusuf: No complain, everything is perfect
斯奈德菲爾: This Lowe's was clean the employees were very helpful
Dapper D: They don't want to check you out anymore and there is no sense of urgency when it comes to getting the customers taken care of. I avoid Lowes and prefer a local hardware store.
SS P: Worst customer service department as they only value themselves and behave as they are the CEO. The Hispanic female needs a solid retraining on how to interact with customers or just not work there. Policies change based on the person behind the counter and when notated they speak to you with an insulting tone. These females definitely cater to specific races which needs to be addressed by management.
Cizkaro Kiwaku: It's a Lowes!

Carpenter Farm Supply Co: what do users think?
Stephanie Brown: Great service! Was very eager to help me!
F. R. (Effective Problem Solving): Get transported back into time. Very friendly staff, a museum like inside, and a great place to visit and enjoy old memories.
Steven: You gotta go here. Creaky floors, pot bellied stove, peanuts in the shell. If they don't have it...you probably don't need it! Continuous operation since 1885!
Brad C.: I mainly go to Carpenter for bulk (1000+pounds) orders of fertilizer. They have the best availability and pricing in the Triangle. They are always helpful and the main shop is a time capsule. It is a very cool place to shop for farm/garden. I wish them another 135 years of success.
Krystle Mc Kenna: I love this store. My kids love coming to explore. They always have everything I need for our little hobby farm 🚜 😍
Kristi Verde: This place has everything I need at good prices.
Jorjor “FreddyBoy” Well: Just a real nice old time hardware feed and seed store
Marc Smith: Great atmosphere and customer service.
Jesse Osterhoudt: Mr. Carpenter helped us out in a pinch today with some cotter pins for a rolling steel door we are repairing. Thank you sir!
Ronald Proulx: Old time atmosphere with the knowledge and experience for building or putting back together anything that breaks down. Second to none with anything grown in the garden and Dale will walk anyone who asks through growing a garden from scratch.
Mike Faircloth: Been coming here for supplies 40 years. Besides the family history of good customer service. Walking around inside takes me back intime. Don't change a thing keep it real.
Eddie Beddard: It's like being a kid again, growing up around old hardware stores like this. Shop local when you can.
Richard Jansen: I've found my second home! It's an old timey country hardware store, with just about every single thing you might want.
Joshua Denton: This place is a jewel! Old time hometown hardware store with an antique feeling and family owned atmosphere. Definitely a dinosaur or it's fossil! Great place and if you can't find whatever it is you need at this store then it's because you just can't find it or it's not been made!
Natalie Hummel: Stocked up on seeds for my vegetable garden. I appreciated that I could buy just what I needed. Much more affordable then buying pre-made seed packets. The seeds are also from a local seed company! Bonus: I learned a lot about gardening practices for each variety. This is now my go-to place to buy vegetable seeds.
Dave Roberts: My Grandad took me there often when I was little. That was in the early 70's. I can still smell it. Miss the old days.
Trail Ryder: Good prices on horse feed!!
ron barbee: Here in the Triangle, where very few things have remained the same as they were when I was a kid 70+ years ago, 125 year old Carpenter Farm Supply is an exception. Dale Carpenter, the fourth generation of the Carpenter family to own and operate the store, along with his son Dale Jr, run the store in much the same way as it was run in the 1940s when I went there with my granddad to buy farm supplies from Dale’s granddad. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and if they don’t have what you need they can usually tell you where to find it.And even if you don’t really need anything, just going in there is an experience, like going back in time to pre-RTP.
Angela Hunt: Friendly staff. Made my keys quickly and, as I would later discover, quite accurately, even though it was a copy of a copy.
Ken Simons: Interesting store and nice folks. Not sure what I was expecting but the time spent musing over the blends of basic hardware and vintage was memorable. Stop in, say hello, buy some this or that, spend a little money and remember this experience the next time you find yourself in Walmart self check hell.
Chris Ford: Friendly folks and a good amount of high-quality products available at great prices.

Town & Country Hardware: what do users think?
Bill Albing: Handy store stocked with essential items. Great to have such a store with helpful staff so close to home.
Kevin Graybeal: They helped me rekey a lock. Also, their selection of grill and meat smoking products is superb.
Dean Sauls: Very helpful employees, and a good selection of most things a small hardware store would carry. Great option if you need to quickly shop for something in particular, without the distractions of a big box store.
Dan Hogue: Well stocked with helpful and pleasant staff
RICHmike: Josh is fantastic at understanding customer service. Huge thanks for the help after having to drive from N. Raleigh location where they couldn't help.
Vicky Forrest: Friendly folks
Mark Brady: Just purchased my second Stihl tool there. Great selection and service. My go to place for all home and yard needs.
Bailey Friese: Nice store and staff were helpful
David Reese: Outstanding service! They went out of their way to help me get a Stihl part I needed that I couldn't find anywhere else.
JustSomeGuy: Update 04/2022:Okay maybe not much of an update, why? Because everything I said before is still true this is still My Town and country!----------------------------------------------Just good helpful people here. I think of this place as "My Town & Country"
Micah Ellsworth: Lots of bird seed for the birds to eat
Vikki Martin: I don't give bad reviews, my average is 4.5 stars. This review is only for the guys running the help area in the back. Rude. Just rude. To more than one customer based on the end of the conversation we heard as we got in line. Took window screens in for repair including reattaching the clips. The guy taking the order cut my husband off more than once. All he was interested in was name and phone number not what we wanted done. It was the abruptness of the comments. I have no issue that they don't make screens and that they don't reattach the clips but good grief be polite when conveying that. And if you don't reattach clips don't accept them from us to just lose them so that we have to buy new ones. Shame on us for opting to have the work done. Should have left and taken our business elsewhere. 2 stars only because the repairs that were done was decent work. The lady running the check out was super nice. Store clean and well stocked. Just don't get help from the back of store crew.
Julie Carlino: I love this place. A new hardware store with old time feel.
Brent Ward: Super helpful and pleasant staff. Great neighborhood supplier and appreciate them being here!
Marcus “Mrgamnwatch” Aurellius: This is a fantastic out of the way Mom and Pop style shop. Everyone's very friendly and addresses you directly. It has just about everything you need and because it's not a Lowe's or home Depot they'll help you with what you need pretty quickly. Unfortunately some of the staff seems new and service can be a little bit slow. Especially at the front counter But they're organization and friendliness will when you over for sure.
Angela Whitaker: Had what I needed.
Bunniii Power: Almost no one in the store but it still took 30 minutes to get a key made. This is why I go to Lowe's.
Craig Snively: They always have what I need and I find things we did not know existed.
Jorjor “FreddyBoy” Well: Good selection, convenient, can get help easily
Thorsten Stremlau: Just great experience every time, knowledgeable, attentive help every time.... The quality of products is also typically above average
Ray Ernest Martin: Just a neighbor hardware store that truly believed and is dedicated to providing what their neighbors need👍👍👍👍👍😉

Grand Rental Station: what do users think?
J K: My mom rented a power washer from this group on a Saturday. They were so nice and friendly. They made the process super easy and quick both when we came to pick up the equipment and when we returned the equipment. Thanks guys 😊
Erin Dunphy Dean: My go to rental equipment provider. Great equipment and PHENOMENAL Customer service.
Stephenie Allen: The pickup was uneventful, but upon returning the item, we received a call that the rental was not received and was told that we would be charged additional money on the card we used. The guy was very rude and accusatory and hung up the phone. After checking again, he noticed everything had been returned in perfect order and called to apologize. He should have checked thoroughly before being so rude and making such accusations.
Joyce Robertson: Rented a hot box that had two half handles. Equipment is paid for before you pickup.
Guest Account: Been going to them for 15 years. So friendly. They know you by name. So accommodating. They will bend over backwards to get you the equipment you need on the spot at the last minute. We don't go to the bigger rental companies anymore we don't need to. They make it so easy to support locally. David Hare
laurelle dodson: We rented a dance floor for our wedding, they were easy enough to put together. The Grand Rental Station were easy enough to communicate with.
michelle earp: Rented linens for our wedding. Smooth reservations, pick up and drop off. Pricing was reasonable.
Amanda Myers: Great Experience and Helpful staffI cannot say enough good things. From the transparent and easy to use website, responsive and helpful staff, and great pricing, I truly cannot recommend Grand Rental Station enough. Thank you for accommodating our needs even so close to the event date and being so easy to work with!
Tama Coleman: Very disappointing experience. Buyer beware. I had signed a contract, but had not made the deposit. When I called back to do that - they told me - they could not accommodate my order.I found another company - luckily - who made sure they told me I needed to pay quickly or I would lose the tent...That is how this should have been handled. A quick call or an email saying I needed to pay immediately is what a real professional company would have done.
Genesis Burns: If I can give 0 stars I will . Rude and unprofessional !
Bridget P: Did well with Delbert and pickup and accommodating our venues mishaps. Although, I was not a fan of me being point of contact when I specially asked for them to contact my wedding planner. Other than that, communication was fair and rentals were up to standards.
Thomas Strickland: Cory and Charles arrived promptly and did a great job setting up. This place is very communicative with the best pricing around. They stay super busy so order in advance like we did. Wonderful experience all around.
Hatem Tagel-Din: I rented a helium tank from them. I thought I will be saving money this way. I was told I will pay for the amount I use of helium. No one ever checked the meter before I get the tank. I did not comment on this. When I returned it, they measured the meter I ended up paying $152 for less than 80 small size balloons (like 8-9 inches diameter) which almost double what I would have paid if I get two tanks from Walmart. I was told I used 800 units!!!. This was my first and last experience
Brandon Greene: These are my people! I've been renting various equipment for them for years. Miss the South Saunders St location. Prices are usually cheaper than those big name rental places. I can also honestly say if they don't have a piece of equipment available, they will call the competition (usually Holland) to see if they have it available for you! Now that's not only customer service, its understanding a customer's needs.
B C: Tons of great equipment and a friendly staff
Don Rodger: Always helpful and friendly.
J. J. Swick: These guys always treat me great and make it easy when I rent an aerator every Fall.
Ben Holladay: Helpful. Professional. Had exactly what I needed at a good price. Will be back.
jesse lecei: your in and out within 5 minutes tops. there stuff is in very good conditions and the price is fair. 10/10 definitely renting from here again.
Kordel Schaper: Best place to rent any equipment. Better pricing and open on Saturday
Max Garris: Grand Rental not only had the equipment that I needed, but the personnel that took the time to explain how to operate it safely. This was their large stump grinder and boy did it take the work out it.
