Cary School of Music: what do users think?
Rob F: I recently finished a semester of taking voice lessons at this school. I had a great experience with one of their teachers, and I'd like to address an earlier review from Lily:"...but when my work schedule became more intense and I couldn't make my lessons, Cary School of Music charged me anyway. They will not refund the money and will continue taking drafts out of my account until the end of the semester. That means over $500 in charges for no lessons at all. This school is not understanding that things come up in life..."I completely disagree with this review! Note that the school's policy of requiring students to commit to their set time schedule of lessons *in advance* was communicated clearly up front. You do not have to sign their agreement and provide bank details if you don't like that policy and can't see yourself committing to it steadfastly. This is a fair policy that respects the teacher's time commitment. Teachers are not automatons, like vending machines dispensing a product. They are human beings with a skillset that is in demand by many in the community. They commit to the same exact schedule that the student commits to - in advance. If the student can't make their slot(s), the teacher would not be paid if the student expected a refund for their missed lesson. That is simply not fair and, furthermore, the teacher *could* have had a different, more reliable student agree to that same time slot up front, which would have guaranteed that teacher the set income that they have an expectation to rely upon, as any skilled professional would for their valuable time. Furthermore, the school itself has upkeep/admin costs and have a right to expect that the slots of time for the use of their building and resources are paid for by all students, whether they can attend at the times they agreed to or not. When a student can't attend, that revenue would be lost unexpectedly if there were an expectation of a refund - and again, that revenue *could* have been guaranteed had a more reliable student committed to those same slots of time.I highly recommend this music school and I completely endorse their payment policy, mainly for the sake of the teachers who are their most valuable resource.
Joel Williams: Cary School of Music has the best qualified teachers of any music school in the Triangle Area....the atmosphere is great for both CSM students and their family... young children advance rapidly in their skills due to the outstanding teachers at CSM...truly a five-star music school on any scale
Amy Brantley: Cary School of Music is wonderful! My children have been taking lessons at CSM for years and have had wonderful experiences with their teachers and staff. Over the years, they’ve taken piano, flute and violin lessons. Their teachers have all been highly skilled, well-trained at leading music institutions, and share a passion for teaching and music. The staff is friendly, flexible and accommodating. I highly recommend CSM.
Brittany Jones: I have nothing but positive things to say about this school! The people that work there are equally passionate about music and children. I have seen members of this school, teachers and students alike, come together to use their talents to contribute to the local community through volunteer performances for local festivals, as well as at nursing homes. They put together choirs, string ensembles, bands and more. They really care about their community home.My daughter is in her 3rd semester of piano lessons with her teacher, Colin M. She is 5 years old and can not read words yet, but she can already read music thanks to her lessons. And the biggest testimony to her music studies is that it is the highlight of her week. She adores her teacher and just lights up every Friday when lesson time comes around. If you’re looking for a positive music experience for your children, look no further!
Catherine Keefer: CSM is the best! I took flute, piano and voice there as a high school student. They have the most friendly staff, and I loved all of my teachers. I also really enjoyed performing in their recital hall. Highly recommended for all ages!!!
Annika Christensen: I have been going to this school for a very long time, and I have gone from someone who couldn't do anything but sing and randomly play an out of tune guitar with no idea what I was doing to singing and playing Green Day as well as Dodie (she is literally impossible on the ukulele, so that is a crazy thing to say) Chris Boerner is my guitar teacher, he plays in multiple bands and for artists. He is the best guitarist I have ever personally seen, even better than those at concerts. Michael (for some reason I'm blanking his last name right now) is my voice teacher. I have so much fun in his class and my singing has improved SO MUCH! I completely recommend this school!
Tania Prezas: Good school. We have a really wonderful teacher, very knowledgeable and flexible. They organize recitals, a music festival.
Denise P: Speaking from painful experience, regarding specifically strings lessons, do yourself a favor and keep looking elsewhere!! This is not the place for you, if you want your child to develop in any meaningful/timely way, I couldn't believe the difference we noticed for our daughter till she switched to another place. The amount of advancement she made in the brief time she has been with the new teacher compared to this place/teacher is day and night. I feel like we got cheated on the precious time to develop with our daughter (while young). When you have another teacher to compare to, is when you realize the string teacher a this place was literally wasting 5-15 minutes of your child's class time every single time with superfluous things (like filling out his notebook etc). The amount of solid, quality teaching we are getting now as opposed to the lackluster, at a snail pace she got from this place is remarkable COMPARE COMPARE COMPARE is all i can say, don't waste your child's valuable years at this place!
Lily Brannigan: I am part of a family that has to work more than one job to do the things I want in life. One of the things I wanted was to take piano lessons, but when my work schedule became more intense and I couldn't make my lessons, Cary School of Music charged me anyway. They will not refund the money and will continue taking drafts out of my account until the end of the semester. That means over $500 in charges for no lessons at all. This school is not understanding that things come up in life. They operate in black and white and cannot see that life has more gray areas than not. I do not recommend this school unless you simply have money to burn.
Jennifer Fruend: Great school! I wish we had known about it sooner. My daughter has learned so much in only a few weeks.
Cary Desi: Pros: Very convenient location in Cary Downtown. They have a lot of teachers and options for our child to attend at different times.Cons: They will ask you to draft monthly payments from your checking account and SOMETIMES DOUBLE CHARGE your account. Please watch your account carefully if you enroll your child here. When we noticed the double charge and contacted them, they promptly refunded the amount. What if we had not noticed?

Melody Music Studios LLC: what do users think?
Michael Hudson: Wonderful experience.
Jason Pace: I took voice lessons with Lynn for 4+ years and she is great. She really understands the voice-mind-body connection and she was very effective in developing my vocal range. She makes lessons fun.
Robin Diehl: As an adult voice student, I couldn't ask for a more patient teacher. Lynn has been great to understand where I am as a singer and yet challenge me enough to want to learn and do better. Since I don't play piano, she is great about creating piano practice files for me to use each week. I would recommend Lynn for any level of voice student!
Larry Zafran: I've been taking piano and voice lessons with Lynn for over two years, and I continue to make tremendous progress with both. I highly recommend Lynn as a teacher.

High Range Piano: what do users think?
Jack Sayam: Positive:Communication,QualityDr. Fiess and Mr. Wegener have been incredible teachers who have helped immensely in my piano development. They are both knowledgeable and provide impeccable observation to help push my abilities further. I wholeheartedly recommend them for piano instruction.
Yang Wang: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy kids love their piano lessons at High Range Piano. I can see their progress after each lesson. Both teachers are very professional and good at teaching little kids. Highly recommended!
Laurie L: I am a retiree who resumed piano lessons after a 51 year break and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Steven Fiess. He is a talented musician and exceptional teacher. After such a long break, I have greatly appreciated how we have been able to review theory and sight reading while, at the same time, continuing to challenge my playing with more difficult material. Dr. Fiess is exacting and guides his student toward continuous improvement and mastery. He seems to carefully layer feedback so that it’s never overwhelming. I look forward to each class. I highly recommend Dr. Fiess. I am looking forward to his next studio class, an added bonus provided by Dr. Fiess and Mr. Wegener.
Deepak Castelino: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe have been sending our boys to learn piano from Mr Wegener and Dr. Fiess for two terms now and our experience has been nothing but exceptional. I highly recommend High Range Piano lessons for all ages because of their high quality teaching skills.
Hunter Stag: Dr. Stephen Fiess and Mr. Neal Wegener of High Range Piano are top of the line piano instructors. I am privileged to be taught by them. They are patient with you when they teach and can tailor lessons to student's specific needs. They have greatly improved my abilities at classical piano in under a year. I have learned much of both music theory and music history from them. The best part of their instruction are the frequent studio classes, where you get to perform pieces in front of other students and talk to these students about the joys of classical music. Even during the pandemic the instructors hosted zoom studio classes at least once every two months! The teachers are very flexible with rescheduling appointments. It has been an absolute joy to attend High Range Piano.

They always leave lessons eager to practice new music and excited for there next lesson.I really love the aspect of learning piano in a group. It provides a unique dynamic that benefits the kids and keeps things interesting.I highly recommend her class to anyone from begginer to more advanced. Her classes are afforadable and well worth it!

KinderVillage Music Studio: what do users think?
Tommy Briley: My daughter loves going to Kinder Village Music and Ms. Wendy is awsome at getting the kids engaged. She knows her students and the music selection takes advantage of learning with ears, eyes, and tangibly. I truthfully didn't think much of it until I noticed our lil girl was doing the things she was learning in her Saturday class the same way while at home. We ended up purchasing unit 1 and 2 music instruments which she gravitates to quite regularly. I should have thought of this idea for a buisness.
Ashley MacLachlan: We absolutely love KinderVillage and would give more than five stars if we could! We started taking Kindermusik classes there when my daughter was about 10 months old, and have no intentions of stopping any time soon! We have been in classes taught by both Ms. Phoebe and Ms. Susan and they are both wonderful, caring instructors who truly love their jobs and their students. We’ve also gotten to make some great friends through our Kindermusik classes, which is an added bonus! Our household is high risk but we feel very comfortable taking our daughter here in the middle of this pandemic, as they are doing everything they can to keep students and parents safe.
Glenda Colebrook: Great. Masks required. Mrs. Susan is a wonderful teacher. Office lady very nice
Keit Spahiu: Kindervillage is a great music school for all children. I cannot say enough good things about this school. All the teachers and staff are so nice! I have had a great experience with Miss Janice, Miss Susan, and Miss Michelle. My son Clancy just started piano lessons a few months ago and he is always looking forward to the classes. Miss Michelle was so nice that she even sent him a birthday card. We are so blessed to be part of this great learning environment. Thank you for everything you do!
Cassidy Pritchard: Have been bringing my infant son here for the last several months and cannot speak highly enough about the teachers and experience! He LOVES going and I can tell that his weekly class is really allowing him to thrive. He absolutely loves music and will start dancing at any beat he hears...and I think part of that is due to his class with Ms. Susan (our favorite teacher). I am thrilled to know his little love for music is being cultivated (didn't know it would be possible for an infant) and I'm excited for his future as a mini musician :)
M ReedMR: I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. The owners are amazing, and the programs are amazing! They instill a love for music in the kids that grows with them. We’ve been through the toddler music, young child, and are now in the group piano classes. It’s motivating for my daughter to practice having other children in her class, but the class is small enough (4 kids) where she gets individual attention. Special shout out to Ms Phoebe! 3
Autumn W: Phoebe is an amazing teacher and musician. She has a joyous, authentic way with kids. It's fun watching them light up in the presence of her enthusiasm! Phoebe has a rich musical background, and great love for her work.
Kelly Mueller: My 16 month old daughter and I have been going to Kindervillage since she was 8 months old. She loved the class for babies with Miss Julia and is now in the toddler class. Thank goodness Miss Julia also taught the toddler class because my daughter absolutely adores her! She gets so excited every time we park and the car and approach the studio. Miss Julia has been fantastic! All the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and talented, and they make attending music class a pleasure. We plan to continue for quite some time!
Kathryn Hammond: What an exceptional place! My 2&1/2 year old daughter can't wait to attend music class each week. We absolutely love it!
Julianne Capps: My three-year-old son has gone to nearly two years of Kindermusik with Mrs. Susan. He loved it so much, last fall we enrolled our daughter (now 15 months old) in the babies class, too. They both enjoy the singing, dancing, clapping, and playing instruments. Now, they hum and sing at home (adorable), have an appreciation of many different kinds of music, and have even learned to jump right into clean-up time when I sing the Kindermusik clean-up tune. I definitely feel Kindermusik has helped foster this appreciation of music in my children.
Donna Hart: We have been a loyal KinderVillage family for the past 5 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. My now 5 year old son started with Miss Julia in the Mommy & Me class when he was 3 months. Going to that class was such a wonderful bonding experience for us and I can't say enough good things about Ms Julia - she kept the class fun for both the babies & the parents - we never just sat there; we were constantly up and down, dancing, singing, playing instruments and having a ball! Ms Julia was born to be a music teacher and her love of both music and children was evident in every class. I was so sad when my son aged out of the Mommy & Me classes, for I truly enjoyed that special time with him.Luckily however, we were able to continue his musical education with Ms. Phoebe, and she has been wonderful. My son absolutely adores her and looks forward to going to class every week. She's loving, energetic and really relates well to her students.
Amy B: We love coming to classes at KinderVillage Cary! The staff is great and the instructors are amazing! My 4 year old son absolutely loves it. I had wanted him to get into classes earlier but I just kept putting it off. Wish I had done it sooner! He has learned so much and has really developed an appreciation for music. And the classes are fun! I enjoy going as much as he does. Couldn't be happier with them.
Susan Tyagi: We attend the Kindermusik Village class for babies with Miss Julia. My one year old loves the music, singing, dancing and rhythms. What a wonderful way to strengthen the development in babies with the gift of music!
Kara Coleman: KinderVillage in Cary has been such an amazing experience for our family. My son was in Miss Julia's class three years ago and we are now back with my almost two year old daughter. The classes are well planned and thought out, all while being flexible enough to "read" the group each day and adjust for what's best for the children. Kindermusik is engaging and educational. Highly recommend!
Jenae Delayen: We could not be happier with KinderVillage Kindermusik! All of the teachers we have had are fabulous and have been so kind to my little one. The lesson plans are thoughtful and I love that the kids get to play with real instruments every class. We have been going to class for over a year and will continue!
Luma Kennedy: This has been an intensely positive experience for my high energy four year old boy. He has responded really well to the Kindermusik method of teaching through play while nurturing the imagination. Miss Susan's background in music, her experience in child development, along with her exciting and loving personality keeps him on task and more focused. He has retained so much musical knowledge in a short period of time and is consciously using music to calm himself down and to connect with others.
Margaret Janiszewska: Great music school for kids. My 2 year old really enjoy the classes. Very friendly environment, great teachers. Mrs. Julia and Mrs Susan are the best!
Carla Mantilla Blanzuoli: Kindervillage in Cary is a great music school for kids. My two boys enjoy playing piano and have developed love for music. The teachers are great and the environment is positive-
Stephanie Raeman: My son loves KinderVillage Music Studio. It's a more immersive environment than other music programs, with exposure to real instruments. At 2.5 yo, he surprised others by correctly identifying a trumpet and cymbals in a recorded song. Attending classes at KinderVillage Music Studio has helped him become independent, responsible, and respectful of others. He has also made lots of friends in class and simply adores his teacher, Ms. Susan.
Amber Kendall: My son has been taking Kindermusik classes here for three years, and Kinder Village is awesome. We started with the toddler and preschool classes where the parents participate, and we've now graduated to the Young Child classes, which he takes with a small group of 4-6 year-olds. When he's old enough, we will transition him into piano lessons, but these earlier classes provide a great foundation in not only musical theory but also music appreciation and literacy. Our favorite teacher is Miss Susan, who is incredible and seems to know every student and family at the studio. I also recommend the summer classes, which are scheduled on a month-by-month basis, so you can work around vacation.
Jillian Goldstein: My family loves KinderVillage! This is our second year attending the toddler class with Miss Susan. The class has a wonderful teacher, great music, a clean and warm atmosphere, and is tons of fun! The children are constantly engaged with so many different activities. The music itself is also very catchy, and we find ourselves singing songs from the class randomly during our days. Our makeups with the other teachers have also been wonderful. Cannot recommend KinderVillage enough!

Dryer Music School: what do users think?
Joan Smemoe: My boys(9, 12) have been studying piano under Kellis in the Dryers Music Studio for the past 4 years. We had studied with 3 other teachers in the Cary area and we could not be happier finding Kellis. I totally see my kids studying under her until moving away to college!Kellis is a classically trained pianist. Her piano curriculum includes not only the piano playing techniques but also the musical theory and history about the pieces and the composers. She has a perfect balance of being nice and stern. She is extremely patient, however, she also sets clear expectations on practice. She encourages and prepares her students to compete in various piano competitions and festivals as ways to push and challenge them. She also participates in the National Guild program where students work towards a set of goals every year to continue to improve themselves.Annually she holds two formal recitals, as well as informal duet parties and other charitable performances. Whether you are a beginner looking for causal learning as a hobby, or a serious player looking to advance your skills, I would highly recommend Kellis from the Dryer Music Studio.
Gita Sari: My daughter started learning piano from Mrs. Dryer (Kellis) since Jan 2016 after we moved from Ohio.Kellis is a passionate piano teacher. She has a good curriculum for her students.I could tell the difference the way my daughter played the piano just 3 months after she learned from her.My daugther has progressed a lot in her technical skill now.My daughter loves her because she is a nice person, always gives a nice comment while maintaining a high standard and patience with my daughter. The most important thing is my daughter loves the music & the composers behind the songs because of her.We are so lucky to have Kellis as our daughter’s piano teacher.
Jing Lin - parent: Mrs. Dryer is very kind and patient. My daughter has matured a lot in both piano technical skills and strategies coping with stage fright since taking lessons with Mrs. Dryer for more than two years. Highly recommend!
Campbell Family: My daughter enjoys attending extra classes at the Dryer Music School. Her skill has greatly improved during her two years there. The Dryers are very kind and friendly instructors. Highly recommend.

Village Music School: what do users think?
RamPrasath Rajasekaran: Excellent school for learning all forms of music. Professional teachers and friendly admin staff.
Dipti: Love Simon studio 9.
Rick Klevans: Excellent teachers and staff.
Venkat Raghavan S: Nice and courteous teachers. Been with them for over 3 years, but finally got frustrated with the admin/front desk personnel. Indifferent policies that are not student friendly. Good luck with trying to reschedule. Also, Expensive considering other similar local options. Better off working with individual teachers - cheaper, more accommodative and don’t need to deal with a discourteous and unfriendly staff.
Bob Shutts: Friendly, responsive staff. Cozy atmosphere for music lessons.
Santha Kumar: Center's policies are not flexible. Quality of teaching obviously differs by the teachers we choose. Recitals are done in smaller groups.

Olga Urick Piano Studio Rose Point Dr: what do users think?
Jane Hu: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Jay GoldEagle: We found Ms. Olga Urick about a year and a half ago at a time my daughter's interest in piano began to wane. At that time, my daughter was still getting awards from piano competitions. But we had to keep nudging her for daily practicing. Finding another teacher back then was an attempt my wife and I made to see if we could keep my daughter excited about piano playing.I'm glad we found Ms. Olga Urick. The 1st time we met her at her studio, we could tell she was very sincere about her piano teaching. She had this gorgeous studio that is professionally appointed with one grand Steinway and one grand Boston in the middle. We quickly ended our search and decided to let my daughter go with Ms. Olga Urick.Fast forward a year and a half later, my wife and I are very glad we found Ms. Olga Urick. She has been a very professional piano teacher! Her piano sessions are always organized. She gives clear instructions to my daughter about her assignments after the sessions. She is not just teaching my daughter to play the piano. She gives her musical education! In addition to regular piano sessions, her studio also has many master classes throughout the year with other known pianists coming to these classes. When there are competitions or performances in the community, Ms. Olga Urick always puts in great effort to make sure these events go very smoothly and save students and parents a lot of time and worries!Whether my daughter will be a pianist or not in the future, one thing I know for sure is that she'll not complain that we have chosen Ms. Olga Urick as her piano teacher.
fang xie: Great piano learning experiences with Olga in her lovely studio!
非凡假期: This studio is a warm and welcoming community with frequent recitals and other events so the musicians and families have many opportunities to interact and perform for each other。Ms Olga is a treasure among piano teachers who truly cares about giving students the tools they need to understand music and enjoy music for the rest of their lives. I like the way that Ms Olga does not focus on training a piano player but teaches the kids to enjoy the music along with playing.I can't imagine having a better teacher. I highly recommend Ms Olga as a teacher for aspiring pianists of all ages and all levels that are interested in learning Piano.
Larisa Fayuk: Positive:ProfessionalismThe studio is gorgeous, and Olga is a bright, enthusiastic person!
