Derrick Hart: Our family began looking into putting in a swimming pool in fall of 2021. We have kids that love being in the water and thought it would be a good way to increase our outdoor activity in the backyard. After reaching out to about 8-10 contractors to discuss our project, we decided to go with Carolina Creations. We wanted a fiberglass pool because of the ease of maintenance and speed of install. Upon our first meeting with Andy, I really appreciated that he 1) came to our site early before we decided to choose them, 2) he provided 3d renders and included decking layouts in a timely fashion 3) he was very responsive to emails usually with same day responses. Other builders we had talked to were slow to respond and would only snip pool shape into our survey. After some discussion, we selected a pool from Imagine Pools and signed the contract In November. With lead times being strained, they installed our pool in March 2022 which I was very happy about. The install went pretty smoothly aside from a ton of rain the day after dig day. The overall installation including decking took about 5 weeks and they were very communicative throughout the process. Jeff (owner) and his team are very professional and were on site consistently throughout the process. We are very pleased with the completed install and the kids have had a blast even when the air temps were in the 60’s. Dave Matusik: So happy to have found this pool service! They are true professionals - clear communication, always prepared and go above and beyond. Aqua Squad opened our saltwater pool this year and it has stayed crystal clear the entire time (not easy when you have lots of surrounding trees) - this is truly the first time we have had zero issues with maintaining a clean, comfortable pool for the whole swim season. They even replaced a failed filter sensor on the spot, not requiring a separate visit or to order a part. Aqua Squad has made owning a pool easy and pleasant.

Jim Hanlin: COVID has negatively effected the supply chain for lots of products including hot tubs. We tried to buy a new one but didn't want to wait a year for delivery so we called Aqua Squad to repair our 14 year old Hydro Spa. Shelby changed out both pumps and the main circuit board and it's good as new for about one-tenth the price of a new one. It was easy to schedule an appointment with Aqua Squad and Shelby showed up on time and was very professional and skilled in his diagnosis and repair. He also had the pumps in stock. He had to order the circuit board but it only took a few days and the price of the board was less than one-half of what I found it for online. If you need pool or spa service, I highly recommend Aqua Squad.

Nancy Qiu: I would like to share my bad experience with this pool company. I highly do not recommend their service and here’s why:Time and time again they overcharged me. I did not know at the time because we continued their pool services when purchased the house from previous owner, but now I went with another’s service, I can see that they overcharged me significantly on everything, sand filter, chemicals and weekly cleaning services.One time after a pool service it rained soon after. To my horror the entire pool turned black on the bottom. I called in for their professional assessment, without asking anymore questions other than what I have described, they told me that it was a heavy metal staining. Then they asked me to buy expensive chemicals at their suggested Amazon store and it made no difference. I relayed this information back to them and they still insisted they were metal stains even after I sent them the photos. Luckily a friend came to visit and saw my pool, right away he said this is an algae growth. With some googling and my friend’s suggestion I figured out that it was indeed an algae growth. When I confronted them again asking what is this black stuff at the bottom of my pool, I told them that I’m pretty sure this is algae. That time they bothered to ask whether if the black stuff moved if I try to wipe it off with my hand. I said yes, and right away they change their narrative. This incident clearly says that they intentionally mislead me when they knew what was going on. And this algae growth shouldn’t even happen in the first place had they clean the pool properly.Most ridiculous that they even claimed that the salt cell needs to be replaced after the algae episode. When I asked how much it would cost to replace, again they quoted a unbelievable high price. Now with a new pool company I am using , I was told the salt system works perfectly and has no issues at all.Time and time again, this company has taken advantage of us being new of pool maintenance and the trust for their professionalism. It shows Aqua Squad has no integrity to serve their customers, absolutely untrustworthy!Now I terminated their services and no longer have any wish to work with them in the future. They still have my gate key, although they said they mailed it back, nothing ever came in the mail, which I frankly believe that they most likely threw it away and lied about returning it.

I have been less than happy, and downright frustrated, with the majority of them. I was very excited to find Aqua Squad several years ago. Shelby and Olga have been dreams to work with. They just do what they say they are going to do, which is a rare thing these days. Shelby has had to replace various parts of the tub as they wear out but I never feel that he is doing anything unnecessary or charging me for things that don’t need to be done. It is a real feeling of comfort to know that I have such a reliable and competent business to help me keep this old tub running like a champ!

Robert Hogan: My Hot Tub was tripping the main breaker, and not heating up or even powering up for more than a minute. I called, and the Aqua Squad team (Shelby), was out to my home the very next day, Shelby and his associate were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Shelby worked throughout the morning to troubleshoot the issue, and present me with options. My Hot Tub is over 12 years old, but still in great physical condition, and the manufacturer (Baja) is no longer in business. Shelby stated he started his career on Baja Hot Tubs, and knew them from top to bottom. He said he could utilize a retrofit kit, and make it as good as new for a fraction of what it would cost to replace. The office manager and possibly owner (Olga) then [honed me to follow-up, and we worked out terms that were excellent. I definitely recommend Aqua Squad for anyone experiencing issues with their Hot Tub....They are a great team!!!

I also wanted to make sure all of the equipment was set up and programmed correctly.Shelby came out and identified a couple of issues and addressed them for a fair price. He also showed me how to properly vacuum the pool and explained how chemicals and testing ACTUALLY work so I could properly take care of the pool.If you just had a pool installed and want piece of mind or even if you still have your installer on site and need some back up to make sure all is being done correctly- call them. They also cleaned the pool and treated it for me a couple of times - they will be who I call if I need help cleaning or balancing.I can't recommend Aqua Squad enough.

After they left, though, I noticed the smell of something burning. Uh oh. Turned everything off right away and called them back. You would think this would lead to a negative review - a "repair" that replaced one problem with another. But Aqua Squad's response was so simple and perfect: they came back first thing in the​ morning the next day, fixed the problem for free, and left with a smile. THAT is what I call great customer service. And my hot tub is up and running great. They've earned my loyalty.
