Capital Vacuum Floor-Care World: what do users think?
Laura Shivar: Capital Vacuum carries quality products and services those products in-house too, unlike big box stores. I have been a customer of theirs for years. I recently purchased a Sebo canister vacuum there because they are experienced and knowledgeable about all their product lines and could help me compare different brands and models to find the best fit for my needs. As an authorized Sebo dealer, they offered an extended 10 year warranty on my canister’s motor and that gives me confidence I am purchasing a vacuum that will last me for many years to come.
Veeda Yudeen: Am revising my one star rating, based on recent feedback from Sharon, one of the owners: that person is no longer with the company, so, I am giving 5 stars to this Cary store and its management, which is what I would have expected for all the excellent customer service I have received previously for over two decades. My previous review:"The man behind the counter who finally returned my calls after many attempts to reach someone began by saying that my phone was busy for an hour, which was a total lie...as I had not been on the phone at all until he called back...and then he was rude and sounded condescending in his answer, telling me he had to see the vacuum first, and abruptly hung up.I actually purchased my Miele Vacuum from this store 22 years ago and have been very pleased with everyone behind the counter for their courteous and professional service over the past two decades. But after today, I am not inclined to either get it repaired there nor purchase a new Miele vacuum at this store if it means having to deal with this obnoxious man."
Daphne Rivers: I have used this store and location for over 20 years in Cary. They have great products and service. Sharon, one of the owners, is awesome. The current guy that works in the Cary location is extremely rude and condescending. I refuse to go in there if he is working. When I have a question about my vacuum and bring it in…..He states that I obviously did not read the manual and I was the second person that came in asking the same question. He then proceeds to get into an argument with me. I never get into arguments with anyone except him.
Ellen Doyle: I purchased a Miele canister vac here in Jan 2021, trying to support local small business in my town. It took great effort as the store was closed during normal business hours during multiple attempts in December 2020. I purchased a vacuum that was assembled and did not get an instruction manual (they couldn't find it). I looked up features and care online. Have been thrilled with the vacuum. Returned in March when I realized a large particle filter was missing from the dust bin (I have a bagless). The man working at the store was not knowledgeable about the machine, unhelpful and almost rude. I could have just ordered the part online for $31. He wanted $49.99 to order it. He offered no excuse or apology for the missing part. Just lots of criticism and complaints. I won't bother trying to support small local business when they treat you like this.
gerald gamble: Good place to shop
Marci Copeland: Very friendly and professional quality service! Fixed my 10+ year old vacuum back to like-new condition.
Jack Smith: Very helpful staff.
Krystal Lee: Salesman was great, highly recommend!
Marvin Suarez: We came in looking for a new vacuum. Although we arrived shortly before the store was closing Steve was willing and ready to help up. He was not only knowledgeable about all of their products but was also honest and open in steering us to the best value. I would highly recommend Steve and Capital Vacuum for his outstanding service and product knowledge!
Alexis Pettaway: Awesome customer service
John dempsey: I had such a great experience. The customer service was first rate. Steve took the time to explain how the different vacuums worked and helped us at every step of the process.
Kim Vite: These people know their products very well. They have always been pleasant to do business with. They are the only store we go to for our vacuum needs - for the past 15 yrs. I highly recommend them!
Chris Willis: Great support looking for the right solution to our vacuum cleaning requirements. Knowledgeable and personable. Did our product registration with purchase and a tutorial on the use and set up.
Suzette Klein: Steve was very friendly and helpful with my purchase. The prices for vacuum cleaners are extremely over priced! However, the prices are the same via other websites.
Debbie Brookover: Excellent service year after year.
Ralph Wild: I moved to Cary, NC in 1982, just before the big growth spurt started and needed a new vacuum cleaner. Found Capital Vacuum at 209 East Chatham in the yellow pages (remember them?). The place looked like it had already been around for quite awhile. Now in 2021 I needed a new heavy-duty vacuum just for carpets. Being vacuum cleaner-impaired, felt I needed to talk to a human about my situation rather than some Internet Bot so I headed once again to Capital Vacuum, still there on East Chatham. After finishing up with his current customer, a gentleman roughly my own age listened to my account of the death of my prior vacuum and list of perceived needs and pondered the situation. All that was wrong with the old unit is that the band that drove the rotating brush in the carpet head kept coming loose and burning up just about every time I used it. Capital was the only place, Internet included, that I could find to get them and the last time I stocked up said they were no longer in production. Of course, the whole assembly had already been out of production for years. So what I needed was basically a motorised carpet brush attached to a powerful vacuum motor. And that was exactly what the gentleman showed me. Said it was the cheapest thing they had and that the “commercial” version sold like crazy to local cleaning service companies. The commercial version has a three-prong plug and no light versus a light and two-prong plug, plus a more artful paint job on the “home” version. Same price for either.Once he had showed me this model, the salesman just about flat refused to show me anything else saying things like “that’s all you need,” “no, that’s too expensive,” etc. His manner was such that I barely managed not to troll the guy to see how far he would go to kept me from buying anything else. Of course, he was right- what he had first shown me was exactly what I needed so I was on my way with the commercial version under my arm and a smile on my face.
Sandy Miller: Steve was knowledgeable, helpful, very efficient, and had a wonderful sense of humor! Steve explained all the work that he needed to do on it and the vacuum cleaner looks like new - and it really “sucks”!
Kathy Heinkel: Steve was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very informative during my selection of a Miele vacuum. I was able to get my new Miele vacuum at a great sale price with extra attachments for my furry babies at home. I’m excited to use my new vacuum and attachments! Thanks Steve for making my shopping experience safe, efficient, and a great value.
Gregory Topp: Good and patient explanations and demo of the vacuum we purchased. Steve took care of us....
Denise Miller: Very honest! Didn't have to waste time. The gentleman who helped me was swift even while taking other calls. Extremely happy. Last vacuum lasted for 15 years and I purchased it here.
Oscar Davis: Steve was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. What a great purchase Thanks

Harbour's Sew & Vac: what do users think?
Robert Phillips: Very helpful place to shop. Recommended for your sewing and vacuuming needs.
Sacuanjoche: Excellent service!
Karen Davis: He gave me a terrific deal and he was so friendly and pleasent. I'll go to him over and over.
Mary Leong: I brought my Oreck cannister in and owner didn't have a small attachment piece but he worked with my vacuum and pieces together an attachment. He only changed a small fee. Went there several times and also bought thread and needles for reasonable fees.
Tracy Beinke: The owner is amazing . He is so helpful and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else !
Hariharan Gopalan: Norman was super helpful. He helped me solve a pestering issue with the Singer 533!! Thanks so much!
Tracy Grosner: Scott did an amazing job! I took my 1970s Singer touch and sew machine in for a seized wheel. He was able to fix it in the same day. It sews better than ever. I’ll definitely be back!
Michelle Pavliv: So very disappointed. My recent experience at Harbour's Sew & Vac was all about terrible customer service. I dropped of my Singer machine because it would not start. I paid $20 a diagnostic fee in advance. I got a call the next day, telling me the reason it wouldn't start is because the walking foot I had on the machine wouldn't allow it to go through the set-up. The caller told me I needed not use that particular walking foot and I could pick up my machine.Much to my surprise, when I came to pick up my machine, I was being charged an additional $87 for a tune-up. I had my machine tuned-up just a few months back (by Harbour Sew & Vac). When I explained that this was not what I was told on the phone and I had not authorized a tune-up. I was not told about any additional expense. I stated this was totally unexpected and not good customer service. The response of the (non-mask wearing) clerk, was "Well then, I'll just keep your machine if you don't want to pay for it." as he dragged it behind the counter. In addition to the unexpected expense, I certainly didn't expect to have my machine held hostage. He said he didn't know what the owner told me, and he couldn't reach him, besides, he just works there. When you service an appliance, you expect an estimate of work to be done, prior to authorizing said work. When you question the business about their charges, you should be met with a reasonable discussion and not rudeness. I will no longer do business with Harbour's Sew & Vac and suggested others reconsider before selecting them
Matthew Taggart: Went in to get some assistance tuning my machine for ultra-lightweight fabric, as I'm having some issues with puckering. Unfortunately, they don't offer a service for walking through tensioning the machine to match the fabric. Only service he offered was a $99 servicing which isn't what I was looking for. Also, the employee had no mask on. I like supporting small businesses, but won't go out of my way to spend $ there if they don't have the courtesy to don a mask. Also, a customer came in unmasked during my brief visit. This is at a time when covid-19 cases are surging in NC and around the nation.
Phyllis Rios: I took my Janome Sewing machine here when it crashed and seized. Scott was very knowledgeable and knew what the problem was. He quoted me a price and timeframe and kept to both. I was very pleased with his work and would highly recommend him. He even showed me how to better care for my machine, which I greatly appreciate. Thanks, Scott! I’m back in business!!!😷😷😷
Emily Haas: I have a vintage Singer 66 and it recently stopped working correctly. I knew nothing about sewing machines, so I googled and saw this store offered sewing machine repair. I brought my machine in today. The gentleman working was very nice and knowledgeable. He showed me how to clean the machine, how to open it to put in oil, and how various things worked. I went home and did what he told me, and my machine is now working great. Thank you so much for your great customer service! I feel like I can now take proper care of my machine and use it better.
UniQuely Dominiquely: Great and kind people.
Devyn Marsh: Super friendly. We inherited a sewing machine from family but unfortunately it was not kept in the best condition. It was beyond repair but we were able to buy a new one and he gave us a huge discount and I couldn't be happier
Jordan Shaw: Fantastic shop! Super quick service, and kind staff. I will absolutely be sending everyone I know to them and I recommend them 100%
Kimberly Bowers: Have taken my embroidery machine there for several years. Recently I took it in and continued to have issues. I took it in again and it turns out there was a problem with my threading the machine. They checked out again at no charge even though the problem was me, not the machine. I appreciate the customer service.
Emilie S: I took my New Home Mode sewing machine in because the bobbin winding mechanism on the top of the machine came apart. I opened the machine and specifically pointed out to the clerk the part that I'd reassembled and asked to have it checked for proper reconstruction. When I went to pick up the machine I found that the tension knob had been taken apart which isn't the part that needed to be fixed! Shock compounded by sticker shock at the repair cost. There was no need to touch the tension knob. I asked to wind a bobbin and then also to sew with the new tension knob. It failed to work correctly with poor stitching on the bobbin side. The bobbin winding part on the top of the machine hadn't been touched.Upon returning second time the bobbin winding mechanism had also been replaced. He told me the machine was 40 years old and what did I expect. Well, 35 years is actual fact and if I used it 35 times in 35 years that's a lot. It worked fine to sew. No way these parts needed replacing from over use. The machine contains all metal parts so there's no flimsy plastic getting brittle with age. And I oil it on the occasions that I use it.I asked to wind a bobbin and it failed to wind correctly. It looked exactly like the "incorrect" bobbin winding in the manual that I keep with the machine. He told me it was fine but when I showed him the picture of "correct" and "incorrect" he had to agree. The repairman adjusted it in my presence. As I said only the bobbin winding holder on the top needed reassembly. Turns out Sears sells the replacement spring for $3.99. The check spring, which is the part the repairman told me was broken necessitating replacement of the tension knob is still being made and costs $4.99.I was charged over $60 for the repair. The machine only cost $150 new! It would be one thing if I'd been called and had the opportunity to discuss the repair in advance. In my opinion it's unprofessional to embark upon repairs before discussing them with the owner. Now I've learned more about sewing machine parts than I ever wanted to learn. And I also learned NOT TO GO TO THIS REPAIR STORE if anything ever goes wrong with my machine in the next 35 years.
Theresa McLaughlin: Great service.
Joan K: Every time I've had a problem with my sewing machines, fixed every time.

The Home Depot: what do users think?
Julianna Bellingrath: Bought dirt. Tasted bad
Greg Totherow: This Home Depot always seems to have the best selection in the area. The service for my pickup was super fast and the person who loaded my car was friendly!
Bryant Tant: Manager is not very good
David Brodie: I visit frequently... Multiple times a day.... It's a very frustrating place to visit
Jody Colp: Always awesome, but economy is making everything expensive, can hardly afford to walk in the door
Candice Cutler: Good location of this store with very helpful employees!
Db Mills: Pretty reliable over the long term.
sasha wilkins: Great location and well stocked with the items we needed.
Xinran Li: The only contractor with Home Depot is ARS for installing new HVAC unit in Raleigh area. However, they provide really poor job.ARS installed a brand new HVAC unit at end of March. It has been repairing for at least 7 times wasted days of our time. As now, June 5, my air conditioner is still waiting for parts. The cover/hood left wide open. The manager Brandon promised us they will replace the cover and install the missing parts. But they never do. Brandon also ignores our call and messages. Till, it has been 6 weeks since we talk to the manager Brandon. Nothing has been done.Besides, the technician damaged the coil fins while they were "repairing" the brand new unit they just installed, and they are not promising to repair it.In the contract, they promised to refund and remove the unit within one year if we are not satisfied with their product and service. When I request refund, they just sent a technician, talk to you and promising to repair, which is something they never does.I heard ARS is a good company for plumbing. However, for HVAC installation and repair, they are not professional based on what they did, such as misconnecting wires during installation which damages the outside unit, failed to repair, ignoring costumers and not being responsible, not following the contract.
Punniamoorthy C: Good
Katrina Farris: Plant selection is lacking. Need more native plants. The soil has been good. Very good customer service
Mitchell Mills: Bought a Milwaukee combo set was sent all over the place and told to pay more money than the cable stapler for my free battery then the lady acted like I didn’t wanna pay and I explained I already had she said it was canceled while I was driving there even though the one in Cary called both stores are at fault I went from 245 dollars to 350 and they tried saying they couldn’t cancel my order. Absolute hot garbage wasting 4 hours of my day
Thomas Holley: Great Location, convenient, garden center was well stocked today, as it is planting season 🌳😁Home Depot location is usually busy on the weekends and still manages to offer friendly customer service.
Emir Akins: Picked up a new shovel for a project. I didn't have to look forever for it and they had several to choose from.
Robert Phillips: Quick, courteous service.Got 2 Rubbermaid trash cans for yard waste.Good value.
Kevin Brown: Customer service at this store is becoming bottom of the barrel. I asked for help at 3:30pm. Waited 15 minutes and no one came. An unrelated employee came down the hardware aisle from plumbing but was moving at about 1/2 mph and not helpful. I needed a shorter threaded rod than I had found there . After 5 more minutes of him meandering the aisle , he told me the longer version they sold (already in my hand) couldn’t be cut there. I was super surprised in the lack of intent to help or ability to resolve the issue. Instead he tried to sell me a hacksaw to make one cut. Super disappointed….
Helen Zhou: We went there yesterday and were impressed by the beautiful plants, worth going there and bringing something back to your garden this Spring.
olman rose: Great place to find what you need to improve your home
TALIA Will Tell Ya: Found Everything & Decently Priced!
Marta alicia Martinez quintanilla: Muy surtido casi en todo te lo recomiendo

I will definitely be returning to purchase more when my business expands very soon!! Thank you so much!
Louellen Jones: Roger was very knowledgeable about the products. He sold me by his personality. He showed me how to properly operate the vacuum. With guidance and suggestions from Roger I ended up choosing a Sebo vacuum.I spent the vast amount of my work life working in retail and in todays world you just don't find too many sales persons like Roger or even business like Capital Vacuum.I couldn't wait to get home to try out my new purchase. It performed flawlessly!!Thanks Roger and Capital vacuum. Highly recommend Capital Vacuum for your repair/service needs as well as questions about the best solutions to your cleaning needs.
Michael Lochner: I am very happy with my service!!
Maria Tierney: The sales person (Roger) was very knowledgeable about the different machines and explained all of the options very well. It was never “high pressure” sales tactics- which I really appreciated- and he was very understanding when I said I needed to think about all of the information. When I went back to make my purchase, he explained everything again about the machine I was getting- highly recommend this company!

Lowe's Home Improvement: what do users think?
Brian Taber: Decent Lowes. Staff is always more helpful than Home Depot
Ken Boone: They had what I went there for and a employee took me to where it was on a shelf. This time I was looking for a sump pump and went where I thought they would be and a employee there pointed out the location in the next isle.
Terri Moore: Love Lowes! I wanted a specific rug that was in stock but couldn't find it so I picked another and they gave it to me for same price!! And I got my military discount. I love my new rug for my patio. Thank you.
Thomas Holley: Great, convenient location and the customer service is great!
Harlan Stafford: Limited display on house shutters and front doors. Lowes wants to be everything for everyone. It's not working.
Julie Carlino: No staff checkouts anymore. Staff I did find were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Zane B: Worst experience with Lowes in Cary NC especially with Isaiah.I had a digital receipt from Garner Lowes. I tried to return cable and breaker to Lowes in Cary NC .But customer service couldn’t locate the order, So I was taking things back. Once I try to leave a store lowes representative named Isaiah wouldn’t let me go out of store. I told him that I have receipt online and it was return stuff. He wouldn’t take my word and treated me like I’m thief and acted to detain me. To prove my innocence he made me walk with him back to customer service. CS was helpful by disproving Isaiah suspicion of me stealing stuff. Then I asked his name and then immediately he tried to act smart with me by explaining his point instead of apologizing me of his actions. I immediately said ‘no’ and he replied with mean tone ‘have a good day sir’ at my back. Overall worst experience with Isaiah with handling the situation. Customer service tried to help me but Isaiah needs some training on how to deal with customer rather than acting smart with words and stopping them up front with a stance of snatching a bag if I try to leave. This is another review about mistreatment with another customer. Hopefully corporate catches this wrongdoing with his lowes customers.
NIL BASU: Good selections!
Greg Totherow: This is basically my local Lowe's Home Improvement. Their garden section is always stocked with seasonal plants snd flowers. They have order ahaed and pickup in the store or curbside pickup that usually works pretty well. As far as Lowe's goes, this is probably the best one in this area.
B Cash: Picked up pool salt and garden soil, easy to find made a quick visit convenient!
Libby Melugin: Outstanding service today from 4 different folks... Jamie, Isis, Alyssa, and Justin... from helping us find an item to troubleshooting a upc glitch... friendly and helpful.
Dave C: Very knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Gabe Filomena: I went in for hardware. as usual, I spend 30 minutes looking to not find anything so I go and ask someone for help, and they said "I'll have someone meet you in hardware". no one did so I found Brian in the paint section. asked him if he'd be willing to help and he was.as we were walking over to hardware, I explained what I was looking for (10/32 3" long flat head bolt and nylon nuts). we struggled to find what I was looking for. throughout our search, he held a personal conversation to better understand what I needed. he ended up finding something similar that would work absolutely fine and I went on my way.overall, he seemed happy to help. he understood that hardware is a pain to look through, he asked what I was making and found a solution I wouldn't have thought of.I rarely see this kind of service anymore, anywhere. I feel people are working for money rather than doing what they want to do. Lowe's might not be Brian's dream job, but he made my experience as a customer more than satisfactory, because he acted like a person first, before an employee. I legitimately felt like I asked a friend to find something. he didn't go out of his way or nothing, but you can tell when someone does their job well, and he did spectacularly
aaron live: Lowes is my preferred big box hardware store.
Wayne B: Most ridiculous counter installation process ever. Lost count of the number of documents signed. Never got a reasonable estimate of install. Price increased by 50% from the first estimate to the final. What's the point of the first estimate?Had my deposit for 5+wks. I used to like Lowes. And refunding the money will take 3-10 business days! What? Pretty sure they dinged my account day 1.
sailee wadke: Love this place..Great for plants
Nolan Gould V: Improvement HS
Brad Still: Great paint samples; you can get pont sized samples at reasonable prices. Easy stop in if you need a key made at the kiosk machine it's great
Robin Mehera: Typical Lowe’s. Friendly staff, huge selection of home improvement needs and great prices.
Mark S: Quick trip for some caulk
Kyron Jones: Breakfast
