Cindy Young: Family Medical Supply was a great local company until they were bought out by Adapt Health in August 2020. Since then, the quality of service has plummeted, and now when you call, you can't talk to the local store - you get an out-of-state call center. I've been a physician in Cary for 18 years, and this is easily the worst DME company I've had to deal with. I've sent orders for multiple patients which have been either ignored or lost completely. Currently have an elderly paralyzed patient who needs a hospital bed, and Family Medical Supply delivered a mattress but no bedframe. Seriously? Do you expect that the patient is going to lie on the mattress on the floor? The original prescription for a hospital bed was sent OVER ONE YEAR AGO, I have also sent duplicate prescriptions, and we are now calling weekly only to be given the same excuses every week. Truly extraordinarily incompetent. If your insurance allows you to go literally anywhere else, I highly recommend you use a different DME company.

jcconway: Be careful when ordering a CPAP machine here. The local Family Medical Supply staff is nice, but they are owned by big health company called Adapt Health. I was told that insurance would cover a big portion of my machine only to learn later that was not true. Also, Adapt Health will try to convince you to buy supplies for your machine that are excessive and double the cost of what the same items cost online. Also, their billing process/invoices are confusing. Amounts billed each month jump all around, and the invoices do not make clear what items the charges relate to. I have a new machine, which is working great, but I paid way more than originally told and had to ask several times for Adapt Health to stop calling me to ask that I order more supplies, which again are ridiculously priced. Make sure you get in writing EXACTLY what your machine will end up costing out of pockets and get them to provide the insurance company pre-authorization and details of exactly how much they will cover. If they can't guarantee it in writing, expect to pay way more than you are told up front.

Paul Altman: Really comfortable, well built, power chair this is. I’ve been using it for nearly a year now, sitting, reclining, watching tv and occasionally sleeping in the chair and it is excellent. It’s a comfortable seat, with big plush arm rests (nearly tables), and iron clad and attractive material that is virtually stain proof. No issues with the raising and lowering mechanism, after a lot of use and hopefully it continues to work perfectly- unchanged. Great white glove delivery by Ben of NC Mobility, who is also friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful concerning this and all the products he handles.

A few days ago, the walker I use most broke catastrophically. I called Mr. Dressen. He came over later that same day with a walker I could rent temporarily, While he was here he spent over an hour using parts from another walker to repair the walker that broke. He came to our home to measure my husband for his custom wheelchair, had it delivered to our home when it was ready, and has sent a service tech to our home to adjust it when we needed that done. Cadice is pleasant, a real people person, and highly effective at the front desk. She even brought equipment to our home. We won’t be doing business with anyone other than the fine folks at Dressen Medical in Holly Springs.
Amanda L: My 2yr old son was diagnosed with atypical bilateral clubfoot . Hes been in a total of 26 full length cast on both legs. His relapse and prep for surgery this month has been difficult. Edwards and the store manager not only accominaded our needs with a toddler Walker but even gave our son a small teddy. Hes now running in his cast with his Walker. Mind you they made this all happen in LESS THAN 5 days. You've made our difclut time so much easier. We can NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH for your professionalism and quickness

The people are always friendly and willing to take all the time in the world to help make sure you have everything you need. They will treat you with the old town fashion feel you are looking for. They always have everything I need or they are able to order it for me.
Amanda Huff: My insurance paid for a breast pump and said Dressen was a place within my network where I could get it. I picked up the breast pump, First time I tried to use it, it didn’t work. Called Dressen and they told me to bring it back and they would exchange it. We took it back, they said they couldn’t exchange it, would talk to Me. Dressen and call me back. A week later, no call back so I called. Was told I had to contact the pump maker. Meanwhile I had To rent a pump out of pocket. Also, they charged my insurance for the pump and then told me I had to pay another $115 to cover what the insurance didn’t cover. Got my EOB and it shows I shouldn’t have paid them anything. Called the insurance company who confirmed Dressen was in network and they should not have collected any additional funds from me. Dressen is dishonest, crooks, and don’t stand by their products. Hope they go out of business soon. I have filed a formal complaint with my insurance company to have them removed from the network.
Britt Carpenter: OWNER CALLED ME A LIAR. I recently rented a product from Dressen that was to be used overnight for my new born. I picked up the Billi blanket on Friday before they closed and was told I would have to bring it back on Monday because they were closed on the weekend but I would only be charged for the one day. When I only used this blanket for 8 hours, I was billed for 3 days equaling three times the amount I was initially told. When I called to ask about this, the lady at the front told me I just had to pay it. When I talked to the billing department, I was told I just had to pay it. WHEN I TALKED TO THE OWNER, I WAS CALLED A LIAR AND TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY FOR THE WEEKEND EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE CLOSED AND I COULD NOT RETURN IT UNTIL MONDAY EVEN THOUGH IT WASNT USED. The owner then continued to explain how this was my fault that they were not open to receive discharge papers and stop the billing. This is stealing $100 from new parents right at Christmas and it is not right.

My elderly mother is 5’5” so this chair is too large and does not fit her posture making sitting extremely uncomfortable. My mother sat in chair apx. 4 hours then had to go to her bed for comfort.Since my mother only income is social security, she had to wait on stimulus check before purchasing a new lift chair. Mom had purchased a lift chair some years ago years from Raleigh Medical. We recently had to make couple repairs where we purchased parts from Raleigh Medical, so Raleigh Medical is familiar with what type of chair my home bound mother needed. When my brother went into Raleigh Medical, owner who was preoccupied with Phone call told my brother chair would be okay for Mom( of course now owner says he told my brother it would not work, but my brother bought for my mom with her stimulus money any way..who buys an $1100.00 chair that will not fit esp. when there is a No refund policy due to pandemic)?Now the owner of Raleigh Medical will Not even exchange chair for correct size.Owner told my 89 year old motherto sell chair online. Really....On Raleigh Medical’s website theywrite of customer service and how they stand behind their product which is a FALSE statement. They hide behind the Pandemic for no exchanges. Mom called Raleigh Medical day after delivery to let know chair not rightsize/fit and she could not comfortably sit in chair. Most places allow 3 day return or exchange policy but NOT Raleigh Medical. They have lost sight of true compassion and understanding for the elderly. My mother goes from bed to chair to bed . At 89 years old,Her chair and bed are her only comfortI am extremely saddened that my mother at 89 is having to deal with this situation and sit in her older broken chair until she sells this chair online. Raleigh Medical owners have No Heart, Compassion or upstanding ethics. Stay away from Raleigh Medical Supply located behind blue ridge pharmacyon blue ridge rd. Raleigh. Go to store where they Genuinely care!

I could've PURCHASED the exact same equipment on Amazon for what they charged me to rent it!Today, I went there planning to get some compression hose & the owner told me that they don't accept my insurance for payment (Tricare Military Retirees' insurance); in fact, he said that they've NEVER accepted it, which is untrue because I've used it there before.If the owner of Raleigh Medical Supply is not supportive enough of military members & retirees to accept their insurance (any longer), he'll NEVER get my business! I will gladly go elsewhere!
Maxine Parker: I called Raleigh Medical Supply in search of a pack of DuoDERM bandages. I was quoted less than $12.00 for a pack of 5. When I arrived, I requested the pack. I noticed a price tag on the box for $13.95 I think. The lady rings it up and tells me that will be $66. and something! I asked her to repeat it because I just couldn’t believe she tried to charge me so much for a pack of bandages. I kindly said “No Ma’am. I’ll order them from Amazon (at a total cost of $13.35). I have made a few purchases here, and the prices were fair; that’s why I returned for the bandages. This is definitely price gouging, and very disappointing. I will not be making anymore purchases from this establishment.

George Dunbar: Rented a medical leg scooter for my wife’s broken ankle. Looks like they run around $125.00 to purchase on the internet. Rental was $30.00 per week or $90.00 per month which is already steep. They recommended we rent for a month and would give us a credit when we return it if we didn’t need it for the month. We returned it after 8 days and were charged $60.00. That was $30.00 for the first week and $30.00 for the extra day. When we asked about it they told us they didn’t prorate beyond weekly. Of course, that was not mentioned when we rented it or we would have returned it a day earlier. Not the kind of business I will choose to do business with in the future. From now on, I will look elsewhere to rent. Be sure to read all the fine print and ask all the questions up front.
Daniel: Horrible customer service...especially the older man at that location. I recently ruptured my Achilles' tendon and purchased a product that I believed was the right one for my foot.However, when I went back to my podiatrist, he told me it was the wrong one and I needed a boot walker instead. Less than 24 hrs, I called before I went by that location and specifically asked if I can return the item, but the man said I could not return the item due to a sanitation regulation that they have to follow which is right in his part. I did not argue because of that reason. I argued because I wore it once in the same location to fit my size and thats it! So, I called the manufactures company and explained my story and they gladly told me I can return the item, not receive a penalty charge, and get back my credit. Well that was just a fairy tale answer because when I went back with this excruciating pain due to my rupture Achilles' tendon, the older gentlemen gave me a huge problem about returning the item. Not only I paid for the item he also gave me an additional $25 fee based on a Returned check!? He also looked at me offensively in a way where I had no $ and to be honest he threatened me to go to the magistrate if I did not pay the item after the manufacture company called them specifically and spoke to that man ! Not cool! In conclusion, my opinion based on my experience with this location I can write that Raleigh Medical Supply needs immediately new manangement because a customer is always right and not to mention a customer should never be threatened,mistreated, or judged in any way! This store should not receive 1 star but ZERO STARS!
amanda stoughton: I purchased an ankle walker for a torn ligament injury. After two days I asked to return the unusual walker. My podiatrist did not recommend the one I purchased. I called to see if I could receive a refund or store credit and was told they would not take back the unused item. They claimed once the item left it was not allowed to be returned. I understand if this were prescription drugs, but an item which was unused should be at least returned for store credit . I am disappointed with they would not accommodate the customer in any way. $100 is quite a bit of money for a teacher, and it is frustrating when there was no help from the medical supply store.
