Richard Grablin: Located in the downtown Cary area walking distance to other attractions and restaurants, this local and small wine store has a variety of wine to choose from, many not seen in other stores. Service staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. Seating area inside and out, both cozy so it could get crowded. Parking is the same way.
Lance Shrader: Great little wine shop. Good outdoor area for casual sitting.
Mimi Glenn: Love this place - great selection of wines and love their seating areas - inside and outside - where you can share a bottle with friends!

Jill Hopkins: Cute place. The staff was too busy with the one couple doing a tasting at the bar to say hello. I had stopped in to hopefully get a bunch of wine to take home to the empty wine fridge and maybe sample a wine or two. Instead I wandered around looking at the wines and walked out empty handed. It’s not hard to say hello when the door opens and the bell rings!!!

However, the recent addition of a $6 corkage fee on my $16.00 bottle seemed a bit excessive and has me reconsidering this location for after work or spontaneous fun with friends and coworkers.

Autumn Vandy: If I could give this place a 100 stars I would. Just wow! As soon as my husband and I walked though those doors we felt very comfortable and welcomed. Meredith was overall polite, very professional and she really knew her stuff about wine. We ended up leaving with 2 bottle of wine. And the prices were extremely affordable. I will no longer buy my wine any where else. We have officially became regular customers .

Wanda Ruggiero: Prices are not comparable to other wine stores, very expensive! Also their customer service is sub-par to say the least! Do yourself a favor and go to Total Wine and More and you will definitely see the difference in the prices and customer service!

Stellan De Santis: We worked with Nikki and the other staff at the Waverly Place location to plan a surprise birthday party for our grandma on 6/19/22. Not only did Nikki help us pick out fantastic wines, she also went above and beyond to help us set up for the event with getting snacks, decor and flowers for the table. We had such a great time in their private event room which was really affordable. We ended up picking 6 wines and doing a blind tasting where we had our family guess where the wine was from and the price. It was really fun and interactive. We will certainly be visiting again soon :) Thank you to everyone who made our grandma's birthday so special!

You'll find quality international and domestic wines often at lower prices than the "beverage" wines sold in the grocery store. There are plenty of deals too.I always look forward to my visits to Great Grapes. I know you'll be pleased when you visit.

Genesis Jaquez: I came here looking for a specific type of wine, but they didn’t carry it. The man helping me (not sure if he was the owner or regular employee) was quite rude, and he asked me if I was going to come back if he ordered a case for me. I assured him I would, gave him all of my information, but I was never contacted. I’m a very loyal customer whenever I feel a place appreciates my business, and unfortunately this place won’t ever get my business because of this.
Jeff K: This place is a hidden gem. The staff are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate people in the wine business. They have a great selection of natural wines and the store is brilliantly merchandised. In addition to a great selection of wines from around the world they have a small but well curated collection of craft beer, cheese, balsamic vinegars and olive oil. This is exactly the kind of place every town without a great wine shop wishes they had.

Their space is stunning⎻be sure to check out The Green Room or watch the sun set from the patio⎻and their wine-erudite staff is friendly and approachable.. Didn't try the featured cocktail, but will be sure to next time. My advice ⎻ order a customizable charcuterie (exquisite), and ask for a taste of the featured wines (their abundant selection never disappoints and prices are reasonable).

There were three employees in the store and not one of them greeted us when we walked in or asked if we needed assistance. As a result, we decided to go somewhere else. Great selection of wine, not great customer service.

I found the class to be very well-done, featuring a mix of products available in store as well as items we could make at home. The instructors were well-prepared, knowledgable, and engaging.
