Jen Z: Do NOT rent from here! We had a car reservation, but arrived 2 hours late (flight delay) and we're told that they had no cars, but "there might be one available in a few hours" if we wanted to wait. We didn't and had to eat the cost of an upgraded car with enterprise (who had a much more polite staff). We travel full time and have never, ever seen this level of incompetence with 30 people sitting around waiting to see if there might be cars because they overbooked that much.They also wouldn't work with Expedia because it wasn't their fault...

So, here is my updated and honest review.Edit: I was ripped off on the price of my car and then cajoled into getting some "car protection insurance" that I didn't even need. When I was hesitant about spending an extra $3000+, the salesperson Justin told me I could walk across the street to the Toyota dealership to ask them if it was a good deal. Well, he is a good SALESman. Do not recommend going here unless you want to get a used car with many miles and without typical features in a car, like the slip on the back seat for putting your stuff into, etc. I felt taken advantage of because I was in desperate need of a vehicle and they knew it. When I called Justin about this "car protection insurance" once I had purchased the car, he was very short and rude and spared little time to talk to me. Do not go here!

I have filed a complaint with the BBB.

Ash Cash: TERRRRIIIBBBLLLLEEEE car place to purchase a car from! Community credit sucks! They don't communicate. They never made me aware they they were coming to repo my car. They just came and got it with no warning. They would constantly drafting my card everyday up until the week they picked up my car! Customer services (CHRIS) hung up on my husband when he told them that we were suing them for not notifying us and we had just made a payment TWO weeks ago! NEVER AGAIN! they will be hearing from my lawyer
Daisha Palmer: Paid $1,000 deposit towards a $24,000 car and it’s been less than 30 days since i got the car, and the car lot said they put / mounted a new motor in the car, but the motor just decided to fall out while I was driving down I-75. they told me if i could tow the car to them they would fix it, and here i am two weeks or so later and they saying now all of a sudden “i had to have hit something that made the motor just literally fall out of my car”, and they want me to pay him $900 to get the motor fixed like lemon law doesn’t apply to my situation the 11th just made 30 days officially. i want my car fixed for free because it isn’t my fault that the motor fell out. they are every unprofessional the main owner won’t answer phone calls but wanted to text my phone and leave messages on my phone.

They didn't take funds out when scheduled so funds wasn't there anymore. They Harassed me like i always missing payments. This was the first time this has ever happened. Miss no payments thru pandemics. Im a true customer and the dis me like that. I told them when funds will be paid. They wanted to get all in my business. Im like hold up you are car dealer i don't have to send you proof of anything. You only need payment. I felt like i not only sign for a car but signed my life over as well. They arw a little too nosey. Now the car sealsmwn was great. It's the payment center i didn't like.

It's a bad look especially for customers who are always ontime with payments and no issues I just need them to answer simple questions and they never can. I was simply calling to find out all the information on my account as far as remaining balance, paying off the car early, and making extra payments. I came onto the lot hopeless from experiences at other lots but I am leaving completely satisfied with the service provided and the vehicle that I get to call my own!Thank you Robert & Sign and Drive Cars!Update (one week later 2/3/21): one day later the car had been taken back by the lessor and I am still waiting on a refund and cancellation letter from the dealership, I requested a refund back almost 5 business days ago now!Update (two weeks later 2/8/21.): I received only a $370.00 refund of my $1,000.00 down payment and still no one is answering my voicemails or returning any of my calls. Robert who I thought to be so gracious and diligent to work with has blocked my phone number! This is ridiculous all due to verification going haywire with me being a contracted employee. For me to not receive my FULL down payment for only having the car for 36 hours is ridiculous, even if there was a charge for the "repossession" of the car I stay only 9/10 miles away from Sign and Drive ... that's no more than $120/150 charge. I didn't chose to end the agreement they did! This is no punishment of mine and if need be I will report this to the Better Business Bureau!

Rosalind Jones-Evans: My nieces purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata June 28, 2020 from the location on Wilkinson Blvd. Her engine blew on her Hyundai on July 9,2020 while she was on the interstate. She called sign and drive to let them know about the issues and they left her and her 2 babies stranded 1 hour and 30 minutes away from home. The guy Kison who sold the car to her took it upon himself to drive to come pick up my niece her and children. He drove them home to make sure they were safe. He then talked to his bosses to see what they could do to rectify the situation. Priority Hyundai replaced her engine with no problems. It is now November 11, 2020 and her transmission just went out today. They are now telling me that she is no longer under warranty because she is 2,000 miles over the and have to pay out of pocket $1500 to get my her transmission fixed. This is the 3rd issue in 5 months that She has had with this car. And they are literally telling her there is nothing they can do. We are highly disappointed. She has put $2000 in fixing this car since June. She put $1500 down on the car and has paid $1522.50 in car payments. The service there is beyond poor. They prey on people with bad or poor credit. If you can, please do not buy a car here. It is NOT worth it.

And when I called and informed them of these problems they basically declined giving me a temporary replacement car and stopped answering my calls . Jhontera Rivers: Extremely disapointed with the quality of cars and the customer service from sign and drive. Specifically the Independence boulevard location. After driving the vehicle for less than a week I noticed issues with the car. I was put through the ringer between the service department and the sales team. They made promises regarding repairs that would be covered and did not stick to them. I ended up having to come out of pocket after being told I wouldn't. The regional team is piss poor. They stated the would cover the total costs and they didnt. The response from the site sales manager was oops we should have told you, at least its not much more that you owe and a game of pass the buck. Do not purchase a car from this company. There are better lots with significantly better options and leadership team. The negative reviews from others experiences reflect what I have experienced.* Update* I would also like to point to the response below and advise consumers beware when the response is so narcissistic. Be clear that I certainly called around to other dealerships to ask what the typical process was when handling this situation and the response was of course they should have fixed the issue and returned the car without charge when the purchase was just made. Point two they further elaborated that I should not have had to pay anything additional. If we are going to throw out numbers let’s be factual. The repair cost $1,400 at their service department and I was required without notice after being told it was going to be fully covered to pay $200 in order to get the vehicle back. Even the warranty company declined to cover it because I only had the car a couple days. The issue is from the top down and they even tried to burn the salesperson who actually attempted to provide any sort of reasonable personal service by saying he didn’t know what he was talking about.Long story short, stay away there are plenty of reputable dealerships to purchase good cars from.

Bay Money TAROT: Don't buy nothing from them I bought a used jeep cash from them he said it won't stop on the road on you it's a good vehicle, I asked about the exclamation point light he said it was for tires. After only 2 weeks the check engine light came on I took it back up there it had a code he claimed it had to do with the gas cap and turned the light off told me let him know how long before it comes back on, if it comes on. It took a month for it to come back on he told me bring it back so his mechanic can figure out what's wrong it shouldn't be expensive to fix. or 1st off it he turned the light off he knew of the problem and was going to make me pay to fix it which is why he turned the light off. He claimed if they couldn't figure it out he'd send it somewhere where they would charge me $65 to see what's wrong. Darren is who I dealt with

antwan smith: I recently purchased a 2008 GMC Acadia from here in LATE April of 2021. By May 9th, the engine failed. Not knowing it was the entire engine, I had multiple maintenance made on said vehicle from a brand new starter, knock sensor, brand new battery and abs sensors(front and rear) upon contacting them about the issues, I agreed to accept the replacement of the motor to be added to my final balance. All I asked in return was for a temporary vehicle to continue to get back and forth to work of which was denied. I do NOT recommend ANYONE from the Charlotte, Nc area to go there, they sell nothing but used lemons and dont want to accommodate you if there is an issue with their unreliable vehicles and customer service. I REPEAT, do NOT buy from there
Melissa Clay: Unbelievable....lost for words...I know you should pay your payments on time, but we are in the middle of a pandemic..I have been out of work struggling with Covid...I owed them only $600, I'm from Wilmington, but I live in Charlotte...they came and repoed my car for $600 and it costed them $500 in towing fee...do you know.i could not get my car back because they wanted me to pay the car off 6,000, so now they have my car and wasn't even willing to put things into consideration...mind tou the check k engine light been on since I rented the car...it was not my car basically

Got the call, came back, again saw, drove liked and bought. They were excellent! Easy, peasey! Over the weekend husband and I noticed something's not right. Went to a reputable mechanic, $2000 worth in repairs! Informed Westside Auto Sales, not expecting much more than an apology. They went above and beyond and covered half the bill! I love this car and really appreciated their genuine desire to provide excellent service and keeping their customers happy! We know where we'll be getting our next used car from! Westside Auto Sales!**UPDATE**So the car ended up needing a whole new transmission! $10,000 on what was supposed to be a $5000 car! I appreciated the attempt at making it right with helping us out the first time, but after informing them of the true issue we never heard back. I didn't expect more money, but was hoping they'd call myself or my husband after he went in there, left paperwork and a request that they call. Oh well, what can you do?
