    4worldlovers: New & Nearly New Thrift Shop is a staple in the Fayetteville, NC area. There’s no other thrift stores in the area quite like ours or that comes even close to offering the massive selection of new and used items like we do. Whether you are new to the area and are looking for affordable bedroom, kitchen, living room furniture or you just adopted a new puppy and need a crate, we’re sure to have it.

    When owners Bob and Peggy Thompson first opened our doors in 1974, we only had 3,000 square feet to work with, plus a Volkswagen bus. Today, we have expanded our location to three buildings and now have 15,000 square feet! Visit our thrift store today to browse our amazing and vast selection for yourself.

    Honest Reviews: If the owners were not nice, i would rate this place at 1. I bought some furniture few months ago. The prices were high, but I still bought them since they all were in great condition. When I took them home, all 4 drawers of the furniture just fell when I put things in them. I should've bought a cheaper, new furniture but would last longer than what I bought.

My husband and I saw a few pieces we were interested in but for the prices listed and the fact that we would have to refinish/refurbish the items in order to use them we decided we may as well just buy new.This place has tons of furniture too, rooms and rooms worth. Apparently they are not serious about selling it, just collecting it. Such a shame.Employees also follow you around uncomfortably. Probably watching for theft but it was a bit insulting as we were just looking for furniture and you can't stick a dresser or end table down your pants! It made us want to leave pretty quickly.
    Nick Deane: My friend and I felt very uncomfortable shopping here on 4/22/23. The building has three rooms to browse through and after leaving the first room we were followed through the rest of the store.We saw four employees working that day, including the one at the front checkout. While in the second room, one employee in an electronic wheelchair zoomed around the perimeter to keep an eye on us. Then another male employee approached us and suggested that if we couldn't find anything, he would find something for us to purchase.All four employees that we had seen previously happen to have made their way to the last room the same time we did. It was a big production. Lots of talking back and forth about how they need to move or fix things that just always happened to be near us. As we go to leave the last room, the same man from earlier suggests that we cannot shop if we have our hands in our pockets. Then him and another employee, apparently finished with their very important tasks, decide to walk 2-3 steps behind us as we head towards the front of the store. They seemed in much of a hurry, so I stop to let them by since why else would they be so close. They stopped too.My friend is a white female, and I'm a person of color. All employees we saw were white. A person of color and her family were being helped when we entered and the interaction seemed fine. But they were already in the process of checking out, perhaps they were followed around as well.When we entered the store, I was asked very directly what I was looking for by the employee in the electronic wheelchair. I didn't know I needed to have a shopping list for a thrift store.

Really worth the trip just to look and stroll though the shop and admire all the quality and cleanliness of shops furniture displays.A must see for anybody wanting to furnish any room or their entire home.There are a few surprises quality "Easter eggs that people would appreciate.If you love estate sales, flea markets and want to save the travel.     Missy Capobianco: I had inquired about selling a piece of furniture and the gentleman who answered the phone was very short and rude with me before I could ask him any questions. All I said to him is that I was looking to sell a piece of furniture and was wondering what the process was he stated "we are short staffed and can't pick it up today." I explained I wasn't looking for them to pick it up today but was in fact just looking for information first, I even explained that I would pay for a U haul to bring it to them. He than asked what I was asking for in price and when I said I wanted just 50% of what I paid he cut me off and said "We can't help you." Their website says they are family owned and friendly and are happy to help, but this gentleman was not.

    Ronnie Hutchins: I went in today to sell a medical bed and this guy tells me to take pictures. I get home and take the pictures and call him back. He tells me he doesn’t buy medical beds. He said he thought I said Executive desk. How in the hell does medical bed sound like executive desk. I normally don’t deal with these type of people and will definitely avoid this type of business in the future.

Most prices are super high compared to other thrift stores. The lady told me they buy a lot of the furniture from the manufacturer. So you may save a little vs. buying it from the actual store. Some of the furniture they buy from people is still really expensive. Not impressed.

Its a true , dusty, hole in the wall junk shop with folks stopping by to chat, no ac to speak of and yes, a few treasures! Lots of stuff. Take your time and look. Weirdest thing I found? Old hearing aids with a lower set of dentures! But I left those. Couldn't think of a single DIy to save my life with those, lol. The owner is amazing. Artists who work in mixed media would love this store. Crafters, there are many things here to interest you. I will definitely be back.

    Over 50 years ago Myrover-Reese Fellowship Home opened the first halfway house for recovering alcoholics in the State of North Carolina. This was accomplished primarily through the efforts of co-founders, Jimmy Myrover and Pat Reese and members of Alcoholics Anonymous. “We had no money, just a lot of love and faith.” The Late Pat Reese. Today we operate three programs with the capacity to house 42 individuals and a beautiful log-cabin style friendship hall.
