Judy Lilly: Went to eye appointment yesterday. The young lady that worked as the tech who prepped me for the doctor was AWESOME! Can't remember her name but she was thorough, funny and made my day. My doctor a young lady was the best EVER also. Kudos to y'all. This was on 4/3/23 @ 9am.
Bibi: It is absolutely frustrating trying to get a hold of someone here. I’ve called several numbers at different times of the day (for a couple of weeks now) and no one picks up the phone! It’s even more frustrating when I’m given the option to leave a voicemail but the box is full. This is the 3rd VA system I’ve been in and probably one of the worst one so far.
Judy: I had an appointment via tellahealth video today at 2 pm and no one showed up. I waited 20 minutes and decided to start calling around. No one answered until I called the Ramsey location. I told them what happened and they said that my provider canceled my appointment and had to leave the office, yet I was NEVER informed about this. The woman at the Ramsey location said there's nothing she can do to help me and told me to wait on the phone to speak to someone because they have high call volume. I will NOT be waiting. Poor customer service!!! I'm so sorry this is how our veterans get treated!
Wade Williams (Chaplain Wade): This location is a very modern hospital. The Primary Care Providers are here along with all of the Specialty Care Providers, too. You will also find X-rays, MRIs, other imaging methods, and all sorts of testing methods here. They also have a canteen and a coffee shop.I really like this hospital and have been treated well by pretty much everyone there. Occasionally you will run across someone who isn't having their best day. It's unfortunate since so many of us Veterans are dealing with diseases that, in most instances, has already changed our lives drastically, and/or shortened our life expectancy. I really wish that people who have chosen to work in medical facilities would realize how hard it is for many of us to work up the courage to go to our appointments. Or how physically difficult it is just to get ready, then get transported, and into the hospital.Being met by 100 people with a smile and a genuinely kind greetings can be destroyed by one single rude receptionist, technician, nurse, or doctor. It isn't relegated to just the greeting. Someone who doesn't have patience, understanding, or can't offer an actual physical hand when needed.I know this because it has happened to me. I can't put into words how devastating that made my entire visit to the VA Hospital that day. Then knowing that I was supposed to come back the next day. It took absolutely everything I had not to blow off my visit. Thankfully my wonderful wife can help me see the light through the darkest cloud.I do recommend all Veterans go to this hospital and get registered to receive your benefits here. That department is very welcoming and the people are professional and kind. And if after meeting your PCP you're not happy with them, meet with the Patient Representatives to try and get it worked out.Again, I do recommend this hospital for all Veterans and their families who qualify.

Viola Malloy: I am seen at this VAMC and yesterday I'm not sure what was happening. I went in to have some lab work and the amount of people waiting was more than I have ever seen. I waited about 20 minutes before my number was ever called (it may have been longer), then after going to the desk to verify myself, I waited another 10 maybe 15 minutes. I will go on record now having been told I have, "tiny veins," and I'm a "hard stick," however I always pass this info on to the tech, I go in well hydrated and give them permission to just stick me, no need for the warnings etc. I know I'll probably flinch if warned. Well yesterday 3 different lab techs stuck me 3 different times with no actual blood draw. I must say I wondered if they were all new to the field, they seemed to lack that confidence and assurance that they are skilled in their profession, and as a patient I need to feel that assurance. I hope each of them becomes more skillful in their job so they can display confidence and assurance to the patient.

Zhané Rios: I've been in different VA's on the east coast and this is the worst one yet.Not only are the operators on here either have little to no knowledge about what this VA is doing when it comes to scheduling appointments for veterans and their families, but there are the operators that accurately set the tone of how this VA in particular does not care for the veteran and their families when it comes to something as refilling medication or trying to set up an appointment after moving from another state.I've been waiting almost 3 weeks to schedule an appointment for medicine that essentially helps prevent more anxiety attacks from occurring than what I have in the service and at this point, I feel like I might have to walk into the ER with glass shards on my feet to get any sort of medical attention that help with my mental illness. This VA is a joke amongst others and they really need to improve on their services. I wouldn't be surprised if this VA had an ER full of mentally ill veterans due to their lack of urgency to help those that seek it.

Brianna: I'm rating this facility as a 1-star due to the extreme inability by part of this establishment to maintain any sort of sense of time.To begin, providers tend to call out sick with absolutely zero back up plan - leaving veterans who've been waiting nearly a year for their initial VA appointment (y'know, the appointment that lets you get medication refills and schedule regular appointments if you move or are fresh out of the military). There should always be a backup provider available to ensure veterans who've earned their right to healthcare maintain their appointments that are scheduled MONTHS in advance.Additionally, a simple appointment at optometry should not take 2 hours. I spent TWO HOURS waiting on my husband to get his eyes dilated and the whole shebang just to come to the conclusion they FORGOT about him. I had to go to the "Eye Clinic" front desk and question about my husband's status for her to say he was already checked out. Obviously he was not as myself and my toddler were waiting for him right outside the clinic. She then informed me that he 'should' be with the provider currently and would be finished soon. I told her I did not have time for this considering my toddler was getting antsy and it had been nearly two hours at this point. I had to sit in the car to avoid agitating any elderly/sick veterans who would possibly be triggered by my daughter's tears/screams.Absolutely unacceptable for an EYE appointment to take 2 hours. Especially having been taken back early as we had arrived 30 minutes early. I am appalled at how slow and uncaring this clinic was as if people have hours of the day to spend at a mostly empty clinic. Mid-day/early afternoon on a Wednesday and it was a ghost town. Unacceptable. This is no way for veterans and their families to be treated. Especially dual-veteran families.

Daniel Ellis: Timing is awful. My wife and I scheduled an appointment for 3:30 pm to check out pretty basic flu like symptoms. Somehow even with a sign that says appointments are valued first, we still were not seen until an hour and a half later. Then we spent another hour in the room waiting to get a covid test result back. Still hanging out in the building with our three month old daughter. No one has popped in to update us. However what we do hear is a bunch of laughing in the halls, chatter from the nurses, and thats about it.I have been to an urgent care before. And 9 times out of 10 the urgency is kept up with. This location? Nonsense. Lol scheduling an appointment is useless because you will still spend about 3 hours of your day trying to get antibiotics for simple symptoms.

These ladies were absolutely fantastic from beginning to end, I was having an allergic reaction this past Sunday, had no idea any urgent care was open until I Googled it, I chose this location solely based on the reviews, the check in process was super easy, I scanned the QR code and completed the process in my car less than 5 minutes. My name was called as I was walking in the door, after a short wait I was immediately seen, heard, and treated in an amazing time frame. If I ever need urgent care again I’m definitely choosing this location again and again!!!

Tremayne Gilchrist: Today, my daughter had a scheduled appointment for a sports physical. However, upon arriving at the appointment, we were informed that they had attempted to contact me in order to reschedule. Surprisingly, I had never received any calls or messages regarding a change in appointment. This unfortunate situation has occurred before, which is why I feel compelled to leave this review. I have witnessed others experiencing the same issue, where they show up for their appointments only to be told that the clinic attempted to call and reschedule without leaving any messages. It would be more preferable if they simply informed me that the doctor was unavailable and apologized for any inconvenience caused. In such cases, I wouldn't be as frustrated if they admitted to not being able to reach me or failing to leave a message. Making appointments requires time off work and the loss of income, so it is disheartening to hear that they supposedly tried to contact me but failed. It is crucial that improvements are made to avoid such situations in the future.

Once she ended her personal phone call, she rudely asked why I was calling and then rudely cut me off while I was explaining my mother's condition. After politely telling her to have a nice day (I am a manger over a major health insurance company's call center department - so I do not argue with customer service agents) I hung up. I will not be scheduling an appointment. The saddest part is, the Endocrinologist, that has high ratings in this office, is going to lose many future patients because of this lady.

When you call the doctors office and everything goes to an answering machine there’s not even somebody at the front desk answering the phone there’s something going on, something is not right.
Alexis Garrison: Was assigned to a PA at Cape Fear Family Medical. Booked the soonest available appointment which was 3 months out. Arrived today 15 minutes prior to my appointment - to an empty reception desk. Waited a few minutes before being called up for the receptionist to say I am too late to be seen for my appointment time, but I could come back in 3 hours or be seen at their next available appointment in OCTOBER. Their new patient forms take 5 minutes to complete and were still completed before my appt time.Would NOT recommend. I've already found another facility that has availability this week.

Scheduled appointments multiple times and they were canceled every time due to the provider not being in the office EVERY TIME. I have a job that I have to take off time in advance. I don’t have the luxury to take off any time I get a call that my appt is canceled every time before I was supposed to go. You can’t make me a patient until I have been seen but no one can see me. I call back to finally schedule a new one and the receptionist on 11/23 at 2:06 pm was so unprofessional and rude. Don’t work in healthcare if you have a problem helping people or at least being a decent human being. I work in health care and I would never treat someone like this. I’m sorry that you felt inconvenienced taking my call but how about never getting an appt and receiving an attitude for no reason. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY. Apparently they’re not accepting new patients anyway at this time so I guess I dodged a bullet. You would be too.
Jessica Shallop: I have been seeing Dr. Sangineni for two years. She was always polite and professional. I felt comfortable addressing my medical concerns with her. However, the experience with the nurses and some of the receptionists have not been positive. They are rude and have a negative attitude. I decided to change my provider and no longer be seen at this medical center for this reason. I will miss Dr. Sangineni's care, but I cannot tolerate the disrespectful attitude of the nurses and receptionists.

I have no complaints at this time and don't expect to have any in the future. The staff are friendly and easy to communicate with. Would recommend to anyone. Having a life threatening disease since 2008, I have seen a variety of Doctors and Specialist. Dr, Krishna is rated among the best in my experiences.

superbat00: IF I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS I wouldI had my tooth pulled on wed, I called Thursday morning because my ear was aching Lady on the phone said call us back if you have any pain, ( isn’t this why I’m calling) so I suffered through Friday, Saturday and Sunday, ear still aching, I called Monday march 13th the same lady answered and said we don’t have any doctors here go to the ER or extreme care, I said why would you send me there if you know I don’t have dental insurance? ( the care clinic only pulls teeth) she said explain yourself I said if you know your patients don’t have dental coverage why would you send them to another facility? She started yelling and raised her voice and said a few choice words and hung up. So lesson learned, I’m never going back, I feel they don’t care it’s just for them to get experience and move on , all mistakes are expendable. The lady in the front should be trained on how to deal with patients and stop acting like she owns the place. This is my review and how I feel about the clinic I definitely don’t have anything good to say about this place. And if asked by friends I’m not recommending it. Go somewhere else. Or be ready for Pain!! Tylenol & ibuprofen are all you will get, nothing for infection

John McCosley: This place is run 100% by volunteers. If you complain about this place, you need to remember this. My visit, I was treated as a human with real human compassion and needs. Not once did they make me feel bad about my financial situation and my dental work was taken care of with my comfort in mind. No rushing me to get to the next patient. They treated my needs as of I was a paying customer. If you don't like the way things are run, go volunteer your time and input your suggestions. I plan to come back after I heal to volunteer in 1 way or another to show my appreciation for these fantastic people taking time from their evening to help the less fortunate.
Regina Lawrence-Adams: I was turned away by the "CARE" Center because I had more than one condition going on at the time: Hypertension AND Diabetes. Even though I only asked for help with the diabetes. They were also extremely rude to me about it. I left there devastated!!

They're all volunteers and I can tell they just love what they do and the people they come in contact with. And not a mention of paying. Even my meds after were free. And the dentist and assistants were so great. They did everything possible to ease my anxiety and make me as comfortable as possible. An even better experience than the expensive dentists ive gone to. If I could give it more stars I would.
KAREN MCALLISTER: I was treated so good there. They were very friendly and welcoming. The nurse and doctor were very caring about my issues. I would recommend the care clinic to everyone. Thank you for treating me like a human being. I have no insurance but was still treated great!!
Spring Eads: I called on Friday and was scheduled to see the dentist the following tueaday. I went im with a tooth broken up into my gums. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Naama Aviv came in to access the situation and decided to go ahead and numb me up. She was able to get the tooth out pretty quick and easy. Her assistant was amazing and kept making sure i was ok and the numbing medicine was working for me. Dr Aviv and her assistant made me feel like i was part of their families. I would highly recommend the Care Clinic especially if you are able to see Dr. Aviv.
Carlos Smith Jr.: Terrible experience. I called a week ago (Friday around 11:30) to schedule an appointment for a dental emergency. I was told that they don’t schedule ahead of time & I had to call the next Friday between 8am-12pm to be seen. I asked was there anyway I could schedule ahead of time for the next Friday & was told no.Fast forward to the next Friday, I called 3 times between 8 & 8:10 while on the way to the clinic to ensure I could be seen. No one answered. A woman came outside to our car around 8:15 & asked how could she help us. My mother explained that I was looking to get a tooth pulled & the woman stated that we had to call by phone to schedule an appointment for a week out as they don’t do same day & we shouldn’t be sitting in the parking lot. My mother told her I had called already & she said they don’t take calls until 9. At this point I began to explain to the worker that I had called last week & received contradictory information to what she was telling me. I was in the midst of explaining what all I was told when she cut me off to tell me that we could just go somewhere else & started naming alternative options. I had not been disrespectful, rude or condescending so I saw no reason as to why that was appropriate. I told her that I would like to finish my sentence without being cut off & continued to explain my confusion. I began to re-iterate what I was previously told a week ago when she cut me off AGAIN (after I asked her not to politely) to tell me that was just how they do things, they only schedule appointments a week out, she’s the one who answers all calls (which means she would’ve been the one providing me the misinformation ironically) & that’s their policy. Which was completely contradictory to what she had told me a week ago. At this point I felt disrespected & slighted so I just asked my mom to take me home. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone that doesn’t want to be spoken down to or condescended. Terrible communication, misinformation issues, & unwarranted disrespect & lack of regard. I should’ve asked for her name to formally report her but at this point I was so infuriated that I just left to avoid a verbally aggressive & disrespectful turn to the conversation. Obviously we were not wanted there.

Pura Clinic Urgent Care: what do users think?
Not Reecepet: I called ahead to see about appointments and they let me know that they take walk ins. I arrived, was promptly greeted. The receptionists were conversational and the waiting area looked great. Soon after I was seen and my concerns were listened to and explained and a course of treatment was prescribed. It was very easy and a much more personable experience than other urgent care facilities in the area.

Kawaii Aytes: This morning I went to Pura Clinic for the first time. Being new to the area I relied on reviews and experiences of others to pick this facility. The front receptionist was extremely kind and helpful. The nurse was also nice. However, the physician Dr. Mohamad Shakir had a terrible bedside manner. He was rude, condescending, and almost hostel when I asked for clarification and my toddler's diagnosis. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!!

Mrs Vp: Flu season! I decided to travel a little further away from home and have no regrets. I took my family in as walk-ins in the middle of the week and filled out about 10 minutes of paperwork (the norm). I noticed right away that the clinic is very clean. The receptionist also came out to sanitize the lobby as often as she could. The lobby is small about 20 seats or so and one family was ahead of us. My family was seen right away and the doctor who saw us was an older gentleman who took care of our needs right away. Very nice, wholesome respectful doctor. The receptionist was very nice and respectful as well.The parking lot is small because it is shared with a few smaller stores.I will travel to this clinic again based on how empty the clinic was when I got there and the cleanliness.They also take tricare. :-)Thank you Pura clinic and staff.
sarah Fugate: I was second in line at the door when the clinic opened at 9a.m. with a very, very sick 6 year old child, we had sat in the parking lot with him crying and throwing up since 8:30a.m. with a severe ear infection, waiting for the clinic to Open. After we got in and checked in, the desk staff announced that they would be seeing all the physical patients first, and then start seeing the sick patients. This is an absolute outrage!!! I brought my child here for help, to get URGENT medical care. This clinic has neglected us, and I am very disappointed to be forced to sit in this waiting room with a very sick child while healthy kids are run through a physical. This is not an urgent care.

Katie Hammond: Very disappointed in our experience in this clinic and will be ensuring that none of our friends or family visit here. My two year old came home from daycare complaining of ear pain and her pediatrician's office was closing shortly. We chose Pura clinic due to the close proximity to our house. My husband filled out the paperwork and gave our insurance card which clearly states "no deductible" for urgent care. We were responsible for 20% of the total. We've visited urgent cares many times with the same insurance and have never paid a more than $40 copay. The check in person told my husband we owed $110 out of pocket and we were shocked. I questioned her and she told me we hadn't met our deductible. I explained that it clearly states no deductible on the front of the card for urgent care, and she stumbled over her words first saying they bill differently. Finally, I realized that they were charging $550 to look in my daughter's ear and prescribe medicine. We owed 20% which is where the $110 came from. I have NEVER experienced such a scammy situation at a medical facility. My ER copay was less than the copay at this clinic. Steer clear as it seems they charge ridiculous amounts and take advantage of people. It wasn't about the money for us, but the shadiness.
Grace B: My 2yr son needed to be seen here for a bug bite on his left arm. The doctor was extremely nice the front staff was amazing and we were in and out within less than 15 minutes. The doctor listen to everything that I had to say and prescribed him medication for his bite.

Julie Russell: I've been overcharged for both visit to this office. It took 6 mos to get the billing department to credit my $25 deductible (x2) that I paid them but they are still charging me an additional $25 for each visit and won't tell me why I'm being charged. Since this was a wellness check up with GP my insurance company says that I should have only been charged the $25 deductible that I had paid at time of service. I can't get answers from them so I will not go back here. They have lost my trust.

Laurence Vaughn: I backed to my Dr's appointment at Goshen medical, forgetting to bring along a mask and the receptionist says that they didn't have a mask to give me so I would have to test an appointment u already waited 2 months to have.When I'm outside, calling to reschedule my appointment, a gentleman walks out of the office with 2 masks that they gave him. I argue with the receptionist as to how they can hand out fresh masks but they can't give you one on entry. Because I raised my voice to them about a completely insane policy, they told me to find another doctor.

Robert Henderson: So, this place was to become my family and my PCP. About 3 weeks ago, I got sick. I called them to see if they would see me. They told me, “no” go to a doc in a box(Next Care). I ended up at a Doc in a Box to confirm I had Covid. The Covid turned into Covid pneumonia. Doc in the Box, told me to make sure I followed up with my PCP. I had an appointment set with Goshen for Wednesday August 11, 8:30 am. I wanted to alert them, about what I had been dealing with prior to being seen by them. I gave them a call, and was told over the phone, “technically we are not your PCP, since we have not seen you, yet.” “You need to go back to Nextcare…” this is the medical assistance this place gives. Avoid them at all cost. Go to the ER, a Doc in a Box, or a witch doctor, before these people.
Niki H: They have failed to diagnose me in the past and I have gone to the ER instead and gotten better treatment and care. This last incident is the final straw though and makes me thankful for taking the time to do my patient intake at Southern Regional during my office visit at Goshen. I went and saw them on Wednesday and the doctor didn’t put my prescription in until the next day and put it in at the wrong pharmacy, now it’s at no pharmacy! Completely unprofessional and unbelievable considering it’s antibiotics for my out of control tonsillitis! At this point I don’t trust the diagnosis and will be following up at SR to ensure that I don’t have strep! Seriously get it together and hire some actual MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS!
Jeremy Thompson: Was told I have to come back every 30 days for a refill on my blood pressure medication. Couldn’t even give me a 14 day supply to get me through till my next appointment. Asked what do I do about my high blood pressure and they told me to go to the emergency room. What a pathetic organization.
KENT OTTAWAY: I have the Medical Power of Attorney for the patient. I was not allowed to enter the building unless they were allowed to Bill my insurance for a COVID swab, even though I have been fully vaccinated. A rip off. I will say the staff was polite.

Robert de Graaf: I have had several appointments here to date. Service by medical staff has been consistently good, but service at the front counter has been consistently poor. Every time I have been here I have been disappointed (even shocked) by the lack of professional courtesy and the poor manner of service. While not verbalized, the impression given by front counter staff is one of, "You again? Didn't we see you just a month ago?"Dr. McAllister is exceptional; he is the only reason I will return. (Edit: Dr. Mcallister is no longer at this branch.)
Sarah Williams: BEWARE! This is a horrible place. They lied to me about their promise to see my son inside in a private area. The knew he was in a medical emergency and did not get in touch with me although I was signed on his paperwork. The office manager, Amy is extremely rude and mean. The receptionist asked doctor to see my son inside but the doctor ignored it. Corporate called and took info but never called me back to discuss what they found out. My son died and I blame Goshen in Fayetteville for their lack of concern for him. His blood glucose level was extremely dangerous and although I was signed onto his paperwork, the PA did nothing. If they were not legally bound, they were morally bound. I will tell everyone I know about this horrible place.
