They have a standard oyster with not much brine, flavor, etc. I felt a tad misled by all of the oyster photos and wonderful reviews.The service was quick and great. My server was attentive and kind. Angela Hulin: I never caught a catfish before and this place was exciting and fun for me and my partner. I caught 4 catfish in there catfish pond and I caught 4 bluefish (bream) in the other pond. They cleaned them all and filleted them for me. I loved it and the owners son was very nice and helpful. All the staff was nice. I definitely will go back and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience fishing.

David: Great place to take your kids for fishing especially younger ones, they split the fish into 2 ponds I belive catfish in one and I believe bluegill and some others in another. We walked in needing to buy seafood for a Carolina Seafood Boil for the 4th of July and walked out with way too much and it was pretty cheap. Seafood was high quality and the service was top notch. jose colon: Heard about this place for years. Reminds me of the fish and chip shops of my youth. Absolutely delicious each time we have been fish hungry. Not real close to home and still the drive well worth it. Went back again recently with a household member who got involved in a football conversation while we waited for our orders. The fact that a Pittsburgh fan served us did nothing to dilute our enthusiasm or hunger. We shall return again. Maybe just to bring a handkerchief.

Will is super passionate + creative and his team is amazing. Awesome customer service, clean shop, friendly faces.Sushi: I think I’ve tried every roll he’s had out the last three-ish months. None have disappointed. I can’t even pick a favorite because all are so good. We have a hard time bringing ourselves to try other sushi restaurants. Didn't have the best experiences at other places when we first moved here (we tried a handful that have high reviews and none gave us the "wow, we'll be back" feeling.)Seafood: We’ve had salmon (for sashimi at home), crab legs, clams, and pompano (I can’t remember what fish, but I’m almost sure it was this) so far. No complaints there.Korean Sides: Yum! Authentic. A fair selection. Sunfish Mama makes them…. Need I say more?They have other Asian goodies in-store too. You’re bound to find something you’ll like.It’s our spot to visit when we can’t decide what to eat.

He has scallops, new zealand mussels, halibut and salmon(much more then what I purchased) But you know what makes this place so amazing? The SUSHI. he will do custom orders for you as well. If you want the nigri and sashimi he has all of it. This place is amazing and I spent so so much money here my wife tells me to stop😅 lol I cant stop wont stop. This isn't a restaurant unfortunately so no you cant sit down. But trust me his sushi/fish will travel and if you ask for ice it definitely will travel a 45 minute drive home in a car with no AC and still feel fresh at home. Will(the sushi guy) is very receptive with criticism and totally understanding. Hopefully we get some better chopsticks but that’s such a minor gripe. I would give sunfish a 6 star if I could. He also remembers almost everyone that walks in. Man is a magician.

Lula Perdue: My husband and I first started getting our seafood and fish from Sunfish years ago. We happened to come across it going to the Asian market and we met Will. He was so friendly and helpful that we made sure that it was added to our grocery shopping trips. Over time I can say that he's considered a family friend at this point and we will not go anywhere else for our seafood. The service and fresh fish made us lifetime customers. We now do not care to go get sushi and other yummy foods from anywhere else but here. My kids even love his selection! I recommend to everyone to stop by. I always leave with great food and a smile.

Will, resident sushi chef, not only makes some exquisite rolls and sashimi he's very proud of, but is also extremely informative about all their products and his lively demeanor made my whole day.Their sushi's great and since it's made fresh with the fish they carry the morning of, I assume the standalone fish from here is fresh, delicious and well priced, too.(In the picture of the "Magma Roll" there's two pieces missing, because I couldn't help myself prior to snapping the photo. Since it was absolutely delicious. 😙👌 it's very Korea/Japan fusion style and just incredible.)

I returned today with my husband, and received the same courteous service. Even called before I arrived to make sure they had yellow croaker and received great hospitality over the phone as well. Clean , cozy and has what u need. We also purchased some alligator meat from there today. We will be back , and we also recommend.

The owner, Will shows off his 20+ years of experience as a sushi chef creating unique sushi you will not find anywhere else. The crab is not imitation, the fish is fresh, the sauces are hand made. Everything is fantastic. I have a hard time picking out any favorites. Will and his family offer incredible, friendly service with a smile. They are so passionate about their food and only want you to enjoy your experience. His mom makes the Korean Banchan. I was blown away by the the dried radishes (a new thing that Will was determined I try.) The fish cakes, squid, and onion salad were also delicious. If there is something in the store that you are unfamiliar with, don't be afraid to ask. Will and his family have handpicked all the items in the market and will be happy to explain any of their items. All dishes are to go. Sunfish market also offers fresh, quality seafood, Bugolki, Korean snacks, Korean drinks, and treats. It is a fun market to visit and definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend.
Miranda Zindorf: This is a perfect little market that sells fresh seafood, frozen foods (seafood, desserts, dumplings, meats), snacks, fresh sushi rolls and more. The shop is so tidy and clean. The customer service is friendly, generous, attentive, and thoughtful. I left with 3 sushi rolls and all were fantastic. The owner, Will, appears to be friendly and overly humbled to serve everyone who comes into the shop. I was in and out in just a few minutes, but this shop left a strong positive impression. Elaine Martin: I got a crabcake from here. Before purchasing I asked was it lump meat. The gentleman who works behind the cashier register says it's crab meat. I asked I know but lump or back fin. He said it's regular crab meat. I asked about the steam bag and made a purchase of both items. The steam bag I got was shrimp and it was overcooked. The crabcake was claw meat and a lot of shell. I never went back.

Sawyer's Paw Pro Paw Guard: My first time there and I accidently ordered steamed flounder and shrimp, instead of fried.I just knew I wasn't going to like it, but I wasn't going to waste it, so I ate it! IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! Next time, I'll get fried, but the steamed was delicious!!
Sylvia Washington: I don't know why cooks think its ok to sprinkle all that raw seasoning salt on fries n cooked food. It really takes away from the taste. Also, no condiments, napkins or plastic ware in the bag.

Andre Henry: This is the best kept secret in Fayetteville! The food is absolutely delicious. It is healthy eating at its best but no loss in flavor. The pandemic took its toll but the restaurant is still there waiting for anyone with a love for good fish, shrimp and scallops while packing a ready to eat appetite. Go enjoy.

I remember I used to work at the learning center when I first heard about this place in 2011 and would eat dinner form here EVERY DAY!! Lol Tyrone has always been cool and kind and we always engage in great conversations when it’s not extremely busy there. He has a great heart for people and the community. I read some folks negative comments up here and it bothered me. I don’t know who they’re talking about. But the good comments outweigh the negative ones. If you come to steamers enough, you’ll know how he talks and interacts with people. He’s from NY my Goodness!! I know I wouldn’t be kissing no one’s tale either when I’m trying to work lol.🤷🏽♀️ I think his personality is great. Never has changed since I met him….And the food!!!! 😩 My goodness! I have people that come visit me in Fayetteville and will not leave until they get some Steamers. I had to show them the finer things of life 🤣 It was so good seeing you today brother! Jaye White: I enjoyed talking to Ty and I’m so glad I took his advice and ordered something steamed. I got the flounder with mixed veggies. It was perfectly seasoned and the portion was generous. My husband ordered the fried shrimp with fries. His was also delicious. We enjoyed our lunch and we will be back!

Taye & Chasity Mcneill: Me and my wife had a date night and decided to stop here we normally do Crab De Jour on Legion road or just cook at home if we want a seafood boil but we were in the area, so 1st the atmosphere was good the music was great but after that everything else was horrible the garlic butter in our bags was bland had no taste they give you two slices of sausage (yes just two slices ) and to top it off there is an upstairs but it was not being used so it wasn't lit i look at the stair case and I see a mouse coming down and he quickly went back up that jus messed up my whole experience and to top it off our bill was 104 dollars for the little bit of food we received and I don't mind paying but give me my moneys worth .

I gave 3 due to the fact that one of my friend’s food came out almost 20 minutes after everyone else’s then the person we were celebrating left their cards on the table. When the restaurant was contacted not even 6 minutes later they were informed that they had been thrown away. ☹️

james mcleod: Purchased two senior flounder plates and one small flounder plate and was shorted one piece of fish. When I confronted the younger man at the cash register he acted as I was lying an didn't want to hear it. The person I am referring to has been there awhile and he is the unfriendlyiest person in the whole establishment, he has no business dealing with the public. When I purchase a product I should not have to check to see if my order was filled correctly. This person was one of the rudest people I've ever had to deal with by his ignoring the customers and a personality like a dead person.
