Jenise: The wait was long and it was just me. The chicken was idk what but not good 😐 and I'm Puertorican born in jersey. The rice with gandules was ok. I asked and was charged for tostones and didn't get any. I didn't bother asking for then due to the quality of the chicken. Proceed with caution citizens. Do your research about culture and become more aware universally, That is all.After your reply that I got an email about, I want to add that I said rice and tostones, I said it twice and she said ok/nodded and I was charged more, and I didn't go back because it did not taste authentic like I said. Being born in Jersey doesn't make me less Puertorican and there's a big population of us there. Bye now.

Male server tells us to take a seat wherever we’d like and that they’d be with us soon. Not a problem. There were only two servers on the floor. And we weren’t in a rush. We almost immediately get menus and asked what we want to drink. We order two waters. Took a long time to get them, but again, busy. So we’re patient and keep talking to ourselves until we finally get them.We order our food. And it came out nice and prompt. Tried to get our servers attention but it was like we were invisible to her. We ended up asking the other server to bring us our sauces because ours never came back.Everyone leaves. There’s only 4 tables left in the restaurant. We are her only table actively eating. I tried to get her attention multiple times. She finally stops, I ask her for water. She says sure. And walks over to another table. And starts talking with them like it’s social hour and she’s not working. At this point I am completely out of water and so is my partner. I tried to get her attention and nothing. So I get up and walk to the bar and the very polite bartender filled up my cup of water.When walking back to my table, the server looks at me and turns away from me. Giving me her back. And continues to have a conversation with her table!!!!The table she’s conversing with finally leaves. She clears it and walks by us without a word. She goes to her other table that had been waiting for their checks this whole time as well, and finally gets their checks. She goes and starts wiping tables and I have to wave her down to get her to come over and get us our check! She says sure right away. And goes over to the other table and finally takes their cards to process their payment. Walks back to our table and when we look at her… she’s oh I’ll be back with your check. And finally grabs the dirty plates off our table. Goes to the male server and asks him to drop off our check.The disrespect at turning your back at your guests when they ask for something and ten minutes later don’t have it, was it for me. I’ve been in the service industry my whole life. And that was a bigger insult than the lady that threw a drink in my face for not letting them walk out the door with alcohol. Not once did our server come over and acknowledge that she didn’t bring us a refill. Or even checked on us the whole meal.Food… worth returning for. Her service.. definitely not.

Sherrie Rivera: Unfortunately this place is not the same as it was in the beginning. They keep bringing new wait staff. We went today at 4:30, I usually make a reservation but this time I did not. Well a lady came and sat us at a table and gave us menu's. Next thing I know 2 other servers come over to the table and tell me sorry but this table has been reserved. I told her the other server sat us there. They call over the other server and precede to scold her about sitting us there. That they had told her the table was reserved. Then they walked away. So here we are waiting and waiting for someone to come over and take our order but they are ignoring us. So I went over to the server that sat us and told her thank you for nothing that I did not appreciate being ignored and that we were regular customers but that now that would change. One of the other servers was on the phone while I was speaking, then suddenly she says I told you to give me a few. I said no you did not say that to us. I told her you were too busy scolding this lady. You should not have done that in front of customers that was not acceptable. I told her that we would be leaving. This place has servers now that are rude and assuming. She assumed that my husband and I had sat ourselves down. I also did not appreciate that 2 servers came to the table to talk to me, like she couldn't handle it on her own. She also should have asked the 3rd server first before coming over to my table and talking to us the way she did. So in short. I think it will be a long while before we go there again. I will try to look for another Spanish restaurant. The picture is an old one from when we first started going there.

Janine Elise: We ordered the Trifongo today, just 1 order to share with my husband because this is the first time we come to this restaurant and didn't know if it was good or not. This was the best trifongo with Carne frita with a side of tostones de Pana with AL ajillo sauce 😋. As my husband says "I'd give it a 10 star if I could, worth every penny and more!!" We definitely recommend this place is you want a taste of authentic Puerto Rican food. 1 order gives for 2 to 3 people, great portion size (we ordered to-go). Love it.

Our server took our order and brought drinks, but we only saw him two additional times once when he brought more chips and the other when he brought our bills. We were not checked back on after we received our food. If we had been, we would have expressed our unhappiness then instead of on this platform. All (adults) felt food was disappointing, and the service was terrible. I wouldn't return here for a free meal. In hindsight, the lack of customers should have been our warning.

Sheri Faluta: I've been to this place a few times. I usually get the Polo Fundido (shredded chicken in a deep fried flour tortilla with cheese sauce) and rice. The chicken is tender and flavorful. I also enjoy their salsa; it could use a little more spice and garlic, but that's just my personal preference. It does have a good amount of cilantro and the right amount of lime juice. I don't like super chunky salsas so the consistency is perfect, for me. The servers are always friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean.

We did not find that here.I did some searching for another El Burrito location and found this one. Boy, AM I HAPPY I DID!!! This was the food we were looking for! EVERY TIME we come here, I tell ya, it gets BETTER AND BETTER! The service is outstanding! The sweet tea is like I made it at home! The food...almost makes me cry! Regardless it left us with a negative experience. In all fairness out of the seven years I have gone, one negative experience is still 100%. I will still go and support this restaurant.
