Then had the audacity to pretend to be concerned for me.Had They actually done their jobs and spoken with me. They would have known about situations involving law enforcement which is why the meds were being filled. However they prefer to try and get back at peopleThis pharmacy accepted my prescription as a transfer. I need medication as a shot or for iv use. This medication helps keep my asthma under control and allows me to keep my chemo pill down without complication. The first day I called they said they needed to verify the script. I informed them why I needed the medication so soon and that I WOULD PAY OUT OF POCKET. They said it was fine. They still tried to run my insurance. They had my script for over 3 weeks and I never got the medication.On the 18th of January, I called to get an update on my script the young lady I spoke with said that they had finally gotten the script verified. Even though my doctor’s office had called several times before to verify. I did not make it a big deal. The young lady said because it was so late in the afternoon they would try to have the mediation for Wednesday but it may have been Thursday. I was fine with that.Thursday comes I call and I am told the medication was never ordered. The lady never uploaded my file to document the script was verified and that they needed to still do that. With the bad weather, they probably would not have my medication for the upcoming week. I asked if they could just call the lady to verify that she had gotten the script verified they said they were not going to inconvenience her on her day off. Though they were being negligent with my life by not providing the medicationWe asked for a manager and were told that they did not have anyone there in a position of authority. They then tried to blame students for the screw-ups of other people. Students should be supervised so even if it were the fault of the student it falls on the other staff.They do not call you. They do not communicate. You have to chase them for your medications.

I used to be able to drive, and I loved the fact that they have drive through drop off and pick up or wait. When I could no longer drive, I found out that they deliver. The driver is very friendly. Very good, professional and friendly service. But what I absolutely love about this pharmacy is that they remember who you are, you don't feel like just another "customer" or number, and you certainly don't feel rushed.

But they always forget to put the bottle caps/inserts for the bottles to use with the syringes. If we don't ask they don't give, shouldn't have to ask when the medication is for a toddler. Especially when we have been a customer for over a year! Our daughters meds are compound so we can't just go to any pharmacy.

I have been a patient with Cape Fear Discount …. My home store basically advised me to call my MD and see if there’s another medication I can use until my medication is back in stock…. SMH… I call this pharmacy - and KEVIN took charge !!!! He let me know the status of the medication …. Put me on hold less than a minute… and came back to tell me he would text me when they were ready!!!!!!!!! I have called OVER 42 PHARMACIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am now going to switch my “home store”…. KEVIN IS A KEEPER!!!!!!!! Did I mention I have been out of my medication for 7 days????????? Every day calling 10-15 pharmacies to check on statuses!!!!! Robert Williams: My very first prescription experience isn't going well at all. I thought by leaving a big chain pharmacy, it would simplify things and generally improve the experience. Well...currently, I'm playing middleman with my provider after they failed to see 1 of the 2 prescriptions that was sent. I informed my provider what I was told and he sent them another script that I was told they didn't get. Afterwards, I followed up with the pharmacy to make sure they received it. Turns out, they had both prescriptions all along. Instead of apologizing and acknowledging that they made a mistake, I'm given poor excuses and told to wait till Monday unless my provider works Saturday's. Fortunately, my provider is awesome and a team player. I let him know about the new problem that was conjured up and has already reached out to Cape Fear this evening. Best case scenario..I get a call in the morning. They apologize and tell me everything is fixed and they're going to have my prescription delivered to me immediately because they wasted my lunch break and gas traveling across town in traffic for an incomplete order. They would also personally apologize to my provider for making him do twice the work for the problems they created. Do I think this will happpen? Judging by today...of course not! Either way, I will follow up on this post...good or bad.Update: I picked up my prescription with no problems. As far as I know, this is the extent of it.

NLW: Less than stellar experience. I had a med called in here back in May, they never called me to let me know it was ready. In fact, they never call or text you to let you know your meds are ready. We were getting our cats prozac here, but called walmart and got the same med this time for 4$, and we usually pay 20 to 25 at cape fear discount drugs.....wth?! That's 4 to 5 times more expensive than walmart or walgreens....plus I get a text when they are available for pick up. So for those reasons, we switched. I guess always check bigger pharmacies like walmart or walgreens since they have a 4 and 8$ list. It is saving us money going elsewhere. The place across town on raeford is no better. Had a BAD experience with them years ago, so I wont even give them a chance.

My Proverbial Journey: I read some of the negative reviews left by previous customers and I honestly can't believe it. I absolutely adore Cape Fear Discount Drugs. I started using the one on Raeford Rd, but due to the distant from my job, I had to switch to one of the local chain pharmacies....HATED IT!Everything was always delayed and incorrect. So I had all my scripts transferred to CFDD North and cannot be more pleased with the exceptional service I receive.Everytime I go here, I always have a pleasant experience. The front staff is amazing and so helpful!!! I remember a time when I didn't have health coverage and could not afford one of my prescriptions. One of the ladies searched and tried every discount pharmacy card to make sure I would get my medicine at the lowest cost possible.So for the ones that had a bad experience, I urge you to try them again. They probably was having a bad day and it showed in their work. I wouldn't cancel them off altogether.I've used alot of pharmacies around Fayetteville and their service comes nowhere close to the level of service received from Cape Fear Discount Drugs. I am definitely a customer for life.
