Pierre Salomon: Ms. Robinson, the branch manager contacted me and explain to me the reason why my concern below had happened. It means something when the manager of a business takes the time to understand and resolve the issue. Though I originally gave the business one star, I am now giving it a 5 for the effort.Concern I had:When I have to physically walk to a bank to show my ID, just to get my full bank account number, which I thought would be on my monthly bank statements, or be able to get by loggin on my computer, or be able to get by an employee asking me personal info to verify my identity--it is time to go. I was trying to support businesses in my local community, but this is ridiculous. It seems I am better off with a national bank. I don't have millions in my account, but I am still taking every penny out of there.
Marie: This place is ridiculous. They want to charge you for looking up your account information for tax purposes!!! We don't have this problem at First Citizens.

T L: Poor customer service. Teller was very rude. The new staff functions under an atmosphere of apathy since Horizon took over.
mememe High: Very unprofessional attitudes, they lose paperwork, their copier breaks, and they're slow. If I could go back, I wouldn't have ever bothered with this bank. I'm sure that the employees are overwhelmed, overworked, and short staffed but never have I felt like a "Karen" and I feel like I'm considered one every time I go here and that makes me uncomfortable. I avoid having to as much as possible. 2 stars because you can tell they're trying. However, i'm definitely switching banks.

Clayton Brewer: I have had several pleasant experiences with this bank. The two ladies that work the counter are always nice and greet you when you walk in. The manager will usually come out of his office to greet you if he does not have a customer in his office. I am not sure why some people have said it is a bad bank. I guess some people are just going to be miserable no matter what you do. You could give away free money and somebody is going to complain.

Patricia Murphy: Run Far away from this bank. If you place a deposit thru the atm or even with a teller they are going to put a hold on it! They Don't tell you at the time of the transaction that there is a delay. You get a letter a week later after the "hold" is lifted. And if your counting on next day funding like they have been doing your going to be upset! While doing so if you write your checks out and if they hit before this supposed hold is up they hit your account with fees.. I would not recommend this bank at all.. We are putting a complaint in with the FDIC to look into this practice!
Wild Iris Florist: Do not use this bank… we have a business account and in the last few months they have made holds on deposits… we not talking 200.00 we are talking thousands.. then while they are holding deposits there racking up fee.. then after a week of them doing this you get the letter that they held the money… after your used to getting your money next day… and in the last 4 years you got it next day…

Benne Lovett: I have been banking here for the last year and working with Sherri Turner personally. I usually don't write reviews, but I read the horrible feedback written below, and I can personally tell you that it's far from the truth. Sherri and the bank have gone above and beyond what they've needed for my business needs. I'm a very skeptical person, so I don't expect much from people, but I've been blown away by the service I've received. I pride myself on being a well-versed person, and Sherri's knowledge has floored me. I also understand when it comes to money, people are hard to please when things don't go their way, so I took it with a grain of salt. Anyway, I just wanted to take the time to thank Sherri and her team publicly for everything they've done, and I'll be banking here for the long term.

John Lingle: I recently made the mistake of opening accounts with First Citizens and it has been a thoroughly horrible experience. Sherry Turner (the "branch manager") of the Westwood Branch is incompetent and refuses to fix mistakes that happen within her branch. As an added bonus, after she completely screws up anything she touches, she will then begin to stonewall and refuse to speak with you when confronted about what has happened.It's hard to say for sure, maybe she's just suffering from a total inability to function in her job, but I think perhaps something more sinister is going on here, such as outright theft from this branch's customer base. Either way, I would avoid this branch, and really First Citizens as a whole, at all possible costs. If you want to donate your hard earned money somewhere, there are much more deserving places than First Citizens or Sherry Turner!
Matthew Whipple: I have been a satisfied customer for many years with multiple personal and business accounts. I have just had an experience with terrible customer service that just blew me away. I recently took out a small business loan around March, they told me the first payment was due in April. Ok April rolls around i received no bill in May i contacted my contact at the local branch by text to ask why im not receiving bills. No answer. Awhile more she contacts me and says im late on pmt for loan! So i gave her permission to draft out of my business account for pmt. I told her im not receiving bills. Time rolls into June i texted her i still have received no bills. She never answered me. June 14th i received my 1st bill dated June 10th and i also received to late notices at the same time with two late charges. She told me the reason i wasnt getting my bills is because only my business name is on them not personal however the 1st bill i just received on June 14th had just my business name no personal name. I still at this point have no answer for why i cant receive a monthly bill to pay my loan! Also they think i owe them to late charges. This has gone from weird to rediculous! The reason for 1 star is after 3 months its still not resolved, with no apologies, and 2 late charges to boot! Pathetic customer service!

David Harris: If I could give less than one star I would. I went in there today to make a payment and since it is a closed account I needed them to get the account number. While the teller was willing to help me the manager told her no. I wasbasked if I had a phone and if so I needed to call myself. She stated it was because they didn't have people who could help, there were at least 6 people working. This is not my first time paying on this account and needing them to call to find it. She was just very rude with how she handled it. Now I see why people say to stay away from Wells Fargo. To have a manager who isn't willing to help shows they don't care about their customers

Mary Alford: This branch will not give me a withdrawal slip to take with me so I could have my business already filled out. The manger said August 3,2022 they couldn’t because it was a legal document. How is it legal document and there is no information on it until I put my information on it. That’s when it becomes a legal document. The manager said because of scammers. What can a scammer do with a blank paper with nothing on it and you sure can’t put in a teller machine. They have nasty attitudes at this bank.
Harris Baloch: Poor experience.Had to notarize one piece of paper and waited close to half an hour before just walking out. Apparently, entire bank has only one person that can notarize and was having a meeting with his/her “boss.” Well it was a very long meeting.I would imagine a reasonable bank would have more than one person who can do notary work or would at least provide a more accurate timeframe.

ss r: This one of the worst experiences I have with banking. Every visit I have to wait for an hour or more to get hold of a banker to get to my safe deposit box or any other banking needs. They claim to be short staffed for over a year. Bankers can be seen just making small talk with customers instead of attending to the long line of waiting customers. They dont even have a sign in sheet anymore. PNC bank down the street is far more customer friendly. Manager here is not receptive when we approached him with this.
Hope Sweet: Needed a speak to a banker on a Saturday was told to come back on Monday. When one was available on Saturday. How can they do business like this.

I had a important phone call that came in during the process and didn't want too be rude, she understood and still worked with me and allowed me too take the phone call.Oh yea, let me also say, I had to make this appointment with notary and after I scheduled it the notary called me back and said she could fit me in the next day!

Reymond Sanchez: How on earth this bank can be so slow is a mystery to me, I came in to pull some money out of my account while my replacement card was on the way. After waiting outside the front door for 15 minutes before anyone came out and told me I had to go to the side and drive through with the teller, I then had to wait over an hour to drive the 25 meters from the front door to the teller window. An hour is beyond ridiculous as I write this there is currently a nearly 15 car line waiting for these slow tellers.

Patrick Watts: I showed up to a scheduled appointment and we had to remind the customer service representative as he had forgotten about the appointment. Needless to say he realized he had made an error and told us he could not service us because we were 10min late to an hour long appointment. I called twice and left a message notifying him I was enroute, but apparently he was too busy to answer the phone. Happy to take my business elsewhere.Update: the response from the Wells Fargo HL social worked for me. They answered my complaints and resolved my issues “quickly”. I wish this particular branch had the that same servitude. My advice to anyone experiencing issues with this branch is to follow up with the response from the owner. They came through and I thank them for this.

Unless you decided to quit your job to wait in line at the bank, don't bother showing up.Update: this hour and a half turned to two hours and the teller tried arguing with me about how long I was in line for. She tried telling me that they close at 5 even though I had been in line since 3:30. I try to be as level headed as possible because I really feel for people in the service industry, but the level of unprofessional additude among the staff is disgraceful.

Tammy Ladd: In the midst of COVID-19, why would the only branch office open in this area have only 2 tellers working a 4 lane drive thru? The lines were up to 7 cars in line, and it took me 30 minutes to make it to the teller. It seems irresponsible that day after day, realizing the increased demand due to the lobby being closed that more tellers are not scheduled to work the drive thru.The tellers(both of them) are wonderful, but overworked and working in a VERY stressful situation!I tried to get through to the manager, but there was no answer, so I’m communicating in this manner.
Casey KC: Disappointed that I asked a teller to get my account and routing number and they told me the ONLY way to get it was to sit down with a banker. They were very busy the day that I asked about it and I didn't have time to. So now a while later I find out on google you can just look it up on the website in your account. LeRoy Hodges: I have tolerated their poor customer service over the years because I have been lazy about switching everything since so many things are connected to my account. Yesterday's encounter finally motivated me. The branch manager spent more time trying to find reasons why she couldn't help me despite me pointing out that I had been a customer since 1990 (before Wachovia was bought out by Wells Fargo). I should have changed years ago, but I will be doing it now. I also reminded them that they have been begging for my commercial business for the past 2 years, however, the branch manager told me that it was her decision not to help me. This is what happens when you just accept subpar customer service...they figure since you've taken it the past that you will continue to take it in the future.
