Sunshine House of Fayetteville at Hopper Road: what do users think?
Tiara Tillman: My son has been attending this facility since he was 4 months old. When he first started; the experience was great. The infant room and the teacher were amazing. I did not worry a bit about leaving my son in their care. I could tell that Ms. Mariana loved him dearly and that is still reflected. She was and is a constant in this center and to my son.As of lately, after transitioning from the infant room to the toddler room, there has been a dramatic change and not for the better. This is very disheartening and uneasy as a parent with a child that can't communicate for himself just yet.The classroom isn't equipped to develop and engage toddlers during care. There are limited books for the students to read, limited educational toys for them to play and develop properly with, or for the teachers to incorporate into creative learning lessons. The teacher's ability to educate the toddlers creatively is non-existing to due lack of knowledge and resources. There isn't any professional development happening for the teachers. It is evident because they were unable to communicate the necessary growth milestones my son should be achieving for his age during curriculum night. The overall environment of the facility has definitely declined. The expectation and quality of care has depleted due to the lack of attentiveness to the children and effective communication. In the last few weeks, I have been greeted with unprofessional remarks about children within the center, unproductive and inaccurate communication regarding my son's behavior. The teachers act as if it is a problem for them that my son is a typical busy, energetic toddler. It is not a pleasant feeling to be greeted with what feels almost like a negative remark for what is normal for my child at this age. Last week he came home with a missing sock and was bitten by another child and there was no accident report filed nor was I notified. That is unacceptable.
Desy R: So confused by these good reviews. This place is not it. everytime you walk in there’s no smiling faces. I never got that warm comfortable feeling. You can tell the genuine love for children is missing. It’s a mess not clean. My daughter got the flu instantly after starting. My husband witnessed multiple times a young teacher yelling at the 1 year olds. My daughter cried bad when she knew she was coming here.(at her new daycare she’s excited & doesn’t cry) &I really don’t believe they treated her good when i left. The AD is unprofessional . Brooke the director told me before my daughter started to prepare for her to come home with bites and scratches. She’s Unprofessional & be getting her hair done in the office. She will tell you one thing & forget & then it’s something different. These people didnt really want my daughter here and it showed. I could really go on & on. I worked at a different sunshine house for a couple years & it was lovely so this experience was shocking. Im familiar with the big bosses Emily & barbara lovely women but 147 needs some genuine love & professionalism in the building
Cristian Pate: Absolutely LOVE the teachers and staff. The curriculum is so well put together and they're always kind.
Brittany Waller: The is by far the best center in Fayetteville! Brook and her staff always go above and beyond to provide the best excellent care possible for the children! I love all of the staff and have always felt very welcomed and part of a family since my child started attending this center!
Kaylee Erlewine: The staff is very friendly and caring, the director is amazing, and they are very clean. My son has been going since spring time and I would not have him go anywhere else. They are like my second family. Keep up the amazing work.
Marc & Bella: They don't respond to emails.
Chris M: I will admit to having some concerns about the way things are done sometimes, but with a proper understanding thanks to the amazing director, I realize it is all done for the growth and development of the children to become independent; I.e. when getting dressed and using the restroom. I cannot be upset knowing my child is learning properly, and his decision making and his private space are being respected. Nobody is perfect but the director Mrs. Brooke will listen to your concerns and passionately address them accordingly. I am very satisfied with how my concerns were addressed and wish for the best experience to every parent enrolling here. The only other concern that I understand is a problem that only corporate can change is sand in the playgrounds. It’s used at every center and fills my child’s shoes everyday leaving a mess in his hair, the car and house if we forget to shake his shoes out; not to mention the bacteria that sand Carries. Sunshine house please switch to rubber chips! This would be a five star review if not for that.
Charles Osei: My son has been attending this center for years. Mrs. Brook is the 3rd Director and Mrs. Shy is the 3rd AD that has been there since he started however they are the BEST management team that center has ever had and I don’t say that lightly you have to be a long time parent to really appreciate the difference in the level of care being received now versus what was. The fact that the kids love the teachers that are there now… all it takes is peeping inside the other classrooms to see all the work being done. You know the center not letting parents in due to Covid worried me but when I walked back into my sons school and saw what had been done in the building my mind is blown away. The building not only looks clean it also smells clean. If I could give this program 10 stars that wouldn’t be enough. Just the fact that when I have an issue they are willing to admit their mistakes and work towards a resolution is more than one could ever hope for! Thank you Mrs. Tyson for all that you do with my child in the time you’re able to. I’m glad to be a part of the 147 family.
RaeInna Griffin: My child has been attending sunshine house since he was two and I love the entire staff!! Ms.Brooke is a wonderful director and stays on top of most of everything from the center to the children , to activities for the children to interact in from simply holidays to activities expanding their mind and skills. My son will be 4 on Wednesday and I’m VERY excited for me to move to Ms.V’s room and tell me all about his new learning experiences he’ll be learning! I love the sunshine house!! Keep up the GREAT work Ms.Brooke and Staff!! Your greatly appreciated 🦋✨
Tyneshia Davis: My children been with sunshine house 2 years now. Never had any problems at all. I love everything they do with the children there. All the ladies that work there is very nice and very professional. They listen to the parents is anything is wrong and make changes right than and there. The convenience the babies have to learn and the fun they have. And party Fridays when the have there music playing and all the children dance and have fun.. my children love everyone of the ladies that works there. My children are older so if they had any issues there I would know about but they haven't since they been going there.. they love all the ladies that works at the sunshine house.. my children trying to get me to work there too lol..
Shawdea Carter: My daughter loves the sunshine house. The staff is helpful and friendly and thank you to Mrs Brooks
Sara Taylor: I have been bringing my son to this center since Sept. 2021. Brooke and her staff have always been welcoming, accommodating, communicative, and professional. My son has attended two separate age group classrooms and they transitioned him carefully and are great with the potty training process. This center always looks AND smells clean. Brooke is great at including teachers and students in holidays and different planned activities. I'm very happy with the care we have received- especially when considering the price we are paying. I recommend this daycare to anyone looking to have their kid in loving hands!
Susan A Fennell: Ms. V is doing great teaching my child. My daughter is in Pre-k and she is definitely learning a lot. She knows her numbers, ABC’s, days of the week and even know how to write some letters now. I appreciate Ms. V, Ms. Brook, and the whole SSH Center 147 team!!!
Hellen Kriz: My daughter is a new four year old and has been attending sunshine house for a little over two months now and i absolutely love it. She comes home sharing so much knowledge that shes learned there. She came home all last week telling me the person that invented potato chips and the first black woman that went to the moon and about so much more historical figures. shes learned her months of the year and days of the week and has retain so much with the help of her wonderful teacher. So thankful my daughter has fun all while being in a stimulating environment that prepares her for her following years!
Christina Waller: Sunshine house 147 is an amazing place that I decided to put my toddler in! He has never been to daycare before so I was a bit nervous but from the first conversation with Mrs. Brooke I knew it was fate especially with he lady bug comment! I had recently lost my Grandmother and she loved ladybugs so I felt like that was my first sign to pick this facility! My son is very shy and over the last 9 months I have seen a big change in him! He loves to go to “school” wants to play with his friends and learn! He has learned to count/colors/ and how to be a good toddler! If your looking for a center your child will excel in this is the place to pick. They truly care and have a true passion for the cause! The staff is not just a daycare that watches your kid but a place for them to learn and grow into greet humans!
Yazmin Delgado: The Sunshine House has been amazing to my family! My son enjoys attending and I always pick him up in a great mood. The director Mrs. Brook is fabulous, she is genuinely interested in the success of every child that attends and her passion towards child development is inspiring. She always answers any child development questions I might have with such in-depth knowledge and provides great resources. I truly appreciate all of the staff members helping to guide and educate my son towards a better future we couldn’t do without y’all! Thank you for being a part of my son’s journey!
Jackie Cabral: My 3 kids have been in this daycare for only 4 months and it definitely the best daycare. The staff is extremely professional and caring. The director is very involved and you can tell she cares about the kids. She is very responsive to any questions I may have. I have never seen a daycare director be so involved even to just open the door during pick up. I am inspired by the contributions they do for kids and other causes in the city. Helps my kids learn about volunteering and helping others. I also like that she ensures covid procedures are enforced with the kids and parents. It really helps me have a peace of mind as a military parent to know that my kids are in the best hands under Ms. Brooke Fletchers care.
McKinzie Rehnke: This is the absolute best place for your Children! I wouldn’t think to put my kids anywhere else! I know they are safe and well taken care of at Sunshine house on Hopper road. Ms Brooke is an angel! Not only do they take care of the kids they also make sure you’re taken care of.
Faydra Boynton: This is the first time my son has been away from me or his dad since having him and let me tell ya, the staff at SSH off Hopper have really helped make it a peaceful process for all of us. It is such a huge relief to know my son is in great hands and taken care of in our absence. They send updates (if you request it) throughout the whole day and send photos, it’s like I know what he is doing every hour throughout the day and that alone really helps. My heart is a ease every time I get one of those because I know he is happy and well taken care of. The staff at the SSH are professional, educated, and really friendly. I am so happy with the decision we made with picking this daycare.
Tasha Johnson: Outstanding care at the Hopper Rd location. My son attends and he loves it. Especially Brook the director has been helpful as well as her assistant Ms. T. Brook outshines everyone else in the childcare industry in town. You won’t get better hands on personal care. She knows her stuff and she makes sure her center is run according to state policies. What I love is she is able to do so while still showing love and care to the little ones. I love Hopper Rd Sunshine house and I don’t plan to leave.
T Quinones: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueWe absolutely love Mrs. Brooke & Tanesha and all the ladies in the infant department. On top of running the facility with professionalism, the safety and comfort of all the children are their top priority. This is the only child care center in Fayetteville that I felt at ease with entrusting them with my infant!

Lewis Chapel Middle School: what do users think?
Janet Cardassi: Although the schools population is mostly those of color, other children blend in nicely. Relaxed dress code, no uniforms. Focus is on Sports. Low academic rating.
Sydney lotus: …..
Alexis McCarty: 1st day to a new school. I think ? she will do great
Victoria Crawford: our bus schedule was changed to be lasted to be picked up and last to be dropped off, when our bus schedule was first to be picked up, first the be dropped off, And its really dumb I would swap buses If I could.
Sage Wolf: This school is the reason I have PTSD. They truly don't care for your children. I would rather homeschool my kids than let them near this school. It is not a safe environment and had constant fights. Horrible bullying. Deplorable school honestly. 2014-2015.No bullying is what they pledge but failed over and over again even turning a blind eye to it.
Alfredo: I personally go to this school and I hate it so much it’s just not a place for you to send your kids at from a first person view the rice krispeys have bugs in it and the half of the staff is nice and the other… well let’s just say they could improve on there profession. There is fights every day kids doing crazy stuff all day every day and to top it off most of the teachers don’t care about what they are teaching about and when it comes to a test the stuff you “learned” about are there and you are just left to guess
Jajuan Shaw: Yoga Ball
why not: Absolutely HORRIBLE! The teachers will lie about anything and when someone is getting bullied then stands up for themselves, they’re punished. They allow kids to be bullied and won’t do anything about it. The students and administrators are just as bad as the school itself and definitely some teachers and administrators need to lose their job. Do NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE! THE ENVIRONMENT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.
Fantastic Mya: Very rude out of control school , please do better.
Jamie Edgerton: If I could rate this school a zero I would! I've been in touch with the superintendent and still nothing changes.
Eggspark: At first, I hated this school because I was afraid, but now it's the best school I ever been to. I made so many new friends who appreciated me. I loved band (best band I been to) and it's sad because I had to move.
Dawn C: The kids bully kids then when they stick up for friends they get bullied & suspended from the school bus so I'm calling the news & reporting it. My kid has NEVER been in trouble she was on Honor Roll this is the WORST SCHOOL
taniya gamez: They really don't know the health code and the teachers are very disrespectful they badly let the children go to the restrooms
Rodney Mccoy: Sucks
Mackenzie: I hate this geto school
norma.t miller: Just listening to the content of some of these students conversation,, will make you fear for the future,, very sad ,, too many students and overworked staff
Rikka B: Horrible school
Clarinda Cox: I have enrolled and unenrolled a couple of my children. I unenrolled them because their grades dropped big time. Their is no respect given to parents. The biggest thing is they do not follow IEP's and they do not provide books for children who need that extra help at home. Teacher their have no problems lying to parents about their childs grade. They will kick your child out of class everyday and tell you( parent) that they are doing great. I could keep going but that is just to much to put on a review & that is a sad, sad thing.
daiquan mcneill: Its a very nice place where u can find out who u really want to be
anniyah jackson: They teach the students well, its just that the school is bad and they dont have any manners when it comes to respect

Alpha Academy: what do users think?
prodbyrxnny!: L School + L Staff + L Principal + L Superintendent + L Teachers + yb betterAlpha Academy
Amanda McLaughlin: This school is awful. They claim to care about your children and their education, yet they can’t even respond to the parent about simple things like homework. They are so disorganized and don’t know which way is up. They definitely don’t want the parents to be involved. They just expect you to drop them off and treat them like they are a babysitter. My son didn’t show up to school and they didn’t even call to make sure he was okay or why he wasn’t there. That is only a few of the problems I have had.
Djeneba Sombie: Great School nice teachers
sana futaba: bad little booth hat
Daisy Wagner: Terrible school most teachers there are extremely rude
Phoenix Stellar: I cannot put in words how astronomically disgusting and bad this school is. For my almost 3 years of being at this school it has completely ruined my life and my childhood I will never see my life the same ever again, to the bullying to rude staff this place should be shut down as it is a never ending bottomless pit of death. The teachers and staff do absolutely nothing when people are bullied, discriminated ex. The teachers are very impulsive and wrong minded individuals. It makes me think that they just hire anybody. The amount of racism in this school is very uncalled for but reporting many situations myself it never was bothered. All the student are very inappropriate and racist. Please DO NOT In role your child in this school if you don’t want them to be suicidal.
Dannie “Sway_Jazz.Sax” Mcdon: This place has an outstandingly disgusting staff/teachers. As a former students of alpha academy that has attended this school under a year ago,I find myself soaring higher in my academics in my current school. The teachers do not respect their students, and they don't listen to the child even though they have a valid point. When the parents get involved with the teacher, the teachers act like goody two shoes and blame everything that has went wrong in their classroom on the student. When the parents and Teachers have arguments, the teacher takes their anger out on the student while they are at school and the parents are not around to witness this type of verbal and metal abuse.
JD_Predator1998: My parents wanted to do what was best for me but all they did was help me open my eyes about what was one of the worst ideas they have ever made. This is the worst school out of every school I've been to, and the teachers are very rude and belligerent. You want what's best for your child, keep them away from "Alpha" Academy before you end up torturing their lives just like mine were.
Ressie Castro: Because they never find out what's wrong the students I had a granddaughter go here and she was expelled because of her behavior but there was reasonns for her behavior but they never asked her what's wrong 😑💔
bryan marzolf: My daughters first week of school her teacher called her slow for not having her sentences done fast enough. Her daycare teacher heard the whole thing. Mind you my daughter is 6 and is dealing with a heavy emotional burden for her age. I am pulling her out immediately and highly advise to never send your child here.
Poptropican: I went here for 6 years. But no one remembers me.- Ethan Crawford
Gregory Owens: Bad
Kayla Wigley: Incredible teachers, strong administration who supports the students/staff, challenging curriculum, and structured learning environment. The school is always clean and welcoming. We were there for a few months before moving and my son loved it! Communication is very well! I'm excited to follow Alpha from afar to see how they grow. This is far better than the public schools in Hoke county!
Skydriverlemon: This school is ok
Shavon Franklin: The learning environment is amazing, my daughter was a challenged and my other daughter improved a great deal when we selected this school. They are adding sports programs; however, I feel they can do a better job with their soccer team which seems a little unorganized. Also enrichment classes are scarce or nearly non existent. Art, Music, PE was not what I expected it to be. I was interested in the idea of a guitar and martial arts that was advertised when I first enrolled them, but haven't heard anything about it since. Otherwise, it's growing and I can't wait to see what more it has to offer, I will be patient with the process.
gloria ingram: It was terrible because my daughter had to struggle between the teacher switching schools. She struggle in science because she had 3 teacher befor the 2nd quater. And the principals were rude and disrespectful.
Kai Gobig: There is no buses and you get stuck in traffic jams on the 401 I think that I’m going to remove my child and go to another school you stay in that traffic jam for 30 minutes it’s not worth it I have been trying to get my child on the bus but I never gotten any information on how to do so I live like 3 minutes away but traffic is too much and instead that 3 minutes turns into 30-40 minutes not a good experience so far
Mocha Cariballo: Every parent wants what’s best for their child, education being at the top of the list. I against my own better judgment decided to enroll my children into Alpha Academy, what a horrendous mistake! From the beginning of the school Year until the very end I thought we had jumped in a tar pit and We found ourselves pressure cooking everyday. My children came from a school of qualified professional Educators where they maintained A/B averages. We’re in Stem Programs and a safe environment conducive to learning experiences. They loved school and were awarded perfect attendance and given achievement awards. At Alpha Academy they were exposed to unqualified caregivers holding teacher positions. You can say as long as a body was in the building it’s school as usual. My children’s homework was lost on a regular bases by these caregivers, affecting their report card grade then later found in a pile on the corner and Grade never changed. A lunch bag was in the middle of the floor, and it was kicked at my child by a teacher. I had to call several times and then made a visit to speak with the principal which used the so called resolving method of remediation. Talking things out led to a years worth of chaos and lies. there were never solutions, just patching up and brushing things under the rug, just to keep the parents under control. The school name is a disgrace, there is nothing Alpha about it. I have met with The Superintendant over numerous of times regarding bullying from students as well as teachers. I even had to go as far as contacting the board of directors. On one occasion I met with the Superintendant concerning my child not being allowed to go to the restroom during certain times of the month. I had to pay a special visit to the doctors office to get a dr.’s note to give Alpha Academy’s front office for her to be able to go to the restroom when necessary. My youngest child was sent outside without a coat in below freezing weather, and then when the teacher was questioned why, “ she says where she’s from kids go out all the time without coats”. Also there was an incident where a student told my child that she was going to be beaten up until she dies. Principal nor the superintendent did nothing. I met with them and again all they did was remediation and the bullying continued. It continued all the way until the end of the school year. I tried to give the school the benefit of the doubt. I should have gone with my better Judgement from the beginning. My children hated Alpha Academy everyday. Sometimes crying on the way to school. Many things are judged. I have removed my children from Alpha Academy never to return again. I encourage anyone that cares and wants the best educational experience , loving environment and respectful atmosphere to choose another school. I drop the mic.
XD MSP: Hello I’m going to this school this year I’m going to 7th grade and I wanted to know if this school is a good place and will help me learn ?
KHYONE or YONE: As An Past student at Alpha I believe That Treatment And Then the conflict Between Students And Teachers Are unexeseptable. It’s So bad To the point that it blocks Our learning Exsperience. I was An 7th Grader There And Will Never Go Back Again!
Gerome Q. Banks: Most of the year, the school has been ok. They have a rigorous academic standard, great sports program and plenty of extracurricular activities for the kiddos. But at the end of the year, something's not right. My sixth grader currently has an A in math, is a bright girl, but an end of grade math assessment has identified her for summer school. But it's not just her. All but four of her classmates have also been identified for summer school. Something doesn't pass the smell test. After expressing my concerns, the administration will not return my messages of concern.Update: After getting to speak with the staff, they informed me that the summer school was not mandatory and as long as my sixth grader met all the yearly requirements, she would advance to the next grade.
