12th State CrossFit: what do users think?
Carter Mcbride: Dropped in during Thanksgiving week to keep up my (olympic-style) weightlifting training momentum. The gym had plenty of space and tons of equipment to use even during full Crossfit classes. There is also both a covered and un-covered yard for nice days if you want to train outdoors. Staff was helpful and responsive via email and in person. I'll be back any time I'm in the area visiting family.
Madji Namde: Excellent community, coaching, and programming with a true focus on longevity (and looking better naked)!
Olivia Dhaliwal: I dropped in from out of town just for one work out literally on my way in the middle of the road trip. This gym is fantastic, the members are so kind and welcoming, and the coaches are energetic and encouraging and knowledgeable. The gym is very clean and well equipped. Highly recommend to anyone passing through, or looking for a box to call home.
Sean A. Brosnahan: Today I got an email from 12th State thanking me for being a member for one year. I am just about 47 years old, have never been remarkably active or physically fit, and in May 2021 was weighing in at 224 when I sent a plea for help to Mollie at 12th State. I wanted a group environment to push me, and hands on training to make sure that push was safe. I’d heard all the negatives about this type of training, but also was intrigued as it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I was super insecure about this, but the Google and Facebook reviews were so positive and they all said the same thing: Hands on coaching, safe environment, able to scale to your abilities and still push your limits, with an amazing community of both coaches and members. My first workout was a mix of box steps ups, single arm dumbbell cleans, burpees, and ring rows. I couldn’t do more than two burpees in a row without needing a break. I thought I was going to die when I was done. But Coach Whitney and every member there were so supportive, I couldn’t help but come back for another go. The next session was Gwen, and I barely managed to get through it using only the barbell.A year later, I’m down to 207 lbs. I can run a 5K. I’ve successfully completed a 100 burpee WOD for time, and today I hit a 155# clean and jerk (A year ago I’d have told you a clean and jerk was something very different, for sure). All of this may sound like nothing to the average athlete. But if you’re like I was a year ago: older, completely out of shape, uneducated about fitness, intimidated as hell, and unsure where to turn…I suggest you turn to 12th State CrossFit.Every coach is amazing, professional, and has provided me insight on how to safely improve my performance. Not a bad seed in the bunch. The facility is super clean, well managed, and Mollie and Dale (owners) really care about the members on a personal level. And all the members here are just great people. I owe a lot of my progress in the last year to the support from the community. Whether you’re an experienced athlete, or like me and the total opposite, this is the box to join.
Jason LaFayette: This is the best CrossFit box with the best owners and members. They treat their athletes like family. Coaches Whitney and Benji are top notch and truly spent time with you to ensure your technique improves and help you to work around old injuries.
Jason Cunningham: My teen son takes classes and loves it! He is worn out and always has a great time after class.
Mary Eloise Velasco: I've attended a handful of sessions at 12th State and already grateful for my time here. From the second you step through that door, a coach is present to greet you and the community is readily supportive. The facility is clean, up-to-date, and well equipped. I also appreciate that there is a significant focus on proper form, safety, and appropriate scaling options for the WODs. As someone who is in her early 30s and is just getting back into crossfit after 4 years, I value the coaches' attentiveness and feedback while you're working out. Even simple conversations on whether and how far I should challenge myself (or scale back) are beneficial. Helps me feel reassured that my foundations are sound while I work my way to more technically advanced movements.
Kelli Kaspar: I absolutely cannot recommend this gym more. The owners and coaches are fantastic in every way! They are knowledgeable, experienced, and great teachers who care about their athlete's fitness and progression. The community they have cultivated is unmatched. The members are friendly, fun and treat you like family. The causes and charities this gym supports positively impacts our local community, and the events they put on are always a blast. Plus, the facility is large, up-to-date and clean, and there are more class times to choose from than any gym I have been a member of or visited, and they are open 6 days a week and have 3 fitness paths to choose from depending on your goals. They Post gymnastic clinics and lifting clinics and nutritional challenges and even have kids/teen classes, custom programming, in-house sports massage, and nutritionists available! Best gym in Raleigh!
Britnie Thomas: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Brett Delp: Great box to drop in if you are traveling from out of town. Coaches are great and friendly. They have various workout options for all skill levels.
Emeric Harney: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualitySuch a great community of coaches and clients alike. Felt instantly like I was surrounded with close friends and in an atmosphere where I could have fun and grow my fitness.
Sean Dunn: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI had a few members tell me when I started a week ago that I found a great place, and idefinitely felt that even before then. I love how the coaches are quick to make sure you're doing things right and safe. Keep up the good work 12th state!
Christian F: I was down in Raleigh visiting a friend. I'm a member at a crossfit box at home and chose this gym, while on vacation, to drop into and bring by friend to his first class. The members were welcoming and the coach was attentive, helpful, and nice. Would reccomend. PS, parking is across the street, we didn't see it at first and had to move our car.
Drew Erdelack: Wow is this place legit! This “box” is one of the largest Crossfit gyms I have ever seen. It has everything you need for any kind of workout. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. The coaches have a lot of experience and know what they’re doing. One of the coaches, Whitney, has competed at a high level, and can offer a wealth of knowledge to a client at any skill level (and she is very friendly, down to earth, and fun to be around). You definitely will not regret giving this gym a shot 💪.
Ronnie Byrd: They are awesome I absolutely love the coaches and the people I’m in class with. Thank you all for pushing me to be great. You guys rock.
Rachel Holder: Dropped in from VA. Nicely equipped box. Super friendly coaches and members.
Dan LaRoche: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThe coaching, the environment, the facility — all top notch. I really enjoy 12th State!
rsgamble rsgamble: 12th State CrossFit is fantastic. When inquiring about the faculty, they were very quick to respond and fully answered all of my questions. The trial class was great as everyone was welcoming and the coaches were very helpful. The workouts are challenging but scalable for anyone. I like the clear programming that works toward a specific goal rather than random workouts. Coaches are there to help and provide proper technique. Highly recommend!
Andy Jakubowicz: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat place. Super welcoming to all ability levels. There’s rock stars and novices (me) but everyone is totally welcome. The coaches have been awesome teaching to my level. I’d definitely recommend it .
Jennifer Edwards: Hands down the best gym in Raleigh. The ownership and coaches are awesome. This isn’t just a place to get a great workout, but a community full of friends and family that care about you and your goals.
Holly Wiggin: 12th State is the best CrossFit facility in Raleigh! I've tried several but none compare to 12th State's top notch programming (easily scalable to all fitness levels and interests), cleanliness (have never seen such a clean CF box before!), coaches (hilarious, entertaining, knowledgeable, and dedicated to their members), and overall excellent management. 12th State prides themselves on 5 star customer service, and they do a great job at it. I've been a member for two years and recently tried to switch to a different gym. I missed 12th State too much and came back! You won't be disappointed.

CrossFit RDU: what do users think?
Martin Hemphill: I wish I had started CrossFit sooner if this was the experience I’ve been missing out on. I’ve never been to a gym that was so friendly, sociable and uplifting. From the coaches, to the owner and the other gym patrons. I look forward to classes each week to learn something new each time I go.I’m a complete beginner and highly recommend the beginner class sessions. For anyone looking to try. They are a great way to learn some of the technical aspects of CrossFit as well as building a routine.
Kevin Stewart: I've been here for a little over 100 days and I love it. Can't wait to come back. Very supportive community, great coaches, great programming. Great management. I've noticed great changes in my physique since I have been here. I highly recommend!
Jonathan Flores: Really nice place !!!
Carrie Holowiti: After the sudden passing of my best friend, my husband Troy, in June, I knew I was in need of a positive outlet to manage my grief. I'd reached out to Erin and, even though I was wishy-washy about the commitment for weeks, she was there to encourage, not push; and reminded me they were there when I was ready. Erin met me at the gym, walked through the huge facility, and talked me through what CrossFit RDU had to offer. I took the first step and showed up this week and was instantly welcome by others in the class and coaches; I felt immediately welcomed. Taking that first step, showing up and committing is just what I needed to continue through this difficult time. Thank you CrossFit RDU; glad to be part of the family.
Kevin McCabe: The gym is massive compared to most boxes, easily twice as large as every other box I’ve been to. Lots of convenient class times, knowledgeable and encouraging coaches, plenty of clean, well maintained equipment and an awesome, uplifting community! What’s not to love?!?
Jacques Arse: Lots of weights and machines. Great crew working out there.
Stephon Jeffries: Nice
M V: Dropped in today for a class. Steve (owner), coaches, and attendees were all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and made me feel welcome. The gym is exceptionally clean and well equipped. When in Raleigh I will definitely drop in again!
Cam Honour: Huge facility, great coaches, and a wonderful community.
Andrew Dacus: Dropped in today, and loved it! Great welcoming culture. Huge box too.
A Webb: Great gym, Great coaching, Great community!Steve Johnson and his coaches do a great job of creating community. CrossFit RDU focuses on proper form before increasing the weight and speed. The gym itself is in large facility that is clean and has clean restrooms. The gym is well equipped with lots of weights. The members of CrossFit RDU are encouraging to each other, there is a sense of community. I am proud to be a member of Crossfit RDU for the past two years, since moving to Raleigh. Crossfit RDU also has a lot of parking.
Kevin Rumsey: Motivator
Michael Brown: Great coaches, great facility, great people
Kyle Young: Just checked in and Crossfit RFU is AMAZING with even better customer service. This was my first "drop in" and everyone was very welcoming. Great community. Highly Recommended!
Wayne Glass: Dropped in from Minnesota. Absolutely loved the facility and the customer service is amazing.
Demante Saunders: Friendly people and they are there to help!
Jon Owens: Great facility. They host competitions outside the CrossFit realm. Great people.
Jonathan Boortz-Marx: Stop by this gym whenever I'm in town! Members and coaching staff are welcoming, knowledgeable. Love the fact their drop-in policy is free of charge as well. Would recommend this gym to anyone in the area looking for a place to drop-in or even full membership.
Allison Snead: CrossFit truly is for everyone. I wish I listened to people who told me that sooner. I was a non-believer and afraid to try. This year, as a result of joining CrossFit RDU, with self-discipline and the fantastic coaching, I lost 30+pounds (kept it off), discontinued blood pressure medicine (7 years) gained self-confidence and friendships and ran my first ½ marathon. When I joined the CrossFit RDU gym, I NEVER thought I would look forward to lifting weights, but I actually enjoy it. I used it as an starting point to reach another goal I’ve always dreamed of…running a marathon…Every individual in the gym has different goals. Some people are there to get “fit”, some are competitive, some are like me and some have combined agendas. You need to remind yourself of that when you are there. YOU are there to reach YOUR goals, not anyone else’s.CrossFit taught me not to quit. I initially avoided going to CrossFit when I didn’t “like” a workout, I soon learned the workouts I didn’t “like” were the ones I needed most. CrossFit also taught me to STOP and rest when I’d had enough, and know it was ok to do that.Success is measured by you and YOUR body and what YOU are capable of. As long as you have worked your body the best that YOU could have, YOU will be a SUCCESS. Be true to yourself, that’s all that matters.
Ashley Moralez: Absolutely love this gym! Just started a couple weeks ago and I can't wait to be going 5 times a week. Everyone is so friendly and I can tell the results will come. Amazing place, recommend it to everyone who wants healthy competition and to truly push themselves!
John Prichard: I have been part of the CrossFit RDU community since May 2013. Looking back, I wish I made the decision to join much, much sooner. I had been a CrossFit skeptic for quite some time. I had friends participating in CrossFit in other parts of NC and throughout the US for years, and all of them told me how great CrossFit was. I worked out in the traditional sense for over 19 years. My routine consisted of lifting 4 days a week and maybe the occasional run or bike ride for my “cardio” workout. I was THAT guy you see them in the gym all the time. The guy who works his chest and arms and finds every excuse in the book to neglect his legs. That was me. When some of my friends were joining CrossFit gyms, I was always telling them they couldn’t get stronger and you couldn’t build strength that way. I was set in my ways and thought traditional training was THE way to build muscle, get stronger, and have lasting endurance. In March/April 2013, I became curious about CrossFit and the endurance aspect it proclaimed to provide. I ran a 5K, really struggled with my “wind”, and barely finished in under 27 minutes. As I approached 40, I was also beginning to pay more attention to my heart health, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, etc… as my family history is really bad in all those regards. So, I began researching other training routines, and CrossFit was one of them. I watched Youtube videos of various CrossFit workouts and also snippets of Crossfit Games competitions. I instantly identified with the camaraderie, and the physiques of the athletes appealed to me as well. The other aspects I really liked, were the personal coaching and level of attention to proper form and technique and enthusiasm/motivation all the coaches provided. The set class schedules, relatively small class sizes, and the always changing “Workout of the Day” also was a big positive for me. After the research, I thought I would give Crossfit RDU a try. I came in and went through all the movements and a few short, sample workouts. I could tell right away my personal endurance would be severely tested, and if I could stick with it, should see results pretty quick. Boy did I ever. I have gone from a 5’11”, 210 pound top-heavy guy, to a more balanced, lean 185 pounds in 4 short months. The enthusiasm/coaching from the noon coaches (Steve, Logan, and Pete) combined with the effort of my other noon CrossFit classmates have really challenged me to go outside my comfort zone, work harder than ever before, embrace the challenging workouts and strive to get stronger and fitter than ever before. Never did I think I would deadlift 400 pounds, do 100 pull-ups in a single workout, or run a sub 6:30 mile again. In 4 months, all of those have been accomplished. Every day I look forward to the workout and to continue striving to become a fitter, healthier person. My one regret was not finding Crossfit RDU years earlier.

Felipe Jaramillo: What a wonderful WOD! For a drop in. Coaches were welcoming and the facility was perfect. I will definitely come back again. Recommended.

Danielle Hunt: Amazing coaches, WODs and box. Super welcoming and they care about their members.
Jeff Wann: Great box, great staff, incredible community. Thanks for letting me drop in.💪💪🍻
Suzanne Martin: As someone with minor CrossFit experience, not in "ideal" physical fitness and nervous about a gym / box setting, I've enjoyed my experience thus far. The coaches I've interacted with are helpful and encouraging.
Greg Garcia: Positive:ProfessionalismI was in town visiting friends and was able to squeeze in a workout. SO GLAD I CHOSE INVOKE! The coaches were friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Great energy in this community. Can't recommend this gym enough. I will visit again when I return to town.
Marley Chey: Critical:Professionalism
James Bullard: Probably the best drop-in I've had in years. Jen walked me around the facility and I was deeply impressed. LOADS of rigs, plenty of dumbbells and "regular" gym equipment to make sure those vanity muscles get their attention, awesome members, great community. Parking situation is a little wonky, but plentiful. Thoroughly enjoyed my WOD at Invoke. Good folk.
Shari Salaz: Did a drop in while passing through, and what a great bunch of amazing people. They were very welcoming and I really enjoyed the programming and coaching. Will definitely be back when passing through again!!
Christina Harkey: Joining crossfit invoke has changed my life. The coaches here are amazing and truly care about your well-being. I have gone to other crossfit facilities and felt ignored and insignificant because I wasn't at the level other crossfitters at the gym were at. Crossfit invoke is nothing like this. We are a community, a family, that genuinely care about one another. It's such an amazing feeling walking into the gym and seeing everyone's friendly faces. Both the coaches and crossfitters help push you through challenging workouts until you reach the finish line. I am someone who needs constant support, reassurance, and direction without being yelled at. Crossfit invoke coaches and community give you the support you need to complete the workouts and work on your personal fitness goals. A big shout out to Brandon who has helped me drop 14lbs in 3 months, help me stay on nutritional track, gain muscle, and tailor my "all or nothing" mindset that I have struggled with my whole life. If you are looking for a community that provides direction and guidance without judgement, look no further. Welcome to our gym family!
Christopher Bostic: I dropped in for the day and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Very clean box with the equipment you will need can’t wait to come back for another visit.
Caleb Graves: I see you lifting a few weights now. We can putOur elbows on that table top again if you want to redeem yourself.. 💪
Elizabeth Curlin: The best part of my day is stepping foot inside Invoke. The workouts, coaches and community are absolutely the best in Raleigh. Class times allow you to catch a sweat sesh no matter what your schedule may be. But the best class is always the Saturday morning partner WOD. The owners and coaches make everybody feel like they're a part of our crossfit family! Thanks Crossfit Invoke for being such a great gym!
Kristen Wall: Best programming and coaching staff in the Triangle! Friendly community and convenient classes. Highly recommend.
Bonnie Landaverdy: Great coaches and athletes. Super inclusive of people in all fitness levels. They take their time to teach you proper form and motivate a lot too.

Oak City CrossFit: what do users think?
Melissa Schwartz: Oak City Crossfit is amazing! They are not your average crossfit box, they are really some of the most professional and educated coaches I have ever met. If you're looking for a place that you wont be intimidate by crazy competitive people or over crowded class this is the place. Their nutrition program is one of the best! You can get customized meal plans and a personal nutrition to help you reach your goals. I highly recommend Oak Ciry Crossfit.
Conrad Lam Yuen: Great atmosphere and friendly members! Mike was very welcoming!
Mallori Morris: Amazing programming. Got in the best shape of my life here. Coach Mike really coaches and helps each member. Easy to forget you are in a group class; though they do offer personal training.
Bryan “Bear” Swinson: Positive:ProfessionalismGym is clean, has full bathroom/showers, and staff are friendly.
John Bell: I dropped in twice last week while visiting Raleigh for work. Mike made it really easy to schedule the drop-in. The gym is really clean, the members were very welcoming, and Mike coached me as if I was one of the gym's regulars. It was a really good experience as a visitor, and made me feel right at home. Thanks for helping me keep my CrossFit routine up while traveling OCCF!
Casey Portela: Great gym!! I’ve been attending Oak City CrossFit for several months now. There is a great sense of community, the coaches are awesome, it’s very clean, and classes are challenging but often fun. Its not at all intimidating. There is very much a health focus and a focus on using the right technique and preventing injuries. They come up with fun things to do outside the gym and also have some great seminars on movements and how to keep your body healthy. Definitely a gem in Raleigh!
Joe Mastrolia: Had an awesome drop-in session at Oak City this morning. Coach took care of us with a rousing warmup, some mobility work, skill session, and finally a WOD that made me question my life choices in all the right ways. Great community, great facility, and outstanding coaching. Just what I needed to start my day!
Claudette Mohar: When I moved to Raleigh in July, I dropped in at 5 different CrossFit gyms before deciding which one to join. After having done CrossFit for almost 8 years, I knew everything that I wanted in a box. Oak City CrossFit was the perfect choice for me. The owner and head coach is very knowledgeable, the programming is purposeful and effective, the community is fantastic and welcoming and the gym is well equipped and the cleanest one I have ever been in- all things that I appreciate! Also, there is more going on than just WODs. They have nutrition coaching, goal setting with personalized plans, there is active involvement in the community, and personal training with very flexible scheduling. I am very fortunate and happy to have Oak City CF as my new fitness home.
Adam Fitzhugh: I’ve been doing CrossFit for about 10 years and probably dropped in to 40 or so Crossfit gyms. This one is one of my favorites. Super clean, very inviting and great coaching. Highly recommend to anyone in the Raleigh area!
travis stutts: Dropped in while in town for business. Great community, coaches, owners, and facility! If you are looking for a box in the area I would highly recommend Oak City!
Lyndsey Lyman: Dropped in for a 6 am while visiting Raleigh for work. The group was very positive and welcoming, as was the coach. I really appreciated their hospitality and friendliness! Will definitely go back when I'm in town next year for work again. Also got to catch another great post-workout sunrise!
Irena Rindos: Great gym & even better community.
Heather Saunders: Coaches Paul and Paige run a very welcoming gym, open to all levels. I also appreciate the extra classes like yoga, since I've been injured and unable to participate in regular classes for a while. Great people at this gym make it a great community!
Jason Ostroski: I dropped in to Oak City Crossfit and was very happy with my experience. Paul, one of the owners, was very welcoming and the box was very well equipped. I really enjoyed the programming. Paul filled the entire hour with stretching/welcome, strength and metcon. I highly recommend Oak City if you are local or just dropping in for a workout when out of town.
Matt Howard: Fantastic box with a welcoming sense of community, small class size limits, and intelligent programming.

CrossFit Sua Sponte: what do users think?
Joao Pedro Dantas: I'm kinda suspect to say, but I think coach Jp it's handsome and hot
Billy Ji: I can't express enough gratitude to the gym for kickstarting my CF journey. From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special mention goes to Coach Steven, whose expertise has truly taken my athletic abilities to new heights, particularly in Olympic lifts, cardio, and strength training. I owe a huge thank you to Coach Steven, Brox, and Sophia for their amazing support. You guys have made a significant impact on my progress and I'm so grateful for all you've done.
Marcus McGovern: Will steal your money and ghost you when you try to get a refund for reasonable circumstances
Matthew Briel: Going to a new gym can be intimidating, especially a CrossFit gym! But from the moment my wife and I walked through the doors at Sua Sponte, we felt welcomed and included. The owner, John, came over and shook our hands, gave us some words of encouragement, and made us feel even more comfortable. All of the coaches are amazing! They know who the newbies are in each class and they take the time to make sure you fully understand each move. They seem to genuinely want you to enjoy your CrossFit experience and that makes a world of difference! Everyone we’ve met in the classes have been really nice as well and we’re thoroughly enjoying our journey to get stronger and healthier! Thanks John, Kanoa, Amanda, Ariana, Paige, Chad, and Steven!
Robert Herford: Dropped in on a Saturday morning. Awesome workout, everyone was super nice and had a great time. Coaching was great with an excellent warm up and constant motivation and energy.
Quincy Smith: Awesome box - the entire staff is super knowledgeable and the programming is always challenging - def made some gains this summer!
Alexis Gore: Although I typically work out at the Durham Sua Sponte, I love visiting Raleigh! We stay connected via WODify, social media, and joint hangouts. I couldn't ask for a better community, facility, programming, or coaching!
John Tomlinson: If you're reading online reviews of local gyms with the thought of giving crossfit a try, then look no further. I've been a member at this gym for 3 years now and my only regret is that I didn't join when it first opened. The quality in programming and staff here at Sua Sponte is bar none, there is no comparison. I have found this time and time again as I travel often for work, and have had the pleasure of dropping in at several other boxes. So if your looking for a box to drop in at, or considering giving crossfit a shot, then look no further. You're not going to find a better gym.
Jessica Costa: I started at Sua Sponte about two years ago with no experience with CrossFit, weightlifting or fitness in general. The coaches are amazing and take the time to help every member, whether a novice or seasoned athlete. The community is extremely friendly and welcoming. I look forward to my workout every day and am amazed at how much I enjoy working out - something I never would have said two years ago!
Barbara Gaunce: This place has something for everyone and all levels! As an almost 58 year old (and never a natural athlete) I am always made to feel at home and never judged. I have received top notch technical instruction and am always encouraged to do my personal best. Not only do the coaches excel at what they do, but the other members are great as well and it’s just a really fun place to go to!!!
Cody Upchurch: I've never done crossfit before entering this gym. I've lifted weights for years but have always heard negative comments about crossfit and the form that was used. I can say Sua Sponte is the exception. The trainers and very friendly and hands on. The atmosphere here is very motivating. Everyone has been really supportive and understanding of my fitness goals and overall newbie status. I'd recommend Sua Sponte to anyone who wants to get serious not just about their fitness but their athletic performance also.
Justin Jones: Finally ready to see what all the hype was about, I stopped by Sua Sponte one Saturday to take a look. John stopped what he was doing to sit down with me to explain the methodology of CrossFit and the approach that he and the other trainers take. That next Monday night I went for a trial work out and knew right away (well... once I caught my breath) that this was the place for me. All the trainers know this stuff cold and are great teachers to a newbie to the sport! Thanks guys!!
Michael Caiola: I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked through the door for the first time, but I'm extremely happy that I did. The trainers are amazing, the workouts are always different and very challenging. You're not allowed to have bad form, which is very refreshing. The owner and staff are super friendly and make you feel apart of the gym right from the very first day. I've never felt intimidated because I couldn't do what some of these athletes do, but they encourage me non the less. I would wholeheartedly recommend this gym to anyone looking to change things up and get seriously fit very quickly.. With that said, you get out of it what you put into it!
Daniel Loyola: My wife and I joined Sua Sponte last summer after relocating to Raleigh and we have not been disappointed. Incredible staff and coaches! Excellent programming! They cater to the experienced crossfitter as well as to those individuals who are curious about crossfit, either with or without athletic backgrounds. I could go on and on about how great this place is.
Jkwan Fogg: Really great community atmosphere. Great coaches and classes for all performance levels.
Sara Beland: Love this gym! Have been a member for almost 3 years now. Best programming, coaching and community around!
Bradley Alvey: Switched over from another gym looking for a place to work hard & de-stress. Sua has been the perfect place for me plus more. So inviting for a newbie to Crossfit. The coaches & members are amazing. We challenge & support each other & most importantly have fun!
Will Stover: A great gym with great coaches who are extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. Signing up should be an easy decision!
Malcolm Brown: As soon as I joined I was immediately welcomed into the community with open arms. Being someone who’d never spent much time in the gym, I wasn’t familiar with most of what was going on at first. Even still, I never felt out of place. The entire team is great, can’t wait to go back!
Morgen McVane: Sua Sponte is my home away from home! The coaches are top-notch and it feels like a family there.I love my Sua family!
Rachael Gaunce: Sua Sponte has been a great experience for me. The structure and purpose of the workouts each day make it easier for me to get to the gym and stay in shape. Every one of the coaches are knowledgable in what they are doing, which keeps your muscles/body safe in the intense workouts. Wouldn't change a thing!

Michael A Kremkau: Super clean. Very friendly. Excellent programming.
John Schwartz: Dropped in while traveling. Sparkly Clean and well organized box. Welcoming coach and class. Left exhausted and with some recommendations on where to eat. Felt very at home.
David Corey: Dropped in from out of town with a 9 am Saturday workout. Coach was great and explained all movements well for our friends and their first time being at a box. Great workout and great friendly atmosphere.
Janelle LaFrance: Friendly and welcoming members. Each one walked up and said hi to me on my drop in workout today. Coach Jules was very motivating in a positive way that oddly puts you at ease with the workout. Would definitely return if I ever visit Raleigh again.
Blake Conner: Positive:QualityGreat gym. Crossfit can be intimidating, but this is a very welcoming community suitable for all training and endurance levels.
Bryan Nikla: Great CrossFit gym. Very friendly staff and members, plenty of space and equipment. Good programming.
Ryan Gibson: Great crossfit community for athlete levels! Awesome coaching staff and great community. Highly recommend!!!
Clare Cady: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThis is a very special and inclusive community and a great box. The programming is for everyone from competitors, to beginners, to adaptive athletes, and everything in between. Also this is the best gym in the Triangle at handling COVID safety hands down.
Jules Mainor: This place is my second home. Extremely clean gym space with lots of room. Phenomenal coaching staff always prepared to give you the safest and most effective workout. Everyone is quite friendly and inviting. I would recommend this gym to athletes of all levels.
Bill Rand: Fantastic staff and huge box with plenty of equipment. Great athlete community that is very socially conscious.
Charlie H: While traveling for work I dropped into CrossFit Serve. I plan on dropping in tomorrow as well. The workout met my expectations and was great/challenging.The people exceeded my expectations and were welcoming and friendly. The owners communicated very quickly to make sure any questions that I had were answered. I would certainly drop in anytime I’m in town for work again.
Chris Suchoski: Great facility and coaching team, incredibly competitive yet thoughtfully adaptable programming, fantastic community. Would definitely recommend giving CF Serve a try!
Peng Yunhu: I have been with CF Serve since the beginning and the community is amazing on every aspect. Everybody is supportive, which is crucial for CrossFit. In this community, not only can you get fitness but also valuable friendships. Although I have moved out of NC, the community at Serve is one thing that I miss the most! If you want to try CrossFit, Serve is the gym to go to. You will definitely be amazed by the inclusive and supportive environment that is rare to find at other gyms.
Ishan Shah: Love the gym - level of exercise and quality of coaches are amazing. CrossFit has always been very close to me and Crossfit Serve are doing the right thing to keep it special. Highly recommended; not just for the physical fitness but also mental, spiritual and social ones. Plus they stick the the CDC guidelines which makes the whole environment safe for everyone.
Jesse King: Great gym and environment, welcoming environment and challenging programming for all levels of athlete. Love this place!
Lauren Janarella: If you’re looking for a fun community to get fit with, this is it! CF Serve is Inclusive, non-judgmental, and has amazing workouts thoughtfully crafted to keep folks safe and getting better every day. The emphasis on the accessory work that goes hand-in-hand with the metcon each day helps all athletes not only become stronger in every movement but helps reduce injury and keeps everyone healthy! All levels are welcome and the best part is there are always options to scale or modify a workout for fitness level, injuries or disabilities. 😄 After visiting gyms all over the country and world, Serve has some of the friendliest folks around and I’d recommend them to anyone who’s looking to get healthy and stay that way for life. The support offered and connections here are amazing!! Thanks CFS!
Jordan Ford: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe community at CrossFit Serve has something special that I have never experienced at other gyms. Classes are challenging, but fun (and have some solid music). The coaches and athletes are welcoming, and very knowledgeable about CrossFit.

Goliath Athletics: what do users think?
Koren Townsend: Great workouts and community!
Tomi Abiodun: Great people with a good program that I joined during my NC visit.Would def have loved to have a gear to take away
Tyler Diaz: I've been coaching at Crossfit Goliath for the past 2 years and I have to say, it's been an incredible experience. The community here is truly special - everyone is dedicated to improving their fitness and supporting each other along the way.As a coach, I've been impressed by the level of dedication and commitment that I see from our members every day. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out, our team of coaches is here to help you reach your goals and push yourself to new heights. One of the things that sets Crossfit Goliath apart from other gyms is the level of attention and support that our coaches provide. We take the time to get to know our members and understand their unique needs and goals. This allows us to provide customized coaching that helps each person reach their full potential.Overall, I'm incredibly proud to be a part of the Crossfit Goliath team. If you're looking for a gym that truly cares about your success and is dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals, this is the place to be!
Mason Robertson: I relocated to Raleigh, NC in 2022. Part of that move was finding a gym that matched my fitness goals. CrossFit Goliath has exceeded my expectations. From the coaching to the community, my time at Goliath has been nothing short of great. I also need to give a shout out to two coaches, Chet Wagner and Tyler Diaz. If you’re looking to push yourself to points that you otherwise wouldn’t, these two will do just that.
Nick Callahan: I came into Raleigh for the week to train for a new job. Crossfit Goliath was the 5th crossfit gym I contacted but unlike the others they had open gym hours all day. This box is excellent and has every piece of equipment you would need. Wes and Monica are both very nice people and went out of their way to help out a fellow vet! I highly recommend anyone in the raleigh area come here for crossfit!
Lisha Joseph: I had a wonderful experience at Crossfit the past two days I was in town.It began with me inquiring about a drop in. Monica was super helpful and encouraging throughout our interactions. On day 1, before I even stepped foot into the box, I was greeted by a fellow CFer. It made me feel so comfortable and welcomed! Donald was a great coach on and helped give me useful tips. On day 2, coach Wes helped me with my very first Crossfit Open workout! He was so helpful and encouraging and never rushed me when I asked a million questions! When I’m on the road, I always look for a CF box that has a great community culture and one that has coaches that take the time to help me (just a drop in) along in my fitness journey. I’m so grateful I found that and more here at Goliath! I will for sure be back when I’m in town again!
Devin Shmueli: I am in Raleigh for Thanksgiving and to see family. I live elsewhere and love my box and coaches. I did not want to lose momentum as I am early on in my CrossFit journey. Wes was really great when I felt things out by email and followed up with me when he saw I bought a five pack for my time here, and my first drop in was with Wes, too. So far, the facilities are amazing, Wes and other coaches scale things and, also, push you a lot. (As a drop in, it would be super easy to focus on members who join month to month and not visitors like me.) I got so much attention and learned new skills and attempted some, too. This will be my box away from home for sure. Locals: run, don't walk (unless you have a knee injury - there is a modification for that) to CrossFit Goliath. Starting out is scary but I can tell you, these coaches are really going to push you to at least try something new and challenge you to do better.
SH Min: 친절함다정함세심함꼭 다시 가고싶은좋은 4번의 드랍인
David Fleming: The coach/ owner was super friendly and spent time working with each athlete include a drop-in. The facilities were first class.
Cavemen Moving & Storage: Great Place to be a part of ! Awesome coaches, members, and environment for all levels of fitness training
Amber Bowden: I've been a member of CrossFit Goliath a little over 4 years now and coming to workout with this crew has become one of the best parts of my day. Here, it doesn't matter if you're working out for the very first time, working out to maintain overall general health and fitness, or aspiring to compete in CrossFit or other sports - everyone is working to be their best self. If your goal is to challenge yourself to do the work to grow mentally and physically, engage with owners who care about their members and welcome feedback, make a few friends who can't wait to see you in class and maybe grab a coffee after a Saturday morning workout, this is the gym for you.
Lloyd White: I’m 51 years old and I started CrossFit three years ago at CrossFit Goliath. Since day one I felt part of the CrossFit community and the family atmosphere that’s at the gym. In the three years since I’ve been there my 16 and 18-year-old daughters have also joined the gym, and they’ve been welcomed with open arms.I can’t say enough about the coaches, they take personal interest in everyone no matter what your fitness / skill level. In addition to the training you get from the coaches, you'll always be getting helpful advice and pointers from everyone else as well.LW
Josh Allen: Goliath literally changed my life. I started 4 years ago 110 pounds heavier, multiple injuries, in constant pain. I committed to change and haven’t looked back. At age 48, I’m stronger, and more fit than I’ve ever been in my life. The coaches are fantastic and the programming will challenge you - no matter what level of fitness you start with. The facility is spacious and clean, with only the best Rogue equipment. Come as you are… this is the encouraging, supportive community you’ve been searching for. Just show up, commit, and repeat. You’ll be glad you did.
Stuart Grimsley: Great gym and great people!
Alisa F: 10/10 would recommend Goliath to anyone dropping in or new to Crossfit. The owner (Marvin) and his coaches are all super welcoming, knowledgeable and FUN!
Andrew Bohn: Positive:Professionalism,QualityGoliath is a tight knit community of committed individuals. The owners Stephen and Marvin are highly knowledgeable and genuinely care about the success of everyone in the place. If CrossFit is your thing, this place is for you!
Drew Spears: I have been going here for over 2 years, and I can say this place has been like a 2nd home to me. Great group of supportive people and coaches who really mean a lot to each other. They have great coaching and plans for everyone who wants to be more active fit from beginners to advanced athletes. Personally, I went from "former high school/college athlete with a DAD BOD" to competitive Crossfit athlete placing highly at regional competitions thanks to these people. I have seen many people drastically improve their physical well being and health thanks to Goliath. In my 30's I am constantly setting new all-time fitness PRs for myself and it feels great!Cannot say enough good things about this place and the people. If you are looking for a place where you can challenge yourself and enjoy a great community, this is the place for anyone of any fitness level or age. Stop wasting your time and money at a generic "Globo Gym" and check out Goliath Athletics to get real results, meet some great supportive people, and improve your life.
Denise Pittenger: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityLove, LOVE working out here. It’s flexible, although you’d get the most out of a routine schedule. The coaches and community are very welcoming which has really helped me get accustomed to CrossFit which was very new to me several months ago!
Colvin Will Do It: Awesome gym! Great place and friendly staff!
James Bullard: Thoroughly enjoyed my morning with Coach John at CrossFit Goliath. For whatever reason, it seems like the universe wants me to improve my snatch technique, so when I drop in anywhere it seems like that's always on the docket.I received great correction and new information on how to improve my olympic lifting, did a thorough and varied warm-up and post-WOD stretch, and got a SERIOUS sweat going during the workout.Great facility, excellent coaching, ample parking, awesome equipment. If you're looking for a great drop-in or a new home box, I'd recommend giving these guys a REALLY close look. They're awesome.
Steve Bretches: Great atmosphere, great coaching, and a welcoming spirit. Came in as a traveling drop in and felt right at home. I would highly recommend this gym local or drop in.
