Lau Louis: This is the worst Plato’s Closet I’ve been to. The two days I kept trying to sell my clothes were awful. There was one girl who had a very bad attitude because I didn’t know that they won’t accept clothes in trash bags. The second time I tried another girl took my information and everything and told me nothing about them not taking anymore clothes just for me to drive all the way there again after work thinking I was going to receive money but instead I got all my clothes back because a different girl said they had no more space. I just did not enjoy either experience here and communication definitely needs improvement.

Mary Margaret Barber: I stopped in to sell some clothes as I purged my closet for the spring and the folx working behind the counter were awesome! They bought many of my items and told me to feel free to bring more stuff on the future. They also let me know that they carry up to a 6X in the store now! As a woman who is a 14/16, L/XL, I am glad to hear that Plato’s are becoming more size inclusive.

The last thing for me was worn once 150 dollar shoes they wanted to give me 14 dollars for so I honestly had a pretty bad experience overall.

Stephanie Smith: I feel bad having to give one star, but it’s necessary. I brought an IKEA bag in full of clothes and was told the wait would be around 2 1/2 hours which I agreed to. This location is about 40 minutes from my home so I had to find ways to occupy my time out and about while they went through my stuff. When I finally went to pick up, I was told they couldn’t take a single item…probably 80 pieces or so of clothing and they claimed none of it was any good. Upon arriving home, I realized that they only looked through the very top pieces of clothing, everything underneath the top layer was still neatly rolled in the bag in the same manner I had placed them. I CANNOT believe they had me wait around for 2 1/2 hours and they didn’t even bother to look at 75% of what I brought in. This is absolutely a slap in the face to customers who spend a lot of time gathering items to bring in. This is a very poor business practice and frankly downright rude to the customer.I later took the same items to Clothes Mentor where they bought around 25 items and gave a payout of $80, all within 25 minutes.

Robin Gibbs: As I was shopping with my daughter, I started looking at a few sets however I noticed that they were priced separately so I asked one of the salesperson about that and she stated that some people want to buy just the top or just the bottom which I totally understand however it is no longer a set once you price them separately, they become individuals. The tickets say set. I proceeded to ask another customer who was looking at the sets and asked her what did this ticket mean to her, the response was sold together. It is very misleading to the customers when the tag says set but priced separately. Mgmt or owner needs to probably change the tickets to reflect individual price. I will check the other Plato Closets to see if this is a common practice.

Erin Graves: Went to the North Market drive location today, on a Saturday- closing is at 6. Lights turned out 45 min prior to closing and all shoppers were repeatedly told to check out at 5:20 by the manager so the staff could leave at exactly 6pm. We were then told that their "system resets" at exactly 6pm and that we wouldn't be able to buy what we have if we didnt leave early. Ive shopped in these stores daily for years now and have never heard this. Racks recently have been half empty, but I keep.coming back hoping it'll be better. Not sure what's going on at this location, but after being made to leave early I'm really hesitant to return. I do want to add that the employees are generally very nice- and there are other managers who are great. Hoping this was just an off day:)

Huge shoutout to Erin and Emily!I’d never bought anything from Madewell before, and I came in needing to add staples to my wardrobe like jeans and plain tees. They greeted me right away and asked if I needed help, I explained what I was looking for, and they were all over it. They brought me all kinds of different jeans in just my size and style, and then new pairs based on my feedback. They made great recommendations and gave me feedback on the try-ons (this was extremely helpful since I was shopping on my own).I ended up purchasing 3 pairs of jeans, 4 tops, and a pair of shoes. They were refreshingly attentive and friendly and truly made the shopping experience a pleasure.This was hands-down the best shopping experience I've had in a very long time, possibly ever. I'll still remember it a year from now. All thanks to Emily and Erin - the Tan France energy that I needed today! They truly went above and beyond to help me, and I want to come back just to get styling help from them again. I hope this feedback is shared with their manager so they can hear what awesome team members they have. Absolutely made my day.
