Dave Wachs: 5 stars because they deliver what they advertise. It's a very contemporary pastry shop with fancy pastries and coffees at the price point you should expect. I read other reviews whining about the price. If you want quantity, and to fill your gut, go to Bojangles. Prices are comparable, if not better than Starbuck's and the variety and QUALITY was much better. I'm not a sweets guy, so I enjoyed a cold brew (black) with a sausage biscuit. It was perfect! Great combo and interpretation of one of my favorite comfort foods with a decent coffee. Biscuit was crunchy on the outside, warm and delicious on the inside. Gravy was inside the biscuit and the flavors were amazing! Well done!Service was good & friendly, we were there at opening, not incredibly busy yet. Unique signage on the restrooms--Even though I do not have a mustache I was able to figure out which bathroom to use. If in the area again, I would try another of the savory options, like the ham and cheese croissant.
Joe Joplin: This bakery has a great selection of crossiants and other delicious treats. We were staying in downtown Raleigh and walked over for breakfast. If Iknew they were closed on Sunday, I would have bought more. I highly recommend this place.

Cuando fui adelante para pagar, le dimos efectivo la primera ves y mi amiga estaba preguntándole algo cuando Nancy la estaba apurando a que tomara su cambio, con actitud HORRIBLE. Y nunca le contesto la pregunta a mi amiga. Después de esta experiencia hablé con el manager, Jonathan, sobre esto, y igual tenía un actitud horrible. El nunca pidió disculpas por el actitud de su empleada. Sin embargo el nos hablaba como si fuéramos tontas por llamar y decir algo de SU EMPLEADA. Cuando le dije que la cajera es la cara de su negocio, el básicamente me callo y me dijo que no eso no era cierto. El actitud de los empleados tiene mucho que ver con su compañía! Por esta experiencia yo no vuelo a regresar a esta panadería. Y voy a recomendar a mi gente que no vayan también. Desafortunadamente……………HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!

My family and I were buying some of their great breads and we stumbled upon some cockroaches crawly freely on top of the breads. Never again will I come here, I’m truly disgusted with this experience. Once I told the cashier about this problem, she looked at my family and I and simply said “oh,” then later laughed when asked for a discount at least. Samantha Hernandez: Really bad service! I have ordered cake from here several times and it always disappoints. I ordered a cake expecting to pay the price they told me over the phone. I go in to pick up a cake that is bigger and more expensive when I had told them what I wanted. They try to charge me the price of the cake they made when I wanted something completely different. Just recently i ordered a big $90 cake in person to make sure they didn’t mess anything up. I go in to pick up the cake and I come to find out that they made two small round cakes. They continue to argue with me even though it’s not what I ordered. They expected me to pay that much money on something I didn’t ask for. I demanded a refund or money in return. They gave me $20 back and I kept both cakes. I still don’t think it’s right because it wasn’t my mistake.

Yo vivo retirada y anda locamente serca y pace "La Espiga".El pan y todo estaba duro si sabor y sabía ya rancio me compre también unos panes rellenos de queso y jalapeños de adentro estaban enlamados tenia mold. En punto es que tire todo pague $40 para la basura. De mi parte no vuelvo a este establecimiento por que aquí ya no cuidan la calidad del producto.

Vienes a veces y el pastel de tres leches es genial... y otras veces es el peor tres leches que hayas probado en tu vida con un pastel viejo/rancio que está blando y se desmorona por estar tanto tiempo en la leche. La panadería ubicada en Renaissance Park es mucho mejor, pero me queda mucho más lejos para conducir ahora.

Mariah McClendon: Clean, friendly environment. Bathroom was newly renovated, the pistachio flavored macaron was FANTASTIC!!!! It has tiny morsels of real pistachio that make it a party in your mouth. We also got a reg. Hot mocha and a hot white mocha - perfect balance of sweet and coffee.
Kay's Korner: This just might be the worse Macaron I’ve ever had! The macaron size was uneven and the filling was also poorly distributed. The texture of the Macaron was too soft. The crunch and chewy factors was missing. I would definitely not recommend - they shop itself is nice and has a great location. However the baking station was a mess. Macarons were sitting all over the counter uncovered. The entire experience was shocking. 0/10!

The website should be tweaked to be just a tad bit more intuitive when making shipping orders. Local orders and pickup have been perfect every time.

Absolutely horrendous - and it was a series of pastries for my daughters birthday no less. Turned my afternoon into a food poisoning nightmare!! They offered to replace it and I REFUSED - I don’t need any other moldy gross food in my child’s stomach.
Michelle Allende: Went here as we felt nostalgic missing our Columbian bakery in NY. Had the Columbian empanada, very good. The owner was very nice and even gave me a card to order cakes etc. She asked me to come back sometime for coffee, very sweet 😊 We will definitely return.

Josh b: Saw the amazing reviews and wanted to see if they would make a gender reveal cake. A woman answered the phone and said hello. I said good morning and asked if she made gender reveal cakes. Without a response she hung up the phone on me. I called back again because maybe she didn’t mean to but I was wrong.. phone was answered then hung up again. If you couldn’t make a gender reveal cake you could have just answered and said sorry I can’t or don’t have the open slot to make it. No need to be rude.

Jaime Salazar: Alguien nos recomendó este lugar el cual vendían pan Colombiano, llamamos para ordenar una docena, dijeron que tardaría una hora, pasada esta llegamos a recogerlo y nos dijeron que tardarían una hora más, por lo cual después de esperar por dos horas lo recogimos pero tristemente al probarlo no lo pudimos comer, nada que ver con pan colombiano, ni el sabor, ni la textura, totalmente un sabor feo, a lo cual tuvimos que regresarlo, cuando lo regrese la seńorita que lo resibio no sabía a quien echarle la culpa, por favor si van a vender pan o comida de otro país por FAVOR aprendan a hacerlo ya que de esta forma pierden la clientela y es imposible recomendar este lugar a alguie más, Gracias

If I could rate it less than 1 star I would.Ordené un pastel, enseñando la foto y pregunté si podían hacer el diseño o algo parecido, ellos dijeron que sí.NO me dijeron que NO sabían hacer algo parecido, además de que la chica que atendió dijo que no tenían molde e hicieron un cake más grande y por eso tenía que pagar más.La chica que atiende tiene F en customer service.No pueden esperar al día del evento a entregar un cake que claramente NO sabían hacer. Honestidad ante todo.Mal servicio y mal diseño. Yo no fui a buscar un cake gratis, yo pagué por un servicio. Así no se trata a los clientes. De todos modos, me devolvieron el dinero pero, me quedé con la mala experiencia.

Someone I know was "banned" from coming back to the shop after providing private feedback that was *asked for* after completing the purchase.
Sarah Crump: I understand that this is a local business that strives to produce fresh, high-quality baked goods. However, sadly, every time I have popped into their location on University Drive, they appear to be sold out of nearly all (or all) of the baked goods. They have a good variety of coffee beverages (though they are slightly pricey for what you get) and the customer service is decent. I just don't know that this is a shop that I would frequent in the future, because I can't anticipate if they'll have anything available.
