She said my hair was cut weird, I agree! And she had done it, I asked what look was she going for? I want my blond hair back! Is that so hard? Maybe because I was white, they over charged and butchered my hair....I have to live like this to it grows out, go at your own risk. Thankfully my card was not on file. Also they will charge you full price for a blowout just to trim your ends. So if you have curly hair just stick to your regular black beautician who knows how to price just for that service. Just hair trimming, I don’t require a full blowout. So if you are going to pay 100+ for something basic don’t go to this “diverse” salon who will charge you 160 for a blowout. I have never once left disappointed.On my last visit I decided to get a little wild and get some hair extensions. Let me tell you I have never had thick long hair. I have always had baby fine short thin hair and once I got those extensions in I felt like a whole new women. They not only added length but also volume and it was so nice to be able to experience that for once in my life. Sam did an awesome job installing them and the color matching to my hair color was flawless. It was an adjustment at first getting used to them at first going from short thin hair to long locks but after a few days it felt natural. The maintenance with them is also super simple and the Swan method that Leda has created makes it easy to take care of your extensions without the snagging like some other extensions. If you see her then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about!!💜💜💜I’ve been coming to Noura, at Tone Hair Salon, for about 2 years for haircuts, trims mostly, as I had waist length black hair. I just started having Noura color my hair about 8 months ago when I needed a change. Prior to her coloring my hair, I was using box color. Let me just say WOW... I never knew my hair could look so good! Through multiple conversations before coloring my hair, she explained that because of using black box color for YEARS, she wasn’t sure how it would lift, and that it most definitely take multiple sessions to get to what I wanted. After doing a test strand, she confirmed what she already told me, that it would take time and patience. We came up with our hair goal plan. She also was upfront about money and what I was looking at monthly for root touch up, and when we had to notice up the balayage. Even though I already saw the prices on the website, which is very straightforward, with their starting prices- what’s included and not included so I already had an idea. I’ve also heard the other stylists being very upfront & honest with other clients about pricing realistic goals and how long things would take.Ultimately, I wanted a caramel balayage and to lighten up my roots a little so it was more of a dark brown, not black. She was very honest. She said we could begin lighting up the roots every month(my greys are coming in fast), but that I would see a difference between the roots and the original black color growing out(only truly noticeable in the sun), until we finally had all the growth covered with the new color, but would be a timely process, same as it would be getting to the caramel color I was looking for with the balayage. I trusted her 100% and basically told her to do what she thought was best!! Well, my hair looked GORGEOUS after the first session!!!😍🤩 I also wanted a different hair style and we ended up cutting off about 10”. It was a stunning transformation, I felt amazing and had such a change in my confidence!! Thank you, Noura!!! You truly are the BEST!!!!!!!I continue to see Noura every 4 weeks!! She is so sweet, welcoming, funny & so easy to talk to. I feel like I’ve known her forever and consider her a friend now!!! Everyone in the salon is friendly & welcoming. I explained exactly what I wanted which was very natural minimal highlights and I left the salon looking almost completely blonde. I paid 300 for something I didn’t want at all. I was too embarrassed and upset to say anything. I’ve been growing out my hair for 2 years to get back to a healthy to state to leave the salon with ugly damaged hair. My stylist was friendly but cut her hand with scissors and instead of wrapping her hand proceeded to do my hair getting blood on my neck and probably on my hair as well. I drove 3 hours to get to this salon. Never ever going back.

Lindsay Malsam: I just moved to the Raleigh area and found Tone Hair Salon. I booked my appointment online and made a mistake typing in my number. They were a little rude when I called to ask why my appointment got canceled via email. They told me they called me multiple times, and I didn't answer. I replied, strange I didn't get a call. "Well, we called you and never answered and left a message." Instead of asking to double-check my number to make sure we have it right, they were snotty and kept telling me I didn't answer. I finally asked can we double check the number? And that was the problem. So she rescheduled the appointment for the next day.Everything was fine with the rebooking at the time.I do not live close to the salon and had picked a time that worked for when I was able to get off work. The day of the appointment, only 45 min before I had to be there, I got a notification my appointment was moved up 15 min. I booked this appointment so I could leave right after work. With the change, I had to scramble to leave work earlier. Mind you, they had my correct number and could have texted to see if this was okay. Maybe they have fine print somewhere they can change the appointment as needed to fit them. I contacted my boss and got off early.One of the reasons I scheduled my haircut with them is online, it said we could have a 15-20 min consultation. Not sure this was the service they ended up rescheduling me for, but my hairstylist only said a couple of words to me.I sat down, and she asked what I wanted. I said a haircut but wanted to discuss dying my hair silver with purple. She didn't even ask for a photo to make sure I explained this right because I wanted to keep the top darker and go out to silver.I was informed that couldn't happen because I was too dark and went on to ask about my haircut. No other options were given about my hair color, or let's figure something out.She finished cutting my hair, and it turned out nice but not worth the anxiety that they didn't want me there. I don't expect people to talk to me during my cuts, but no words were exchanged besides a couple things I told her. I never even received her name. Mind you, the person I booked online with was not the person I got. There might have been a language barrier, and I didn't realize my stylist didn't speak English. I went to the desk to pay, and the lady asked if I wanted to schedule my next cut. I said I wanted to get my hair dyed. She called the stylist back over, and the stylist said I wanted silver and couldn't be done.By this time, I was a little frustrated and asked if I could show a photo of what I wanted. I brought up a picture to show what I had in mind. I felt like a burden, too, even asking if I could show a photo. I just paid $100 + a 25% tip for the hair cut maybe 25% is too low? When I got the picture pulled up, she said she could do something similar but couldn't go that light. Question to hair people, can't you do multiple visits to get lighter? Maybe I'm wrong. No options were really given.Once she said she could do something similar. I said okay can we schedule this. They said yes. This was when I was informed they only could do mornings for hair color...I asked about Saturday or Sunday and was told no. Except you can go on their website and book for noon. Maybe my hair may take too long. Or maybe this stylist doesn't do noon appointments. No other stylist was offered as an option. I was informed I should take a day off.Personally felt like they didn't want me at their salon from the moment I accidentally typed my number incorrectly, or maybe they didn't want new clients.
