Michelle Hines: Finally found a gym that works for me. It’s close to my house, lots of work out times available and childcare. I was so intimidated to give it a try since I’m kinda an introvert and feel way out of shape. It took me years to finally get the courage to go. I’m so glad I did. The staff always remember my name and make me feel supported the whole time. Everyone there is supportive and kind. There are people all ages and body shapes. It’s exactly the atmosphere I was looking for. I’ve been going for 3 weeks and already seeing differences in my body. I have more energy and happier. I would definitely go if you’re debating it. I started with their free week trial and got hooked.

I had been steadily letting my fitness slide since my first child was born 10 years ago, and I didn’t think this would really be the place for me, but it was close to home so I decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad I did. On my first day, they greeted me, and set me up with a buddy so I wouldn’t be lost and confused during the workout. The trainers are incredible, and somehow really do live up the their promise of providing personal training in a group setting. As a mom with a full time job out of the home, almost everything I do is in service of someone else, but my 6:30am workouts at Burn are just for me, and they have become one of my favorite parts of every day. Come try out a class. You won’t regret it.

Brie D: I’ve really enjoyed coming here. I started on a free 7 day trial. To be honest I think my favorite part about this gym is the community feel. I’ve been a member of other gyms before and the environments have not been as supportive as this one.**this will be a long review**It’s easy to sign up for a trial. I did it online although I am sure you can do the same by visiting your local gym. While on the trial I tried an evening class and morning class to see which would work better with my schedule as I transition going back to work. This location is very convenient. It’s 11 mins away from my home -so no excuse for missing class because it’s too far lol.Each workout is different. There is a weekly schedule posted on Sundays to let you know what the upcoming week will look like. Cardio days have been the toughest for me but I enjoy each workout. So far I go 6 days a week in the morning.Another thing I really enjoy is that there are modifications to EVERYTHING. The trainers are helpful and when you first start you get introduced to whoever is teaching the class. They always ask if there are any injuries they should know about which helps them to support you through the workout. Everyone is always encouraged to just do what you can and you’re reminded that you’re not in competition with anyone, just yourself.This past Saturday I did my first pop up camp which is free and open to the public. My sister and her friend came along. It was great to do a workout with someone I know. It was great to hear my sister say (after we finished) “wow I can’t believe my sister does this 6 days a week”. That made me feel good after starting a new fitness journey. I will say the pop up camp was like cardio day times 2. I plan on doing it again though because it was a good challenge.Lastly, I signed up for a membership. I signed a contract for 18 months. The membership included access to all the gyms, focus meetings, and free child care. This location has showers and a changing space. There are no lockers for your items. Instead there is a large open cubby area that’s in the workout space. I’m happy I made this decision. Hope this review helps anyone that is considering joining.

Karen Barnes: I have a chronic inflammatory disease brought on by stress that can make simple daily tasks draining and cause pain, fatigue, depression, etc. Have been to three different doctors and the various "support group" websites with little hep or relief from symptoms. Had a terrible flare in July. I had been working out at Burn since early June and decided to push myself and go, even though I was miserable. I went three times and my pain and inflammation was 10% of what it was. I had always loved the workouts, atmosphere and trainer, but truly--this supportive environment with personal coaching has quite literally kept me healthy. This location's trainers in particular are exceptional. Without them I would not have been able to stick with a workout plan. To say I am thankful for BBC-West Raleigh is an understatement.PS--I tried other workout places, OrangeTheory, etc. and this gives you the most "bang for your buck" with total body fitness. The workouts are much more challenging, and I saw results physically in 2-3 weeks.
Keri Clour: This place is amazing! The trainers are super knowledgeable and offer mods up or down depending on level of toughness you want. I started week 12 after PT/post acl tear and they helped me progress so much further than I thought I’d be now. Free childcare is great, too! The care givers are super nice and TO S if toys/activities for all ages. There’s also a huge window the kids can look out of and see their mommies working out! This place is 100% a life saver. Pushes me to reach daily goals I never thought I’d reach with workouts I never thought I could do...!!!!!

Kimberette McNeill: I don’t belong to the gym. I’m a neighbor who’s awakened by their loud music every morning. It’s very disturbing to be woke up by unwanted music an hour early than planned to, especially when my alarm clock has not even sounded. It’s hard to go back to sleep. I’ve talked to the manager, who promised to be good neighbors, but seemed to have forgotten. When I call them to ask them to turn the music down, I can’t get any answer, because they can’t even hear their own phone because of their loud music. My mom is an elderly lady whose not wanting to hear the loud music either Please be mindful of your neighbors, 5 am is too early to be playing loud music, and you have neighbors less than 200 feet away from you.
Lauren Prusik: The best gym! All of the trainers (and owner Emmitt) are incredible and keep you highly motivated with varying workouts every single camp. It’s become so much of a part of my daily routine that I’m not sure how I got through my days before without it! Even though it’s ‘corporate’ it has the small family business feel to it which I love. If you’re on the fence, try the 14 days free. You’ll love it!

Elizabeth Parent: My last name would have been under Parent, probably why you can't find me. I was there for a trial class last fall-ish. Here is where my experience wasn't the greatest.I've had two kids and went from 120lbs and fit to 210 lbs and very much not fit. So, I'm insecure. As your gym is primarily promoted towards women I would have assumed you would have been used or at least prepared for members that also fit my description. Not necessarily the case, in my experience. I recognize that my insecurity is my own issue. When I walked in, there were a bunch of women in a line for a computer. Tons of ladies going behind the "counter" I didn't know who worked there and who didn't. I had no idea who to ask for information on how to start a trial. I asked someone in line behind me (not sure if they worked there or not) they handed me a clipboard with some papers to fill out. I didn't know what the heck I was supposed to do with it after I was done. Ithink I brought it back to the front desk and was like "soooo, do I give this to one of you ladies or set it here??? Orr?" They took it and they said the class would start soon. Lol, I guess I had chose the worst Saturday to start going 🤣 it was like "total cardio reset" or something aka "you gonna die today" I modified a lot, but I have a bum hip and knee so 🤷 I actually really enjoyed the workout portion, sore for 3 days after 😂 but worth it. Aside from my complete confusion at the beginning everything else was great. The instructor was awesome and encouraging. I'm just going to put this out there, I want whatever coffee she drinks because she was READY.Oo! Also, when I was trying to determine which gym I wanted to go with, they have a company policy that states they can't share membership costs online. For someone who was super motivated to get back into the gym and was ready to sign up that day, but not knowing what to be prepared to pay before arriving - not a great policy... I wish I understood why that was a policy... I know several gyms won't share membership costs on their website and you have to inquire, but....I did inquire....

Monica O'Brien: I purchased a Living Social deal for BBC-HS. I started 4 months ago and now I am addicted. The results are amazing - I've lost 13 lbs, my blood sugar levels are under control and every 3-4 weeks I can see how much body fat I've lost and inches off my body. Seeing those numbers is key motivation for me - it means THIS works for me. I love that they have a schedule to fit anyone's needs (I am a 5am'er myself which is very hard to find). I highly enjoy the weekly motivational emails, the opportunity to connect with others - especially since you see the same folks in your class daily and the accountability it affords me. I'm pretty clumsy, couldn't do a push up or pull up when I first started and exercise is not my thing. But, I'm 40 now, no longer out of breath just climbing the stairs and I can do push ups and pull ups! BBC-HS IS a game changer. If you want results and you're willing to put in the effort - this is the place for you. You won't be disappointed.

I've been at Burn for well over a year now and am consistently working out 5 days per week. And, I'm certainly not bored but addicted! I can't say enough good things about the Burn workout!
Secretary MYAB: I absolutely love BBC!!! I purchased a Groupon at the urging of my friend Christa and I was hooked after the first workout! I had been going to my neighborhood gym and was getting bored. I love that the workouts are different every day and there is a lot of flexibility with respect to class times throughout the day. Our trainers (Emmitt, Chelsea and Megan) are AWESOME and so encouraging. I enjoy the friendships that I have made and love how everyone is so motivating and supportive - no matter your fitness level. The workouts are challenging but modifications are always provided if you need them. I love the energy at BBC and you will too!!!!

Breanna Fabbo: I had high hopes. I really did. What bothered me about this boot camp was the lack of instruction and supervision within this class. Some of these exercises were difficult even for young healthy people. I felt as though the instructor wasnt paying attention to the ability of the participants and really wasnt providing any instruction regarding safety or properly executing said exercises. I know it isnt a babysitting type class. However, more instruction and supervision wouldve been helpful for a newcomer. Just my opinion. It was a clean facility and everyone was friendly otherwise.

I’ve belonged to other gyms in the past, but Burn is different. The workouts never repeat, so there’s no getting bored. The trainers are really phenomenal at meeting you where you are on your fitness journey and encouraging you on toward whatever your goals may be. And the community is so supportive. It’s women empowering women (and some men, too), without a whiff of competition or one-up-man-ship. Such a special place!

My friend told me about Burn and I was super intimidated. Once I got up the courage (which took about 10 minutes of convincing myself), I purchased the Groupon and was on my way. One month of Burn and I was hooked. The trainers, Erin and Kristen, truly make these camps great for every level, age, ability, or limitation that walks through the door. In addition to classes, you get access to individual focus meetings, Burn nutrition, and support from your amazing fellow campers. I'm thankful to have found such a wonderful fitness community who celebrates every milestone accomplished.

Jenna Desrosiers: Since moving to North Carolina from Pennsylvania in August 2022, I wanted to get back to a good gym routine. I really love the workouts that Lindsay and the rest of trainers come up with. It's always different every week. I also love the camaraderie with the other members, the focus meetings, the quarterly goal check-in, child care that is provided, and the fun social outings they plan once a month. If you are looking for a gym, I can't recommend Burn Boot Camp enough!

Danielle Osgood: The ladies who run this gym are the absolute best and most encouraging people I've ever met. I walked in the doors nervous as I hadn't worked out in years and was wayyyy out of shape. They didn't bat an eye and immediately made me feel welcome. They are always providing modifications for exercises if you need it (which I do!). The other clientele is also supportive and welcoming. Definitely check this gym out! You won't be disappointed.
