Flying Feet Run Club: what do users think?
Jennilee Lloyd: Our 6 year old has always struggled with perseverance, self-confidence, and being quickly frustrated. We tried everything as parents to empower her with no success…until THIS!As excited as she was to “run for fun,” she went to the first practice and repeatedly gave up. Through the weeks, we encouraged her, Coach Sheila empowered her, and she started pushing herself during running club.In life, we started noticing her perseverance in everything (learning to read, meeting new friends, tree hugger courses, etc.). She started repeating the mantra “strong, brave, mighty, fierce,” breathing during difficult situations, and reminding herself, “I can do this!”8 weeks later, she completed her final race of 1/2 mile on her own, taking short walking breaks to catch her breath and continuing. She was the first one done with her 1/2 mile, only to grab my husband and I and continue to run a full mile!! The kid that started in Flying Feet is not the same kid that finished. We’ve already signed her up for the next session and she can’t wait!

Bright Horizons Clubhouse at West Cary: what do users think?
Bo Patil: The place is clean, nice, and looks great... but not all shiny things have great value.I was traveling for business and used this location as an emergency daycare for my kid."This child care center provides a combination of back-up care and full-service child care. It is open to the community as well as sponsoring client organizations. When space allows, children attending for a day of back-up care join classrooms with children who regularly attend. During “peak use” when many children are attending, the center has dedicated classrooms and caregivers for children who are just there for a day of back-up care. Our center is specially designed to help children feel safe and secure, and to ease their transition into their new environment. We welcome your child with our warm, welcoming facility, engaging opportunities for play and discovery, and experienced child care experts. Our teachers and caregivers are trained to ensure that you and your child receive individual attention, starting with a World Class Welcome in the morning, and ending with a summary of how your child spent his or her day." this is a description of this location…He is 3, and not speaking yet at the time. On the second day they told me that if he does not behave properly, I will be called for early pickup. On day 3 they called me before I even reached work to pick him up because he was throwing stuff and attempting to leave...Yes, he did all those things. You are not very good at what you do if you do not understand a 3-year-old kid’s behavior while adjusting to a new environment.Their incompetent staff and management disrupted my business trip. Luckily, people at work understood the situation. This location should not participate in this program at all. Also, the director of that establishment called me to discuss the situation and she developed some attitude during the conversation because I gave her some criticism. Not a good experience for my family.
Leyla Pin: My son has been attending Clubhouse’s summer camp for the past couple weeks and has done random drop in days throughout the year when Wake county schools are closed. We have had such a wonderful experience each time we’ve used the facility. The camp teachers come up with creative new activities for the school agers to do everyday. My son is on the shyer side and every morning the teachers help him feel comfortable and get him engaged in something fun. They also take the time to put in a number of photos of his day so I can see all the great things he’s doing. Our last camp experience at another facility was less than ideal, so once we came to Bright Horizons all of our worries disappeared because we knew our child was safe, cared for and in a clean and nurturing environment facility. In addition, the office staff has also been friendly and very helpful. Thank you Angela and Melissa for helping create a wonderful center for children!
Lisa McCorkle: My daughter thrived in the pre-K classroom at the Clubhouse. She had a great time with the teachers and came home talking about how much she enjoyed the books they read. They sparked a love of writing for her and she would come home wanting to practice writing her name and other words. The Clubhouse is a beautiful and clean building with well-equipped classrooms and stations for kids to play and learn in. The location is very convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food served is nutritious. The playground area is spacious and has nice equipment. Emails and app updates provide news and photos for parents so we can see what happened during the day and what is coming up.
Katie Webster: We have sent our kids to multiple Bright Horizons locations (because of career changes on our part), and we have been so impressed the Clubhouse. From the leadership through to the classroom teachers, everyone has been incredibly responsive, clearly dedicated to the students, and great at communicating what's happening. We've been really pleased at how the center is keeping children and staff as safe as possible during COVID while still maintaining a great variety of enriching activities for the kids.
David Clark: We began taking our kids to the Clubhouse after moving from out of state. Everyone there was extremely helpful and made the transition much easier than it would have been otherwise. The kids felt at home right away and still love it. The facility and staff are great, and we appreciate all that they do for our kids.
Jenny Siferd: I moved my 5 year old daughter to this program after having a not so great experience at another local preschool. She went from dreading going to school at the other place, to being excited and looking forward to going to BH. She went from not wanting to tell me anything about her day at the last place, to joyfully telling me everything that happened from the moment I pick her up at BH. I cannot believe the difference. I only wish I’d made the change sooner! The facility is amazing, her teacher Ms Brandy is so warm, patient and caring (my daughter regularly tells me unprompted that Ms Brandy is her favorite teacher ever ❤️), the Director Angela is so positive, friendly and welcoming- the whole staff is. They do such a great job incorporating learning with fun activities and really seem to understand the way to engage young children. I love love love this place and will be sending my other children here for sure.
Geneva Yourse: I love the teachers and the director. We go girl trackout camps every time!!
Lijoy Samuel: My son has been going to this place for almost three years during trackouts.. Its very well run and everyone working there is very nice. My son likes it there and has made many friends. It's very easy to schedule with them. They have also started offering lunch recently which works great for me. Highly recommend this place.
Julie Hudspeth: The staff is truly caring of our family. Our 3 year old loves going to school, and he is getting just the right amount of play, social, and educational opportunities.
Nicolle Tulve: Have used this facility on several occasions now because they are one of the few facilities in Wake County that accepts a foster care subsidy. Mind you, the family still has to pay because they don't offer any sort of discount, no matter what the circumstance. The front desk staff person never smiles, never greets, never provided me with the code to get in the door. She never spelled my name correctly, and couldn't get the billing right. Such a pleasant experience. The camp counselors seem OK. They don't appear to have any specialized training. They just seem to be folks that like working with children. The food options that are included are not always the healthiest. It just seems to me that if a family is going to be charged a lot of money, there should be more for the money. Families beware: there are lots of camp choices out there. I would suggest you check out others. We certainly will!
。Milky Milk。 。: My daughter loves this center. The staff is friendly, professional and overall very awesome.
ishita ghosh: My daughter has been going there for about a year now . This is a great facility with some great teachers and administrators . They help in the child's transition so much . Im so thankful to all of them . The center director is extremely helpful and accommodating . Their permanent teachers are great . Stability of few new teachers is an issue of late thats why 4 stars . Other than that we have a great experience here . They are much more flexible in their approach towards the parent's need as compared to a lot of well established schools in the area . I would highly recommend this center .
J. T. Esq.: My child was very happy here, and most of the teachers are totally awesome. We had a lot of trouble finding the right daycare and were thrilled to hear about Clubhouse. It is run very professionally with positive attitudes. The teachers are well educated and often have backgrounds working with special needs children. They helped with potty training and behavioral concerns. Very educational environment. I felt secure knowing that my child was having a good time and was safe during the day. There isn't much staff turnover either, which is, in my experience, unusual in the daycare business. Highly recommended!
Maria Stepanova: The place has been gradually worsening since the old director Robin left last year. There are still some great caring teachers (not all, some are substandard at best) but with poor leadership there's only so much one can do. Unlike a couple of years ago, the current teacher turn-over rate is horrible (e.g., across three preschool rooms with supposedly 6 teachers, at this moment there are only 4 permanently assigned, including 2 recent hires with NO prior experience and 1 not-so-recent who is indeed great but is about to leave soon). There's a great deal of moving kids between the rooms to meet the ratios, sometimes for long periods of time (not just early morning or late afternoon as you might expect) and without any warning for the parents, as if kids were books to be put on one shelf or the other for your convenience. The new hires are recent college grads who seem to be unable to work with kids other than super-perfect super-social, and, what's really disappointing because some of them may have a good potential, are encouraged to do so by the administration. So, if your kid is perfect and would thrive in any environment - it may work (that's why I give this place two stars, not one). If your kid needs to be cared for - the chances are slim, and, again, do not expect any cooperation from the management. Rather, be ready to receive continuous complaints like "I asked him/her to cooperate, and he/she said no, please do something" (so that after a few weeks I almost started to believe that taking "no" for an answer from a 3yo has become a new professional standard in early education). Be aware of compromised security - the entrance door code is never changed, and has one of those combinations that any security specialist would say is a big no-no. The entrance door is also unsupervised at times. So, a young child can easily sneak out of a classroom or a playground (none of the locks are child-proof!), and if that happens then instead of tons of apologies and immediate installation of proper locks you may get accusations or even suspension of your child (yet another new standard in childcare, isn't it?) and assurance that there is no way a proper supervision for your young preschooler can be provided. Really?! Hm, ok, every day you find out something new indeed. So, a dedicated bike area with plenty of bikes and scooters is great, and so are the on-site gym and the splash court. But any school is run by people, so horizons may be bright, but reality - it depends. Moved to an independently run facility and could not be happier.

Giggles Drop-In Child Care of Cary: what do users think?
hamilton watts (Ham): Drop off and pick up at this location is a breeze, I have never had a problem at Giggles and my daughter loves it there!
Danielle Cotten: Our family is forever grateful for the giggles staff in Cary! Each and everyone of them has a passion and care for the kids! Very easy to work with and affordable.
Emily Richardson: My boys are age 2 and 5 and love Giggles and always have a great time. We have been several times in the past few months since moving to the area.
Candace Williams: I picked my son up today and noticed he had a girl's pull up on and none of his pull-ups were used!! The excuse I received was they were busy so they just threw something on him because they couldn't find his things and they didn't think it was a big deal! Let's not forget we have to pull numbered baskets to place there things in so things like this DON'T HAPPEN! This is absolutely unexcusable! One, pull-ups are expensive so you don't pull from another's child's supply especially when he had his own, secondly what if my child was allergic to that brand of pull-ups and wipes used, thirdly it's for girls!!! I've had some previous concerns but this tops the cake for me! We will definitely be finding a true state regulated facility! These people have bit off more then they can chew!
Debra Achan: My 7 year old daughter just finished the Spring break camp! To say she had a blast is an understatement! The camp provides different daily activities and lunch. She was excited everyday to go on her new adventure! Best of all she came home happy and exhausted! We also participated in the summer camp last summer as we will again this year!! The camp counselors are attentive and amazing! Especially Ms. C!!!No better feeling knowing that your child is having a great time and under the care of the best Giggles team while you are a work!! Truly, Giggles, gives me peace of mind!!Thank You Team Giggles!!
Addy Rogers: We love Giggles! They are a life saver for us. We really were impressed by the Spring Break Camp for our 2 kids. Amazing and fun staff leading the camp and our kids have had so much fun every single day.
Chelsea Johnson: I’ve used giggles for a long time for my almost 7yo, and she always has a good time. It’s been great for teacher workdays and days out of school so I can still work. Unfortunately, our experiences have slowly been getting worse and worse, and today when I picked my daughter up I was extremely alarmed but what I saw. A small baby was being held by a child not even older than 5 years and crying, no adult near or in sight. The baby cried as another child grabbed its arm, trying to pull it away from the other child, basically playing tug of war while the baby cried. No adult intervened, and sadly didn’t even observe. It was extremely concerning. There was a 2:30 ratio of kids to adults, with one adult tied up manning their front desk while one adult was “watching” 30+ kids. It didn’t feel safe and the kids felt essentially totally unsupervised. For a kid my kids age, I would be less concerned, but for small children as a parent I’d feel very unsafe. We will no longer be going there after what I saw today.
Kaitlynd West: We absolutely have loved Giggles for the last 2 years!! It’s my daughter’s favorite incentive, and she LOVED looking forward to going! If she had good behavior at school, I’d send her off to Giggles for several hours. UNFORTUNATELY, Giggles no longer accommodates childcare needs for any more than 4 hours a day. Which means both my daughter and I are disappointed, as it was a great set-up. Apparently something with the state of NC, so I hope they are able to get it sorted and go back to the way it was
Jessy Rocks: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,Value
Inessa Bergeron: I dropped off my children there for only 3 hours and it was the worst experience ever for them. My children were bullied, physically and emotionally hurt, and the counselors couldn't care less. I could not believe it when my daughter showed me her bruised and swollen foot after I picked them up. There cussing going by other attendees, middle finger stuck at them, even threats. And the counselors did absolutely nothing about it!! Not only that, but the little babies don't get changed and get picked on by older kids. There were many kids who would pull their masks down and wear them under their chin, and they would be yelling and screaming while they were not masked. The food was awful. They don't even have chairs for the attendees, they had them sit on some kind of plastic boxes which hurt their bottoms. The toys are broken. Oh my gosh, I don't know how this place is still in business. Parents be aware!
Brittany Jones: We have been using giggles for our daughter for over six years now. She loves spending time there with friends. She comes home with new arts and crafts masterpieces all the time that the teachers work on with her and others. Their after school program is affordable and reliable, and gives me peace of mind since I can’t be there after school. They have been consistent throughout the years, and I would recommend their services to anyone looking for part time care for their children.
Brittany Keen: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueMy boys have been going to giggles over 2 years now!! The kids and staff our pretty much a part of our family now!!! Thank you for all that you do for us!! Love you all!!!!
Caitlin Roberts: Giggles has been a LIFESAVER!! We have a regular daycare we use but sometimes we have teacher workdays or my husband and I work half days and don’t want to make the drive to daycare for a short few hours…that’s where Giggles comes in. I love that it literally works as a “drop-in” daycare, so if you have last minute plans, mother-in-laws falls through, etc. you don’t have to explain anything to them-they’re always there ready. My son loves the atmosphere and leaves all played-out with a smile on his face. We always feel safe leaving him there. The staff is always super attentive and doesn’t mind my nervous mom calls to check in. Highly recommend!
Denisse Sinclair: My daughter had fun but I didn't have a good vibe from one of the "teachers". I don't think she has the patience that requires to be in charge of kids. I heard her yell loud in a rude manner to a few kids that were trying to put their toys down the slide. I understand it's not safe to do that but even if you have to be louder so that kids can hear you sometimes, you can do it in a different way and she wasn't too far from them anyway. I'm sure she could've handled that in a different way. This is my personal opinion. I think kids should be treated with respect.
Patrick Gillespie: Our son LOVES Giggles! He attends both the Cary and Raleigh location and has so many friends between the other children and even the counselors. Some days we drop him off and he is greeted by a group of children chanting his name waiting for him and others he wants to cling to the counselors who are all happy to hold him and play with him. When we pick him up in the afternoons he is always exhausted from playing and falls asleep in the car before we make it home. The manager Jill is awesome and has always been happy to answer any of our questions and help us whenever we needed it. Thanks Giggles!
Tyler Musslewhite: Positive:Professionalism,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueFun, safe, affordable child care! My preschooler was a regular attendee here for over a year and loved it! Made lots of friends and developed great relationships with the staff. Highly recommend, especially the membership packages!
umran: Critical:Professionalism,QualityThey don’t care and watch kids what’s going with kids. My son and daughter was crying when I picked them up. When I asked them somebody hit them. The. I asked the the person who is in charge with kids she said she doesn’t know. So sad that place is still exist.
Taylor Coletta: My three boys have been going to Giggles semi-regularly for years now. They ask me at least weekly when they can go again. The fact that they love it so much gives this mom piece of mind in leaving them there. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and they always make sure the kids are well taken care of. It’s affordable and a lifesaver sometimes for those impromptu work meetings that should’ve been an email or if I just really need a few hours to myself as a single mom. Overall, we love Giggles!
Michelle Morris: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueAn Amazing child care , very patient and kind hearted ! I definitely would recommend to others !
Teslar: Positive:Quality,ReliabilityThese guys are the best!
Morgan Long: They always take great care of our son!

Cranfield Academy - Cary: what do users think?
Addi Hofmann: Staffing is a major concern. Like many others, this facility is very short staffed. They lost a director over a year ago and never filled the position. The assistant director left several months ago and the position has not been filled. The kids/small toddlers are sent back and forth between classrooms to meet minimum ratios throughout the day. Rooms that used to be staffed with 2 people are down to 1 and there is no staff to buffer when someone leaves. This place has been a good home for us (2 kids) for a couple of years and has overall been great fit with caring teachers/staff! I will happily update this review if staffing improves but want others seeking childcare to be informed.**update: 5/9/23: they have hired a director but still have not replaced the assistant director. I’m not sure if there is a plan to. Staffing is still not good and the kids get shuffled around between the classrooms to try to meet ratios throughout the day.
Krystal Hemmingway: My son started at Cranfield in December of 2022 and it has been one of the worst experiences for the both of us. The staff starting with the teachers all the way up into the corporate office are completely unorganized and lack the communication skills necessary to run a daycare facility properly. I would not recommend anyone leave their child in this schools hands.
Ashley Wolber: The staff is so caring and friendly. They really take the time to address each child’s individual needs.
Tara Mylenski: We’ve been happy here, but have some reservations after Cranfield took over a few months ago. Tuition increased exponentially and quality decreased. They are extremely understaffed (current staff is great but overworked and you can feel their stress). The teachers and children are shuffled around way too much, which leads to a feeling of uneasiness for the kids and the parents. I am optimistic things will improve, but I would not enroll my child until number of staff increases greatly and they go back to the original curriculum. The merger comes with a Montessori curriculum, which I did not agree to when I signed up. I’m a fan of Montessori but not at the younger ages of daycare.
D Jasper: My son has been at this Kids R Kids location for the last 4 years. He is getting ready to graduate from their private kindergarten next week. I can't say enough good things about this daycare/school and all of the staff members. They care about the kids and it shows. I feel like KRK has been a home away from home for my son.On an educational note, my son is off the charts in reading and math. Much of this is due to KRK starting their children off on the Letterland program (What Wake county schools use to help teach reading) at such a young age.Thank you to everyone at Kids R Kids for loving all of these children like they are your own. From my mama heart, I appreciate you more than you know.
Kendalton Draper: Absolutely amazing school. My daughter has been there since she was an infant. I have no complaints and my child loves it there. The teachers and staff are amazing and very communicative about what's going on. My child has learned so much from being there. They also offer extra activities like soccer and dance. This is 100% the best choice in daycares I couldnt ask for better people to teach and help my child grow and be prepared for elementary school.
Danielle Quinn: Our daughter was struggling with remote learning at the start of her kindergarten year (she had never attended full time school), so we began looking for private schools so she could attend in-person. KRK Cary were responsive and accommodated a virtual walkthrough so we could meet the teachers and students. We talked about the curriculum and knew it was a great fit, but we never could have imagined how amazing this place would be for our daughter. In a few short months, she went from a reluctant learner with anxiety about school (since the virtual set up went so poorly), to a thriving student who can’t wait to go each day. We know this is largely due to the teacher, Ms. Michelle, who is so in-tune and dedicated to her students. We get consistent, personalized updates about the day and her progress so we can have meaningful conversations with our daughter when she comes home and can continue building on what she’s been mastering at school. It feels like we have an actual support system to ensure our daughter’s success - what more could a parent ask for?
Laura Sokash: KRK did a great job making our children feel welcome as we transitioned into the school in the middle of the covid-19 crazy. The private kindergarten was created this year. The curriculum is organized, educational, and character focused. It is tailored to meet each child where they are developmentally. The school and teachers are advocates for the children and have great communication with the parents. Our child is happy and I can't imagine a better kindergarten experience.
Michelle Studios: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessMy children went to kids or kids almost 20 years ago and they still remember the names of the teachers that were there. Some of those teachers are still there. That says something very special
Christopher Shumake: Walked in on the 4 year old to find a mid-morning game of "jesus loves you," and we followed up to learn about a "blessing song" that starts "god we thank you."Walked in on the 2 year old to find, repeatedly, the class gathered and watching a tablet together. Office denied any use of tablets.Nothing in the center documentation discusses religion, no one offered information on religiously-themed content before we joined, camera feeds are silent w/out microphones, and indoctrinating my children is unacceptable.
Diane Johnson: My older daughter has gone here for summer camp for the last 2 years, which has been a great experience. This year, my younger daughter had a 1 month gap in care before starting kindergarten, and so we put her in the Pre-K class. It was really amazing. The wonderful teachers (Dovile and Sara) managed to spark her curiosity and get her excited about kindergarten, which she had been anxious about. She came home wanting to practice writing letters for the first time! And she was really happy every day at pick up, talking about her great day. I only wish we had taken her to kids r kids earlier! One final comment: both of my kids (even my super picky eater) LOVED the food. Thanks Ms Vee!
Briarly Reed: Kids R Kids is a fantastic early education center! They live up to their motto of hugging first and then teaching. My girl has been well loved and cared for by her "family" of teachers and admin from age 2 until now at age 4. We had hoped to graduate from the kindergarten prep here, but my change in job locations has required us to make a move of convenience. We are so sad to leave you all!! If you are the parent of a prospective student, please know your children will be loved, respected, inspired, and they will learn lessons of character and friendship building far beyond just phonics and basics of mathematics. We will miss those transparent walls bursting with the colors of art and creativity, that open, warm environment. Thank you, Kids R Kids, for 3 wonderful years of hugging, loving, and genuinely caring for our girl!
Wendy Xu: They are not nice for my child.
Amanda Draper: Kids R Kids Cary has been amazing! We love all of the teachers and directors. Wouldn't send my baby girl anywhere else!
Qiyi Yang: 5-star child development center, it’s not just daycare, it’s school that your child will learn and progress every day. Letterland is taught regularly to make your child get a smooth transition when they go to elementary school. Stuff and room teach are very nice and full of love.
Kerri Krasney: Kids R Kids was the best possible choice when caring for my little ones. My oldest was nurtured through a speech delay and is now talking and reading away in kindergarten, none of which could have been possible without the devoted team at KRK. Aside from knowing my kids were getting the best education here, I always trusted they were safe and loved, and that knowledge was absolutely invaluable. Thank you Kids R Kids for being a home away from home for my precious little ones!
Jodi Flora: Loved KRK so much! All the teachers and directors were wonderful.
Ashley Waples: We have really enjoyed the extracurricular activities at Kids R Kids.
Shannon May: Love Love Love this Academy! My oldest was more than ready for Kindergarten which was a blessing because he was able to acclimate wonderful to starting school! Also the teachers care so much for each child not just educationally but teach them in many different facets of life I.e. manners and picking up after themselves.
Elizabeth Hall: Our daughter has been at Kids R Kids for 3 yrs now and we could not be happier. She loves her time there. There are always hugs and love to give.Such a great place!
Vanessa: We've been with KRK Cary for about a year now and we have been very happy with our experience. Our daughter is 3 and has gone from knowing most of her alphabet and numbers when she started to now being able to read basic BOB books and do simple addition. The teachers are wonderful and I like that there is little turnover in both the teachers and the students.
