In addition to a remarkable assortment of baked and steamed pastries, Asian Market Bakery also offers boba teas and cakes made to order. Customer service is typically brusque and woefully indifferent, but as the number of faithful clientele attests, who cares about bad service when the Chinese buns are good?

I can't speak for cakes and the like as I haven't had any, but the pastries are phenomenal. Definitely worth a try!

Ben Jacobs: I went in hoping to try the chocolate mousse cake that was on the website, but they said they didn’t carry it any longer. So, I decided to try the chocolate cloud cake. It was nicely decorated. However, when I brought it to the party everyone thought it was mediocre. The frosting was ok, but the cake itself tasted like dry, bland bread. It was overpriced at $40 as well. Maybe other items are better here, but I don’t recommend the cakes.

I usually get a blueberry yogurt cake or mango cloud cake but this visit they didn't have. The shelves used to be stocked with beautiful cakes and pastries but not now. There were only 2 confetti cakes . I purchased one of the small cakes for 32.00. it was dry and disgusting!! It supposedly had a lemon buttercream icing but there was no taste of that and to make it worse the cake tastes like grease and plastic. It was absolutely disgusting...like disturbingly disgusting. It was my fault for trying something new. It’s kinda like the insomnia cookies of cinnamon rolls, but better.Lots of unique varieties of cinnamon roll delicacies that each have their own special taste/twist. Got the crème brûlée roll with raspberry jam and it was incredibly savory!!If you have that intense craving of sugary sweets and love cinnamon rolls, this place is perfect. They also have really good cookie dough options.
Joy Unspeakable Joy in 2019: These cinnamon buns are so unbelievably good. When I asked if they have any dairy free options (allergies) and she said everything is vegan, I nearly passed out. I go like three times a week for a roll with caramel frosting. My name is Joy, and I am a Cinnaholic.

The cream cheese icing is terrible and tastes like confectionery sugar dissolved in water. The cookie dough was surprisingly good, but again, the cream cheese icing was not edible, and we ended up throwing away two of the items we purchased. I thought we should at least post our experience here to help balance some of the reviews, which seem overly positive. I am giving two stars instead of one since the cookie dough was somehow edible.

I was told you don’t brew coffee and only had cans available. I asked her did she not make fresh coffee and she confirm she doesn’t. However, when I pointed to the sign she decided to say she don’t have any. Safe to say I won’t be back.
ne zee: We were excited about coming into this cinnamon mecca. Display was lovely and enticing. No other customers but the 2 of us throughout this process. There was a front person and a person prepping product. The exchange with the front person was so deflating. She could not talk about the product and had to direct the 3 questions we had about product to food prep person. This would have been fine as perhaps front person was new to the job, but food prep person was also barely responsive. While monosyllabic to us, they were animated when talking to each other. As a small business owner, I would be greatly disappointed to see this kind of customer-facing attitude in my store. This is not somewhere we will come to again.

Rebekah Hunter: Intentionally stopped by the booth at an event downtown today because I wanted to check this bakery out. I never made it to actually sample any goods because the man at the booth was one of the most rude humans I have ever met. All I did was ask what made a German bakery unique and you would have thought I spit in his face. I even tried to smooth it over and say, “ how interesting” to his initial rude response which only led to a decline in the conversion. Needless to say, I won’t make the effort to visit again.

zozo H: Cute, clean store with friendly staff and a variety of desserts to choose from. We settled on a carrot cake and variety cupcakes. The carrot cake was one of the best I’ve tried in North Carolina so far. It had a cream cheese frosting, but wasn’t overpowering. The cake was perfectly spiced and had carrot shavings in it. The cupcakes were delicious as well. I would highly recommend this bakery.
Mara Price: Our experience with this bakery was wonderful! I wanted a heart-shaped cake with a simple, custom design for my wedding shower. It was less than a month away, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get a cake in time. But this bakery really came through. We got chocolate cake with strawberry mousse and it was DELICIOUS. And the design, pastel orange with darker orange piping and hearts and our names in a beautiful script, was perfect. It was my dream cake, and everyone loved it! The customer service was also top notch. I will definitely be ordering from Blue Moon again.
CM WH: This is my go-to bakery! Every cake I’ve ordered from this bakery turns out beautiful and delicious! The staff is friendly and efficient and the prices for specialty cakes are reasonable! I’ve appreciated how I can call and order a cake just a few days before an event without a problem. I no longer live in Cary, but farther away and still will drive to OIABM for a celebration cake because I trust the quality of their products.

They were so nice and accommodating throughout the entire process, from vision to execution to delivery at our wedding venue. We showed them photos of what we were thinking and they pulled it off wonderfully. I wish I still had the original inspiration photo we showed. You can't see it in the photos but there's a lovely gold stripe on the side of our cake, too. We would definitely recommend their wedding cake services and truly can't thank them enough!
