Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen: what do users think?
Jim Ligotti: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Lucas Simoes: Great food. Or server was perfect, enough attention yet enough attending. Food was delicious. Plentiful. Definitely going back
Andy G: I've been a Lucky 32 customer since the 1990s. My date & I decided to dine at L32 in Cary & afterwards watch the July 4th fireworks. Everything, & I mean everything, at the Cary Lucky 32 was either bad or mediocre. I began with the Strawberry Mule with double vodka. It was served in a small 5-oz rocks glass with a lot of ice ($17.50).Next, Fried Green Tomatoes, heavily battered, deep fried, & served with a clashing sweet sauce. Neither of us could taste the deeply-hidden green tomato slices. Neither my date nor I liked it, but ate some of it because we were hungry. We were seated beside a very noisy 6-top; everyone at the table laughed & talked loudly enough to be heard throughout the place. We asked & were moved about 30' away, still wasn't far enough but we lived with it.Entrees: I got the crab cakes ($29) with green beans & grits. The crab cakes & beans were served stone cold, no detectable warmth. My date got the black bean cakes, barely warm & were flavorless compared to what I'd previously had over the years. I sent the crab cakes back, didn't re-order because my date & I would've been dining separately, and by that time, I was disgusted & ready for our L32 experience to end.A manager came out & inquired of the problem. I explained, so she took the crab cakes off the bill and offered a comp dessert (Mix Berry Rhubarb Crumble) to go.When I got home, I found the comp dessert was uncooked & disassembled in 3 different containers: berry compote, crumble mixture, and melted ice cream.I put myself through college waiting tables at 3 high-end restaurants. Every restaurant trained that it's ALWAYS a waiter's responsibility to pick up the cooked food immediately & deliver it still hot--a big fail. I left ~ an undeserved 17% tip to the very sweet waitress. I will never dine there again. It's really gone downhill over the years, in every way.I do not recommend this restaurant. High prices / low quality & quantity.
Cedita Graves: Great ambience and service - however the food was just meh and served too quickly, as if it was prepackaged - fried chicken was not pan fried and had too much crust - the string beans were tastelessFood: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Brooke Rawls: It was great and accommodating for my mil 80th bday. We used to go here about every other week for about 10yrs. Haven't been back since COVID-19 the menu is smaller and the fried chicken had no flavor but they comped it for us.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fried Green Tomatoes, Cornmeal Crusted Catfish …More
Simeon Snow: Probably the best restaurant we've been to all year and we've been to a lot so far. Service was impeccable from the moment we walked in. Food was incredibly diverse and fresh. Lots of different flavor pallets to choose from. The cornbread and biscuits were full, flavorful, and fluffy. My breakfast plate (Southern Delight) was great temperature, flavor, seasoning, and texture. Ambiance was semi formal yet incredibly comfortable. Music volume was just right for giving privacy without impeding on conversation (I don't know why this balance is so hard for places these days). Parm truffle fries were amazing. My spouse loved their avocado toast. Great experience all around.
Kevin Seitz: Haven't been back to Lucky32 in a few years and decided to go for our anniversary. The waiter we started with just disappeared, and then the food came out. The chicken wasn't even cooked all the way through. I showed the second waiter who came by and so he took it back and the manager brought back the new one. She asked, is this one done to your liking and wanted me to cut it and take a bite. I wanted to say, yes this one is cooked. No sorry or apology or anything. She just disappeared like the waiter. The second waiter never came back until I stopped him. Bummed that it changed or maybe the service changed. Fried green zucchini was amazing. The only consistent thing.
John Hall: Food was outstanding.
Jazzy Crawn: My family and I went there a few weeks back and had Frank as our waiter, I do have to say he provided the best service ever!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Jambalaya L32 Style …More

Cathy Martin: I am disappointed since food is always good. On Sunday, I ordered the black bean cakes w side salad and Arnold palmer tea. The black bean cakes and green beans were overcooked. Our lovely waitress did put on order ticket that I did not want the sides it comes with (grits, corn, and sour cream), however the cook staff ignored that. The 6 Oz glass of ice w tea for $3 is ridiculous. Eating out has become overpriced. Sorry to say Lucky 32 has been a staple in Cary but I won't be going anymore.
Charles Fleming: The food was good and the service was excellent.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Gwendela “Gwen” McCorkle: What happened to the hours you used to be open. You are literally only open 5 to 8:30 on most days? How do you make enough to even stay open? Your food is great, so is the wait staff, but your hours are very restrictive. Hope the hours get better in the near future, so everyone can enjoy the restaurant.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Scratch Kitchen & Taproom: what do users think?
Ben Taels: A good range of delicious choices for both adults and kids. The toy they give to kids is a good change from crayons and my kids love making shapes or spelling out their names with them. The French toast is great (one of my kids calls this place just "The French Toast Restaurant"), but everything I have tried on the menu has been lovely. If you are going for brunch on a weekend get there before open otherwise you may have a bit of a wait.
Tiffany B: This was our first time visited Scratch. Taylor C was our sever and she was so kind, nice, informative, & hardworking! We got the bone-in pork chop dinner with Brussels instead of the collards. Everything was cooked to perfection ! The drinks were really good and appeared to be a long pour as well - which is always nice. We will absolutely be back, this reminded me of my grandmothers southern cooking.
Ryan A: Been to both Scratch in cary & apex and they are always top notch! Food is always wonderful!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Dustin “CrapbagMcgee” Martin: Highly recommend the green tomato stack. And the summer toast is amazing!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Barbara-Jo Thompson: Friends and family were visiting from out of town and I was so excited to share the experience and food of Scratch.Unfortunately, that did not occur. We waited for over 30 minutes and eventually had to eat someplace else.My friend arrived first and asked for a table. It was explained that they were waiting for a party of 18 and we would have a long wait. For clarity, we inquired if we could make a reservation. We were told we could not. Scratch does not take reservations. We asked if we could call ahead. They explains no, they can’t seat us until our entire party arrived. Our party of 7 (with disable seniors) stood for over 30 minutes. Yet they continued to hold tables for 18 who still had not arrived. The food at this place is fantastic. But they don’t take reservations. You can’t call head and you can’t ask a friend to arrive early to hold a table. If you have a group larger than 3-4 this isn’t the best place for you.
Chasingfades: Very good spot. I underestimated how good the food would beFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Timothy Rhine: First time at the Cary location. We had a large group, 8 adults and two children. Our server was amazing! Of course the food was on point as in Scratch Kitchen fashion.Get the Crab Rangoon app before it's gone! Thanks for taking good care of us tonight and making our family gathering special!Wheelchair accessibility: Scooter access in and out was easy.
Jessica Jackson: It’s like Southern, Asian fusion twist on everything and it does not disappoint! Highly recommend the bowls and the jammin burger! Heads up that it can get a bit rowdy as far as the noise level and limited parking, but the service is great.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Burger …More
Dylan Jenkins: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Crispy Chicken SandwichMore
Rachel Ip: We used to be a frequent customer. They have great cocktails and are kid friendly.Unfortunately, their food has gone down hill. The chicken tenderloins were burnt, I scraped off a plate full of char before giving it to my son. They topped the truffle fries with yellow and black cilantro. How as a chef you can serve that to a customer is beyond me. When mentioning that to the staff the response was, "It was cut this morning". She did offer to replace the fries but we waited long enough for the food that it wouldn't have been worth it. The final straw was shrimp tacos that smelt fishy. The shrimp was not fresh. The only thing still decent were the cocktails. Needless to say we will not be coming back any time soon.
Denise M: Oh dear lort...so yummy and fresh. Food is outstanding, and lots of to chose from and portions are too huge to finish. Nice little patio to sit and enjoy fresh air.Parking: There's some construction going on in back of restaurant (office building) so there were so.e workers taking spaces booo
Ron Onedertwin: Located in Cary Scratch kitchen has great hours and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu was very interesting with lots of options. I had brussel sprouts, egg rolls with pork, pork belly tacos, and pot stickers. The food was pretty good but didn't knock me off of my feet. The redemption is in that there are other options so it's hard to go wrong. I will definitely be back at Scratch Kitchen to continue sampling the menu.

Cessely Gordon: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Creme BruleeMore
Dawn Staniewicz: Went to lunch with 8 coworkers, and my entree didn't arrive. Waitress said there was a mix-up in the kitchen, and my food was given to another table, but it will be up momentarily. Waited 7-10 minutes more when the manager came over and said my order was dropped in the kitchen. Waited another 10 minutes, and my order finally arrived after all of my coworkers were done eating. :( I then asked the waitress if I could have a discount since I basically took 2 bites before we had to leave and go back to work. She had to ask the manager, who reluctantly took 4 dollars off a 17 chicken sandwich. My bill for a chicken sandwich, with a vegetable and an ice tea, was $21.Not worth it.

Brittany Pleasant: Amazing food, service, and people! And AMAZING rehearsal dinner location!A true hidden gem at the intersection of Ten Ten & Kildaire Farm Rd. Our family has been going to this restaurant for years now! Whenever we're not sure what we want to eat, but we're in the mood for something good, we always choose the Chef's Palette. Their menu always has some seasonal items as well as their most popular favorites. And do yourself a favor for an appetizer and get the Brie Bites! When we were looking for a place to host our wedding rehearsal dinner we contacted about 10 restaurants, including Chef's Palette. We were so pleased with the response times and the knowledge of hosting an event like this one so we booked with them nearly a year out! They kept good communication throughout the year and our rehearsal dinner was perfect! Everyone raved about the food and drinks! We're so glad we were able to share a place that we have loved for years with our out of town guests! We will continue to support this great restaurant, business and owners for years to come. We love everything about Chef's Palette!

Sherry Hill: I love this place. Been going for years. The last time, however, I went, I told them I was there for dinner and was taken to the bar area. My daughter and I were there for a nice dinner so I don't know why we were taken there. I asked to be moved to the dining area and was accommodated, but I'll be honest, it was a litlle offputting, especially to my daughter because she had never been there before. However, once seated, dinner was outstanding. We started with the brie bites. They were absolutely delicious. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. It's definitely a hidden gem.
Scott Crawford: Don't be fooled by the unassuming location of this hidden local gem. We've lived a few miles away for years and saw it in passing all the time, but never thought to check it out. Well, some of our friends recommended it to us, so now I'm passing on that good recommendation (and also quietly kicking myself for not trying it sooner!!).First of all, the entire staff is very welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere is chill (love the chicken paintings and the music was excellent). Second, but really first, the FOOD!!! Holy cats, everything we had was absolutely delicious! The brie bites were out of this world, with 3 different saucing choices, they're like an elevated, light mozzarella stick, but SO much better! My wife had the pan-seared flounder and it literally meted on your mouth! I had the steak fries and the strip was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and delicious. Everything was so good, we pushed the envelope and got the key lime pie for dessert. Holy moly, it was a substantial slice and tasted absolutely heavenly. It was a great place to take my boo for an impromptu dinner date (I made the reservation online earlier in the day and it was super easy). We enjoyed the whole experience, our server David was awesome, and we will DEFINITELY be going back!10/10, totally recommend!

I rang to see if they could get us in straightaway. Randi stated the dining room was full. So I began my search to find somewhere to eat.Moments later Randi rang back to explain they now had a table and they were setting it for our party of seven and they were looking forward to us dining with them.It was a great experience and I very much appreciate the extra effort.

Chelsea S.: I used to come here all the time when it was called The Veranda. I do really like the new dining room atmosphere better after the remodel, but they got rid of my favorite brunch dish! I used to come here solely for the Creme Brulee French toast, but now they just have this "French toast brick", and it's just not the same and costs way more. I understand inflation and costs are rising everywhere, but don't fix something that wasn't broken. I don't understand how even using the word "brick" to describe French Toast is supposed to be an improvement. Any additions like bacon or eggs costs extra, which is the same as in the past, but now it's just more reason not to come with the price increases and menu changes. I was pretty disappointed and won't be returning anytime soon.
Larry Haddix: Attended a preset menu and bourbon tasting. The food blew me away. Some of the best and most original dishes in Raleigh.Parking: During the park construction, close parking is a challenge.

Julie A.: So underwhelmed by this meal and extremely surprised by the high reviews. The quail was dry and flavorless, egg rolls were chewy and bland, tuna just wasn’t good, the cornbread salad was just meh.Go elsewhere - ambiance can’t save you when the food is this bland.
Shinya A: We went here for a dinner date night since they had a good deal for restaurant week. We ordered the salad, onion soup, pork chop, and seared ahi tuna. The salad was delicious and the soup was very good. The pork chop was cooked and flavored well and it came with a risotto and kale. The ahi tuna was decent but it did have a fishy after taste which I thought shouldn't be there. But still it was good. The ahi tuna came with a white bean like side. Dessert was really unique and tasted great. It was cheese cake made into three walnut size balls that was accompanied by whipped cream, a caramelized banana, strawberries and blue berries. We sat outside and it was a very pleasant and nice dinner.

Danny's Bar-B-Que: what do users think?
Tova Arnold: I ordered the two meat plate pulled pork and catfish for lunch with blackberry cobbler, I paid extra for the catfish. the pulled pork was on the dry side, lacking in flavor and seasoning. the catfish was perfectly cook but no seasoning at all, side of collard greens not one fleck of red pepper flakes the lack of seasoning in collareds is just disappointing, the slaw was okay and so was the Bbq sauce without it that pulled pork was DOA. The blackberry cobbler was sweet enough but the biscuit was too thick no crumble of sugary goodness on top over all this meal was a huge disappointment for $30 bucks won't be returning. Cute little placed tucked away service was friendly.

Patrick Lyons: Brisket was pretty good, meat is on the leaner side which isn’t my favorite but that’s their style. Sweet BBQ sauce was really good, Vinegar sauce lacked a lot of spices but taste was overall good. Hush puppies were deliciousRecommended dishes Baked Beans, Hush Puppies …More
Mary Jones: Ordered delivery and the ribs and brisket were moist and seasoned perfectly. Baked beans and hush puppies were sweet but not overly sweet. Fries were ok but would have enjoyed a thicker cut. A bit expensive but not when you consider quality and quantity. I have enough food for 2 meals!!❤️Recommended dishes Texas Toast, Beef Brisket, Baked Beans, Hush Puppies …More

Nevin Williams: I met Danny a long time ago as we paired up to golf. What a super nice guy! After meeting Danny I had to eat here.I'm reviewing the food and atmosphere. I've eaten here a few times. The brisket has always been dry. In my opinion the other food is average/bbq above average.l wonder if the 5 star reviewers either know someone who works here, likes dry brisket or never visited a competing local BBQ joint a couple of miles from here?Just being honest about my experience. Parking is odd the first time you visit because it definitely is obscure and the hickory smoke smell will hit you as soon as you park, it will draw you in and make you hungry.I wish I could give Danny's BBQ 5 stars but I don't think it is justified.
Davis Mueller: How are you going to have BBQ in NC with out pulled pork?
Greg Murphy: Do not ever order from this restaurant online. When something goes wrong with the order, the manager takes absolutely no responsibility and blames others. I called to talk about my COLD order and was just told that she had other customers to deal with and she did not have time to deal with me.I will NEVER order anything from this restaurant againPathetic customer service!

Emma H: Delicious! I'm British, so I was excited to visit somewhere my friends and colleagues said was authentic and it didn't disappoint. The food is great and affordable, the venue is quirky and the staff are friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting. A few things to note: It shuts quite early, there's no alcohol and you have to have your whole party there before you can get seated.
Mary Spencer: Good food.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Beef Brisket, Fried Okra …More
Perry Barber: Best non-North Carolina style bbg in town. I'm not a fan of vinegar based BBQ so Danny's works for me.Recommended dishes Fried Okra …More
Tammy Quinn: Decided to try this place at the recommendation of a friend. I ordered the brisket plate with greenbeans and potato salad. The brisket was so overcooked. It was dry and tasteless. The greenbeans had a good flavor but had so many strings on them, it was not edible. The potato salad was just a run of the mill store bought, pre packaged potato salad. Maybe this was an off day for them but I would not go back.
Kent Messick: The BBQ is really good.
William Rodriguez (billrod): We have found our bbq place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Baked Beans, Beef Brisket …More
