Consumer Electronic Services: what do users think?
Precious Smith: Called to get a quote for a TV repair and due to terrible customer service on the phone I wouldn't dare come in to get any service. The man I talked to was very rude and was in such a rush to get me off the phone he told me to just come in to get a simple question answered rather than taking the time out the day to listen to what I even was asking.
Karen Schreiber: Jeff serviced our LG TV under warranty. Consumer Electronics was prompt, and the office was courteous and efficient. Jeff was on time, and had the repair done in moments. He got everything hooked back up quickly and was so personable.Great experience, once the job was assigned to Consumer Electronic Services!
Jon G.: Jeff was awesome! He was contracted by LG to fix my TV, and he did a great job. However, his manager back at the office was very rude and did not know how to communicate professionally.
Robert Kurtz: My experience with CES was great! I had an old Marantz vintage stereo receiver, old speakers and turntable which all needed repair. CES fixed them all at a reasonable price, and when I had an issue with set up of the equipment (a buzz in the bass) they told me what to do to fix it. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews of CES before bringing them my equipment, as I might not have contacted them for help. I may be that the negative reviews you read here concern their warranty work for Samsung or other companies, but it seems like they do a great job if you have vintage stereo equipment that needs to be rehabbed.
Vidhya Vinod: Very honest and to the point advice regarding the repair of our sub woofer. That was very helpful
Larry Wright: All you people who give this business a bad review are crazy. This place is a jewel. If you are looking for good quality vintage audio repair go here. If you don't have the manners to approach the owner with respect go someplace else. The man is someone who will take care of you unless you go in without respect. He has repaired my vintage amp and speakers and I have had work done on my equipment from CA to VA. There is none better .
Debra Anderson: Jeff was friendly, courteous, and appreciated his wearing a mask for safety. He was efficient, professional and accomplished the task in no time...I am a satisfied customer. Thank you!
Norman Malisos: They have been good to me and what I had fixed is now working great.
Dexter Adams: Customer service starts with the first call! I was referred by the LG website and called in just to confirm I had the right place (if they were still a certified LG repair shop). I'm not sure who spoke to—but this person’s disposition was TERRIBLE. It felt like I was interrupting the gentleman and when I asked if I was, he was dismissive and just continued with his script about 25 years and continued with the same annoyed tone.I ignored the rating and figured if they were certified by LG I would give it a chance but if that introduction was any hint at what others have dealt with and why they have barely a 3 star rating, I want no parts.Good luck to anyone who ignores that like I did.
Nancy Pearson: Prompt, very courteous and knowledgeable
Mike Ray: Recently had a 10+ year old JBL subwoofer plate amp die on me. CES was able to determine the issue, but unfortunately JBL no longer stocked parts to fix it. However, CES was able to locate an aftermarket amp that fit perfectly in place of the original, and ordered and installed it - the sub is back up and operating great. Reasonable price and great service.
Ever Cruz: You don’t waste your time going there !!Iike I did.. they told me to show up before 2pmI did it at 1:24pm for drop off for diagnostic he didn't even open the door to see what my problem was .a business like this shouldn't be on google what's the point they waste your time
Austin Lipcsak: LG outsourced a warranty repair for my TV to CESNC. There was a bit of a communication issue early in the process, although I'm not sure if that was CESNC's fault for LG's for not relaying the info. The tech that showed up to my house, Jeff, was super friendly and VERY fast. Came on time, had "everything to build a brand new TV" just in case the over-the-phone diagnosis wasn't right, and promised the TV would be working before he left. Fixed it within 10 minutes by swapping out a fried board, confirmed it was working, and suggested a few settings for the TV. In-an-out, it was less than 20 minutes.I had my service request put in through LG, didn't talk on the phone with anyone much, and didn't visit the store myself, so I didn't experience a lot of stuff the low-star reviews are talking about. It may change if I call them myself for something outside a warranty, but from what I saw, I'd have no problem calling these guys again.
Wascly Wabit: Where do you start with this place. Long time residents in Downtown Cary and the employee/owner just threatened to call police on my autistic son who came in to ask a question about VCR repair. He told him to make an appointment and if he didn’t like it he would call police on him. My son just left! He was so confused. They are crazy. Anger management therapy need right away for employees or owner. Stay far away from this place. Look at other reviews and you will see. Big problem here with this business.
John Critic: Very rude disrespectful customer service!!! I will tell you this guy who was working in the shop today was very menacing like in a way where when I asked him about the repair on my vhs player. He first said that I needed to call the number on the front door, which I did not understand and asked why that was. The guy said it was what they said how it was and if I did not like it he would dail 911 and as soon as they picked up the phone to do so I walked off!!! I was extremely enraged at this guy’s actions!!! Never had I had such very rude customer service in any part of my lifetime!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤. I would say to find yourselves another repair shop for electronics instead of going to this one!!! I can only hope that they soon are put out of business for the remainder of their life.
K S: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessThey were able to solve our electronics issue efficiently.
Daizsa Nohemi: Critical:ProfessionalismJust called and whoever answered is rude and unprofessional. I needed some information before hauling a 70inch tv there but now I’m definitely going else where.
Ken Taylor: Consumer Electronic Service in Cary has the worst personal working for a company I have ever encountered ! Do not spend any of your hard earned money with these people - IF that's what they are !! I stopped by to ask about scheduling service, the doors are locked, and have such dark light film on them you can barely see the shadowy figures inside, nothing about Covid-19, masks, etc. posted on the doors ! A staff person walks up and points to a sign way over on the right side that says call for curbside service, uh excuse me I'm standing right here - I signal the staff - uh I'm right at your front door !!! Just points at the sign and walks away ! That upset me a lot -so I gave the hand gesture and went start towards my car - then he opens the door to admonish my gesture! You could really tell this man could care less about his business and any sort of customer service !!
D. Ramone Moore: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Value
John Russell: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessThe worst repair place I have ever been to. It's not just the awful customer service, it's the simple lack of human decency and tact displayed by whoever is staffing the front. Stay away from this place.
Kathy Hightower: Called to get a charge issue resolved, the man I spoke to was very rude, had to get their last word across, not friendly or understanding of the situation, I wish I could give 0 stars, no one should have to speak with this man and his attitude.

Sonic Device Repair Cary: what do users think?
Katie Lopez: Sonic just replaced my iPad’s charging port and did an amazing job. The repair was done much quicker than anticipated and the staff was so easy to work with.
Praveen Sriram: I always have a great experience here and am a repeat 🔁 customer of this business. Everything always goes really well when I come here and they give me a $5 discount since I’m a loyal customer. Thank you so much for all you do and this is the best experience I have ever had in my whole entire life. I will definitely be back and hope to keep coming here for a long time. Perfect world class experience.
Bracey Fountain: I thought about leaving a 4 star review since I had to drive across town after being told my phone was fixed only to get there and it just was quite fixed yet. Yet it's understandable since I never gave them my passcode so they weren't able to go through the phone to test everything. But I'm giving 5 stars because of Xiang. I brought them my absolutely obliterated Samsung s21 Ultra, and I brought it to them after having brought it to uBreakiFix. uBreakiFix told me I had a damaged motherboard after it supposedly failed several parts of the Samsung diagnostics and that there was nothing that could be done and to see a different repair shop. When I brought it to Sonic, and explained everything to Xiang. He explained he had a solid theory that the motherboard was fine, since the majority of the damage was on the bottom of the phone. After a couple days, I received an email that the motherboard may need motherboard repair and that they offer that level of work at the Raleigh location. Come to my surprise the next day with a message that it was fixed. So I went to pick it up and found it not registering the SIM. So they said they would make sure that the new part was working or not and found it to be faulty. Picked it up today, got my data services working again, all for a fairly reasonable price. Especially compared to the cost of a new phone. I applaud Xiang and Sonic for having found the issues and repaired my phone with no need for motherboard repair. The turn around was very reasonable, they were very communicative, and explained everything very well. For my first ever time needing cellphone repair, I am very glad I brought it to Sonic.
Rayna Reilly: Fast, friendly and affordable.
Christina Haig: Had my Samsung screen replaced here twice (Note 9+ and S20 Ultra). Every time both the main guy and the assistant are pleasant and helpful. They're not trying to oversell you on things, they let you make the decision on what you want to fix (my cameras broke as well on the S9, but wasn't worth the cost to replace). They are just as fast as they can get the screen shipped, once it's in it only takes them an hour to fix. I thought my S9 was toast because it fell in the pool, but they managed to test it beforehand to let me know the device was still good and only the screen was having moisture issues. They are probably too expensive for data recovery, because the price they quoted me for data recovery on the S9 IF the board had been bad was abysmal, so I wouldn't use them for that.
Patrick Halbrook: I've taken my devices to three different places in Cary for repair, and Sonic Device Repair is the best BY FAR. I wish I'd discovered it sooner.
Yunus G.: good
NSA: Terrible customer service. they broke my phone, causing me to lose all my memory and left me a week out of commission. additionally they originally ordered cheap parts and tried to put them in but it would not work... I didn't want to post this but I asked for a manager to call me multiple times but was ignored.. do not come here
Suzette Klein: Terrible customer service.Never, ever take anything you want fixed to this place. I realize I did some damage to my thumb drive but a technician text me and said this, “The NAND controller is damaged internally, and the rear nand chips had their solder joints crushed. That more than likely happened while they were recklessly breaking the usb casing open.”I’m asking myself who opened it?I specifically remember the Indian ‘appearing’ man with glasses at the counter saying he was going to the back and open it once I left and take a look see.Well, I never opened anything! When my husband called back to complain, they quickly said that text wasn’t supposed to texted to me that was a mistake.Regardless, now there is doubt as to the damage and was more caused by trying to open it.I decided to send my drive to another company Secure Data Recovery, I had used them once before but decided to support local. Never again.Their engineer said this, “The engineer noticed there has been previous work done on the board, and the previous company most likely messed it up more, making the recovery more difficult for us to conduct now.”Sonic absolutely took my deposit and tried to open/repair my thumb drive. After such they realized they either damaged it or it was too damaged.Guess we will never know!I called them to discuss it and was basically told a half hearted apology and that again it was my fault. When I asked to speak to owner or manager, the Asian man REFUSED to tell me who that person was or let me speak with a manger. Sounds like he’s the owner huh?Like I said, I realize I damaged it else I would not have taken it there but they put doubt in my mind with their own texts and another 3rd party company confirming it.By the way, Secure Data can fix it!
Joshua Peeler: They did a great job repairing my wife’s BlackBerry. Their customer service was incredible the two times I’ve taken a phone there; great job!
Katie Metts: Wonderful service
RKR Vangala: I went to this store to get a quote for my samsung broken screen, he asked for $50.00 just to give a quote on how much it would cost to fix.
D. Raper: Great place to contact ang let them service and fix your cellphone. Luckly parts were available and they turned around and fixed my phone in 4 business days. I will use this business again if I need a cellphone fixed again!!!!
Sandeep Budanur: Quick turnaround, but ... not satisfied with the quality of iPhoneX screen and workmanship. I got the screen replaced for the second time at this shop and it broke again in spite of being inside an otterbox protective case, when dropped from just 3 feet height on wooden floor. The screen was also not glued correctly, it started to come off from one of the corners.
dynaudio dave: My grandkids have 4 iPads among them and there have been many broken screens and a couple broken charging ports. Bobby (and company) have always been fast and accurate with regard to repairs and price has been fair. I'm a shopper, but I don't even consider anyone else as these guys know how to create and maintain good customer relations.
Laura Russell: I shattered my iPhone screen and Sonic Device Repair was recommended to me by a friend. I stopped in and had a new screen installed in 45 minutes!
Matt Almgren: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Eoin Kinahan: We had an amazing experience with Sonic device repair. Long story short we brought a phone in for repair and it was more complicated than most. Bobby kept us in the loop every step of the way and really went above and beyond more than once to get it fixed. We were so impressed! We will most definitely be bringing our future broken devices to Sonic device repair!
Leo Ramos: Bobby is a real one I was about to go to another place to fix my phone but I was like let me ask someone else first. The first place was charging me 80 bucks for a whole new camera and I went to Bobby and it was just dirt inside my camera he got it done in like 5 min he is such a g
Epicx430: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThis is the premier place to go for device repair. They know what they’re doing and how to explain it to you in simple terms. Service was prompt and professional. I cannot recommend this place enough.
LadyB Luna: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueVery professional place and super fast service. Was told my service would be about 45 minutes, and they got it done in way less time than that.

uBreakiFix: what do users think?
Tony Swann: I needed a new battery for an iPad Pro 11 inch. The team in Cary ran into some problems with it and handled everything perfectly. Dillon was a great help and ensured everything was to my satisfaction and it was. They earned a life long customer.
Marion Guenthner: Awesome experience! He was really kind and knowledgeable plus had my phone fixed even before the promised time. He also recommended a new case so that I would not have this happen again and put the screen saver on for me and everything :-) totally will go back!
Samuel Anderson: Super helpful even when requesting information about screen protectors.
Emilio Hermosillo: Very attentive and honest staff, helpful and interested in solving one's issue. They do their job well and they know it.
Sam Driscoll: No one else was able to or willing to help. These folks did! Recommend them to everyone who needs electronics fixed.
Cyril savage: The guys at the cary location was awesome I would like to thank all of them wish I remember their names but overall great customer service they were fast and did an amazing job thanks again they made my life easier and the kids happy I would refer anyone to them..
Laura Smith: Perfect fix in a timely fashion. If you have an issue with a device bring it here!
Donna Reges: I love these folks! They've been my go-to's from my first visit. Their technical knowledge is superior and their customer service is excellent. It's not easy to find that kind of consistency and it's a relief to know I can always count on them. And I do! I give a special shout out to Stephen who I regard as my tech guru. Kudos to everyone there for work well done.
James A. De Meo: Very experienced and excellent customer service. I'm very confident in all of the technicians' abilities to fix and repair my devices and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for these kinds of services.
Anita Hales: Guys were super helpful even though the store was busy. Fixed my phone in the 2 hrs they said they could.
Angelia Bailey: Stephen was very knowledgeable and polite. Will go there again
Yolanda Perez: They tell you one thing over the phone when you go in the store it's a whole nother ball game. Not a welcoming environment. The rep was the only one in the store he made sure to tell people that. He seemed to try everything possible to turn peoole down then to help them. I won't be going to this store for any device needs again.
Brian Clark: Stephen was very helpful!
Melissa Somody: it took a little longer than I would have liked but they did fix my phone and for that I am very grateful
Valerie Walo: Super helpful and kind. Highly recommend.
Julius Owens: Provide excellent serviceAble to diagnose problems without difficulties.
Araceli Garza: Fast and good.
Christelle Marsh: Smart team, great service, very busy so allow plenty of time. (It's not fast food!)

Teresa Foster: Dylan was great & explained everything
GeraldLaz38: While Samsung and Best buy were busy chasing their tails, this place took my Galaxy fold 4 and pretty much replaced two screens, and the phones framework SAME DAY, and in less than four hours. All done under warranty. Simple, fast, efficient. Why mail your phone to a service center and hope to get it back in a month when these guys can do it same day? Awesome job!

uBreakiFix: what do users think?
Jewel Troy: Quick service and very pleasant
Kayre Paire: Super great service! Finished my device earlier than expected. A lot of these reviews are nitpicky as if all things are unavoidable. Dust? It exists. This isn't the Apple store. Can't fix your device? Yeah, they're not miracle makers but they sure did make a miracle for me! Will definitely come back.
Arshad Merchant: I am sorry to say but this branch of uBrakiFix has a bunch of incompetent jokers working. They kept my laptop for nearly two weeks and were not able to identify what the issue was. And after two weeks when I collected my laptop it was covered with saw dust. One thing is certain that I will never approach them for any issue.
Ziyere Butler: I took my PlayStation 5 in for rear USB port replacement and it took about a week, taking it in on a Monday. I was told 3-5 days with a estimated day of Friday, but they got really busy so you can't blame them. I couldn't pick it up until Sunday. I also didn't schedule an appointment so maybe that contributed. They did a GREAT job and offered a FANTASTIC deal for the repairs!
Justin Reehl: I took my ipad to have the screen replaced (broken). When i went to pick it up there was a significant mount of debris (larger than dust, it was actual dirt) between the glass they replaced and the lcd screen. I notified the cashier and he agreed it was not acceptable and took it back to remove and clean the screen. I went to pick it up for the second time today and although it was better there was still some dust behind the glass and some kind of smudge in the upper right corner behind the glass. I accepted the repair because I just need the device back, but I won’t be bringing my repairs there in the future. The store is super dirty in the front, looks like the floor has never been swept. I guess the back work area isn’t any better and quality control is apparently non-existent as the debris was super obvious the first time and they just handed it to me like it was perfect. I can't recommend this shop.Oh and the "feedback" link they sent over text doesn't work. "there was an error" it says.
Jaime Pedraza: I'd give them 1 star, but they were always nice, although, unfortunately incompetent.Took my Pixel 4 phone in for a battery change which they did, but cracked the screen in the process because they tried to open the phone the wrong way (first red flag). They replaced the screen, but in the process, somehow managed to break the NFC hardware (second red flag). They replaced it, but then it never really worked well again and you would have to squeeze the phone to make the NFC work. They did not seal the phone properly, which I pointed out from the beginning but they told me it was fine....well it wasn't and shortly after, the back of the phone continued to detach and open (third red flag). I took it in again and they replaced the seal and glued it once more. Still did not seal it well and BONUS: now the phone doesn't connect to cellular network at all...ever. They offered to "open it up again and try to fix it" although "it is an old phone" and said I could drop it off, but can't give me a loaner because "it is not under warranty"... Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place: do I take it back to them to try to fix it and pray they don't break anything else in the process or do I take it elsewhere and pay out of pocket for the damage they've caused?Prior to this, my phone was in perfect working order, excellent cosmetic and functional condition, not even a scratch. With the exception of a quickly draining battery. Wish I'd never taken it here. Now: it doesn't connect to cellular network, is not properly sealed/glued (it is visible and palpable) AND have to squeeze it every time I need to use the NFC. My phone may be "old" but I challenge any of the employees to find a phone of the same age as mine in better or at least same condition as mine was prior to them wrecking it.This place should not be a "Google authorized device repair center" period, end of story.
Fiorella Blakely: Jarod was nice and attentive, I would recommend.
Courtney Thornburg: Replaced my battery in a reasonable frame and for a reasonable price, convenient
matt hocker: Took my iphone 14promax for a simple screen replacement, they damaged my phone beyond repair and had no explanation other than "we don't know what happened"
Lauro Mendez: Never had a bad experience. All staff are polite and professional. I will not go anywhere else to have my phone issues fixed..
Brian Thorstad: Perfect repair. Highly recommend.
CORENE FRANCIS: The best Customer Service experience. Professionalism 100%+. 5 Star service. Your are the best!💖🌟✨
John Moran: Great job...thank you
Happy Times: They were great! Josh helped me.. I had 2 phones and they attempted with both. Brought one back to life at a reasonable price and provided a recommendation for the phone thats possibly beyond repair
TALIA Will Tell Ya: Cadence, Super Fabulous & Justice, Awesome! Positive Experience!
Alison Eyth: They correctly diagnosed then fixed my phone within 24 hours
Science Of Fantasy: Needed my PS5 cleaned. Job was done much faster than I thought!
Breanne Long: Professional, courteous, work quickly. Would definitely recommend.
Jay Faulhaber: quick service, technician was knowledgable about different options.
Philip Wagner: Quick and easy.
Dave Cassel: IPad 8th Gen screen repair: Grand daughter step on it, cracked! I tried to repair with help from YouTube, didn't go well. They picked up where I left off with parts sourced from Amazon and fixed it in a couple hours. No warranty bcuz didn't use their parts, and charged me fairly (only $50). Will definitely use them again if similar situation arises.
