Phantom Pain: Bryan at Discount Tire in St.Charles Place in Cary was a pleasure to work with. He truly went above and beyond in finding replacement wheels & tires for my Mercedes-AMG which had all of its 4 wheels & tires stolen. He worked closely with me & my claims adjuster to often provide updates and even came out with the equipment to mount the tires on my car, in my parking deck, because no one was willing to tow my car to the shop. And he did this at no extra cost. Bryan helped transform a difficult time for me and made it so much easier for me. Humanity does exist. Two thumbs way up for Bryan and his team - would highly recommend them!!

H. Berg: Go there spend a $1600 on new tires. Salesman says you will be done on under two hours. Two hours have gone and my truck is still parked outside. Then they want to give me we got backed up excuse. Customers don’t want to hear why you couldn’t do the job they want the job to be done whenever you say it will. Time is important to people. It should be to a business as well. First and last experience here.
Shane Armstrong: I've taken all my vehicles here for the last 10 years or so. Always has fair pricing and good service. I usually try to order online, but something is always wrong with what I try order. Fortunately they always have a comparably priced alternative on hand.
BIGBROTHERiswatchinU: I was here a couple of days ago. I had a slow leak in my tire that morning so I came by to have it looked at. They were pretty quick and had me back on the road before too long. It has a nail in the sidewall so they replaced the tire. I had purchased the tires at a Discount Tire in another city and had the plan that covers the tires, so the cost for that was covered. They also noted that the shop in the other city had put the wrong size wiper blade on the driver's side. The blade was a few inches shorter than it should have been. They had the correct one in stock and asked if I would like to replace it. I hated to replace a fairly new blade, but I figured why not get more area covered as it should be, so I did. Yes, the wrong/shorter blade was put on at a Discount Tire, but not this one, so no blame here for that. I appreciate that they found the error and gave me the option of fixing it.I spend a lot of time on the road, and being able to stop in at a Discount Tire in different areas with a service record on file even in a town you have never been to is very helpful.

Waited 3 hours just for my car to be pulled in and another hour for just 1 rim and tire and was overpriced and there was a point and time where there was only 1 car being serviced for about 20-30 min. while i was still waiting. Really wish i could give zero but you need at least one to leave the comment
Tiffany Cash: I received a flat tire this morning due to a nail so my fiancé and I took it by here to see if they could patch it up or if I needed a new tire. They were so knowledgeable! I ended up getting all four new tires and we were in and out without an appointment in under 1 hour. There is a lot of places to eat near by you could go too while you wait. Reasonable prices as well.

Saleh Mu: This is my first time with discount tire and I am honestly super annoyed right now. I brought my car 8:48 am and it's 11:10 am and my car has not been moved from parking lot to be serviced! I came here 3 days ago to get some tires ordered. Tires came in; the guy on the phone just said come in at any time. I come in and more than 2 hours later! Nothing! I see people coming in and out! Come to find out, those people had appointments for their tire changes; I wish they would have told me that making an appointment would get me outta there faster instead of just telling to come any time, so frustrating. Don't get me wrong , the people at the front are very polite but you need to give people the information they need.. especially if they are a first time customer at discount tire. Also during the buying process no one mentioned about the rebate on the tires till I asked about them today. Great people but lack of transparency/information to the customer.
Nick Leger: I went to NTB yesterday for a nail in my Model Y's tire. They told me they don't fix my Tesla's specific tire and I'd have to buy a new tire. Next morning i went to this Discount Tire location at Harrison Pointe and was given a free repair, no questions asked. I'm a customer for life! LFG!
V!RTU the Anchor: Brought my brand new car here for a screw in the tire. They did a "complimentary" fix for me since I bought 2 sets of tires here before. Waited 1.5 hours for them to finish and I drove away with the same screw in my tire that I arrived with. Found out the next day after taking it to another tire shop to be fixed (again). They showed me a photo of the screw still in my tire. What did you guys do when you pulled it into the bay, lifted it and removed the tire? This level of incompentcy will have me looking for a new shop next time I need tire work.
Kenzy B: I was given 5 star service borh times I went to DT. The entire team was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They got me taken care of with no problems and even went the extra mile to pick up my out of stock item for a following day service. They were recommended to me by someone who is heavily into cars and I would now recommend them time and time again! They were honest and upfront and their prices can't be beat!

Hunter did an excellent job of assessing my car (a mad shimmy at 35+mph) and offering an opinion as to the root cause. Granted, the back tires have some age on them, but that was not the primary issue. He did not go for the "quick sale" of replacing those tires (as I imagine the typical tire shop would do). I appreciated Hunter's transparency and I'll be back to DT for the replacement tires once the other area of concern is addressed. Thank you for great service DT!

They told me I had 5 nails in my tire! 5 nails on the side of the highway all landing on the same tire? Not Believable!! I was forced to buy a new tire rather than patch it. Fast forward a year. My dad gets a flat. He goes to this place. His tire couldn't be patched either. Dishonest! Dishonest! Dishonest!

They claim to have a price for every budget, obviously not. There are too many quality tire shops in the area, I highly do not recommend going to any Mr.Tire.

Deseree Bell: I’ve been going to this location faithfully for the past 3 years or so. The last few times I went… the experiences started to become shakey. I went to get my routine oil change for an upcoming inspection the next day… Once I went to get my state inspection at AAA I was told (and showed) that I hadn’t gotten an oil change in a while. I was in disbelief and thought maybe AAA was trying to get a sale out of me. So I waited a while since I don’t drive much working from home. Then I went again for my routine oil change 3 months or so later and was told my brakes and rotors were in bad condition I normally trusted these guys because they were always helpful and kind. This time, it was a different guy and I got the vibe that he definitely was in the business of selling and something was off. I called my step dad to confirm. He told me to take a picture of my rotors, when they came off. So I did, (When I asked to see them… literally the whole crew came out to watch my reaction and was shocked that I asked) come to find out there was no issue and looked close to new. Beware and have knowledge or have someone you know to guide you. All this time I thought I was receiving great service, but I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of a few times now. NTB has been my choice for over 6 years and I really don’t want to give up on the company… but this location is over with for me. I hope I get fair treatment at another location. We’ll see…

Neenee B: Listen, the level of customer service I received here today was BEYOND PHENOMENAL!! I got stuck on the side of the road NYE and EVERY tire shop is closing early. I called this location and they were willing to wait for me to arrive (12min) when nobody else’s would wait. It’s pouring raining, I live almost 2 hours away, and you have no idea how much of a blessing they were. When I arrived the whole staff was standing there smiling and greeted me warmly. The building was clean and I was quite comfortable as I waited a very short time for my tire. My tire is so rare, it almost ALWAYS has to be ordered. The fact that they even had it in stock was amazing! I’ll always look up this franchise location in the future no matter where I am, just because of the service I received tonight! It’s 12/31/22 THE LAST DAY OF THE YEAR, and I’m truly Grateful that my experience here was perfect! Adam was the manager on duty and the whole team are just great. I can’t stress this enough! So for you corporate guys that read these reviews- DO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR THIS CREW! They most certainly deserve it! They went above and beyond your competitors- to ensure a specific level of service that is unbeatable in my opinion! Thank you! I recommend this location 10 stars! -

Jorge Leon: My car was driving perfectly and only needed an oil change, so I went for a simple oil change during the weekend and when asked to the manager if they found an issue he said "everything's perfect", however when I left car was pulling to the right. When I called again Adam said it surely was due to the "tire rotation" they did (a service I never requested). When I came back on Monday the manager Brian rudely said "your car is like that because it has a disc problem" wthat? I told him it was driving perfectly before coming to his shop and showed him the invoice to which, as the jerk he is, he said "I don't care about your invoice, give me the keys and you should be grateful I won't charge you this time". I wouldn't recommend this place and I will not return to this shop again.
Opes Magna: Unprofessional manager. The car was taken for a simple oil check and its ties were misaligned, had to be taken to another shop to be repaired.
Allison Leon: Terrible experience, the manager Brian was rude and impolite at my husband. We went for an oil change and they damaged the tires alignment. When we went back to the shop for them to fix what they damaged the manager was utterly impolite towards us. I would not recommend anyone to come to this shop.

Kevin Blanton: Called this establishment on a last minute notice as we are from out of state and they were able to get us in for four new tires and an alignment. Staff was extremely courteous . Kudos to Brad and his team for a job well done!

Wes DuBois: I am in the process of buying out the lease on my 2020 Ford Explorer. Part of that process involves getting a new NC State inspection and my tires did not pass so I was forced to get a whole new set quickly so that I could complete that purchase. I did plenty of online searching for the best combination of prices/deals/availability/financing and NTB (Store #7326) on Kildaire Farm Rd. in Cary stood out well above everything else that I could find. On top of those tangibles; my experience there was top notch. I was treated like a valued customer from start to finish. All of the details of the available services were explained thoroughly and the work was done expertly. I will be bringing both of my vehicles for all services to this location from now on!
Jenny O'Brien: The actual service was fine. Nothing special. The thing that gets one star is they gave my number to some “auto savings” spam thing. I work night shift so I sleep during the day and thanks to that, I was called like 5 times by these people. It felt like literal torture as once again, I sleep during the day. Why they would think giving my number away is appropriate is beyond me but they lost a customer bc of it. Thanks a lot. I don’t write many reviews but that memory of being woke up from REM sleep multiple times is so horrible it fills me with rage that turns me into a Karen.
William Strandberg: NTB technician rotated my tires and plugged a nail hole in one of my tires. The technician was quick and I waited a very short time.

Yolanda Perez: Took my tire in because they were installed by this location a month ago and one tire was deflating slowly after a month. They checked it out and said that it had a nail and they couldn't fix it because it was too close to the rim. They tried getting me to buy a $160 tire instead of getting it plugged. I had my ex look at it and he was able to plug it no problem. It was NOT close to a rim. Total lies. I do not recommend this location.
killjoy 666: Ok. I got to give credit where credit is due. I had a very bald tire. Another not looking so hot. Started calling around. It's Sunday. My only day off and the only time I can do this. Aaaaand I got an event to get to. I believe Joe Hunter picked up as his shirt said Hunter. I was placed on hold after telling him I need tires and I saw I was only six min away so I drove there and saw he was the only guy running everything. Only one bay open and help wanted posted on a white board. Turns out they didn't even have my size in stock, but Hunter focused all his attention on finding something that will fit my vehicle. I was able to get to my event and come back with 4 new tires all balanced. No more highway shake. Oh, and they tucked in my shifter boot as it keeps falling off the knuckle. Excellent customer service. This the kinda stuf that makes me not wanna go anywhere else.
Brent Wall: Buyer Beware!!! They sell Interstate Batteries but refuse to honor the terms of the Interstate warranty. Even after Interstate told them directly the terms of their warranty, they still claimed that their 'store policy' took precedence.
Chase Franklin: Make sure if you get work done here that you ask every step of the way if you will be charged for every little thing. Came in for brakes, guy convinced me to do alignment as well for $405. Ended up with over $600 of work because they did not tell me they were charging me for something they did.
Ethan Kirkland: Incredibly shady with how they communicate their pricing. I absolutely do not trust these people after my last experience with them, and will not be back.

David Castro: I took my car here for an oil change and to fix this sound that’s been coming from my rear brakes! I was told the sound was most likely because I needed new tires! So I paid $800 for new tires! When I asked if the sound was fixed I was told the tech didn’t hear it anymore! As soon as I got in the car I heard the sound immediately! They also forgot to reset the oil light and balance my tires! As soon as I got on the highway my car was shaking very bad! Super dangerous for them to do that! So I brought the car back! I was then told the master mechanic would be in later that week so I can bring it back for him to look at! After the “master mechanic” looked at it I was told it was my emergency brake and it would be another $510 to fix! As soon as they gave me the car back the sound was still there! I brought it back again and they told me nothing is wrong with the car but if it continues I might need a new emergency brake! So long story short I’ve paid them over $1300 for them to not fix the problem! Obviously I would never bring the car back to a place that charged me that much money and didn’t fix anything! I highly recommend you don’t take your car here! If the best mechanic they have can’t fix a simple brake problem I’d be very nervous for him to work on your car! They have completely scammed me out of a lot of money and left my car in worse shape than when I got it! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!

West: Been here twice and that will be it. First time getting an oil change. Some very young kid working on my car almost crashed my car as I heard my car being revved up to take off fast, followed by loud tire screeching, followed by someone else slamming on their horn. The kid then timidly and fast like handed my keys back and said to me "You have good breaks" and darted off. Second time, months later I went in to get new spark plugs and they left behind the socket they were using and one spark plug box stuck under my radiator.

The waiting room is closed to comply with Covid-19 recommendations I’m sure however, neither one of the employees driving cars into the inspection area were wearing masks. All customers waiting outside had masks but employees getting into the cars and breathing possibly coughing into cars were completely unmasked.
Savannah Socha: Maybe I hit the timing just right, but this place was SPEEDY FAST for a tire repair. Got a lovely screw straight in the tread. They got me in and out in less than 15 min. Fixed my tire, checked all my other tires, then even reassembled the back of my car where the spare and jack had all been pulled out! Very quick, good service. It'll be my new go-to tire place, for sure. Oh, and the price was GREAT :)
