Damien Ferraiolo: We visited while on our trip from NJ back home to FL. Our family stayed in the cottage which was an amazing accommodation for our family of four. It was nice having some separation from our boys for the skating arrangements. In the morning we had a delicious light breakfast in the main house. The property is in a great location, walkable to the downtown area. We really appreciated our stay to help break up our trip. I am also a huge fan of older architecture so I loved this over staying in a boring motel.Rooms: The rooms were decorated very beautifully and provided a great stay.Nearby activities: The downtown area along with a minor-league baseball team stadium. There’s also a veterans memorial nearby.Walkability: You could walk to the downtown area or to the Veterans Memorial.

Patrice Carter: I can't say enough incredible things about the MacPherson House and their wonderful staff!I recently hosted my first overnight women's retreat here and also stayed over night as a guest of the "Mac House".... INCREDIBLE from planning the retreat with Mary, the Innkeeper and EXCELLENT execution with the staff and the onsite chef.The first night we were met with homemade chocolate chip cookies, a coffee and tea bar, chocolate on our beds and immaculate decor.I stayed in the "Lookout" which is the uppermost room and I was just in awe. It is a modern apartment that overlooks the grounds and is essentially a condo.Alexis, the MacPherson House chef blessed us with the most incredible Retreat brunch and it included homemade quiche, watermelon water, crispy bacon and sausage, a fruit salad, berry tarts, coffee and music!!!The other members of their staff were always full of smiles, accommodating, helpful and had the sweetest spirits.The rooms of the MacPherson House are a GORGEOUS mix of historic and modern; there is a fridge on each floor and ample space to have privacy, from the multiple porches and sitting rooms.The house is peaceful and quiet.The Gathering Space is the bottom-most floor and is where we held the retreat. Carol Geary: We had a wonderful stay in cottage out back on our trip to Florida. The rooms were immaculate with a separate bedroom and living room, which was perfect as we were traveling with our son and two small dogs. We were so grateful our pets were welcome. We had an early start to the day and hosts had a wonderful breakfast left in our kitchen with everything you could want including muffins, fruit and more. We had a pleasant dinner to go at a nearby local restaurant recommended to us, that had vegetarian and vegan choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a welcome refuge after a long drive and I would gladly stay there again when we are in the area.

Don Giles: My fiancé' and I stayed at the MacPherson House for a short stay in Fayetteville. We loved everything about our stay here. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and cooked fresh for you every morning. The staff was nice and so helpful. The rooms are quiet and well stocked. There are not TV's in the rooms, but that was honestly the best part. It was such a relaxing time.We haven't been able to stop talking about how much we loved this The MacPherson House to our friends and family since we've returned home. We already plan to come back and stay there again!Nearby activities: Close to downtown, Crown Complex, and the Cedar Creek mall. It was basically centrally located to everywhere.

Mel Foster: My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! The house and our room were so beautiful. Very vintage and romantic. We were obsessed with how comfortable the bed was and how soft the sheets were. There was a coffee, water, and tea bar in the hallway. There was fresh cookies for us too! We were here for a wedding and needed to leave early and they were able to accommodate an earlier breakfast for us. The dining area was so cute and the food was great! It is an old house, so you do have to be respectful of noise! There is a nearby train track, so be mindful of that. We will 100% stay here again if we are in the area!

Mere steps away from all the downtown amenities and easy access to everything else due to its fantastic location.Absolutely would recommend and will likely stay again if the opportunity presents itself.Rooms: Rooms are cozy, but the high ceilings make it feel more luxurious and open. Nate Luther: Overall, it’s a really great apartment complex. However, it’s the 25th of June and they have yet to ensure the pool is open for us who live here. We pay for an overpriced apartment and they can’t even get the pool open on time for summer. All of the maintenance on the pool should have been fixed prior to summer. Work orders on the other hand are amazing. The maintenance and leasing team are amazing too.

Tannance Holliday: Brianna helped my husband and I when we really needed it. The ladies in the leasing office are amazing and definitely treat you as family! Let’s not get me started on the amenities and the apartment itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The maintenance men are so nice and respectful and come as soon as possible (I’ve never had to wait more than 2 days to get something cosmetic fixed, I don’t know about something urgent I haven’t had problems thus far). The community is clean and I feel super safe when I’m taking walks either alone or with my husband. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Lexus Barrett: I’ve been living here for the last 5 months and it’s been amazing!! The maintenance team is always so polite and quick to get things done. The leasing team is very welcoming every time I come into the office. They have monthly community events for the residents that are well thought out and well planned. I will be renewing my lease this year!

When we first moved here it was great no issues, Apartment was clean Except the mold on the tub that I would find whenever I cleaned it. After the first couple months it was terrible trash everywhere no one ever actually put it in the trash compactor just piled it on top of each other, Gave False information. Maintenance however was not really an issue until my bathroom light went out and they decided to complete the work order without actually fixing it, I put another request in only for them to say at 8pm that night they don’t fix the lights. So now I’ve been without a bathroom light up until I moved out. I was always told it was 60 days of nonpayment before an Eviction process even though payments were made received a call basically saying well that person lied you owe us such and such and we have been sending emails, I even checked while we were on the phone checking for the date she stated the emails were sent and I hadn’t received anything! The doors were also always broken didn’t even lock half the time. Marie always had an attitude with my boyfriend for some reason, she told him one thing, but told me something completely different. Squatters came and created commotion. Never had my final walkthrough just absolutely ridiculous.ALL IN ALL I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Steer far far away.

James Garcia: Great apartments . Typically doesn’t take longer than a day or two to get a solution to maintenance requests . Put it in a work order last night and got another quick response and fix today . Very flexible for military as well if you leave frequently, I moved out beginning of the year and chose the same complex a few months ago . Very flexible management.

Johnnie Wells-DuBois: Our home burned down November 22, 2022. The insurance put us into an extended state hotel, but we needed someplace to be until our home is rebuilt. The people here were more than willing to work with the insurance company and us to make that happen. We are very grateful for God having someone in place to be there for us when we couldn't be there for ourselves.

Ranson Coleman: The best part of my stay here was the manager Marie. She was the manager of the entire time I was there and she was fantastic. She always listened to any concerns that I had and acted fast to reconcile them. She always has a great attitude and is full of energy. She and her team provided me with great service the entire time I was there and I had a great four years. I will miss this team and the community is in good hands as long as Marie is the manager

Model room looks real nice.Moving into my apartment is a memorable one , the apartment was very clean that is walls, bathroom. kitchen and all the other areas in the apartment. I had something to be done in my bathroom and bedroom and I sent an email and the response was extremely fast and it was corrected the next day.I can proudly say I have no problem with Independence Place apartment and I would recommend anyone to choose this community.

Ashton Brown: It was amazing when I moved in but moving out I have an outstanding balance in which I called several times to speak with someone. My call was never returned and I just found out they did an unauthorized charge on my card due to me having my card information on the system. However my account was never set to auto draft!!!Update: As I am making payments on the ridiculous bill it was sent to a collections agency. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!! Still no call from the property manager and when I call the phones are still down!!

Chrissy Keough: This place is an absolute joke. Don’t move here if your military as they do not care about you. Management never did initial or final walkthrough. Maintenance crew was always drunk. No repairs were ever made even though they kept increasing our rent until we could not afford it anymore. Gross apartments were never cleaned, our floor boards weren’t even glued down. We paid our final rent and now they want 2,000 more dollars and we don’t even live there anymore and haven’t in almost a year. Gave our notice and did everything right, but apparently there’s not record of that. I could go on and on about everything that happened there. Shootings every night, people trying to break into our apartment, and can’t even get anything fixed that breaks. Save yourself the harassment and false accusations from their incompetent management and find somewhere else to live.

Andrew Wruck: Everything about this house was perfect for my TDY. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Doug was on point with whatever was needed and otherwise you were left to focus on your work with minimal distractions.

Bianca Tarlton: I recently stayed here with my husband while we were in town for a function at Ft. Bragg. I am glad I came with him because if he had come to The Duke's House (He kept calling it TDH), I don't think he would have come home.We met some other great guests while we were there and the house keeper has a little kitten she brings along when she cleans. I enjoyed the back yard and laying in the sun in privacy. There is a little park nearby where we took the kids and it was really close to the base.The owners were very accommodating and attentive. I would travel more with him if all the places he stayed were like this. Thanks TDH.

Michael Tarlton: The owners of this establishment have absolutely raised the bar on TDY accommodations around the Ft. Bragg area. The place was clean, well thought out, and tastefully decorated. The back yard is beautiful and having refrigerators and a full kitchen with dishes made it feel like home. Quiet neighborhood with privacy and convenient to base, food, and other amenities. If you are TDY at Bragg and long for a home cooked meal, clean house, and some privacy this is the spot. I hear they are installing a library this spring too!

Isaac S.: A year ago I was staying at a hotel at the beginning of a long TDY in the Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg area and was miserable after a week of just having a hotel room with a poor excuse for a kitchenette to go to at the end of the day. Thankfully one of the owners reached out and introduced me to The Dukes House. I was a little apprehensive at first because it sounded too good to be true.After I toured the place, I was moving in the next day. You can't beat the amenities of having a house to stay in when you're away from your own house for an extended period of time. Having a full kitchen stocked with utensils allowed me to cook the way I want. There's a comfortable couch to relax on while enjoying complimentary beer from the kegerator while watching HDTV or utilizing the internet. Much better than any hotels can offer.I will try to book a room here before being reduced to staying elsewhere while on TDY in the Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg area. If you're able to and there's an open room, I recommend staying at the Dukes House.

Brian Hueske: I may be biased, but the place is fantastic! If you are in the know, this is absolutely the best place to stay for long term TDY in the Fort Bragg area.
