Jacob Desjarlais: Blanton's send out a guy named Jason. He didn't listen to anything I was saying and kept trying to create huge jobs like running an entirely new water main line, even though it absolutely was not needed. He quoted me a range of price from $4000 to $7000 and told me that the only difference between the two prices was the cost of the disposal being either a 1/3 hp or 1 hp. When I asked what disposal has a 3000 dollar price difference he just shrugged and said he doesn't set the prices.Jason told me with a straight face that any disposal under $750 would rust within a few months and be useless, the only real disposals to use cost around $1100. He also said it would cost between $500 and $1000 to fix an outdoor spigot. They literally screw on and off.I've had issues with Blanton's before, but they were always quick to fix the problem or make it right. But a $7k quote for what every other plumber quoted me at $1500 for is ridiculous. They tried to do massive work on my house when not needed to just add money to the bottom line, then they tried to sell me an ELEVEN year financing plan. Ridiculous.I called them because I'm having a baby and don't have time to do the work myself and instead they give this absolutely insane quote.
