Up & Coming Weekly: what do users think?
Ronald Prater: This place is truly a community newspaper. The best place to get information from an unbiased source who truly understands Fayetteville/Cumberland County. Bill and his team are involved in the community and have always done a great job. I especially love the Kidsville publication and so do my kids. I live in Stedman, NC and this is still the only newspaper that is available for pickup at the post office FOR FREE!. Go check out their publication and website as well as events page. You won't regret it.
wldman Dan: Great people Great Local Magazine
Bill Mcqueen: Great folks doing wonderful things for Cumberland county! I highly recommend their publications.
Michele Runge (KITTY): Love the free paper! Keeps me up to date on what is happening in Fayetteville NC!
Melissa Jo: Great information about what is going on in the area
thomas kinlaw: All of the employees and staff are the best..Mr Bill is a great guy and everyone is very helpful and friendly....I recommend to anyone when advertising a business....
Cindy Rogers: Love Up & Coming local paper. Love Margaret Dickson's columns and the crossword puzzle, in particular.
Drew Perrin: I thought this was a nice family paper. The unsubstantiated rumor festering tripe vomited out about the president is not worth the propaganda ink it is written in and meant only to smear and incite. I will never pick up an issue again and will try and get as many as possible to do the same. At least do a minor amount of context research and pretend to be fair. Where is the other side's viewpoint or for that matter a middle point. Biased political bilge from the far left trying to condition the public. Goebbels said, "Repeat, repeat!" Not nice at all.
Don Garner: Fayetteville's only locally owned and operated community newspaper. NEWS, VIEWS, ARTS, and Entertainment with over 250 rack locations in Cumberland County. A good read.
Green Seen: I love Up & Coming, they are so professional and provide fantastic news! Good news at that!

Fayetteville Observer: what do users think?
Nathan Herring: I'm going to Ms working with this company.i wish they could off stayed a little longer. I'm grateful wish them the best..
Tim Bruce: They call several times a day for several weeks to push the resubscription.
jUSTIN nOPE: I remember when investigative reporting meant more than just driving around looking for food trucks in parking lots. This town deserves better. Check out WRAL for some suggestions about how to report on Fayetteville?
Patrick Stephenson (Dizzle): No one here
Garry Hawn: It was a better newspaper, say 25 years ago. Then, like everything else in this city , it went to SCHEISS. So sad. Now the only thing it's good for is to wrap fish in it. ,,,,,,😎
Claire Johnson: Delivery of my paper missed several times in the past two months. No paper replaced. I called twice and left messages but have yet to receive a response! I saw that there is now a new head for the Fayetteville Observer. I hope she can improve (1) delivery of my paid copy of the paper seven days a week, (2) have a person actually ANSWER your phone when we, your paying subscribers, call you, (3) have someone respond to a message left., (4) follow-up on delivery issue calls , not ignore them! I've called several times, left message about undelivered paper and still not received a response call. What's going on? The Fayetteville Observer used to be reliable!!! I'm seriously considering canceling my long held subscription!
Johnnie White: Th observer has gone down hill since the new company bought them out. Much of the news is 2 or even 3 days old. Often I see the same articles that were in previous editions. Too many times cartoons are re printed. I have been getting my paper by 5 am every day but this week i have been getting it anywhere from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. This is unexceptable. It's 11:15 on a Sunday and i still don't have my paper. If they are using a sub driver they need to get started earlier. I am considering canceling my account.
Randy Yates: I canceled my subscription to this paper due to moving out of the area, then a year later I found I was being charged for another subscription to the tune of more than $400! I called several times and left messages, sent 2 emails, no response. Customer support is abysmal.** In response to the response, I have sent SEVERAL emails, each with my phone number, the only call I got was from a delivery person who said he was told to call me. What was he going to do? I am going to take this up with the Better Business Bureau, it may not get me a refund, but it will make this situation more visible.
Ronald Card: U are the owner i have a question could u email me at ronniecard97@gmail.com please
Carassa Crumpler: It's a newspaper and ad company
Sharon Collins: Just went to pay our bill. Paper is delivered daily.
Joshua Pardo: I enjoy receiving the paper, however they did not say anything about the new “premium” service before I signed up. Decreased my subscription by more than half. I will receive roughly six of the twelve weeks. I will not be renewing my subscription.
Sarah Thomas: Nice people
Terri Schleich: All the info you need for close to home and abroad!
MH DAVIS: Deserves -10 stars. The worst customer service ever. It is bad enough that you have to talk to someone in another state but then you constantly get the run around. We have had issues since Gatehouse Media purchased them. Mr. Yarborough would be sooo disappointed in how far down hill the quality of the paper and customer service has gone. We were overcharged on our subscription and promised a refund which never came. It is a shame that the oldest newspaper in NC has become such a disaster.
Maxim Brindin: The person at receiving paper rolls is friendly.
charlene leak: Worked there many years ago.. nice place to work
Kathy Leandro: Poorest customer service I have experienced in 40 years of taking paper. Delivery is so bad our entire neighborhood is concedering dropping paper. Bad enough that paper is not an actual paper but to not receive until after 10 am is not acceptable. Talked to circulation manager many times last month but he only says he will do better! Do not take or advertise in this paper as no one reads it. Call center is in Fka. And they just laugh!
J Nicholson: They change your subscription arbitrarily. They pressure customers to sign up for automatic payments, then they take payments beyond the monthly subscription claiming special inserts are worth the same amount as your monthly bill. The company that bought the paper is ruining what used to be a good and reputable business. In response to the "owner's" response, I called your customer service about my bill and all I got was a run around. I went in person to the paper to try and get some resolution and all I got was more run around and the same excuses. I also got to witness your staff pressuring the senior citizens, who were coming in to pay their bills, to sign up for automatic payments. Most of them couldn't understand why their bill date kept changing and all they wanted was a set date to pay their bill and a set amount for their subscription and they wanted to be able to pay it by mailing in a check. And as for your letter to subscribers, the only way to not be billed for the inserts was to not get the weekend papers. I wanted to get 7 days worth of papers. I was charged 15 times in a 12 month period - the subscription rate, not an additional fee. An additional fee would have been two or three dollars. When I tried to get clarification of that YOUR "customer service" kept telling me that my subscription date changed each time I was billed for one of those inserts. It certainly did, it was reset backwards. Unless you come up with a refund to everyone your company has duped with this scheme and then make a reasonable offer to ex-subscribers that is above board and honest, then you can keep your paper.
Evelyn Barnes: This newspaper has lost its hometown appeal, not worth the money anymore!
Dina Simcox: Worst customer service ever, worst subscription delivery ever.

Kidsville News Inc: what do users think?
Supreme Truth: Haven't seen it operating since COVID hit.
Monic Allen: Sad that you have to visit your children in this place with no entertainment for kids really . you have to be quiet you cant enjoy what little time you have with your kids . if visit starts late due to social worker they dont allow the few minutes of make up time they only care about being out of there exactly when they close at 5pm. Workers and front personal sit in the front and talk about the parents that come in and they are judgemental about how many children some of the women have very unprofessional. Rude . inconsiderate. Un caring about us mothers situation . please keep cps out of your life if u can help it

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Melody Farnham: Went there to get Harry Potter for my little man and to look at calendars. Staff was more than helpful in assisting in locating the calendar section. The atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxing.
Jamie Barillas: Always loved BN and even a member, however, whoever the girl with the shaved head who is heavier set with a septum piercing (there's literally only one and they purposefully covered their name tag) was absolutely rude as hell the other day when we're in there. Yelling at customers, horrible attitude, rolling eyes, sarcasm when talking to customers, rushing customers through the mine even those that had questions, talking down to customers, slamming books, I could go on. I'm not sure if it w as because it was 2 days before 4th of July and she had to work? I'm not sure if it's because she hates working there? Or if it's because the line was long? Either way, she's pretty terrible. Driving to Raleigh for BN sounds better than dealing with this garbage. If I can locate her name. I will update this review.
Nicodemous: Great Barnes & Nobles good selection of books, collectables, games, movies, music and kids toys. I always find something neat every visit. Not to mention they have a great Starbucks in house also.Definitely one of the best places to past the time in Fayetteville if your trying to have a relaxing day.
Christopher Rivas: Great place to browse for books.
William Parker: Been coming here for years, mainly for the great selection of music. I don't appreciate that they downsized it but there's still a bit of stuff to look through.
Lightsaber360: I love going into this store, even though it's so big, it feels like a cozy shop.
blaze woodruff: They sell books! 5 stars :)
Jim Squibb: Enjoyable place to shop
Summer Dobbins: Quiet and a great happy atmosphere!
MELISSA Dossantos: GO WOKE GO BROKE....BOYCOTTING
Cheryl Scott: Was unable to find a novel and asked a staff member and he walk me right to it only one was left and he checked me out with a very big smile
Michael Burke: Classic B&N atmosphere. Coffee Shop meets book store vibe.
Michelle S: We go here nearly weekly. Biggest frustration is that they let people spread out food and bags and stuff on the kids table, leave it there to take up seats and space but don’t actually sit, and don’t shoo them away. I’ve even complained and they didn’t do anything. The workers are often busy chatting to each other, personal conversations, rather than helping customers. It’s normal location, normal variety and good stock, but the service is less than stellar and they really need to do something about the kid section.
Al Taz: Only bookstore in Fayetteville. Store renovations are awesome! Looks totally different. Staff is helpful and friendly!
Momma Shelly: Lovely place to talk with friends and grab a bite at Starbucks and has great books
Green Girl: Mahrya is phenomenal! She is a barista at the Starbucks and was so kind, patient and attentive to my order and concerns. Went above and beyond, deserves the recognition.
Angelika Morgan: Sooo much of exciting merchandise I could not view all. Got what (and not) I needed and had an excellent shopping experience.
Thomas Viger: Very clean organized and friendly atmosphere
Nicholas Gardner: Seemed very unorganized and messy. Really think there should be a kiosk available to search for an author or specific books availability and location within the store.
chia eban: Love this cute place
Dereka Robinson-Jordan: Good experience, store manager went above and beyond for my mom.
