Brian Joseph: First, let me start by saying I really like this place... The staff is top notch, and the service was impeccable. The grounds and rooms, as well as the amenities, are meticulously maintained. The food was awesome! Everything we tried was simply devine, and though everything on the various menus were pricey, it was all worth it due to the service and quality alone. The spa was truly relaxing, and the masseuses there and the support staff were great. That said, the ONLY thing preventing me from giving this 5 stars was the fact the road noise from I-40 was just horrible and non-stop due to it is literally right behind it, which made being on the lakeview balcony almost impossible, and enjoying the outside amenties relatively noisy. But again, everything else was really good, the concierge and the front office were awesome and we truly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely come back (I will just be inside more).

Annie Thompson: Our families recommended the Umstead as the top place to have your wedding…so we booked our wedding there. On the day of the wedding someone in our wedding party tested positive for Covid. We decided to cancel our wedding and quarantined ourselves and our guests. We even ordered room service and had them leave the food outside of the door to make sure others were safe. One week later the Umstead charged us for all the food for the wedding including charging for not just the ingredients but the cooked food. They also charged us for the wedding cake and my bouquets. We never saw any of these things. They didn’t even ask us about the items when we cancelled on the day of. We would have shared all the food and cake with our guests who were quarantined and travelled across the country for our wedding. When we mentioned that they should have told us about these things and that they were going to charge us, they said that they didn’t want to bug us after what happened. That was cop-out they could have told any of our wedding party about it and we would have been able to at least enjoy what we were being charged. They made an already traumatic experience way worse. This place has no heart and is strictly money driven. I do not recommend this hotel especially for your wedding.

Jacob Yackenovich: Continues to be an absolute remarkable experience. The staff are pleasant and very attentive to guests and detail. Rooms are well appointed. Highly recommend the spa level suites, ground floor, high ceiling, patio seating outside.

Apparently Umstead spa had a renovation that made it impossible to find an open slot to book for my birthday 5/19. I settled for the next available day which took place today and the environment was so comforting. I didn’t get to experience the steam room, but the lounges were nice, the atmosphere, the whirlpool, the co-ed outdoor whirlpool was so nice. The bath & body products available for use while patronizing the establishment smell so good and feel nice on the skin. I booked the coastal massage 80 min with Chengwei, he provided a relaxing massage experience. I’ll have to return at a later date.Unika B. & Co.

The most important thing for a hotel is safety and security so beware of these hotel chain!

Nick Keirstead: The stay was nice, staff was friendly. But the room had a weird smell that didn’t seem to go away it smelled anywhere from wet dog, to old food, to smelly shoes. And I saw a German cockroach crawling around on the kitchenette area, I only saw one and it was right before I checked out had I seen it on the first day I would have definitely been creeped out my whole stay. And the hill getting into it is super steep. Had the room not smelled and I hadn’t seen a cockroach it would’ve been a 5 star.

Mrs. Williams: Arrived a bit before check in time and had to wait about a half an hour to check in but that was fine as we had to pick up a few things from the area while on our trip. This property is literally in the middle of everything. It took minutes to get to the grocery stores, the convenience stores, shopping and eateries. The service was great and they were very accommodating. The pool was open and it was clean and around the poolside. Our room was huge and was cleaned and orderly. If I had to complain, I'd say that it wasn't clear that we had to request stay over service as we were there for 3 days. The front desk supplied additional linens and towels upon request. They served different breakfast every morning and it sustained us just fine while we were out about the town. Lobby and the breakfast area was clean and sanitized. The customer service was refreshing as the crew did everything in their power to make sure or stay was pleasant. Will definitely stay here again.

Ian Knights: We stayed over in Raleigh for one night and chose the Comfort Inn Mid Town. Check in was done easily with two helpful people helping us at the reception desk. We were appointed to Room 208 which was fine. It was a pretty standard room with 2 comfortable queen sized beds. It had all the normal functional features that you can expect from this quiet, medium 3 star establishment. Important for us was a desk and enough sockets to plug in all the electronic devices that you carry about with you when on the road nowadays. The free WiFi worked well. As normal, it seems, there was a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. In the well appointed bathroom the shower was in the bath tub. We enjoyed free parking. A free breakfast was included in the room rate but we didn't make much use of it as the choice was relatively "modest". All good.

Robbie Eaton: I have stayed at this hotel many times while working in the area. The only negative if I had to say, would be the corridor carpets are stained, and old. But the rest of the hotel is updated and very clean.

Susanna Kramer: The price was extremely reasonable for what we got. The location is great, room was clean and spacious and had a small refrigerator and microwave, and the air conditioning worked well. The beds were very comfortable. The free breakfast was good, they had free coffee and tea in the lobby, reception was friendly and professional, and it was very quiet! Parking is also free. We had a nice view of the pool and surrounding trees. We didn't use the pool because of the rain but it looks like it was well maintained. I would definitely stay here again!

I'm confused with all of the high ratings and wondering if we stayed at the same place.My stay at Comfort Inn Raleigh Midtown was enough to ruin my trip to Raleigh. To start, the night stand next to the bed was CRAWLING with ants. I had to throw things away that we had sitting there, it was absolutely disgusting. The whole room felt filthy, my socks were black from walking around on the floors. The room smelled like a mixture of smoke and chlorine used to cover up the smell. This might have been okay if the staff cleaned your room when you're gone, but they don't. You have to go down to the front desk and request housekeeping instead of it being a regular service.There is absolutely zero sound proofing from the hallways or outside. We heard our neighbors screaming at each other very late into the night both inside and outside. You could seriously hear a pin drop in the hallway when you have your door shut. All in all we only stayed for 2 nights and tried to spend as little time possible in the hotel.Overall, my advice is similar to other reviews I've seen. For what you're getting, you're better off spending half the price and staying in a motel 6.

Dee Lewis Naymon: Very hard to locate and get into. When we did finally check in to our room there were no towels. I had to go back to the desk several times before we got anything. Even though the room is very large and like a mini suite it was not the cleanest. Several gum wrappers were on the floor and there was snot on the wall in the shower, along with body hair. It definitely wasn't worth the money especially when it advertises that it has its own restaurant and it does not, it has been close for a long time. And also does not serve any form of breakfast whatsoever and the coffee area that they talk about it's a little pre-made pot sitting in a small corner. No I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone, Especially since there are so many available in the Raleigh area to choose from.

Justin Scober: I'm a Marriott BonVoy member (RIP SPG), and Four Points is one of my favorite go-to hotels, but this one is by far the worst one I've ever been to. Heck, this is the first one I've ever had a bad experience with. I should've known something was up when I overheard a call at the front desk from another customer complaining about the tub not being cleaned, but I decided to proceed with my booked room anyway. After I finally got my key and went to my room, I never felt so disrespected and disgusted. They gave me a key to a room that was NOT even cleaned yet! Trash was still in the trash can, beds were unmade, toilet was continuously running, tub still wet from shower, and some other things here and there. I was so heated that I checked out with any explanation, because I most likely would have caused a scene if I did. I was actually surprised the guy at the front desk didn't even ask if there was something wrong with the room after seeing that I checked out about 15 minutes after checking in. It's bluntly clear that they don't care.

Nadine Shillingford: La semana pasada, reservé un paquete de vacaciones de Southwest Airlines de última hora para llevar a mi hija a recorridos universitarios en el área de Raleigh-Durham. AE Waterfalls: Reservé una habitación con un balcón que daba al patio con check in temprano, con confirmación por correo electrónico, y no recibí ninguno. Me dijeron que, dado que reservamos a través de un tercero, si no nos gustaba, entonces podemos irnos. ¿Quién le dice eso a un invitado? Cafetera rota, sin secador de pelo, sin jabón de baño ni champú, y un inodoro abierto.Nunca me han tratado tan groseramente como en la recepción y nunca volveré aquí.

Elizabeth Eskew: Si está acostumbrado a la limpieza y los estándares de los hoteles Marriott o Hilton normales, ¡este hotel no es para usted! Es, con mucho, el peor Marriott / cuatro puntos que hemos experimentado. El personal era agradable y lo más complaciente posible, pero el hotel y la habitación en sí eran terribles. Whole Heart: Bote de basura rebosante de escombros afuera, cajas aleatorias con impresoras en ellas en la acera a las 11 p.m., jardines horrendos. Los pasillos y el ascensor estaban en ruinas. La habitación era una broma. Falta el teclado en la cubierta, falta la puerta en los muebles, la silla se estaba desmoronando. Sinceramente, me siento incómodo quedándome aquí. No se siente seguro o limpio en todo.

La puerta del balcón está atascada y no se abre.Manchas en las cortinasPor $130. Una noche para esto es ridículoLa habitación realmente necesita una buena limpieza.
